Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Reportedly Only Leaving the House for One Thing

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made one promise to fans before logging off their Sussex Royal Instagram account for good. “As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute,” they wrote in a caption on March 30. “While you may not see us here, the work continues.”

These were clearly not just words. Since moving to Los Angeles in March, the low-key royal couple has been volunteering with Project Angel Food, an L.A. organization that prepares and delivers healthy meals to those affected by COVID-19 and other illnesses.

“They told us they heard our drivers were overloaded and wanted to volunteer to lighten the drivers’ workload,” Project Angel Food’s executive director, Richard Ayoub, told Entertainment Tonight. The couple reportedly followed all social distancing guidelines, staying six feet away from others, and wore masks and gloves. “I am blown away that they chose us. They care about our vulnerable population,” Ayoub said. “Our clients are most at risk to contract the coronavirus, having compromised immune systems including heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, and most are over the age of 60.”

Prince Harry also recently joined a video call with parents and medical workers associated with WellChild, an organization providing care to seriously ill children and young people in the U.K.

“[Meghan and Harry] felt helpless reading about everything going on and wanted to get out and contribute,” a source told People on April 23.

Another source told People that “they only leave their house for charity work.” Makes sense!

Otherwise, life in L.A. has reportedly been “liberating” for Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and baby Archie. “They order from Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s, and they don’t have a chef right now, so Meghan often cooks,” a source told Us Weekly this week.

We stan an altruistic couple!

How Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Reportedly Cooking in Quarantine Is So Relatable

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are clearly making the most of their new lives in Los Angeles, despite these uncertain times.

After moving from Canada to Los Angeles back in March, most of their time has been spent giving back to their new community and (Prince) Harry’s home country. The former senior royals have been photographed volunteering with Project Angel Food, an L.A. organization that prepares and delivers healthy meals to those affected by COVID-19 and other illnesses. Aside from that, the Duke of Sussex took part in a video call with parents and medical workers associated with WellChild, an organization providing care to seriously ill children and young people in the U.K.

During the call, the Duke of Sussex shared a bit of insight into how his family of three has been faring in their new home. “There’s a hell of a lot of positives that are happening at the same time and being able to have family time—so much family time—that you almost think, ‘Do I feel guilty for having so much family time?’” he said, according to People. “You’ve got to celebrate those moments where you are just on the floor rolling around in hysterics. Inevitably, half an hour later, maybe a day later, there’s going to be something that you have to deal with, and there’s no way you can run away from it.”

Now, we have a few more details about what life is like for the couple outside of their charity work. “Harry says moving to L.A. has been liberating,” a source told Us Weekly on April 22. “They order from Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s, and they don’t have a chef right now, so Meghan often cooks.” Grocery store deliveries? Home-cooked meals? Sounds like…all of us right now in quarantine.

Still, Meghan Markle and (Prince) Harry are sticking to their promise to focus on helping others. “What’s most important right now is the health and wellbeing of everyone across the globe and finding solutions for the many issues that have presented themselves as a result of this pandemic,” they wrote in their final Sussex Royal Instagram post on March 30. “As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute. While you may not see us here, the work continues.”

That’s still very much the case, according to the same source who spoke to Us Weekly. “Harry and Meghan’s No. 1 priority right now is helping those affected by the virus, especially the vulnerable,” they said.

Why Zac Efron Reportedly Didn’t Sing During the ‘High School Musical’ Reunion

Blame it on the WiFi. Apparently, that’s what Zac Efron should be saying to all the High School Musical fans who were upset that he didn’t participate in the singing portion of the cast’s virtual reunion on the Disney Family Singalong special that aired last week.

In case you missed it, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, and the rest of the East High Wildcats virtually reunited for the special and sang “We’re All in This Together.” Efron only appeared separately to introduce the song. “It’s my greatest pleasure to introduce a musical performance by some of my oldest friends,” he said.

Now one of Efron’s costars says Efron had a good reason for such a limited appearance. “What Kenny [Ortega, HSM’s director] told us when we were on the call was that at that time they hadn’t spoken to Zac yet,” Monique Coleman, who appeared in the reunion, told TMZ.

She continued, “I personally thought it was really cool that he was able to come in at the last minute and just do something. It means so much to the fans to see him and know that we are in it together.”

She went on to explain that the process of doing the song was very involved and they were filming all day. “I don’t really know, but if his WiFi wasn’t strong…I really don’t know where he is in the world, last I saw was like Papua New Guinea…but did you see the quality of [his] video though? It was, like, fuzzy,” she said. Coleman ended her interview calling Efron “one of the realest people” she knows and “more concerned with being a person than being a celebrity.”

