Lizzo Says She’s Leaving Twitter: ‘Too Many Trolls’

Lizzo is extremely committed to doing exactly what makes her feel good as hell, whether that’s twerking in a thong at a Lakers game or belting out her hits in front of a giant inflatable butt at the VMAs. But this attitude extends to her mental health and self-love journeys as well, and she’s been honest when she needs to take time to focus on herself and her feelings. This week she made an important decision to do exactly that by logging off Twitter for a while.

Her message to her fans was quick and to the point: “Yeah I can’t do this Twitter s**t no more.. too many trolls. I’ll be back when I feel like it.” She didn’t go into detail about what exactly prompted the decision, but CNN reports she’s been on the receiving end of abuse from trolls recently related to her weight. Even her tweet was met with a slew of disturbing and offensive responses.

Plenty of fans jumped to her defense and let her know she had their love and encouragement. “Please know for every troll, there are so many genuine fans here to show love and support,” one fan wrote. “We’ve got your back QUEEN! Hope you come back to us soon!”

The news comes just as Lizzo made history as the first solo female artist to headline Bonnaroo. Despite the trolls, the “Tempo” rapper keeps winning and making strides in her career, all the while working to change beauty norms in pop culture.

“Let’s just make space for these women,” she told Glamour last year. “Make space for me. Make space for this generation of artists who are really fearless in self-love. They’re out here. They want to be free. I think allowing that space to be made is really what’s going to shift the narrative in the future. Let’s stop talking about it and make more space for people who are about it.”

Chrissy Teigen Trolls John Legend With Hilarious 'Sexiest Man Alive' Pajamas

It’s become very clear that Chrissy Teigen loves to poke fun at John Legend. Case in point: the couple’s anniversary tribute; that time she replaced his Grammy; and so on and so forth.) But she’s really had to step up her troll game lately, after her husband’s latest honor.

The “All of Me” singer was recently named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” so Teigen surprised him with a onesie plastered with images of the cover. She unveiled the outfit after Thanksgiving dinner, enlisting her friends Bronwyn Reed and Paul Barbosa to model the matching pjs.

“Great pic guys we all look great!!!” she captioned a shot posted to Instagram, in which she also wearings the hilarious look.

“Stunning,” Legend wrote in the comments section.

Teigen also shared footage of Legend’s priceless reaction to her Instagram Stories.

“Sexiest man, baby” the mother-of-two can be heard saying in another clip, as Legend chuckles and claps.

This isn’t the first time Teigen has trolled her husband’s “Sexiest Man Alive” title. In fact, she hasn’t let him forget it. Not only did she tease him about it on Twitter, but she even updated her bio to read, “currently sleeping with people’s sexiest man alive.”

But the trolling didn’t end there. Teigen also shared a video of the couple’s children, Luna and Miles, completely unimpressed by their father’s accomplishment. “The kids…do not care,” she wrote.

The model then followed that up with another message: “@johnlegend come home please. we want to make fun of you in person.”

As always, well played, Chrissy.

Hilaria Baldwin Responds to ‘Cruel’ Trolls Who Shamed Her After a Recent Miscarriage

Hilaria Baldwin is opening up about the “cruel” trolls who have been attacking her following a miscarriage she experienced earlier this month. Taking to Instagram Stories, the yoga instructor spoke out about the backlash and defended herself against accusing her of publicizing the recent loss of her pregnancy for attention.

“All of a sudden I started getting negative comments about my miscarriage,” Baldwin said on social media on November 26, per People, adding that some of remarks included “attention seeker,” “too old,” and “disgusting.”

Baldwin, who is married to actor Alec Baldwin, responded to the harsh words saying there aren’t any comments that could ever compare to the pain of losing a baby.

“Losing a baby at any stage is hitting rock bottom,” Baldwin said. “Rock bottom sucks. But rock bottom is also eye opening. Because you understand and have experienced true pain. It makes the trolls seem even smaller than they usually are. Because no words they can use can ever compare to what you have lost.”

“Those of you who bully women who suffer as I have are bringing a cruelty to the world that is so wrong,” she continued. “You are contributing to feelings of shame, fear, insufferable pain. It is for this reason that I have stepped forward and shared as I have. Not for attention, but because it is my life story and I decided to open up.”

“You think I wanted this???” Baldwin asked. “I have experienced this pain that countless women before and with me have and we should make their…OUR…lives…easier, not more difficult.”

She ended her message by urging women to lift each other up. “Our system is broken,” Baldwin said. “Time to support and stop the shaming of women simply trying to create family and love.”

“Just to know we are not ‘broken’,” she added. “We are just opening ourselves up to love. And we should never be ashamed of this..even when it doesn’t go as planned.”

The mother-of-four experienced two pregnancy losses in 2019—one this month after previously revealing she was expecting a baby girl. She also miscarried in April, an experience which she candidly shared with the world in real-time.

