Shay Mitchell Just Revealed She's About Six Months Pregnant

Surprise: Shay Mitchell is pregnant.

On Friday, June 28, the Pretty Little Liars actress revealed on Instagram that she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Matte Babel, having kept it a secret from the public eye for at least six months “Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?” she wrote in the caption of a photo of herself with her baby bump.

But the reveal didn’t stop there—Mitchell also posted a YouTube video about the news titled “Guess Who’s Preggers.”

“There is something in the oven and it’s not my pizza!!!” the 32-year-old wrote in the video description. “WOW… It’s kind of surreal processing the fact that another human is growing inside of you. It’s exciting, nerve-racking, difficult and emotional all at the same time.”

She continued, “Everyone waits for the right time to make the announcement and for me it wasn’t until I couldn’t hide it anymore and was tired of wearing over sized sweatshirts. We’re beyond excited and looking forward to starting a family. I’ve learned so much about myself and parenthood over the past 6 months, and feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface! It’s going to be a wild ride!!”

In the video, Mitchell gives a behind-the-scenes look at how and why she kept her pregnancy quiet. “When you’re in the public eye there are some things you want to just keep a secret until you feel ready,” she explained. “This, for me, has been the hardest.”

Earlier this year, Mitchell opened up about the miscarriage she had in 2018. “We all have to deal with various struggles and challenges in life,” she wrote on Instagram Story at the time. “And sometimes it’s easier to only showcase the good times on social media, which is what leads many people to criticize it for its lack of authenticity. Having so many people follow me on Instagram and read my posts is both incredibly humbling and hugely uplifting. The support and affection that so many of you show me lifts me up during even my darkest days, one of which happened last year after I miscarried and lost the child of my hopes and dreams.”

In her YouTube video, Mitchell teased that she’ll give a full look at her pregnancy journey in a new series called Almost Ready, which premieres July 17.

“It didn’t feel right to just put up a photo and be like, ‘I’m pregnant!’ and have people just think that everything’s been peaches and rainbows,” she said in the video. “This is real life and I want people to come along with me on this journey in real time.”

Congrats to Mitchell—we can’t wait to follow along with her new series.

Taylor Swift Just Revealed Which Celebs Are Making a Cameo in Her 'You Need to Calm Down' Music Video

Taylor Swift‘s gearing up to drop the music video for her new song “You Need to Calm Down” on Good Morning America on Monday (June 17)—and in true Swift fashion, she’s given us a little clue about what to expect. In uncharacteristic Swift fashion, however, she didn’t make us do any detective work: Instead, she decided on Sunday (June 16) to straight-up announce some of the A-list celebrities making an appearance in the video.

The singer shared the star-studded list of cameos on her social media accounts, which includes some very recognizable actors, singers, athletes, and YouTubers. In keeping with the anti-hate, pro-LGBTQ+ theme of “You Need to Calm Down,” many of the celebrities appearing in the video are proud members of the LGBTQ+ community.

“Asked a few friends to be in the You Need to Calm Down video. Out tomorrow at 8:15 am ET,” she coyly wrote alongside the teaser clip.

Here’s everyone who’s making an appearance:

  • Ellen DeGeneres
  • Ryan Reynolds
  • Hayley Kiyoko
  • Jesse Tyler Ferguson
  • Justin Mikita
  • All of the Queer Eye guys
  • Laverne Cox
  • Dexter Mayfield
  • Ciara
  • RuPaul
  • Billy Porter
  • Adam Lambert
  • Adam Rippon
  • Todrick Hall
  • Chester Lockhart
  • Hannah Hart

It’s quite the list. However, there’s no mention of Katy Perry or some of Swift’s other high-profile friends on the list—yet: The 29-year-old also shared that more of her famous friends will be featured.

One thing we know for sure though: Perry and Swift will definitely not be sharing a kiss in the video, despite all those internet theories. Swift debunked any and all speculation on Tumblr, confirming there is no truth to the rumors that she would never “bait” her fans that way.

“GUYS. That is ABSOLUTELY false. To be an ally is to understand the difference between advocating and baiting,” she wrote. “Anyone trying to twist this positivity into something it isn’t needs to calm down. It costs zero dollars to not step on our gowns. ?✌️”

Kim Kardashian Just Revealed the First Pic of Psalm, and of Course He’s Adorable

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child, a son named Psalm, via surrogate on Friday, May 10. The beauty mogul has kept mum about the latest addition to her family since then, but she broke her silence on Monday, June 10, posting a photo of baby Psalm to Instagram.

“Psalm Ye,” she captioned the pic, which shows the little guy sleeping in an adorable white onesie. So this means, presumably, that Psalm’s middle name is “Ye,” a.k.a the nickname of his famous rapper father.

Check out the cute snap for yourself, below:

Kardashian previously posted a photo of Psalm sleeping in his crib, but she deleted it after critics pointed out that it’s unsafe to put so many soft items in a newborn’s sleeping area. (According to Today, Psalm’s crib in the photo was adorned with padded bumpers and blankets, among other loose items.)

Psalm is the second child Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have welcomed via surrogate. Kardashian turned to this option after she developed a condition called placenta accreta following the birth of her son, Saint. (For those who don’t know, placenta accreta happens when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall.)

“My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails,” Kardashian wrote in her blog about the condition. “My mom was crying; she had never seen anything like this before. My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that—it was the most painful experience of my life! They gave me a second epidural but we were racing against time, so I just had to deal.”

