Ashley Graham and her friends certainly know how to throw a baby shower. But this party was no typical pre-baby celebration where guests guess the newborn’s weight and due date or wrap the mom-to-be’s pregnant belly with toilet paper.
No, this shower was totally unconventional, serving up what was surely one of the wildest parties of the year. Fans got a look inside the party thanks to social media posts by some of the supermodel’s friends. Derek Blasberg shared a series of videos showing guests enjoying stations with manicures, piercings, and even tattoos—real ones. And Graham’s friend and doula Latham Thomas posted more details about the night’s activities.
“This shower was so ? @kissthedeejay was on the 1s and 2s, you could get tattoos, ear piercings and decorate baby onesies that are being donated to families in need,” Thomas wrote on Instagram. “I was too chicken to get a tat or another ear piercing ?@Fridamom made a custom labor and delivery kit for Ashley – so adorable!!!!”

There were a few traditional touches, as well, including “It’s a mom!” signs, cupcakes, and candy, according to People.
In another video posted by Thomas, Graham gave a toast saying the party was “bigger than our wedding” and “like Christmas.” “If you haven’t gotten your ears pierced or a tattoo, you have to do that. There’s so much food, there’s a big cake that’s bigger than the one at our wedding,” she added.
Graham appeared to have a great time, posing for pictures with guests, including her baby’s two grandmothers.

And, of course, there was dancing, with Graham showing off that’s she’s definitely still got moves.

“Thank you all so much. We can’t raise this baby boy without all of you, you’re our community,” Graham told guests. And we would like to thank Graham for proving that baby showers need not be boring at all.
Ever feel like you’re the last person on earth to learn about a trend or TV show? Welcome to Late to the Party, where we’ll be digging into widely loved topics and techniques through the lens of someone who just discovered them. Everyone’s invited, because it’s never too late to join the hype.
I’m pretty fortunate to be blessed in the eyebrow department. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had fairly thick dark brows, which I used to hate, but actually worked out in my favor as Cara Delevingne rose to fame. Ever since then, I’ve barely tweezed them.
Although I rarely fill in my brows, I never leave the house without a swipe of brow gel to keep the longer hairs in place. I’ve been loyal to Glossier Boy Brow for years, but having run out recently, I’ve just been using whatever clear gel shows up on my desk (one of the many perks of the job). I love the natural look of clear gel, but for whatever reason it doesn’t want to keep my brows in place for more than an hour or two. Then in a recent meeting, I was reminded of a technique that may be the answer to my prayers: Soap brows.
Our editor-in-chief had just returned from Europe, where all her friends were currently obsessed with the technique, which technically went viral back in 2016, but is having a resurgence once again thanks to social media.
The idea behind soap brows is exactly how it sounds: Instead of using a brow gel, you use a bar of soap to shape and set your brows in place. While the trick has been re-popularized by beauty bloggers, it’s actually a classic makeup artist and drag queen technique that’s been used on photoshoots for years. Aside from being insanely cheap, soap is perfect for getting those really fluffy, brushed-up, editorial brows that gel alone can’t quite achieve.
Celebrity brow specialist Joey Healy says that this technique is best for those with darker, longer brows. He notes that if you also fill in your brows, this might not work for you as the soap can move the pigment around. And if you have more fragile brows, a gel might work better for you as the smushing required by soap brows can slow hair growth.
As for putting soap brows into practice, the technique itself is actually quite simple. All you need is a bar of soap (something clear like Pears Original is best), a disposable spoolie brush, and some water or setting spray. Just wet your brush and lightly drag it across the soap. “If you do too much it will start to lather and will look a little white,” says Healy. “You just want it to be ever so damp, and then press your brows in the direction of hair growth; up and then over, and then down.” The result is brows that are essentially glued into place, but looks extremely natural.
Me with my soap brows.

