'The Handmaid's Tale' Is Officially Coming Back For a Third Season

Praise be: The Handmaid’s Tale is returning for a third season.

Hulu broke this news at its Upfronts presentation in New York City on Wednesday (May 2). Not much information about the third chapter is known at this time. After all, season two just premiered last week—to a monster audience, according to The Hollywood Reporter—and much of that is still shrouded in secrecy. Because Margaret Atwood only wrote one Handmaid’s Tale book, what’s going to happen in season two is still a mystery—which makes season three’s plot even more of a question mark.

Regardless of what happens, though, this is exciting news. The Handmaid’s Tale is one of the most poignant shows on television right now. It features an A-list crop of actors—including Elisabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, and, this season, Marisa Tomei—and narratives that particularly resonate in our current political climate. What The Handmaid’s Tale says about how our culture treats women is something everyone needs to see. It’s necessary viewing.

We’re only two episodes into The Handmaid’s Tale season two at this point. June/Offred (Moss) has—spoiler alert—escaped from Gilead and is hiding out in the abandoned Boston Globe office. She’s still expecting a baby with Nick, a former Gilead Eye, and their relationship’s been nothing short of passionate—both in good and bad ways. Meanwhile, Emily (Bledel) is imprisoned in the Colonies and serving as a makeshift doctor to the sick women there. Interspersed with these present-day narratives are iteresting flashbacks that offer more detail about how America became Gilead. The scene where a doctor questions June about her parenting “fitness” because she let her daughter go to school with a fever is very eerie to watch.

New episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale premiere every Wednesday on Hulu.

Prince William Is Officially Going to Be Prince Harry's Best Man in the Royal Wedding

In news that isn’t surprising but still exciting, Kensington Palace announced Thursday (April 26) that Prince Harry has asked Prince William to be the Best Man in his wedding to Meghan Markle next month.

To celebrate the news, the Palace shared some tender photos of the brothers bonding. The latest is from when they attended the Stars Wars premiere a few months back, and the earliest is of the two of them as boys wearing police hats and ties. Child Prince Harry is standing cutely with his hands on his hips, as if he’s thinking, “Yup, in 30 years, I’m going to marry an actress from a USA network TV show, and the world’s ‘gonna be shook.” Check out Kensington Palace’s Instagram announcement for yourself, below:

And the same message was posted on Twitter, too, so their brotherly love could exist on as many platforms as possible.

Like we said, this news isn’t exactly shocking. Prince William and Prince Harry are similar in age, and they’re very close with each other. Prince Harry was also Best Man in Prince William’s wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011, so it’s only fitting he return the favor.

The question that remains now, though, is who will be Meghan Markle’s Maid of Honor. Will it be her mother? Priyanka Chopra? One of the Spice Girls? Please let it be one of the Spice Girls.

While we wait on that information, here’s a quick stream of cute Will-and-Harry moments that make this Best Man news even sweeter.

A photo from earlier this week where Prince Harry’s clearly asking, “For my bachelor party, can we have a Suits marathon?” And Prince William’s like, “IDK, maybe.”

And last but not least, a photo of them as teenagers to prove everyone—even the royals—had an awkward phase.

‘Suits’ Is Officially Moving On Without Meghan Markle

When Meghan Markle announced her engagement to Prince Harry in November, many wondered if this meant the end for her hit television show, Suits. After all, the soon-to-be duchess is now too busy with royal engagements, plans for a wedding the whole world will be watching, and a move to England to continue filming the series in Toronto. But fear not, fans of cable legal dramas: The show will go on, despite the fact that Markle and her costar Patrick J. Adams are leaving. Today the USA Network announced that the show will indeed be back on the air for its eighth season.

“After seven seasons, Suits remains one of USA Network’s most beloved and popular series,” Chris McCumber, president, entertainment networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, said in a statement. “While we’re excited for season eight, everyone at USA will deeply miss Patrick and Meghan, and are grateful for the talent and commitment they brought to Suits season after season. We wish each of them nothing but the very best.”

The onscreen couple will say goodbye in the two-hour season seven finale, which airs Wednesday, April 25. Needless to say, Adams and Markle will be missed by their former castmates and bosses. “Not only have they been outstanding in their roles as Mike and Rachel, they are also superb human beings who will always be beloved members of the Suits family, and we wish them well in their days to come,” Aaron Kursh, the show’s creator and executive producer, also said in a statement.

So what can people expect from the show next season, sans Markle and Adams? Basically, everything it’s become well-known for—including “shifting alliances and internal power plays, to secrets, betrayals and fiery relationships”—and, according to the network, there may be a new, darker adversarial character to come.

As for Adams and Markle, their plates will certainly still remain full. As Patrick told The Hollywood Reporter, he plans to spend time with his wife, Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario, and Markle, well, you know what she’s up to this spring. At least this way their characters can live happily ever after.

