Chrissy Teigen's Video Tribute to Insta-Husband John Legend Is Straight-Up Perfection


It’s no secret that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are #couplegoals. Just take their joint appearance at this year’s Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards where Legend told the audience, “Hello, everyone. I’m John. Also known as Chrissy Teigen’s trophy husband. Sometimes Chrissy likes to take me out on the town and show me off a little. Nights like this one, when people are taking pictures. I have a career in the music business, but we all know who the star of the family is.”

But in our social-media-driven age, it’s not just words that matter in a relationship: It all comes down to the ‘gram—more specifically, a partner’s ability to take a top-notch Instagram of their S.O. And this just so happens to be John Legend’s speciality—and this weekend, he proved himself to be in a Insta-husband class all his own.

While on vacation with their children, Luna and Miles, Legend took time out of his R&R to nail the perfect shot of Teigen on the beach: She’s living her best vacation life in an emerald green dress, squatting in the sand. And being the jokester Teigen is, she made sure to capture a video of Legend’s artistic process at work.

True to her signature wit, Teigen captioned her video: “Thank u for always supporting my Instagram dreams. This train only moves because of you(r phone) .. you are the tracks that lay the foundation .. creating a direct path to hope and possibilities of likes and curated content. what u do is important. I will never take u for granted, my king.”

She posted the result herself:

The photo of Teigen isn’t the only great shot from the family’s tropical getaway (in an undisclosed location): Earlier this week Teigen shared a twinning shot of Legend and their son, Miles.

And a pic of quickly-growing-up Luna:

Teigen also posted one more pic of her with both kids, which, per her usual style, is beyond relatable to any parent who’s taken pics for the ‘gram while on vacation. “these are my kids. honestly so tired of thinking of captions”

We feel ya, Chrissy—but we gotta say, you have a great photographer.

Kendall Jenner Straight-Up Booed Tristan Thompson at His Basketball Game


When things get tough, you can usually count on your friends and family to get you through. Such is the case for the Kardashian-Jenner family, who seem to have a formal pact to always have each others’ backs when it comes to the drama in their lives—and, well, there tends to be a lot of it. In the wake of the Tristan Thompson-cheating situation, that’s never been truer, with Kim Kardashian calling out the father of Khloé‘s kids for not being sorry about cheating on Khloé while she was days away from giving birth.

And it looks like Kendall Jenner‘s taken up the fight, too: She was captured by a basketball fan at Friday night’s 76ers game against the Cleveland Cavaliers—her boyfriend plays on the former, and Thompson from the latter. This, needless to say, made the game a little more interesting.

A fan in the crowd managed to capture one moment on her phone: the classic moment Jenner starts booing Thompson at the free throw line.

And guess who noticed it? Khloé wrote her response to the video on Twitter with a good dose of humor. “Look at my baby heckler ?? I’m dying at Kenny trying to heckle on the low low! #ItDidntWork,” she wrote.

It’s safe to say she’s probably had a little bit of a stressful Thanksgiving this year, which she spent in Cleveland with Thompson and their daughter True. And we don’t mean cooking stress: Instead, social media followers were hounding her about why she didn’t spend dinner with her family back home and speculating about drama between her and her sisters.

She dealt an efficient clap back on Twitter late Friday night, reminding people that it a) wasn’t unusual for her to spend Thanksgiving in Cleveland and b) calling out users for trying to stir up drama.

“Y’all are reaching now. I’ve spent the past 3years in Cleveland for Thanksgiving,” she wrote. “Not sure why people are trying to create drama between my family and I. My sisters and I are perfectly fine thank you! All of their families were able to travel but TT being in season, he can not.”

Fair enough: We’re not in the relationship with those two—and the only people who can decide how they want to contextualize their relationship is Khloé and Tristan.

But still, Jenner booing him at the game? A classic reminder that sisters will always have your back.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' Engagement Party Looked Straight-Up Magical


After months of speculation (thanks in large part to a string of adorable photos and one closed-down Tiffany store rumor), Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas finally confirmed their engagement yesterday by sharing a string of sweet, intimate photos from their traditional roka ceremony on Instagram. In Hindu religious tradition, roka ceremonies are highly significant pre-wedding ceremonies signifying the first step in the wedding process. They take place in front of members of both families and are often followed by a big celebratory party. In Priyanka and Nick’s case, the big afterparty took place Saturday night in Mumbai, and according to photos and videos that guests shared on Instagram, it was a pretty magical celebration.

Taking to Instagram stories, Nick Jonas shared an adorable video from the dance floor, where the singer head-bops alongside Priyanka as she dances with her friend and fellow actress, Anusha Dandekar.

Jonas also shared two sweet photos from the party—one of the couple with his parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr, and another of his father and Chopra’s standing side by side.