To be honest, I was totally skeptical. If it was actually so revolutionary, why wasn’t everyone throwing out their brow gel in favor of soap? But I was surprised at how user friendly it is. I love the way it makes my brows stay perky and fluffy, and it actually kept them that way all day, without feeling flaky or chunky. It wasn’t messy, and I spent less time on my brows than usual.
Prepare to get very jealous of all the people who happened to be having a fun Friday night out at a certain bar New York City—because their nights went next level, thanks to the arrival of Jennifer Lawrence and Adele. Cannot. Imagine.
But, according to multiple fan accounts, that’s exactly what happened last night (March 22) at Pieces, a gay bar in Greenwich Village. People are speculating that it might have been a bachelorette party to celebrate Lawrence’s recent engagement to Cooke Maroney. If ever there were a textbook case of FOMO, this is it. One person at the bar had all of our reactions (had, you know, we been there): “I’M AT PIECES AND ADELE AND JENNIFER LAWRENCE ARE HERE LMFAOO.”
Apparently, the duo (who famously hung out a while back with Emma Stone) were at the bar with a group of friends when Adele and Lawrence were called on stage by the evening’s emcee, drag queen Brita Filter. When asked what she does for a living, Adele joked that she’s “currently a stay-at-home mum.”
See for yourself below:
Another video shows Lawrence teasing Adele for losing a drinking game—and then, when the actress is asked to play, Adele teases, “She’s fucking engaged; she’s not even relevant to be here.” Lawrence proceeds to clap back with, “That has nothing to do with my drinking ability.”
“Randomly getting turnt with JeLaw and Adele. NBD,” another Pieces patron tweeted. “JENNIFER LAWRENCE AND ADELE WENT THERE TOGETHER, UGH FRIENDSHIP GOALS,” wrote another.
Even if it wasn’t a bachelorette party, it seems like Adele and Lawrence had a pretty incredible girls’ night out—we’ll just assume our invite got stuck in the spam folder.
Two weeks ago Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in a gorgeous multiday celebration in India, forever preserved on the cover of People. But the newlyweds are already back on the social circuit, having RSVP’d yes to the nuptials of heiress Isha Ambani, a longtime friend of Chopra’s—and one of her bridesmaids. (This is the same event where Beyoncé performed at a pre-wedding party, so you know it’s big.)
According to Vogue, Chopra and Jonas touched down in Mumbai earlier this week. And for the first wedding since her own, the actress chose a stunning, couture-grade coral look.
Check out Mr. and Mrs. Jonas’ wedding-guest outfits.

Chopra’s lehenga were created by bridal brand Jade, designed by Monica Shah and Karishma Swali. The separates were beautifully embellished to match her Anmol jewelry. For her own wedding, Chopra turned to local Indian labels, like Khosla Jani by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, for the various ceremonies celebrated over the weekend. (She walked down the aisle wearing custom Ralph Lauren.)

