Emma From ‘Friends’ Just Hilariously Responded to Chandler’s 2020 Joke

Let me take you back to an episode of season nine from Friends: The gang has gathered for Rachel and Ross’s daughter Emma’s first birthday, and decide to make a video that they’ll gift her when she turns 18. Naturally, Chandler makes a joke in said video. “Hi, Emma. It’s the year 2020,” he says. (The character Emma was born in 2002, making her 18 in 2020.) “Are you still enjoying your nap?”

Well, it’s officially 2020, and one of the women who played Emma, Noelle Sheldon, has responded to Chandler’s joke. “Just woke up from the best nap of all time, happy 2020!! (ft. my poorly done photoshop) Hope everyone has an excellent year full of family, friends, and laughter!!” she wrote on Instagram alongside a pic of herself photoshopped into Central Perk. So Chandler was right: Emma really did nap for 18 years straight. (I kid.)

Check out Sheldon’s post for yourself, below:

And if you need help remembering the reference, here’s the clip from Friends season nine:

Noelle Sheldon and her twin sister, Cali, both played Emma on Friends. They surged back into the spotlight last year when fans learned they played the creepy twins in Jordan Peele’s horror movie Us.

Friends, meanwhile, is officially off Netflix and won’t return to another streaming platform until May. That’s when HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service, will start serving as the home to the beloved sitcom.

“HBO Max will bring together the diverse riches of WarnerMedia to create programming and user experiences not seen before in a streaming platform,” WarnerMedia Entertainment and direct-to-consumer chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement last year. “HBO’s world-class programming leads the way, the quality of which will be the guiding principle for our new array of Max Originals, our exciting acquisitions, and the very best of the Warner Bros. libraries, starting with the phenomenon that is Friends.

The Lion King Cast Received Hilariously Strict Instructions for Meeting Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Everyone’s hearts skipped a beat earlier this week when Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z met at the London premiere of The Lion King. The foursome all looked so happy to be chatting: Beyoncé gave Markle a warm hug and reportedly called her “my princess,” and Prince Harry couldn’t stop smiling. To be a fly on the wall, am I right?

But underneath all these good vibes were some nerves from Beyoncé. In a new interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Billy Eichner (who plays Timon in The Lion King) says the whole cast was nervous meeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, including Queen B, who’s basically American royalty.

“It was great, and we were all kind of nervous, even Beyoncé,” Eichner revealed. And that’s not all the tea he spilled: Apparently, The Lion King cast was given some very strict instructions for greeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Per Eichner, “In the days leading up to it, they email you a protocol of how you’re supposed to greet Prince Harry and Meghan. They are very intense about it. I’m not kidding! You’re supposed to say, ‘Your royal highness.’ You can’t speak until your hands are, like, in a handshake with his. My plus-one—my guest I brought with me, my very good friend Jared—they said he had to stand behind me and not speak unless he was spoken to. I’m not kidding! I was like, ‘Does that same rule apply to Jay-Z?’ I have a feeling it doesn’t.”

It all worked out, though. Even though Eichner says he “completely freaked out,” Markle and Prince Harry were apparently “very, very nice and totally chill and down to earth and lovely.” That sounds about right, given Prince Harry’s reported annoyance with the stuffiness of royal culture. “Harry is a man who, as a young boy, resented being a prince, resented the weighted burden that came with his title,” royals expert Katie Nicholl told Glamour a few months back.

Emilia Clarke Hilariously Dressed Up as Jon Snow for Charity, and It's Perfection

Emilia Clarke is pretty serious in character as Game of Thrones‘ Daenerys Targaryen, but offscreen, she’s shown time and time again that she loves a good prank. On Friday, the star posted an Instagram video that involves her best one yet: She walked around Times Square trolling people and pretending to be co-star Kit Harington‘s character Jon Snow.

The whole thing was actually for a really great cause: Clarke is giving people a chance to watch the series finale with her in London. Fans who want a shot at the opportunity have to donate to her charity, SameYou, which is working to raise $1 million to study ways that young people can recover from brain injury and stroke. The issue is super-close to Clarke’s heart—she revealed in March that she almost left Game of Thrones after suffering two brain aneurysms.

Even though it’s an intense topic, Clarke approached it with a sense of humor. She announced the contest through an Instagram video, which shows her running around New York City doing her best King of the North impression (we’ll be honest, she’s actually really good at it). The people in the video aren’t too amused by her antics, which makes the clip even funnier. She approaches one woman, who deadpans, “I’m a Walking Dead fan.”

“Oh yeah, I am Kit Harington without the (any) abs. Maybe I’ll wear this outfit when I host your Game of Thrones finale party! Maybe I’ll let you wear the beard!!” she wrote on Instagram. “That’s right—you and three friends could come hang with me in London, take lots of fun photos, ask me all your burning GoT questions (yes I kept the dragons, no kit didn’t keep his hair) and enjoy a private screening of the final episode.”

Earlier this month, she had offered up another meet-and-greet with fans who donated to the Royal College of Nursing Foundation.

Although Harington, who plays Jon Snow, has been known to tease her on the show’s set, we have a feeling he’d bend the knee after watching this. Well done, Mother of Dragons.

