Lindsay Lohan Wants to Do a Mean Girls Sequel and That's Honestly So Fetch

You’re not alone, Mean Girls fans (or should we say Plastics?) Lindsay Lohan has also been waiting patiently for Mean Girls 2.

Earlier this week, fresh off her hosting duties for Australia’s The Masked Singer, Lohan sat down for an interview on David Spade’s talk show, Lights Out with David Spade. It was there that she brought fans everywhere a little bit of joy by telling Spade she’s absolutely down to star in a Mean Girls sequel.

“I think I was hanging onto [Mean Girls] for a really long idea,” Lohan told Spade on April 14. “I wanted to come back with a Mean Girls 2 with the same cast, work with Tina [Fey], and the whole crew again, and [director] Mark Waters. That was really what I wanted; I was excited to do that. But that’s all in their hands, really.”

We’re sure we don’t have to explain this to you, but we’ll take any opportunity to rave about Mean Girls: Since its debut in 2004, Mean Girls has become an early-aughts classic. Not only did it gross $129 million at the box office, but it also spawned a hit Broadway musical. There’s practically an entire Ariana Grande music video devoted to the movie and October 3rd has become, like, an actual holiday at this point.

However, while Lohan’s enthusiasm is exciting for fans, it’s important to note that this isn’t the first time a sequel has come up only to be dismissed by the film’s creators. No response has been made yet, but back in 2018, Tina Fey, who wrote the movie, told Entertainment Tonight that a sequel with the same cast is unlikely as it would cost far too much now that the characters are all major stars. “Quotes are all too high now,” she joked.

There is one other glimmer of hope, though. Fey has announced her plans to adapt the Broadway musical version of Mean Girls to the big screen. It will not act as a sequel, but rather a music-filled retelling. Honestly, we’ll take what we can get.

Still, isn’t quarantine the perfect time for Fey and Lohan to come together over Zoom and start coming up with a plan for that sequel? Maybe they can even get Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried on the call. Just a suggestion.

Taylor Swift Took Her Heels Off During Her Time 100 Performance, and Honestly, Same

Taylor Swift is very much back in the public eye—and from the looks of it, she’s having a blast. There is a literal countdown on her website to what many expect will be new music on April 26. She’s also working a new fashion aesthetic filled with pinks, purples, hearts, and flowers—which can also be seen in her recent Instagram posts.

Last night, she brought it all together at the Time 100 dinner in New York City where she was honored as one of the most influential people in the world, performed for the star-studded crowd, and met lots of other famous faces—all while wearing a pastel J. Mendel dress that was giving me seriously chic Ren Faire vibes.

Let’s start with her performance, where fans noticed that her the sparkly hearts on her guitar matched the background on her website. Also, note that she removed the puffy sleeves from her gown before hitting the stage.

She even ditched her shoes in the middle of her performance, which is definitely relatable. “Nobody look… it’s.. unladylike,” Swift joked.

Swift gave a little speech in between songs like “Style” and “Delicate,” referencing the famous Nora Ephron quote that “everything is copy.” “Everything that happened to her, she used on inspiration,” Swift said. “And I think that one of my favorite things about female writers, about writers in general, about people who take what happens to them and they process it and they put it out into the world, is if you write, you can turn your lessons into your legacy. And so, I’m just really happy to get to do this.”

The Rock was very into the set.

She got to meet and mingle with lots of other celebs—like Sandra Oh and Khalid. Any Taylor fan knows how much Grey’s Anatomy means to the singer, so we can only imagine how major it was to hang with the erstwhile Cristina Yang. “I know Sandra Oh is in the room which shakes me to my very core… That’s my whole life there,” she said while onstage. And yes, Swift even scored some time with the Mother of Dragons herself, Emilia Clarke, which you can check out here. Do you think she got any spoilers?

Swift’s Instagram story with soccer star Alex Morgan also debuted a new 4.26 filter that is designed to match her whole new, sparky vibe.

But she also made time for fellow honorees like human rights defender, Radhya Almutawakel.

Basically, her night at the Time 100 was pretty epic—and now we’ll just resume our countdown to 4.26.

Ariana Grande Temporarily Gave Up on True Love Because She Was Hangry, and Honestly, Same

We all know (and love) the celebrities that aren’t afraid to keep it real by giving us glimpses of just how relatable they are: There’s Rihanna, who once dodged a bouquet at a friend’s wedding, and there’s also Chrissy Teigen, who was once filmed using a spatula to try to save some spilled breast milk. And once in a while, just like us when we’re hungry, celebrities will say things they don’t mean. Exhibit A: Ariana Grande’s most recent series of tweets.

In a since-deleted tweet from Saturday, December 1, the singer declared that “true love doesn’t exist,” and claimed she doesn’t want a “next.” The “next,” of course, is a reference to the artist’s most recent single, “Thank U, Next,” which dropped in early November following her split from SNL cast member Pete Davidson—and her tweet came one day after she dropped her music video, which broke YouTube and Vevo’s record for most views within 24 hours. Fans were concerned about Grande, until she broke her silence with a bold statement: She was just hungry.

The singer hopped on Twitter again later in the day Saturday to add to her earlier declaration. She said: “true love might exist i was just hungry.”

