Peter Weber Fired Back At Critics Who Trolled Him and Kelley Flanagan—Then Deleted His Comments

Former Bachelor Peter Weber has been supplying tons of quarantine content lately. After keeping his fans amused with singalongs on his Instagram stories, he started sharing a few videos that offer a glimpse into his lockdown situation with Kelley Flanagan—who he’s been quarantining with in Chicago.

On April 18, Weber shared a new TikTok video where he climbs onto Flanagan’s shoulders (it’s actually pretty impressive), but some people who are hyper-aware of Weber and Flanagan’s past had thoughts. Basically, they started trolling the pilot in the comments, reminding him that he’d kicked Kelley off of his season and chose Hannah Ann (and eventually Madison Prewett, who he only dated for approximately two days.

However, Weber was not about to let the critics get to him. He went through the comments and responded cheekily to a lot of them and tried to make light of the whole situation, according to Cosmopolitan. For example (because there were a bunch), when a social media user teased, “Kelley sweetie blink twice if ur ok,” Weber hit back with the wide-eyed emoji. “Kelly = CEO of being the last possible option,” another user wrote.

To that, Weber responded, “Ok, it’s not like I sent her home the night one…”

However, it seems he changed his mind about feeding the trolls and decided to delete his comments. He didn’t reveal why, but this is what the same TikTok comments section looked like just a day later:

His initial responses might be a hint that Weber and Flanagan are getting serious, but speaking to Nick Viall on the podcast The Viall Files, he insisted they’re still not putting a label on things.

“Are we dating? No. Do I love spending time with her? Absolutely,” he said. “We’re not dating. Could I see that in the future? Yeah, of course. I’d be extremely lucky and very happy if that happened. I’m the last person that needs to rush into any kind of relationship. I just had an engagement that didn’t work out. I just was trying to pursue things with another woman that didn’t work out. That’s why right now. I’m just taking it really, really slow.”

Keep an eye on his TikTok account for updates…and magic tricks.

Ryan Reynolds Trolled That Conversational Peloton Ad and the Internet Has Thoughts

Ryan Reynolds loves a good Internet troll—just ask his wife Blake Lively—so it should probably come as no surprise that he wasted no time weighing in on that controversial Peloton ad that took over social media last week. In a new commercial for his Aviation American Gin brand, Reynolds recruited the wide-eyed Peloton wife (actress Monica Ruiz) and gave her a script that implies she finally escaped her exercise bike, and perhaps, the husband who gave it to her.

Just to quickly recap: The Peloton ad—which shows a woman receiving a Peloton bike from her husband for Christmas, then tracking her progress over the year by vlogging her rides—touched a nerve with millions of people. Critics called it everything from “sexist” to “body shaming,” while others joked that the woman’s eyes were practically screaming “Get me out of here!” It seems like Reynolds took the latter idea and ran with it, because his ad involves the woman sitting at a bar, looking completely dazed and exhausted, while having a drink with her friends. “This gin is really smooth,” is all she says before her pals chime in with, “We can get you another one, if you’d like” and “You’re safe here.” (Fun fact: One of the friends is Mercedes from cycle two of America’s Next Top Model.)

The whole thing is subtle and the only obvious dig on the ad is when one of the woman’s friends says off-camera, “You look great, by the way!” But Reynolds did make sure we got the joke on his Instagram, where he posted the ad with the caption, “Exercise bike not included.”

For the most part, people laughed about Reynolds extending the Peloton wife saga.

The Peloton Wife actress also shared a message that shows the whole thing was meant in tongue-in-cheek—and that she was ready to brush off the controversy over the original commercial. “So much fun with these girls. Let’s make light of this!! Cheers!!” she wrote.

Ruiz also gave a statement to CNN saying that despite the backlash to the Peloton ad, she’s glad she got the gig. “I was happy to accept a job opportunity earlier this year from Peloton and the team was lovely to work with,” she said. “Although I’m an actress, I am not quite comfortable being in spotlight and I’m terrible on social media. So to say I was shocked and overwhelmed by the attention this week (especially the negative) is an understatement.” That said, getting the call from Reynolds certainly helped. “When Ryan and his production team called about Aviation Gin, they helped me find some humor in the situation,” she said.

But really, who wouldn’t want a call from him? No offense, Blake.

Sophie Turner Just Trolled All the Influencers Promoting Weight-Loss Products

Sophie Turner is not here for influencers who want to promote harmful weight-loss products on social media. On Tuesday the Game of Thrones actor made a video eviscerating all the influencers out there using their platforms to post harmful weight loss “#ads.”

“Hey guys, just kind of going for my influencer look today,” Turner says in the clip with an L.A.-girl cadence. “Today I just wanted to promote this new powder stuff that you put in your tea. Basically, it makes you sh-t your brains out. It’s totally really, really bad for me to be promoting to young women and young people everywhere, but I don’t really give a f-ck because I’m getting paid money for it. Influencer life.” Where is her Emmy for this?

Sophie Turner isn’t the first celebrity to take issue with weight-loss spon-con. Jameela Jamil has voiced her concern several times, particularly taking aim at the Kardashians, who notoriously post #ads for brands like Flat Tummy Tea. “I don’t hate [the Kardashians],” Jamil told Glamour in September. “I just want them to stop selling laxatives, and then I will get off that dick. That’s all I’m trying to do. I’m not trying to attack anyone. But if you have a lot of power and influence and money, and you’re using yours irresponsibly, and other people aren’t aware that they’re being sold a lie, I’m gonna step on that dick.”