Stylist Ami Patel shared a glimpse of Chopra twirling around in her outfit for Ambani’s nuptials on Instagram.
Then Chopra posted a photo of herself and her date.
Kendall Jenner might be busy getting ready to strut her stuff down the runway at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, but that didn’t stop her from fully celebrating her birthday. On Saturday night, the model hit the town with a few equally glamorous friends to celebrate her 23rd birthday with a bit of karaoke and a whole lot of balloons.
According to People, the crew consisted of Jenner, Bella Hadid, Tyler the Creator, Joan Smalls, and Justine Skye. The group arrived sometime after dark at Sing Sing Karaoke in New York City to belt out a few tunes in honor of the birthday girl.
But that wasn’t the only thing on the festive schedule: As chronicled on social media, the crew’s full day before tha honored Jenner with plenty of balloons, a limo bus, and a homemade cake made by Hadid herself at what looks like an apartment party.
In one photo from the night, shared with Skye, Jenner looked to be in the midst of a hardy laugh with an inflatable dog balloon tucked under her arm. In the photo and videos Jenner’s also wearing a black and pink feather boa.
In another photo, Jenner is pictured alongside her buddies as they don costumes, which include a bunch of purple grapes and an inflatable bathtub.
Though none of her famous family members were on hand for the celebration, they did all take time out of their day to gush about their sister on social media.
“Happy Birthday @kendalljenner I’ve never met a sweeter or prettier human being and someone who has so much fun in life!” Kim Kardashian West, 38, wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “I hope you get everything you’ve ever dreamed of for your birthday because you deserve it! I’m so happy you are my sister. I love you.”
“Happy birthday to my partner in crime, my best friend, my sister,” Kylie Jenner added in another snap. “Couldn’t have done it all without you.”
Kourtney Kardashian, the eldest of the sisters, added perhaps the sweetest message of all writing, “To my sister who gets me when none of the others do. With that sweetness that you have had since the day you were born and really held on to. Wishing you an enchanting Birthday my sister. I couldn’t live without you.”
After months of speculation (thanks in large part to a string of adorable photos and one closed-down Tiffany store rumor), Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonasfinallyconfirmed their engagement yesterday by sharing a string of sweet, intimate photos from their traditional roka ceremony on Instagram. In Hindu religious tradition, roka ceremonies are highly significant pre-wedding ceremonies signifying the first step in the wedding process. They take place in front of members of both families and are often followed by a big celebratory party. In Priyanka and Nick’s case, the big afterparty took place Saturday night in Mumbai, and according to photos and videos that guests shared on Instagram, it was a pretty magical celebration.
Taking to Instagram stories, Nick Jonas shared an adorable video from the dance floor, where the singer head-bops alongside Priyanka as she dances with her friend and fellow actress, Anusha Dandekar.
Jonas also shared two sweet photos from the party—one of the couple with his parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr, and another of his father and Chopra’s standing side by side.
Priyanka’s cousin, actress Parineeti Chopra, also shared an inside glimpse of the party, posting a string of photos with the newly-engaged couple to her Instagram. But what was perhaps even more intimate was a post the actress shared on Instagram alongside a sweet message that called Jonas “the perfect man” for her cousin.
“Today I witnessed magic and a fairytale…When we were kids, mimi didi and I used to play “ghar ghar”. We would pretend to be shy brides, have imaginary children, and serve tea to our husbands! ?? cheesy, but its because we always believed in the magic of love and hoped we would both find that perfect man for us one day!! Today there was no pretending. I cant think of a more a perfect man for her. Like I said this morning, there are two ways of judging a human being. One – travel with them, and two, eat with them. Nick, I have done both with you. And so I know you’re perfect for her!! Love her, because she loves you like mad! Protect her, because shes strong, but a soft soul inside. I love you both and wish you all the happiness forever!!!!! HAPPY ROKA AND FUTURE WEDDING!! ??@priyankachopra @nickjonas”
She also posted a few more moments:
Actress Alia Bhatt also shared a sweet memory from the party:
But these post-engagement party photos weren’t the only heartwarming images that surfaced on Instagram yesterday. After Nick and Priyanka officially confirmed their engagement, Nick’s mom Denise Jonas posted an adorably sweet message for the happy couple. “‘I have found the one whom my heart loves’ Song of Solomon 3:4 Congratulations @nickjonas @priyankachopra on your engagement. Welcome to the family!”
Nick’s dad, Kevin Jonas Sr., joined in, posting photos from the day with the caption: “What an amazing day of celebration for @nickjonas and @priyankachopra engagement and Indian culture.”
Priyanka’s future sister-in-law Sophie Turner also took to Instagram to congratulate the couple—posting a photo and adorable caption praising Jonas for his choice of bride-to-be. “Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I’m so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra. I love you both @nickjonas.”
In the end, if these gorgeous pics from the engagement festivities—and the loved-up vibes of the roka and party—are any indication, we’re betting the couple’s actual ceremony is going to be just as spectacular.
