Jennifer Aniston Lurked on Her Ex John Mayer's Instagram Live

If you’ve ever creeped on an ex‘s social media, don’t worry: You’re in great company. Jennifer Aniston just did exactly that on April 5, when she surprisingly popped into her ex-boyfriend John Mayer‘s Instagram Live.

Here’s what happened: Mayer was filming his weekly IG Live show Current Mood on April 5, specifically discussing the recent passing of Bill Withers, the iconic singer behind hits like “Lean on Me” and “Ain’t No Sunshine.” Mayer was friendly with Withers and joked that 100 percent of the things the icon said were useful while only 4 percent of what he (Mayer) says is useful. That’s when Aniston came in with a comment.

“For as long as I have been a fan of his or knew him personally, I never saw the man compromise on his principles. Ever,” Mayer said on his IG Live. “And that’s just more to take. That’s just more to take. Whether he was speaking to you or speaking to an interviewer 15 years ago, 14, 13 years ago, everything he said is useful. Four percent of the things that I say are useful. One hundred percent of the things he said were useful.”

To that last remark, Aniston replied with four laughing emojis, which, of course, the internet captured for eternity. See it for yourself, below.

Truly, is there anything more relatable than Jennifer Aniston watching John Mayer’s Instagram Live? (The couple dated from 2008 to 2009.) In this era of self-isolation and social distancing because of the coronavirus, people get bored. And what do you do when you’re bored? Insta-stalk your exes, obviously. Aniston really is just like us.

On her relationship with Mayer, Aniston told Vogue in December 2008, “He is a wonderful guy. We care about each other. It’s funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, We maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. It’s painful. There was no malicious intent. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that’s where it is.”

Watch Jennifer Aniston Surprise a Nurse Who Tested Positive for Coronavirus

Across the world, people are expressing their gratitude to health care workers on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus, cheering from their balconies and porches and posting on social media—and Jennifer Aniston is no different.

The Friends star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on April 2 (remotely, of course) to surprise a cardiovascular nurse from Utah, Kimball Fairbanks, who tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in quarantine, away from her young daughters and unable to work. Fairbanks was chatting with Kimmel about how she’s feeling (her symptoms are on the mild side) and what work was like before she started feeling ill. He then told her he had a surprise for her. “We wanted to cheer you up a little bit. So I’d like you to meet somebody. Her name is Jennifer,” Kimmel said.

Enter Aniston, who brought a big smile to Fairbanks’s face. “Jen, I don’t know if you can see how much more excited Kimball was to see you than she was to see me,” the talk show host said. “It’s remarkable.”

“Hi, honey, it’s so good to meet you,” Aniston said. “I just have to say, God bless you and all of you that are out there doing what you’re doing. I just, I don’t even know how to express my gratitude to everything that you guys are doing, putting your health at risk and all of that. You’re just phenomenal.” They also surprised Fairbanks, who has been ordering in food while in isolation, with a $10,000 gift certificate for Postmates. Kimmel added that the delivery service would also be sending gift cards to all the nurses on her floor.

Jennifer Aniston says she’s been home for three weeks. “The most challenging thing is watching news and trying to digest all that’s going on out there,” she said. “I allow a check-in in the morning, and then I’ll do a check-in in the evening, and that is it, because basically it’s regurgitating the exact same thing.” But like so many of us, she’s been doing a lot of cleaning, organizing, puzzles, and buying random stuff on Amazon. “Doing dishes is now my new favorite, favorite thing in the world, because not only are you doing your dishes but you’re washing your hands,” she said. “[And] organizing. I was a crazy person the first week and then I realized I had to pull back because I was going to run out of closets. [We’ve got] 30 more days. I’ve got to pace myself.”

Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, and Their Kids Are Filming Dance Videos to Pass the Time

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are just like us. They too are social distancing and staying at home to slow the spread of coronavirus. Naturally, they have a lot more time on their hands, and they’re spending some of it filming iconic dancing videos with their kids (Emme, Max, Natasha, and Ella).

Case in point: this new clip Rodriguez posted on Instagram of him, J. Lo, and the whole fam. “Worst to best ?❤️,” he wrote in the caption. He kicks things off and J.Lo, of course, is the encore. Watch the video for yourself, below:

Talent definitely seems to run in this family. Emme, whose father is superstar Marc Anthony, performed on stage with her mom during this year’s Super Bowl and blew everyone away with her voice and poise. Those pipes!

Earlier last week, Lopez posted a funny video of her son, Max, delivering drinks. “We can’t go out to any restaurants or anything but the service and entertainment here is pretty good…? #StaySafe #familytime,” she wrote on Instagram.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have not said anything yet about their upcoming wedding. (The couple announced their engagement in March 2019. They’ve been dating publicly since February 2017.) According to reports, they were set to wed this summer. But given the uncertainty of what the next few months will look like in the United States, it’s unclear at this point if the nuptials will be postponed

In the meantime, we are very much looking forward to more dance videos from this fun-loving family. Maybe J.Lo can post some tutorials of the dances from some of her most famous videos, like “Jenny From the Block.” #JLoChallenge, anyone? With all this time at home, I should be able to master at least one combination of choreography, right? Right?!