Fans were super vocal on social media about how bummed they were to not see Zac Efron singing with the entire cast.

But it seems that a bad connection and no rehearsal time limited what he could do. Whatever the case, we’re glad he made the appearance.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Reportedly Delivered Food to Critically Ill People in Los Angeles

Like all of us, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are trying to find some semblance of normalcy amid the coronavirus pandemic. And for them, that usually means finding a way to give back. They may no longer be working members of the royal family, but their charitable tendencies aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Entertainment Tonight reports the couple have been volunteering with Project Angel Food, a Los Angeles organization founded by Marianne Williamson that prepares and delivers healthy meals to those affected by serious illnesses. (The couple reportedly made the big move to L.A. earlier this year.) ET says the Sussexes first volunteered on Easter Sunday and then delivered another 20 meals on Wednesday, April 15.

“They told us they heard our drivers were overloaded and wanted to volunteer to lighten the drivers’ workload,” Project Angel Food’s executive director Richard Ayoub said. The couple reportedly followed all social distancing guidelines, staying six feet away from others and wore masks and gloves.

“I am blown away that they chose us. They care about our vulnerable population,” Ayoub also told ET. “Our clients are most at risk to contract the coronavirus, having compromised immune systems including heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, and most are over the age of 60.”

We’re sure the Project Angel Food clients are so grateful to still have their meals delivered, even during this difficult time—and it must have been quite the surprise for many to find Meghan Markle and (Prince) Harry doing the delivering.

The Duke of Sussex recently opened up about how he, Markle, and baby Archie are doing during quarantine on a video call with one of his U.K. patronages, WellChild.

“There’s a hell of a lot of positives that are happening at the same time and being able to have family time — so much family time — that you almost think, ‘Do I feel guilty for having so much family time?’” he said. “You’ve got to celebrate those moments where you are just on the floor rolling around in hysterics. Inevitably, half an hour later, maybe a day later, there’s going to be something that you have to deal with and there’s no way you can run away from it.”

How Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Reportedly Feel About Each Other 8 Months After Their Breakup

It feels like it’s been about 20 years since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth announced they were splitting up after just eight months of marriage (and many years together). In reality, that was just in August 2019, and the couple only finalized their divorce in January.

Since that time, both stars have moved on to new relationships. Hemsworth is reportedly dating model Gabriella Brooks, and Cyrus is currently self-isolating with boyfriend Cody Simpson after a brief relationship last summer with Kaitlynn Carter.

A source recently talked to Entertainment Tonight about how Cyrus currently feels about her ex-husband, and it seems like it’s all good vibes. “She knows how important love and marriage are for him [Hemsworth], but she just needed her independence,” the source said. “Miley and Liam have moved on and it seems they’re both where they most want to be in life.”

The source continued, “Miley has moved on; she feels free. She is happy and dating Cody at the moment with no pressure to marry. Miley and Cody are staying home and social distancing together. She keeps saying this has been the best thing for her.”

According to the source who spoke to ET, Hemsworth is doing just fine, too. “Liam loved Miley so much but in the back of his mind, he always knew a life with her would prove difficult because she never seemed ready to settle down,” they said. “Liam wanted a marriage and family.”

The source added, “While Liam’s family has been a huge support since the breakup with Miley, it was Gabriella who made him realize there is life after Miley. Gabriella is quiet, low key. She loves to be alone with Liam and isn’t seeking attention from others.”

This sounds very much like an all’s well that ends well situation, and we’re just happy if Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are, too.

‘Call Me By Your Name’ Sequel: Everything We Know So Far — Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer Reportedly Signed On

The plot. We don’t know a lot about the full story yet, but FYI, Call Me By Your Name ended (spoiler alert) with Oliver making a heartbreaking call to Elio and telling him he’s engaged to be married to a woman.

There is a second novel entitled Find Me, which takes place 10 years after the novel. However, before the novel came out, Hammer had told IndieWire that Guadagnino had already pitched a sequel script to him. “Dude, he broke down the whole script for us,” Hammer said back in 2018. “I mean, it’s not a finished script, but he’s got all the ideas for it. Luca’s all gung-ho about it, and by the way, if Luca’s doing it, I think we’re all gung-ho about it.”

The release date. No one knows quite yet when the sequel might arrive—not even Guadagnino, who said that production has been put on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic. “Before coronavirus, I made a trip to the United States to meet a screenwriter I love very much, whose name I don’t want to say, to talk about the second part. Unfortunately, we had to put it on hold,” he said.

Honestly, we’ll wait however long we have to for this one. We’ve missed Elio and Oliver so much!
