Matthew Perry’s ‘Friends’ Costars Had the Best Reactions to His Joining Instagram

Update 2/9/20:

Matthew Perry joined Instagram to much fanfare, especially from his Friends castmates including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and onscreen wife, Courteney Cox. But he made us all wait to see what his first post would actually be.

Of course, it was very Chandler Bing, using a GIF from the show where he dances around excitedly. “This is how thrilled I am to finally be on Instagram. So, here we go…” he wrote in the caption.

His second post also had that pitch-perfect Chandler sarcastic charm.

We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

Original story:

We never thought we’d see the day, but Chandler Bing is on Instagram at long last. Well, actually, the actor who played him is. Matthew Perry became the final cast member from Friends to hop onto the social media platform.

Lisa Kudrow made the announcement for him with a sweet throwback photo of the two of them—and a great reference to the show. “Finally!!! Yay!! Can’t believe my eyes MY EYES. Welcome to Instagram @mattyperry4 #friendsforlife,” she wrote in the caption. Perry already has more than 2 million followers—and he hasn’t even made a single post yet.

Emma Watson and Tom Felton Just Reunited With Their ‘Harry Potter’ Costars

Holiday parties are usually a good excuse to get all of your friends together, and it seems the Harry Potter cast used the season’s festivities for a little Hogwarts reunion. On Wednesday, December 18, Tom Felton (known to HP fans as Draco Malfoy) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) posted photos on Instagram that showed a few members of the old crew from the beloved film franchise had joined forces for a party—and even reignited old arguments about which house is better.

In the photos Felton poses with Watson, Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), and Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom). He hinted in the caption that there had definitely been some discussion about past rivalries at Hogwarts: “Seasons greetings from my school mates. @mattdavelewis & I mid debate x #gryfindorVSslytherin,” he joked in the post.

Watson added her own little tribute on Instagram, but she was much more diplomatic. She posted one of Felton’s photos in black-and-white and wrote simply, “Merry Christmas from us,” adding a smiley face. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) aren’t in any of the images, but we’re guessing they were with the cast in spirit.

In addition to just being really sweet, the photos have continued fueling some of those Watson-Felton dating rumors. Fans have been begging the two former costars to date after they were spotted hanging out a few times and posting on each other’s social media accounts. Most recently Felton shared an image taken while he was teaching Watson to play guitar and raved that she was a “quick learner.”

The two of them spending part of the holiday together is an interesting development, to be sure, but then again, these friends have known each other since they were kids—maybe they were just feeling nostalgic about their Hogwarts days.

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Just Got Hilariously Trolled by Their 'Riverdale' Costars

Just a few short days ago, Riverdale‘s Cole Sprouse added more fuel to the are-they-or-aren’t-they dating fire when he posted an artistically topless Instagram photo of co-star and rumored girlfriend Lili Reinhart to his account in celebration of her birthday. “Both the birthday and the gift. My little muse, happy birthday my love,” he wrote in the caption. Reinhart seemed like she loved the picture—she dropped a heart emoji into the comments.

Although the photo was stunning, it also opened the rumored couple up to some pretty hilarious trolling by their friends and Riverdale costars.

On Friday, costar Casey Cott, who plays Kevin Keller, posted his own take on Sprouse’s birthday present—only this time it starred KJ Apa. Cott and Apa even used the same caption as Sprouse, writing, “Both the birthday and my gift. My little muse, have a good day my love.”

Thankfully, Reinhart found the entire thing to be hilarious, writing in a comment on Cott’s post, “Show me those nips.” (Apa also threw in a heart in the comments.)

Of course, she’d likely have to find this funny when you consider just how much her castmates love to poke fun at her and Sprouse on Instagram. In August, their other Riverdale pal Camila Mendes essentially confirmed their relationship by commenting on a meme saying “when you third wheel so much you basically become part of the relationship,” which was posted by the aggregated account, @MyTherapistSays. In the comments, Mendes said, ” @lilireinhart @colesprouse we’re such a cute couple.”

Though these coded messages could mean they are together, we might never know for sure: Reinhart has made it pretty clear in the past that her business isn’t open to everyone’s opinions.

“It’s horrifying how invested some people are in my love life. Emphasis on ‘my.’ It is mine. It is private,” she wrote on Tumblr. “If a stranger’s love life is causing you anger, frustration or anxiety…please reevaluate your priorities.”

As long as the cast keeps the Instagram hilarity going, Sprouse and Reinhart keeping their relationship status private is OK with us.

Kim Cattrall Says She Was 'Never Friends' With Her 'Sex and the City' Costars

Sex and the City fans are still coping from the news that a third movie isn’t happening (despite a supposedly phenomenal script existing). The reason why they aren’t moving forward is unclear, but several stories pointed to Kim Cattrall. However, the actress, who played Samantha Jones for six glorious seasons, shot down reports that her “demands” are what ultimately killed the project. She appeared on Piers Morgan’s ITV series Life Stories and said she’s never expressed interest in doing a third film; her answer, when producers came calling, was always a “respectful but firm ‘no.'” It has nothing to do with money or screen time or her relationships with the other women; she just wants to move on from the role.

But this isn’t stopping tabloids and social media from pitting Cattrall against Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon. Rumors of tension between Cattrall and her costars have existed for years, but both she and Parker have dismissed them. Of course, Cattrall didn’t really help her case when she told Morgan that Parker “could’ve been nicer” about the whole SATC 3 drama. It’s a harmless comment, but the media took it out of context and made it seem like Cattrall hated her onscreen BFF.

And they’ll probably do the same with Cattrall’s most recent comment about Parker, Nixon, and Davis. In her interview with Morgan, Cattrall says she was “never friends” with the other gals in the Sex and the City quartet.

“We’ve never been friends. We’ve been colleagues, and in some ways it’s a very healthy place to be because then you have a clear line between your professional life and relationship and your personal,” Cattrall told Morgan, according to the New York Daily News.

Contrary to what you’ll probably read elsewhere, this comment isn’t mean, instigating, or rude. Cattrall is simply like the millions of people who are professional and congenial to their coworkers, but that’s it. There’s nothing wrong or cruel about that. In fact, this can actually be a good thing; like Cattrall said, it helps keep your professional and personal lives separate. Don’t read too much into this.

That being said, these SATC 3 stories are just a sad reminder that the last memory we’ll have of this series is Miranda saying “Abu-Dhabi-doo.”