Real Women of Are Sharing Bikini Selfies on Instagram Because of the Jennifer Lopez Challenge

Jennifer Lopez unintentionally started a viral body positivity challenge on Instagram after her latest selfie inspired women of all ages to post bikini photos with the hashtag #JLoChallenge.

Between performing in the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show, starring as a seasoned stripper/scammer in Hustlers, continuing to rock that green Versace dress, the 50-year-old mother of two becomes more of an icon by the day.

On February 16, the singer and actor star posted a mirror selfie of herself in a white bikini on Instagram. She captioned the snap “relaxed and recharged,” but little did she know this was the beginning of the latest social media movement. Aside from those toned abs (which, damn), the viral challenge is about more than looking good”—it’s about the power women’s bodies have at all ages and sizes.

J. Lo’s post inspired women across the social media platform to post their own version of her selfie, as well as share why they’ve decided to step outside their comfort zones. Maria Kang, a health and fitness influencer and founder of No Excuses Mom, was one of the first to share a photo of herself in a white bikini alongside an important message to moms.

“Thank you @jlo for inspiring this spontaneous pic in a white bikini this morning,” she captioned her post. “Not a celebrity. Not getting millions to look great in a movie (hello, Hustlers! ? or dating a hot athlete (although my hubby is kinda cute!) BUT, it doesn’t matter… Own your story.”

The 39-year-old continued: “If she can do it, if I can do it, if thousands of working moms who come in all sizes, shapes, and ages can do it—then YOU CAN DO IT!!!⁣” She then encouraged her 77,000 followers to post their own bathroom selfie in a bikini for the #jlochallenge.”

Lopez eventually caught wind of the challenge and applauded all the women who have proudly taken part in it. “Keep growing, keep pushing,” the mother-of-two wrote on her Instagram Story.

Take a look at some of the beautiful women who’ve shared their stories in honor of the #JLOChallenge, below:

The viral #JLoChallenge is a glorious reminder that beauty, health, and confidence are not exclusive to celebrities.

Ben Affleck Says His Divorce from Jennifer Garner Is the ‘Biggest Regret’ of His Life

In a new interview with the New York Times, Ben Affleck gets candid about his 2018 divorce from Jennifer Garner, calling it the “biggest regret” of his life.

“The biggest regret of my life is this divorce,” he told the newspaper. (The couple separated in 2015.) “Shame is really toxic. There is no positive byproduct of shame. It’s just stewing in a toxic, hideous feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing.”

Affleck is now sober, but he says his drinking exacerbated the issues in his marriage to Garner. “I drank relatively normally for a long time,” he said to NYT. “What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart. This was 2015, 2016. My drinking, of course, created more marital problems.”

He doesn’t get into specifics, and says he tries not to harp on mistakes from his past—but he does own up to them. “It’s not particularly healthy for me to obsess over the failures—the relapses—and beat myself up,” he said. “I have certainly made mistakes. I have certainly done things that I regret. But you’ve got to pick yourself up, learn from it, learn some more, try to move forward.”

Later in the article he says, “People with compulsive behavior, and I am one, have this kind of basic discomfort all the time that they’re trying to make go away. You’re trying to make yourself feel better with eating or drinking or sex or gambling or shopping or whatever. But that ends up making your life worse. Then you do more of it to make that discomfort go away. Then the real pain starts. It becomes a vicious cycle you can’t break. That’s at least what happened to me.”

Affleck and Garner were married in 2005 and officially divorced in 2018. They have three children together: Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Sam, 7. Read more of Affleck’s candid interview with the New York Times here.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's Relationship: A Complete Timeline

January 7, 2005. And then, just like that, the fairy tale was over. “We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration,” Pitt and Aniston said in a joint statement to People at the time. “We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another. We ask in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months.”

May 2005. Pitt had already filmed Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie in 2004 and soon their relationship would become a focal point in the press. He was soon photographed with Jolie and her young son, Maddox, in Kenya, sparking rumors and the beginning of the Brangelina era. The two actors also starred in a photo shoot for W titled “Domestic Bliss” where they portrayed a happy family life.

September 2005. Aniston appears on the cover of Vanity Fair and gives one of her most famous interviews. “It was extremely hurtful to Jen that he was seen with another woman so quickly after they were separated,” her friend Andrea Bendewald said in the story.

“A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children,” Aniston said of the accusations that her not wanting a child caused the split. “That really pissed me off. I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will! The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I’ve always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all.”

Of the W shoot she said, “Is it odd timing? Yeah. But it’s not my life. He makes his choices. He can do—whatever. We’re divorced, and you can see why.” And then she uttered this famous line: “There’s a sensitivity chip that’s missing.”

October 2005. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s divorce is finalized

December 2008. Aniston gives another high-profile interview about Jolie and Pitt, this time to Vogue. She references an interview Jolie also gave to Vogue, where she implied she and Pitt fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. (“I think we found this strange friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened. I think a few months in I realized, ‘God, I can’t wait to get to work,'” Jolie said specifically.)

“There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” Aniston told Vogue about Jolie’s interview. “I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss…That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.”
