Kate Middleton and Prince William Reportedly Didn't Like the Royals Jokes Made at the BAFTAs

Remember when Brad Pitt‘s speech at the BAFTAs included a joke about Prince Harry and everyone laughed? Including (seemingly) Kate Middleton and Prince William, who were in attendance? Well, it turns out that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have been putting on a happy face at the BAFTAs this past Sunday (February 2). According to one source, the couple was not pleased with the jokes made at the royal family’s expense.

“The feedback is that many of the stars stepped out of line in front of the patron, which is the Duke of Cambridge,” U.K. media commentator Neil Sean told Fox News. The most notable, heavily-reported Hollywood rib at their expense definitely goes to Pitt, who won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He wasn’t able to attend, but Margot Robbie accepted the award and gave a speech on his behalf.

“[Brad] says that he is going to name [his award] Harry,” Robbie said. “Because he is really excited about bringing it back to the States with him… His words, not mine!” That’s when the camera panned, and we supposedly saw the duke and duchess react good-naturedly.

“This was not met with the smiling faces that you saw on the final edited version of the show,” Sean said, seemingly alleging that the broadcast had been changed in some way.

But the worst moment for the royals, according to Sean, came from actor Rebel Wilson. The Cats star chose to poke fun at a much more serious royal scandal: Prince Andrew’s ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“It is really great to be here at the Royal Andrew… uh, Royal Harry, no, at this royal palace place,” Wilson joked while presenting the award for Best Director. The camera, of course, cut to Will and Kate.

Apparently, the royals were so offended that they’re reportedly looking into ways to prevent moments like this in the future. “A mole also told me that to ensure that the royals are not embarrassed or made fun of again at such a prestigious event like this one…they will have a ‘moral clause’ inserted into their acceptance agreement ensuring that due reverence is given to the royal couple who gave their time and support to such a wonderful celebration of film and is respected,” Sean told Fox News.

Woof. At least Kate Middleton and Prince William’s exchange with actor Jaoquin Phoenix was delightful.

Kate Middleton Has Reportedly Been ‘in a Panic’ Since Harry and Meghan Stepped Down

Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals, we haven’t heard much about how things are going between them and Kate Middleton…until now. Unfortunately, if you believe Us Weekly, it’s not such a positive update. According to the publication’s sources, Markle and Middleton haven’t spoken since the news and “couldn’t be further apart.” Oof.

Perhaps that’s because Markle and Prince Harry’s (justifiable) exit means a lot more work for the Duchess of Cambridge. On top of being a mother of three, Middleton is reportedly working 18-hour days. For context, that’s 10 hours more than us 9-to-5-ers. (Sorry about the math.)

“Kate’s in a panic and has been having bouts of anxiety,” the source tells Us Weekly. “She barely has time to rest, and when she does try to sleep, her mind is constantly racing.”

With Middleton’s philanthropic work, royal duties, and photography side hustle, she’s got a lot on her plate. “She’s already stretched pretty thin,” the insider continued, “and now she’s really worried about how she’ll juggle the extra workload on top of her family life.”

To be fair, the grass isn’t so green on the other side for Markle and Prince Harry. According to TMZ, the couple’s stepback has come with unforeseen consequences. The two are reportedly “shocked” that they’ve lost their roles as youth ambassadors to the commonwealth (this was, allegedly, part of the deal they made with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles as part of their stepping down).

Markle and Prince Harry were prepared to stop using their royal titles when they moved to Canada, but the ambassadorship was apparently very important to the couple. Meghan picked up the role before the wedding and had flowers of all 53 commonwealth nations embroidered on her wedding dress. Still, the queen supposedly “drew a hard line in the sand,” and the pair ultimately agreed.

I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping when the dust settles, Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle can put all this behind them. In a perfect world, they will form a family band and tour the countryside, and all the haters won’t. Be. Invited.

Yup!

Kate Middleton Didn’t Wear Her Engagement Ring to an Event Today—Here’s Why

Kate Middleton had an official event Tuesday (January 28) at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and she looked effortlessly chic. The Duchess of Cambridge had on a Dolce & Gabbana tweed skirt suit, which she paired with black tights and simple Gianvito Rossi pumps. Her jewelry was just as classic: “Empress” earrings and a necklace designed by Mappin and Webb.

Something noticeably missing from her ensemble, though, was her engagement ring, which previously belonged to Princess Diana. She had on her gold wedding band, but her other iconic ring, gifted to her by husband Prince William, was nowhere to be found.

So where was it? No, there isn’t any trouble in (royal) paradise. According to People, the Evelina London Children’s Hospital actually has a policy about visitors wearing minimal jewelry. As would be expected for a hospital visit, you have to thoroughly clean your hands before touring the wards, so it’s recommended you show up with as little jewelry as possible.

It’s important to note this isn’t the first time the duchess has done this. She frequently leaves her engagement ring at home when visiting hospitals. People points to her visit to the opening of the Mittal Children’s Medical Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital in January 2018 as a recent example. It’s just a precaution to ensure Middleton’s priceless engagement ring stays, well, priceless.

“The Duchess of Cambridge visited Evelina London Children’s Hospital today to learn more about the creative art workshops which are delivered by the @nationalportraitgallery Hospital Programme,” Kensington Palace posted to its Instagram page about Middleton’s recent outing. “The NPG works closely with Evelina London to bring workshops and artists into the hospital, helping to support the health, well-being and happiness of the children who receive care there.”

