Gigi Hadid Just Showed Her Support for Lady Gaga (Again) in a Very Unexpected Way


Lady Gaga hosted a live-stream meditation yesterday on Instagram Stories in honor of Mental Health Awareness Day, where she talked openly about her struggles as well as how young people can deal with issues like depression and anxiety. Granted, most of the stream was silent—it was a meditation, after all—but she did share a few nuggets of wisdom.

“I have chronic pain and I have mental issues and I find [meditation] helpful for both of those things,” she said. “I think a lot about how I talk to myself now, and how I want to talk to myself. How do I want to talk to myself tomorrow? Sometimes that’s really helpful to think about when I’m looking in the mirror.”

Thousands of Gaga’s Little Monsters tuned in for this livestream, but one person in particular caught our attention. In a show of support for Gaga opening up about her issues, Gigi Hadid also watched the meditation. And she didn’t just watch: She left a very sweet comment.

“GORRGG,” Hadid wrote on the stream, which was captured by a Gaga fan Twitter account. Check it out for yourself, below:

Hadid is the last person we’d expect to see pop up on an Instagram Live comment thread. If you know her well, though, then this shouldn’t surprise you. Hadid and Gaga are friends, and she actually gave the pop star gifts last week (comfy Tommy x Gigi swag) to support her through her chronic pain.

“Thank you @gigihadid & @tommyhilfiger for these generous gifts during my time of healing. Totally my style and so thoughtful and bad ass. My favorite combination,” Gaga wrote on Instagram, to which Hadid responded, “Anything to make u smile.”

Celebrities Are Posting Hilarious #PuberMe Photos in Support of Puerto Rico


It’s probably safe to say most of us have photos from when we were around 12 or 13, just as we were going through puberty, that we’d rather not see ever again. And whenever they do surface on social media or while you’re flipping through old photo albums, we start to shudder and think, “How did I ever look like that?” Well, Nick Kroll and Steven Colbert are banking on that. That’s why they started the trending hashtag #PuberMe to raise funds for Puerto Rico’s hurricane relief.

When Kroll appeared on Colbert’s show Thursday night he discussed his upcoming Netflix show Big Mouth, a cartoon series about characters in the midst of puberty. He’d already created the hashtag to encourage celebrities to share the cringe-worthy photos of their early teenage years so the rest us can see that we really weren’t alone. But Colbert took Kroll’s idea one step further when he announced that his AmeriCone Dream Foundation would be partnering with Kroll to promote the hashtag.

“I’m happy to announce that for every celebrity—and I get to determine who’s a celebrity—who posts their awkward teenage photos with the hashtags #PuberMe and #PuertoRicoRelief, the AmeriCone Dream Foundation will donate $1,000 to One America Appeal,” Colbert announced. That’s the fund set up by former Presidents Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter to raise money for hurricane relief.

Kroll promised to match whatever amount of money is raised.

So far Twitter and Instagram have been blowing up with celebrities sharing their pubescent photos. Some are pretty hilarious and others are totally unrecognizable. Keep scrolling to see some of our favorites.

It’s been amazing to see the outpouring of love and support from celebrities like Beyoncé who released a remix of “Mi Gente” by J Balvin and Willy William and will donate the proceeds to relief charities and Jennifer Lopez who donated $1 million to Puerto Rico’s hurricane victims.

Chrissy Teigen Asked Moms on Twitter for Moral Support, and the Responses Are Hilarious


If there’s an celebrity who has been transparent about being a mom—meaning she’s shown us that not every single moment is sunshine and rainbows—it’s Chrissy Teigen. She’s put mom-shamers in their place when they gotten out of hand. She’s taken down trolls who criticize her for undergoing IVF treatments. She’s even opened up to Glamour about her struggles with postpartum depression. It’s refreshing to see a woman being so open about the hard parts of being a mom, because society still tends to treat mamas like they have to be beacons of perfection—right when life is getting a little chaotic for them.

On Friday Teigen must have been having a particularly difficult day with her 1-year-old daughter, Luna, because she turned to Twitter for some support from her fellow moms. She might have also been looking for a good laugh with her tweet: “I am having a very rough day and it would help me a lot if any moms would like to share stories of their kids being mean to them.”

Hilarity ensued: if you didn’t already know, kids can be really freaking mean. Teigen’s tweet already has over 3,000 replies from moms and dads bullied by their savage offspring.

Of course Teigen’s followers brought out their best mean kid stories because, let’s be honest, we all have them. And while it’s frustrating to deal with in the moment, looking back on the crazy things kids say and do when they’re little is pretty hilarious. We’re hoping Chrissy reveals what’s been going on with her own little one. She did admit she’s gotten a few slaps in one response to a follower. But baby Luna is so cute, it would be impossible to stay mad at her.

Ben Affleck Low-Key Attended the 2017 Emmy Awards to Support Girlfriend Lindsay Shookus

Did you catch Ben Affleck at the 2017 Emmy Awards? No? That’s because he was busy being a dutiful plus-one to his new girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, who is a producer on Saturday Night Live.