However, it seems like there still might be some of that original sentiment yet: “but still, fuck that,” she tweeted later.

Well, there ya have it: True love may still exist—the singer was simply blinded by extreme hunger.

Hailey Baldwin’s Engagement Ring Is Honestly Even Bigger Than I Imagined

After months of trying to catch a glimpse of it from grainy paparazzi photos, fans finally have a good look at Hailey Baldwin‘s engagement ring from Justin Bieber, and it’s even more stunning and sparkly than you’d expect.

The model appears on the September cover of Vogue México, and her enormous diamond ring is front and center in the photo. In the black-and-white shot, Baldwin is seen resting her head on her arm, with her hand casually draped in front of her, allowing a full view of her oval-shaped stone and 18-karat-gold band.

While this is the first time we’ve seen the ring up close, we do know a few things about what went into the selection process.

“[Justin] had certain design elements that he wanted and he had certain expectations, and I think we delivered,” Jack Solow, of New York City–based Solow & Co. Inc. Diamond Jewelers, who designed the ring, previously revealed. “It was about the diamond. I think he knew very well what Baldwin wanted in a ring, but he wanted it very much to be about a very special diamond. He left it in my hands to try and select the most beautiful diamond for someone like Hailey.” The singer was also adamant that the ring have an 18-karat-gold band, which Solow speculated was important to Baldwin.

The design process reportedly involved a series of phone calls and back-and-forth photo exchanges. After only a few weeks, the custom piece of jewelry was ready for Bieber’s proposal. “Like any other young man, he said, ‘Wow, it’s gorgeous,'” Solow said. “There was one moment when he looked into the diamond and I said, ‘What do you see inside that diamond?’ He goes, ‘I think I see Hailey’s face,’ so that was kind of cute.”

Michelle and Barack Obama Are Honestly Living Their Best Lives at Beyoncé and Jay Z's Concert

On Saturday, Michelle and Barack Obama proved once again that they are living their best post-White House life when they attended Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s concert in Maryland, near their home of Washington, D.C. Not only did they prove they are having the best time, but they also showed they still have the best dance moves of any presidential family in U.S. history (and that’s zero percent an exaggeration).

During the concert, fans captured footage of the former First Couple as they sang along with the music and danced with friends in their box seats. Twitter reveled in Michelle’s perfectly executed moves, while Barack—well, Barack kept it classic, showing off his world-famous “dad” moves. The videos are thoroughly delightful.

And really, this is just the kind of thing you’d expect from the post-political Obamas. After all, this was Michelle’s second On the Run II Tour concert in as many weeks, proving she might just be queen of the Beyhive fandom. In early July, she was spotted alongside Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, and her youngest daughter Sasha at the couple’s tour stop in Paris. (To say we’re a little envious is an understatement.) This time, however, it made it all the more special that Barry was at the D.C.-area concert too.

Look at these two:

I mean, it’s adorable:

And one more just for good measure.

It’s not super-surprising, however: The two couples have been friends for years, dating back to at least 2009, when Bey performed at then-President Obama’s first inauguration. She also sang the national anthem at his second inauguration event in 2013.

In 2011, Michelle and Beyoncé teamed up to help promote the then-First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign to help end childhood obesity in America. And in 2014, Michelle was spotted at her first Beyoncé concert in Chicago, according to CNN, to which she also brought daughters Sasha and Malia along.

Safe to say these two are fans of Bey and Jay—and we’re so happy that video documentation exists.

Rihanna's Answer to Why She Wasn't Invited to the Royal Wedding Is Honestly Perfection

Rihanna, queen of pop, makeup, lingerie, and Catholicism-inspired fashion, pops up pretty much wherever the latest action is. One place she won’t be, however, is the royal wedding—which, as you might of heard, is happening this coming Saturday, May 19.

The invite list to the royal wedding is kept to an intimate 600 people, not including the 2,640 normals (such as myself, in a better world) who will be spectacle-ing on the grounds of Windsor Castle. That’s fine and all, but when you’re an institution as extensive as the British monarchy and surrounding aristocracy, those seats get filled up pretty quickly.

Apparently, Rihanna is clued into this, and, humbly, didn’t really think she’d be invited. Sure, Rihanna and Prince Harry might have met in 2016 at a Barbados National HIV/AIDS Commission event, but Rihanna didn’t think that alone warranted an invite to the royal wedding.

Fast-forward to 2018, and a reporter asked her if she was going to the big bash. Apparently Rihanna is too busy being fabulous—and also literally busy!—to know the royal wedding is coming up: “So is it really coming up? Like, soon or something?” she said.

“Yeah, in a week,” the reporter replied.

“Oh shoot!” she responded. “See, I need to stay on the Internet more.”

The reporter then promptly asked, “So you weren’t invited?”

She, being humble, was like, “Why would you even think I’m invited?”

The reporter might or might not have been caught off-guard and responded, “I don’t know. You met [Prince Harry].”

And then, Rihanna said jokingly, “OK, you met me. You think you’re coming to my wedding?”

The reporter then said, “Maybe!” and Rihanna asks if she’s invited to hers. “I mean, you’ll get the invite,” she responds.

“Oh, girl,” Rihanna replied, before flipping her gorgeous hair.

Simply iconic.