To be honest, I didn’t even notice Middleton’s engagement ring was missing on this outing. I was too busy living for her sleek, impossibly shiny hair. Tell us your secrets, duchess.

Kate Middleton Did a Photo Shoot for a 10-Year-Old, and It's Just Adorable

Kate Middleton has had a busy—and photography-filled—week. The palace recently released two beautiful portraits of Holocaust survivors with their grandchildren, taken by the Duchess of Cambridge for a special exhibit commemorating 75 years since the end of the Holocaust.

And today (January 28), she posed for a very special shoot herself. Of course, Middleton is one of the most photographed women in the world. But this shoot was special. The royal popped by the National Portrait Gallery’s Hospital Programme at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, which showcased how the arts help children’s health, overall well-being, and happiness—a cause quite close to her heart. (Middleton is a patron of both organizations.)

While there, Luke Wheeler-Waddison, a 10-year-old heart patient, got the very special honor of photographing the duchess with one of the “rag wreaths” she was given as a gift. (People reports that the wreath will be headed to Princess Charlotte’s bedroom.)

He showed off his Polaroid for the official photographers at the event—and it looks like he did a great job. Talk about a cool souvenir, right? A photographer in the making, if you ask me.

The Duchess joined children and their families who were taking part in a ‘Playful Portraits’ workshop, and helped them to make sets and characters for their own pop-up theatres! ?? The Duchess also visited Evelina’s Beach Ward to meet children who were taking part in the workshop at their bedsides,” Kensington Royal posted about the event on Instagram.

Kate Middleton is known to have a passion for photography. Along with the new portraits released this week, often the pictures Kensington Palace releases of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are taken by their mom.

Middleton revealed recently, though, that she and Prince William probably won’t have more kids any time soon. “I don’t think William wants any more,” she told a fan earlier this month, according to Hello!.

Kate Middleton Shares Personal Portraits of Holocaust Survivors In Honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day

In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, held on January 27 each year, Kate Middleton did more than show up to the annual U.K. Holocaust Memorial Day Commemorative Ceremony in Westminster. The Duchess of Cambridge also shared poignant photos of two Holocaust survivors and their grandchildren that she captured for an upcoming exhibition.

Middleton, who has taken some of the formal portraits of her children released to the public, photographed survivors Steven Frank and Yvonne Bernstein and their families at Kensington Palace to mark the somber occasion. And in honor of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Middleton’s photos will be part of a larger show of 75 total images that the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, Jewish News, and the Royal Photographic Society have assembled.

“The harrowing atrocities of the Holocaust, which were caused by the most unthinkable evil, will forever lay heavy in our hearts. Yet it is so often through the most unimaginable adversity that the most remarkable people flourish,” read the caption of the official Kensington Royal Instagram page.

“Despite unbelievable trauma at the start of their lives, Yvonne Bernstein and Steven Frank are two of the most life-affirming people that I have had the privilege to meet,” Middleton continued. “They look back on their experiences with sadness but also with gratitude that they were some of the lucky few to make it through. Their stories will stay with me forever.”

The duchess photographed Frank with his granddaughters, Maggie and Trixie. According to the post, Frank was sent to the Theresienstadt camp where he and his brothers were three of just 93 surviving children. 15,000 children were sent there in total.

The second photo is of Bernstein with her granddaughter Chloe. Yvonne was one of France’s “hidden children,” escaping the Holocaust by “frequently changing homes and names” with her aunt and uncle.

“I wanted to make the portraits deeply personal to Yvonne and Steven—a celebration of family and the life that they have built since they both arrived in Britain in the 1940s,” the duchess added.

“The families brought items of personal significance with them which are included in the photographs. It was a true honour to have been asked to participate in this project and I hope in some way Yvonne and Steven’s memories will be kept alive as they pass the baton to the next generation.”

Frank said in a statement, “I would hope that the people who look at these pictures not only look at the beauty of the photography, but they will also think of the people behind the photos and their families that they lost in the Holocaust.”

The Kensington Royal Instagram account also released photos from today’s ceremony, where Kate and William spoke to survivors of the Holocaust and lit candles in memory of those who lost their lives.

Here's Why Kate Middleton Says She and Prince William Aren't Having More Kids

Kate Middleton and Prince William have their hands pretty full with their three adorable kids, Louis, George, and Charlotte (who looks so much like Prince William that he recently confused her baby picture for his). Still, people have often wondered if they might expand their family at any point, and tabloids have certainly had fun encouraging the idea. But Middleton spoke to a few members of the public while visiting Bradford this week, and reportedly put the rumors to rest by saying she and Prince William aren’t thinking about more kids.

Sources say Kate Middleton made the comment to a fan who asked if she and Prince William planned on adding any members to the family. “I don’t think William wants any more,” Middleton said, according to Hello! That seemingly puts an end to all the speculation—for now, at least.

Of course, Middleton has said a few things that have made people wonder if she might possibly have more babies on her mind. Last year, about a year after giving birth to Louis, she was out in Northern Ireland and crossed paths with a five-month-old baby, who she allegedly cooed over and admitted, “Makes me very broody.” She also joked, “I think William might be slightly worried.”

But feeling “broody” is one thing and full-on planning is another, and it seems like the Cambridges are committed to being a family of five . Plus, they have a ton going on, between a packed schedule of royal engagements and helping to figure out complications in the Sussex separation. (Prince William was reportedly part of a meeting that the Queen convened earlier this week.) And in between it all, Middleton has reportedly said she wants the kids to spend more time with Archie. Now, hopefully people will stop asking these two if they want more kids.