While Affleck is used to being front and center at awards shows—typically as a nominee, winner, or just an A-list celeb—he took a backseat at this year’s Emmys and let Shookus have her shine. That included Affleck not walking the red carpet, following Shookus’ lead backstage, and even holding her clutch for her (as all supportive partners should), according to E! Live From the Red Carpet. And as it turns out, Shookus needed her hands free later on to accept her Emmy win, along with the rest of the SNL crew, for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.

Affleck also practiced being Shookus’ No. 1 fan, causing a small scene when SNL was announced the Emmy winner. “He jumped up and cheered when SNL won,” a witness told Us Weekly. After the win, the two were “holding hands and whispering and smiling,” according to the same onlooker.

Another stealthy attendee captured the duo walking backstage together, with Affleck clearly letting Shookus take the lead (it was her night, after all).

And if Affleck’s goal was to not to steal any attention away from his new girlfriend, the strategy worked relatively well—as the live telecast never once panned to the actor in his 15th row seat. Instead, viewers were left only with a brief glimpse of the two in the background as Lorne Michaels stood to accept his award.

Shookus and Affleck have reportedly been dating since July, and were most recently spotted attending the U.S. Open men’s final last weekend. Neither have commented on the new relationship—but we’ll let Affleck’s actions do the talking.

Ivanka Trump Once Tweeted in Support of an Undocumented Immigrant—and It's Coming Back to Bite Her


Ivanka Trump once tweeted in support of an undocumented immigrant who worked her way up to a Wall Street job—and in the wake of the president’s controversial DACA decision, Twitter isn’t letting her forget it.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump called for an end to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, an Obama-era program protecting undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children from deportation. It didn’t take long for Twitter users to dredge up a 2015 tweet from Ivanka Trump linking to a list of what she’d been up to over the past week—including reading a Bloomberg article about Julissa Arce, an undocumented immigrant who became a Goldman Sachs star.

“We love this story about an undocumented immigrant who worked her way up on Wall Street,” the first daughter wrote at the time.

In re-sharing the 2015 tweet, people have been calling out Ivanka—who has said she tries to “stay out of politics”—for not speaking up in defense of DACA.

Arce, who shared a stage with Ivanka at the 2015 Forbes Women’s Summit, condemned Ivanka’s support for her father in an essay for CNN published in September of 2016.

“[Ivanka] had an incredible opportunity to stand up to racism and hate when her father announced his candidacy, yet she has failed to disavow the hateful rhetoric that we have heard time and again,” Arce wrote. Last month, Arce tweeted that she “wouldn’t have been able to contribute to this country” if Trump were president before she gained citizenship.

As news spread Monday about Trump’s impending DACA announcement, immigrants who had been protected under the program—who are known as “Dreamers”—held a candlelight vigil outside Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner‘s home. They carried signs with phrases such as “Ivanka and Jared, please protect Dreamers, keep DACA!”

Dreamers may have seen a glimmer of hope in Ivanka because she hasn’t always expressed the same anti-immigration sentiments as her father. In April, not long after Trump announced his travel ban, Ivanka said on NBC that the U.S. may need to let in more Syrian refugees. But when it comes to DACA, she hasn’t spoken up.

Arce addressed Ivanka’s silence in a Monday tweet, writing, “Before things got Political, @IvankaTrump loved my story. But now her silence says it all.”

Jennifer Aniston Doesn't Support That Joey-Rachel Endgame Fan Theory

Two weeks ago the Internet freaked out over a 100-tweet thread that laid out—in detail—why Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) should’ve ended up together on Friends. If you don’t have time to give the whole thread a read, here are the main points: Ross was a misogynistic, dinosaur-loving monster who never viewed Rachel as a friend, didn’t care about her career, and actually liked it when she was economically beneath him. Joey, on the other hand, truly treasured his friendship with Rachel, supported her professional ambitions, and took the time to get to know her as an adult before taking the plunge. The thread had droves of Friends fans—myself included—cheering. David Schwimmer is a fantastic actor, but Ross Geller, to put it bluntly, sucks.

But Aniston doesn’t think this. In a new interview with ELLE.com, Aniston makes it very clear she doesn’t support this Rachel-Joey endgame theory.

“No! No, no,” Aniston said. “They tried! I think there was a moment when Joey and Rachel got together that maybe it could happened, but it didn’t. It was Ross and Rachel all the way. I really believe that if there’s an afterworld of Friends, they’re still thriving. Don’t you? I just don’t think Joey and Rachel could have made it. I think it was more physical than emotional with them. They were friends with benefits, and they left it at that.”

Aniston does have a point. Joey and Rachel’s chemistry was physical more than anything; the two really didn’t have much of an intellectual (or even an emotional) spark. Plus, there was too much drama involved in their relationship for it to ever work. Remember that episode where Joey and Rachel kept seeing Ross’ face when they tried to kiss each other? It was clear then nothing serious was ever going to happen between them.

That being said, there’s definitely something to say about Ross not being the right person for Rachel. All the points raised on that Twitter thread were valid; he’s a very problematic character. Who knows? Maybe Rachel didn’t get off the plane in another universe.
