Joe Jonas Dressed Up Like Fiancée Sophie Turner's 'Game of Thrones' Character for Halloween


Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are stepping out again, having made their red-carpet debut at the beginning of October. They’ve had a habit of getting tattoos to commemorate their love of each other since the beginning of the year, but Jonas really stepped it up by dressing up for Halloween as his fiancée. Or, rather, as his fiancée’s alter ego, Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones.

As it turns out, he’s a huge stan of both Turner and the show: He professed his love of the HBO favorite back in October. “I would have [made a Game of Thrones cameo] in a heartbeat, but unfortunately, it’s not going to happen,” Jonas told Variety. “That would have been amazing. I would have loved it.”

Jonas attended Kate Hudson’s annual Halloween party dressed up as Stark on Saturday night, leaving his stubble carefully groomed but donning a Sansa-esque red wig and floor-length turquoise velvet gown.

It looks like a great time was had by all, and to be honest, we’re extremely pleased that Jonas finally got his Game of Thrones cameo. Sort of.

Sophie Turner Says Fans Might Be 'Disappointed' by *Game of Thrones*' Series Finale


The final season of Game of Thrones will begin in April, which is exciting, but something Sansa Stark herself (Sophie Turner) just said might give fans pause. In a new interview with IGN, Turner admitted that reactions to the show’s finale will likely be divisive, although she personally found it to be a suitable ending.

“As an actor it was really satisfying,” she explained about filming the finale. “I think for everyone, everyone’s storylines — to be able to act out the way that it all ends. It was really satisfying for us. Who knows if it will be satisfying for the fans. I think a lot of fans will be disappointed and a lot of fans will be over the moon, I think. I think it will be really interesting to see people’s reactions, but for me reading the script it was just, like, heartbreaking to read at the very final page of the script it just says, ‘end of Game of Thrones.’ That was really emotional.” However, Turner was effusive in her praise about how Sansa’s arc ends, even teasing what to expect when we meet up with her again. “Over the course of the series she’s been completely unaware of what she wants, where she wants to be, who she really is,” Turner said, “and at the end of this season, I feel she is the most self-assured character in the show.” (Does that at least confirm that Sansa makes it through the whole season unfazed by a White Walker?)

HBO, unsurprisingly, hasn’t been as forthcoming with what season 8 will entail for other characters, although we do know a few key tidbits: It’s only going to be six episodes long, although those episodes will be longer in length compared with what we’ve seen in the past. (Think six movies.) Sansa is also going to have to deal with a “new threat,” while Cersei Lannister is probably going to die. What, you expected a big, happy ending?

Sophie Turner Isn't Playing Any Games in the First Epic Trailer for *Dark Phoenix*


As the first trailer for Dark Phoenix depicts, we have many reasons to be worried about Jean Gray (Sophie Turner) thanks to the aftermath of a mission gone wrong with the rest of her X-Men gang.

Serving as the catalyst for these superheroes, a routine rescue mission in space soon turns dangerous when a solar flair strikes Jean. For any other person, that would’ve meant death, but thanks to her extremely powerful mutant DNA, it means one thing and one thing only: unleashing within her an even more powerful mutant (the titular Dark Phoenix), one that wants to cause nothing but catastrophe and chaos, of course! It’s not ideal for this faithful team of do-gooders, but thanks to the help of her fellow X-Men — all your favorites, like a shape-shifting Jennifer Lawrence and a magnetic Michael Fassbender, are back — she might be able to squash away her second personality for good, much to the chagrin of Jessica Chastain’s new villain.

To better prepare for these dual roles, Turner rigorously studied multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia in the lead-up to filming. “So many scenes I have to go from broken-down Jean — that’s when she’s most susceptible to Phoenix infiltrating her — to this confident, arrogant, judgmental character within milliseconds,” she told EW earlier this year.

Chastain, as the film’s antagonist, also noted the amusing inspiration for her character, who defies what we typically see in a superhero outing. “Simon [Kinberg, the director] and I were talking about the character and I said, ‘I keep thinking of the vet who tells you you need to put your dog down,’” she explained. “There’s something very clinical about it.”

Dark Phoenix will be released on February 14.

Celebrities appear to have a new favorite pastime: Watching Serena Williams dismantle the competition at the U.S. Open. On Tuesday, two-thirds of the Jonas Brothers made rooting for Serena a family affair, as they were joined by their respective fiancées, Sophie Turner and Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka commemorated the double date with an Instagram featuring her future husband, Nick Jonas, and future in-laws. She captioned it with, “It’s a #famjam at the #usopen.” Nick also shared the same picture on social media, opting for a simple tennis ball emoji caption. This was the second family double date for Joe Jonas and Sophie in as many days, after they were spotted at the U.S. Open on Monday alongside Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle, PopSugar reports.