Priyanka’s cousin, actress Parineeti Chopra, also shared an inside glimpse of the party, posting a string of photos with the newly-engaged couple to her Instagram. But what was perhaps even more intimate was a post the actress shared on Instagram alongside a sweet message that called Jonas “the perfect man” for her cousin.

“Today I witnessed magic and a fairytale…When we were kids, mimi didi and I used to play “ghar ghar”. We would pretend to be shy brides, have imaginary children, and serve tea to our husbands! ?? cheesy, but its because we always believed in the magic of love and hoped we would both find that perfect man for us one day!! Today there was no pretending. I cant think of a more a perfect man for her. Like I said this morning, there are two ways of judging a human being. One – travel with them, and two, eat with them. Nick, I have done both with you. And so I know you’re perfect for her!! Love her, because she loves you like mad! Protect her, because shes strong, but a soft soul inside. But these post-engagement party photos weren’t the only heartwarming images that surfaced on Instagram yesterday. After Nick and Priyanka officially confirmed their engagement, Nick’s mom Denise Jonas posted an adorably sweet message for the happy couple. “‘I have found the one whom my heart loves’ Song of Solomon 3:4 Congratulations @nickjonas @priyankachopra on your engagement. Welcome to the family!”

Nick’s dad, Kevin Jonas Sr., joined in, posting photos from the day with the caption: “What an amazing day of celebration for @nickjonas and @priyankachopra engagement and Indian culture.”

Priyanka’s future sister-in-law Sophie Turner also took to Instagram to congratulate the couple—posting a photo and adorable caption praising Jonas for his choice of bride-to-be. “Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I’m so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra. I love you both @nickjonas.”

In the end, if these gorgeous pics from the engagement festivities—and the loved-up vibes of the roka and party—are any indication, we’re betting the couple’s actual ceremony is going to be just as spectacular.

Now Chrissy Teigen Is Straight-Up Inviting Mommy-Shamers to Comment on Her Posts


Leave it to Chrissy Teigen to always be one step ahead. The model/cookbook author/influencer knows critics love to come for her on social media, so she’s started calling them out before they can even speak out. Take, for example, her latest vacation Instagram. Teigen posted a picture of herself holding her son, Miles, wrapped in a Balinese baby sling—and playfully invited any haters to chime in with their thoughts.

“Learned a little Balinese sling action,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. “Please feel free to get angry and judgmental in my comments below! I know you can’t wait!”

Luckily, Teigen didn’t have too much to worry about. The reaction in the post’s comments was overwhelmingly positive, with many talking about their experience using a similar sling. “I love this! I used to do this to my kids. It’s really good for the baby too. Btw I’m from Malaysia and have similar culture,” one Instagram user wrote. Another person chimed in and said, “I love the sling! Great idea for busy mom’s with older children to tend do. Your posts are always so real and authentic. Thanks for being so open.” Someone else noted how Teigen’s quick thinking put her one step ahead of her critics and commented, “You hit the haters before they hit you.”

And on Twitter, even more users had Teigen’s back.

This is obviously not the first time Teigen’s quips have made her the talk of social media. She’s never been afraid to get honest about motherhood and to call out anyone who accuses her of parenting “wrong.” When an Instagram user recently tried to shame her for a breastfeeding picture, Teigen replied, “Calm your tits and scroll on by.” In another photo, someone claimed Teigen’s son didn’t look too happy with the sun in his eyes. Teigen’s answer? “He told me he loves it.” We’re not keeping score, but we’re pretty sure she’s won Twitter and Instagram about a hundred times over by now.

'The Handmaid's Tale' Season Two Looks Straight-Up Horrifying


When Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale first premiered, in the shadow of Donald Trump’s election, the show felt unsettlingly prescient. For many it felt like a well-timed answer to an administration determined to police women’s bodies. But now, as the Time’s Up reckoning sweeps every industry and all corners of the world, The Handmaid’s Tale is no longer just a prestige television series; it’s absolutely necessary and important viewing, for everyone. If we don’t want our future to look like the Republic of Gilead—and I promise you, we do not—we must create change now.

The first look at season two, which premieres in April, might inspire you. Hulu just released three photos that offer a glimpse of what’s to come, and it’s…well, it’s scary. First up is this bloody nightmare vision of Offred, played by Elisabeth Moss.

Although these photos don’t give much away, Hulu said in a press release that season two will be shaped by Offred’s pregnancy and “her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead.” So, status quo. Beyond that, we don’t know too much—season one was adapted from Margaret Atwood’s novel, but season two will enter new territory. (Atwood, however, will serve as a consulting producer to give input on the story.)

There is one clue, though: Showrunner Bruce Miller told Entertainment Weekly that the series will at some point show a handmaid’s funeral, which you can see in the photo directly above. “Everything from the design of their costumes to the way they look is so chilling,” he says of the moment. “These scenes that are so beautiful, while set in such a terrible place, provide the kind of contrast that makes me happy.”