She’s also opened up about her decision to use surrogate, knocking critics who say it’s the easier alternative to naturally conceiving. “Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong,” she told Entertainment Tonight.”I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control.”

People Think Prince William Just Revealed His Adorable Nickname for Princess Charlotte

Royals, they’re just like us—well, at least when it comes to calling their children adorable nicknames.

We already know that Prince George goes by many monikers, including Archie (which, of course, is also the name of his new cousin, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor). And it seems that his little sister, Princess Charlotte, has also been given some sweet nicknames by her parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William. During the royal couple’s trip to Northern Ireland earlier this year, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed that she calls her daughter, “Lottie.”

Now, a new video has royal fans thinking they’ve discovered William’s term of endearment for Charlotte.

As part of the reveal of Middleton’s “Back to Nature” garden at the famed Chelsea Flower Show, the Cambridges released some incredibly cute videos of the kids, including a very much on-the-move Prince Louis, frolicking in the space. After asking Prince George how he would rate his mom’s creation—she scored a twenty out of ten—the Duke of Cambridge asks his daughter for a push on the rope swing. And if you listen closely, it sounds like he refers to Charlotte as “mignonette.”

Check it out for yourself below:

According to Merriam-Webster, “mignonette” is used to describe either an herb or a sauce made with pepper and herbs typically served with oysters. That’s an interesting choice of nickname for a child, unless Charlotte is a big fan of oysters (which, honestly, seems entirely possible). But take this into account: According to Babynames.com, the French origin of the word means “favorite” or “darling.” My guess is that’s what William means when he calls her “mignonette.”

It’s a fitting nickname for Charlotte considering she is a princess—fans of The Princess Diaries might recall the full name of Anne Hathaway’s character, Mia, includes the moniker: Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo.

There is some online debate, however, as to whether that’s actually what William says. Some think he calls Charlotte over by simply asking, “Have you been on here yet?” in reference to the swing. That might be true, but it’s way less adorable.

Either way, the video is worth it just to see Prince William on a rope swing.

Game of Thrones Secretly Revealed Who Won the Iron Throne in This Season 1 Poster

Warning: Game of Thrones spoilers ahead.

Game of Thrones fans are still reeling from the revelation that Bran Stark was the one who ended up on the Iron Throne in the series finale. Well, not the Iron Throne exactly: The physical seat was actually melted by Drogon, but Bran was anointed head of the six kingdoms. (The North became its own territory that Queen Sansa Stark now rules.) This is the answer we’ve been waiting years for—and fan reactions are divided, to say the least.

But what happened shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. For one, women on Game of Thrones never properly get their due. (Yes, Sansa is queen of the North but she deserves to rule over everything, damn it!) Also, HBO low-key revealed the Bran Stark-Iron Throne twist in a season one poster. Yup.

Take a close look at the throwback image of Ned Stark, below. He’s sitting on the Iron Throne and to his right is what looks like a raven. Bran, as we all know, became the Three-Eyed Raven on Game of Thrones, and he’s also Ned’s son. So was this image a hint that he would ultimately take the Iron Throne?

Twitter user @thommybell certainly thinks so. He pointed out this connection on Monday, May 20 and has since racked up hundreds of likes. “Anyone else just notice the raven on Ned’s right from the season one poster,” he tweeted. “Raven + Ned Stark on the Iron Throne = Bran Stark. It was in front of us THE WHOLE TIME.”

Of course, it’s possible this is just a coincidence—or maybe Ned is seated next to a crow in the photo, not a raven. (One user who replied to @thommybell’s tweet pointed that out.) It’s certainly an interesting theory, though. I absolutely wouldn’t put it past Team Game of Thrones to hide the answer to its biggest mystery in plain sight.

If you are feeling some type of way about the Game of Thrones series finale, you won’t find much sympathy from its stars. Sophie Turner recently slammed the petition fans started to redo season eight. “I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season,” she told the New York Times. “Like 50-something night shoots. So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful.”

Meanwhile, Kit Harington told Esquire in April, “Whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their [negative] judgement on it, in my head they can go f–k themselves. ‘Cause I know how much work was put into this. I know how much people cared about this.”

Kim Kardashian Just Revealed the Name of Her Fourth Child—And It's Adorable

On May 10, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child, via surrogate. Upon his arrival Kardashian tweeted, “He’s here and he’s perfect.” Now, a week later, Kardashian West has revealed the name of her new son: Psalm West.

In true Kardashian style, the reality star shared her baby’s name on Instagram. Kardashian West posted a screenshot of a text from her husband that read, “Beautiful Mother’s Day. With the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need.” The photo was simply captioned, “Psalm West.”

The West’s are known for their unique baby names (along with the rest of the Kardashian clan.) But the name Psalm is in keeping with the biblical theme they drew from to name their older son, Saint West, 3. Psalm also joins his older sisters. North West, 5, and Chicago West, 1, whose names both come from a more geographic origin. And while fans were here for baby West’s name, many took to Twitter to express their confusion over how to properly pronounce it.

According to People the West’s long had a name in mind for their son, “but wanted to meet the baby before they decided.” Kardashian West also told Jimmy Kimmel, “I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel like it really connects with the baby.”

And while Psalm might have the name most similar to Saint, Kardashian West has made it very clear that he’s the most like his sister Chicago. She called Psalm, “Chicago’s twin.” “I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her,” she wrote. But from what we can tell of Kardashian West’s photos, Psalm looks like a happy and healthy newborn.

Congratulations to the Kardashian West clan. Bible, we think this is your cutest baby name yet.