Since their whirlwind romance began in May, Nick and Priyanka have been putting their love on display for all to see, and Tuesday’s excursion was no different. “Priyanka put her head on Nick’s shoulder — they looked so cute,” a source told People.

This wasn’t the first time this fabulous foursome teamed up for a night on the town. In July, they were spotted dining at London’s 34 Mayfair, with the oldest Jonas Brother, Kevin, also in tow. Prior to that, Nick, Joe, Sophie, and Priyanka were spotted biking around New York City during Fourth of July weekend, The Daily Mail reports.

In fact, the love these two couples have for each other was apparent from the jump, after Joe and Sophie congratulated Nick and Priyanka on their engagement via Instagram. “I couldn’t be happier for my brother. Welcome to the family @priyankachopra We love you,” Joe wrote, with Sophie adding,”Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I’m so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra . I love you both @nickjonas.”

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Just Got Coordinating Tattoos for the Sweetest Reason


Following what seems to be a trend of celebrity couples getting tattoos together honoring their forefathers (recent example: Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s matching “8418” tattoos honoring Davidson’s late father, a 9/11 firefighter with that badge number), Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner decided to get some fresh ink together, each honoring their respective grandfathers.

According to Just Jared, the two got tattoos on Friday by Mr. K at celeb-fave ink spot Bang Bang Tattoos honoring each of their granddads.

Jonas opted for a postage-stamp-esque protrait of “PaPa Miller,” with what appears to be his birthdate (August 21, 1940) below. He posted the final product on Instagram. Turner, meanwhile, paid tribute to her grandfather (whom she called her “hero” on Instagram) with a delicate tattoo on her pinky finger.

This isn’t the couple’s first tattoo speaking to their coupled-up status: Jonas got a tattoo of Turner on his arm—along with some potentially coded messaging—back in March. The tattoo, a line art representation of a woman looking over her shoulder, was placed right below some ink of an intricate knot. Given that the couple are engaged, some fans read into it as a “tying the knot with Sophie” kind of thing. Whatever the actual meaning, the tattooing has continued, and the results are beyond sweet.

As far as when these two are going to get another permanent addition to their fingers—i.e. a wedding ring—that’s still TBD: Although they got engaged in mid-October last year, Jonas and Turner reportedly haven’t yet really started planning their wedding, opting to wait instead until season eight of Game of Thrones was finished filming. But now that it has, we’re all here for the details if and as they’re revealed.

One thing we do know: Turner’s Game of Thrones co-star Maisie Williams will be a bridesmaid for the festivities—and given the Game of Thrones turnout at Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s June wedding, we can only hope for another.

Sophie Turner Beauty Interview: Hair Color, Makeup, and More


No one knows the life-changing power of hair color better than Sophie Turner. The 22-year-old actress and face of Wella Professionals is a natural blond, but in her biggest roles to date—as Sansa Stark on HBO’s Game of Thrones and as Jean Grey in next year’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix—she slays as a redhead. We had the opportunity to talk with the breakout star, who’s engaged to DNCE front man Joe Jonas, about how she uses hair color as a reflection of her emotional state and who her current girl crush is. (Spoiler alert: It’s Cardi B.)

Glamour: Will you try a new hair color once GOT and X-Men wrap?

Sophie Turner: I would definitely consider dyeing my hair brunette or something crazier like a bright pink. I’m not sure what mind-state I’ll be in once Game of Thrones ends, so I might want to stay just like Sansa and keep the red. We’ll see!

Glamour: You tend to go with classic waves when your hair is red. What’s your favorite way to style it when you’re blond?

ST: I like to leave it natural and let my hair do its own thing—I had it cut a little shorter recently, which felt edgier. All I do is put in an antifrizz balm, and I’m good to go.

Glamour: What’s your hair care routine?

ST: I use Wella Fusionplex shampoo and conditioner every other day. It protects hair from heat damage, which is amazing, because when you’re on set, it’s always being curled or straightened. And I put on Wellaplex No. 3 Hair Stabilizer mask while I tidy up my room and watch an episode of 90 Day Fiancé.

Glamour: Other must-haves?

ST: Tom Ford eyeshadow and Dior Diorshow Mascara. That’s my favorite mascara; I cannot go a day without it. And Charlotte Tilbury undereye cream. It wakes me up, gets rid of the puffiness, and deals with the bags.

Glamour: Has acting changed your approach to beauty?

ST: When I see myself onscreen with bad hair or bad skin, it affects me. The world can see it. It’s important for me to maintain a healthy lifestyle to keep my skin and hair looking their best.

Glamour: Who’s your current beauty inspiration?

ST: I love the way Zoë Kravitz changes it up so often. Like her hair: One minute it’s short, the next she has dreads, and then she’s blond. And Cardi B is killing it. Every look is so amazing and transformative.