The Hustle Trailer: Watch Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson Hilariously Scam Men

In The Hustle, two badass women are all it takes to scam men out of millions (if not billions) of dollars.

Thanks to Anna Delvey, who notoriously grifted her way through SoHo (and ended up inspiring not one but two competing TV shows about her con) and the entire Fyre Festival fiasco, the word “scammer” has been on the tip of everyone’s tongues for at least two years now. Of course, Hollywood has followed suit and made a blockbuster for our times with The Hustle.

In this adaptation of Frank Oz’s 1988 film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which starred Steve Martin and Michael Caine, it appears that Rebel Wilson has met her match in Anne Hathaway. Hathaway plays a seasoned scammer who teaches Wilson “her sugar baby ways,” which include performative vulnerability, knife-throwing skills, and blending in with one’s surroundings. This is all so they can work together to swindle a young tech dynamo (played by Alex Sharp) out of his millions (or possibly billions, as Wilson points out). Why shake down so many rich men out of jewels and money, you ask? The answer is simple: because they can. Do you need a better reason than that?

“Why are women better suited for the con than men?” Hathaway asks in the movie. “Because no man will ever believe a woman is smarter than he is.”

Hathaway is no-doubt bringing her Ocean’s 8–honed heist chops to The Hustle (she was the best part of that movie, and I won’t be challenged), while Wilson delivers the riotous physical comedy she’s known for in movies like Pitch Perfect and the recently-released romantic comedy Isn’t It Romantic.

Check out the full trailer for The Hustle, below:

It looks like scammer season has just been extended to May 10, 2019, which is when The Hustle hits theaters nationwide.

Ariana Grande Hilariously Trolled Kim Kardashian and North West for Their Very Familiar-Looking Ponytails

It looks like Kim Kardashian and her daughter, North West, are borrowing some hair inspo from Ariana Grande—and the singer has noticed.

The mother-daughter pair stepped out on Saturday night wearing the same matching high ponytails that have become a part of Grande’s signature look. Stylist Chris Appleton—who works with both Kardashian and Grande—posted a series of photos of Kim and North to Instagram with captions like “90s pony Vibes ???” and “This look was lit.”

North paired her version of the pony with hair rings—not dissimilar to ones Grande’s worn in the past—while Kim enhanced her look with burgundy eyeshadow.

Grande apparently saw her stylist’s pics and cheekily commented on one of the shots, “I thought both of them were me.”

Speaking of, the singer has recently been experimenting with different hairstyles: In the course of the past few months, she’s shown off a low ponytail, a lavender dye job, and flowing blond hair. Eventually, however, she returned her hair to its rightful position on top of her head.

“my god going back to a high pony after a few days of not wearing a high pony is …….. a remarkable feeling,” she wrote on Twitter at the time. “i’m just ……. supposed to have a high pony u kno ? some things are just meant to be and this is jus one of those things.”

When a fan asked if her sky-high ponies ever hurt her head (because ponytail headaches are a thing, people!), she replied, “nah I can’t feel anymore the nerves in my head said fuck u a good year or two ago we’re good,” then followed up by saying, “ugh she’s up and she’s divine.”

The style was just as “divine” atop Kim and North’s heads. Now, can we get a selfie of all three high-pony queens, or what?

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Just Got Hilariously Trolled by Their 'Riverdale' Costars

Just a few short days ago, Riverdale‘s Cole Sprouse added more fuel to the are-they-or-aren’t-they dating fire when he posted an artistically topless Instagram photo of co-star and rumored girlfriend Lili Reinhart to his account in celebration of her birthday. “Both the birthday and the gift. My little muse, happy birthday my love,” he wrote in the caption. Reinhart seemed like she loved the picture—she dropped a heart emoji into the comments.

Although the photo was stunning, it also opened the rumored couple up to some pretty hilarious trolling by their friends and Riverdale costars.

On Friday, costar Casey Cott, who plays Kevin Keller, posted his own take on Sprouse’s birthday present—only this time it starred KJ Apa. Cott and Apa even used the same caption as Sprouse, writing, “Both the birthday and my gift. My little muse, have a good day my love.”

Thankfully, Reinhart found the entire thing to be hilarious, writing in a comment on Cott’s post, “Show me those nips.” (Apa also threw in a heart in the comments.)

Of course, she’d likely have to find this funny when you consider just how much her castmates love to poke fun at her and Sprouse on Instagram. In August, their other Riverdale pal Camila Mendes essentially confirmed their relationship by commenting on a meme saying “when you third wheel so much you basically become part of the relationship,” which was posted by the aggregated account, @MyTherapistSays. In the comments, Mendes said, ” @lilireinhart @colesprouse we’re such a cute couple.”

Though these coded messages could mean they are together, we might never know for sure: Reinhart has made it pretty clear in the past that her business isn’t open to everyone’s opinions.

“It’s horrifying how invested some people are in my love life. Emphasis on ‘my.’ It is mine. It is private,” she wrote on Tumblr. “If a stranger’s love life is causing you anger, frustration or anxiety…please reevaluate your priorities.”

As long as the cast keeps the Instagram hilarity going, Sprouse and Reinhart keeping their relationship status private is OK with us.