Instagram, thankfully, has taken measures to shield these potentially harmful weight-loss ads. The platform enacted some new, important policies in September. Under the new rules, users under 18 won’t be able to see posts promoting weight loss or cosmetic procedures with incentive to purchase product. Also, IG has nixed posts that make “miraculous claims” about a product. So if an influencer posts that they lost 10 pounds in three days just by drinking a tea, it will get flagged. Cheers to that.

Ryan Reynolds Just Trolled Blake Lively With Unflattering Photos for Her Birthday

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are known for their delightful mutual trolling on social media, with nary a birthday or anniversary between them going unnoticed without a little good-natured fun flung one direction or the other. It’s been a while, however, since we had a good birthday trolling: On Reynolds’ big day last year, Lively used the occasion to encourage followers to go vote in the midterm elections instead. So suffice it to say we were pretty excited when we realized that today, Sunday, August 24, was Lively’s 32nd birthday. And yes, Reynolds had delivered.

The Deadpool star commemorated his wife’s birthday by posting a series of unflattering photos to her on his ‘gram. We’re talking half-closed eyes, motion blurs, unfocused pics, and half-out-of-frame shots. (The kind of photos everyone takes!) The pictures are, apparently, worth 10,000 words, because Reynolds only used three in his caption: “Happy Birthday, @blakelively.”

Deadpool‘s creator, Rob Liefeld, said what we were all thinking: “There are no bad pictures of @blakelively and happy ???,” he commented. Gigi Hadid also offered her birthday greetings with a “‼️❤️‼️”

Reynolds also shared recently what the greatest present Lively had ever given him was: an Easter egg-packed, semi-biographical painting of a young boy delivering newspapers (Reynolds’ own first job).

We’re sure Reynolds has something equally as special in store for Lively’s birthday—but it seems like other celebrities are getting in on this unflattering-pic trolling game too. Karl Cook, husband of Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco, posted a pic of Cuoco to mark their anniversary on Saturday.

Of Course Chrissy Teigen Trolled John Legend for His Super Bowl Commercial

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen both appeared in a new Pampers commercial that debuted during Sunday night’s Super Bowl. The cute spot features Legend singing to his son, Miles, as he changes a dirty diaper. He’s then joined by a legion of singing dads—including Adam Levine—before Teigen comes in at the end and asks if they have to put on a full concert just to change some diapers. Legend has an EGOT, so I believe the answer to that question is yes.

It didn’t take long for Teigen to troll Legend over this commercial. I mean, come on: He’s singing about diapers. Of course Teigen had to jump in with a little playful jabbing. The Cravings author posted two Instagram Story slides on Sunday that, at first, seemed to be just an homage to Legend’s Pampers song. She’s full-on singing the jingle and changing what appears to be Miles’ diaper. However, in the final slide, we see it’s a plastic baby doll Teigen is singing to, not her 8-month-old son.

“I can do this,” Teigen says at the end with a joking smile. You can watch the full spoof on Teigen’s Instagram page, but here are a few photos:

It’s very funny when you compare it to Legend’s actual Super Bowl commercial:

Chrissy Teigen has a long history of trolling John Legend. She’s acutely aware the world thinks he looks like Arthur and finds it hilarious:

She’s also very quick to remind everyone he didn’t win an Oscar in 2017:

And she throws shade at him like this:

But it’s all done with love, obviously. “My incredible man. What a surreal life,” she wrote on Instagram in September after Legend won an Emmy Award, thus completing his EGOT. “Thank you Johnny, for a love I could have never imagined,” she later posted in November after his tribute to her at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards. Behold, the perfect balance of romance and roasting.

'SNL' Just Trolled All Your Favorite Netflix Shows

Ah, December: a time for spiked eggnog, cheesy Hallmark movie marathons, and avoiding relatives’ highly invasive questions about when you’re planning to start a family. But perhaps the most rewarding part of the winter month? SNL turning out some of its best content—and last night (December 1) was no exception.

Hosted by Claire Foy, the sketch comedy show spared no expense for anyone, with Alec Baldwin reprising his role as a disgruntled President Trump and the cast hilariously spoofing the grandparents from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. But it was the hilarious trolling of Netflix’s 2019 lineup—the home of Foy’s own hit series The Crown—that made us laugh.

At the top of the episode, Foy appears in a commercial parody poking fun at the sheer magnitude of available content for streaming on Netflix. As a male voiceover explains, “We’re spending billions of dollars and making every show in the world. How do we do it? We buy everything!”

“It’ll take 12 human lifetimes to watch all of our content!” the narration adds (truth).

The skit involves several of the cast members sitting around a conference table and pitching potential ideas for the streaming service. “This show is about a girl named Ginny,” cast member Heidi Gardner’s character says, prompting a Netflix executive to immediately throw money at her.

“We loved Claire Foy so much, we’re sending her back to high school,” explains the voiceover. “It’s Saved By The Crown!”

“…We’ve also got that comedy, like Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, or Leslie Jones in a Van Getting Batteries!” the voiceover continues.

On top of trolling Netflix, SNL also poked fun at major cable network shows, like HSN and MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