“It just so happens that the timing of how I was feeling and what was going on in Meghan’s life created an opportunity where there was no need to force some conflict or tear Mike and Rachel apart,” Adams said. “It allowed us to go onto whatever happens next for Mike and Rachel together.”

The 'Charmed' Reboot Is Officially Happening, and It's Getting a 'Feminist' Twist

It’s official: 2018 is the year of the witch. First, news broke the CW is making a Riverdale sister series about Sabrina the Teenage Witch. (That show is still happening, by the way; it’s just been moved to Netflix.) And now a reboot that was announced last year is officially, officially happening: Charmed. Yes, members of my coven, the show that essentially brought witches into the mainstream is coming back. And we finally have some details.

The logistics from last year’s vague report still hold up: The reboot is happening at the CW. According to Entertainment Weekly, the network has already put in a pilot order. Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, who have credits on Jane the Virgin, are writing the script, so get excited.

That’s not all we know, though. This reboot is also receiving a great—and necessary—feminist twist. Per EW, the CW describes this new incarnation as a “fierce, funny, feminist reboot.” “Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done,” the network’s official description reads.

Oh, and there’s one more detail that’ll really make fans happy: The reboot’s happening in the present-day—not the ’70s, as previously reported—which opens the opportunity for the Charmed OGs (Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, and Shannen Doherty) to make cameos. Milano and McGowan are both vocal feminist activists now, so they should especially consider dropping by Halliwell Manor again. Cast a spell, and maybe it’ll happen.

There’s no official premiere date for the Charmed reboot yet, but fingers crossed it happens sooner rather than later. It’s high time for a new generation to learn all about Prue, Piper, and Phoebe.

The Race to Photograph a Pregnant Kylie Jenner Is Officially Out of Control

Kylie Jenner, the youngest sibling of the Kardashian-Jenner family, has long been rumored to be pregnant with her boyfriend Travis Scott’s child. Unlike her sisters Kim and Khloé, however, Kylie has decided to keep her reported pregnancy under wraps, which is totally her choice. However, it appears that some around her are less than respectful of her decision to experience her reported pregnancy in private—and her last account is actually shocking.

On this Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kylie called her mother, Kris Jenner, to inform her that she caught one of her employees red-handed as they attempted to take a photograph of her—as Kylie was just chilling at her kitchen table. Translation: It’s getting to the point where Kylie can’t even find safety, security, and privacy inside her own home.

“I really feel bad for Kylie because there’s always somebody that’s trying to exploit a certain situation,” Kris said on the show, adding that both she and Kylie contemplated having the employee arrested.

“To have somebody in her own home trying to snap pictures they shouldn’t be snapping is really, really stressful,” Kris added. “You want to be able to trust the people that you’re surrounded by, but we have to really be on alert at all time, and that’s extremely upsetting when you feel like you can’t be in your own bedroom or bathroom.”

Neither Kris nor Kylie revealed what happened to the photograph, or the employee, but, well, one can guess. The incident, beyond being a total invasion of Kylie’s privacy, does point out just how thirsty the world has become for a photo or some insight into the 20-year-old’s personal life.

The rumors of her pregnancy really are getting out of control, too. From fans reporting she’s having twins, to media outlets exclaiming she’s already in labor or has even given birth, it might be time for us all to collectively take a Kylie Jenner chill pill. After all, it’s not our right to know her personal news until she’s ready to share it. Like sisters Kim and Khloé, she’ll do it when she’s ready—it just might not be as quickly as fans want it.

Khloé Kardashian Is Officially Six Months Pregnant Today

It’s been less than two weeks since Khloé Kardashian confirmed her much-hyped pregnancy. Since then, we have been treated to not one, not two, but three baby-bump posts on Instagram. The first, a beautiful black-and-white tribute to The Bump being lovingly caressed by its mother and father, was the pregnancy announcement itself. The second was a Christmas post featuring Kardashian in a silver-tasseled jumpsuit. The third was posted today, and it contains an important baby update.

Not only does the post have Kardashian proudly showing off the child-to-be in a very glam outfit, but it also announces that, as of Tuesday, she is officially six months pregnant. That’s right—KoKo has been going to great lengths to keep the media and reality-TV aficionados on their toes about this pregnancy for just under half a year.

All these celebratory posts are so adorable that there’s no way we can be mad about the wait. (Not to mention it’s a huge privilege—not a right—for us to be privy to Kardashian’s pregnancy in the first place.) In the first photo uploaded on Tuesday, Kardashian captioned the photo, “Officially 6 months.” In the second, with the caption “Mom and Dad,” she is seen planting a kiss on longtime boyfriend (and the father of her baby-to-be) Tristan Thompson.

According to People, Thompson celebrated the six-month mark with a post of his own. On Sunday the father-to-be uploaded a Snapchat video of him and Kardashian celebrating New Year’s Eve. “For six months, you a fine six months, baby. I’ll tell you that,” he said to her on camera. With around three months of baby bump content to go, we’re not sure how they could get any cuter.