At the time, she explained to Glamour why shared her loss as it happened, saying she hoped opening up about the private moments would help put an end to the stigma surrounding miscarriage.

“I understand why some women choose to keep this pain private, but it’s such a personal thing—some people need to process the loss on their own, and others need to process it more publicly,” she said. “Women deserve to have the option to do whatever they need to heal.”

Chrissy Teigen Trolls John Legend by Replacing His Grammys With Her New Award

This week Chrissy Teigen was recognized at the Baby2Baby Gala, where her husband John Legend presented her with the Giving Tree Award to mark her commitment to advocating for children in need. It was a pretty serious event with an important message and during her speech, Teigen said she was “honored” to use her platform to help get basic necessities for children living in poverty. However, because she’s Chrissy Teigen, she wasn’t serious for too long; Once she got home, she used the award to troll Legend in the most hilarious way.

After the gala, Teigen shared a Twitter video, shot by Legend, of her redecorating their living room to make space for her latest accolade. In the clip, you can see the model walking directly into her home with Legend in tow, beelining to a shelf filled with his 10 Grammy statues (and various Oscars). As Legend watches, she moves two of his golden gramophones directly out of the way to display her glass award. You can hear Legend mutter, “Wow…oh my God,” in disbelief as he watches his wife rearrange his trophies. Teigen however, replies cheerfully, turning around and exclaiming, “Yay!” All of this is proof that in addition to a wonderful advocate, she’s also still the master at trolling her husband.

During the ceremony, which was held in Culver City, California, Teigen spoke about how she’s instilled the values of giving in her kids. “Luna is no stranger to packing up all of her toys and sending them off, and knowing that people are going to open them and love them more and be so excited by them,” she said, per the New York Times.

And don’t worry, no one is more supportive of Teigen’s efforts than her proud hubby. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Legend spoke lovingly about how Teigen’s celebrity status has eclipsed his own.

“I’m her biggest cheerleader,” he said to VF. “I always think she should do more.”

Khloé Kardashian Perfectly Shut Down Trolls on Instagram for Good

Khloé Kardashian has officially had enough of trolls. This week, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star hit back at critics by turning off her Instagram comments after some accused her of getting lip injections. Though Kardashian is known to clap back at her haters, she decided her move here was to avoid giving the negativity a platform altogether.

The criticism all started after Good American co-founder shared a series of photos to promote an ad for Skin Thesis.

“Hey glow!!! ✨ #ad Shout out to Melissa @skinthesisinc for my healthy glowing skin ?,” Kardashian captioned the post, which highlighted her skin-care regime.

But instead of focusing on her glowing appearance, comments quickly started to roll in questioning whether the reality star she’s had any work done on her face—and the messages ranged from mean to straight-up nasty.

“God what happened,” one person reportedly wrote.

“I’m sorry but your lips are overdone, it looks nasty,” another commented.

“If you can’t close your lips ?… too much filler,” someone else remarked.

By quietly disabled everyone’s ability to comment, it not only helped her avoid further trolling, but it served as an important reminder that whether Kardashian’s had work done or not is none of anyone’s business.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Kardashian has been called out in regards to how she lives her life.

Earlier this month, she was accused of using her daughter as an accessory after posting a photo walking along the beach carrying baby True.

“U do know that your baby isn’t an accessory right?” a user asked.

Camila Cabello Just Powerfully Clapped Back at Body-Shaming Trolls on Instagram

Camila Cabello is not going to let body-shamers get to her. On Saturday, the pop singer wrote an emotional but sharply worded post on her Instagram Stories, shutting down people who had taken it upon themselves to point out her cellulite in photos. For them, she had a clear message: “Cellulite is normal.”

The former Fifth Harmony member explained that she’s been taking time off of social media to avoid things that hurt her feelings, but she’d made a rare visit to her Instagram account to post a picture about the two-year anniversary of her hit solo single, “Havana.” When she began looking at the platform, she noticed that there was a headline about people body-shaming her and said she immediately felt insecure imagining what photos had led to all the negativity.

Cabello has been the subject of tons of paparazzi photos lately, as rumors have emerged that she’s dating her friend and frequent music collaborator Shawn Mendes. However, she quickly realized that regardless of what photos of her are circulating out there, she shouldn’t feel conscious.

“Honestly first thing I felt was super insecure just IMAGINING what these pictures must look like, oh no! My cellulite! Oh no! I didn’t suck in my stomach!” Cabello write. “But then I was like… of course there are bad pictures, of course there are bad angles, my body’s not made of fucking rock, or all muscle, for that matter, but the saddest part of young girls growing up in an airbrushed world is they’re seeking a perfection that’s not real.”

“I’m writing this for girls like my little sister who are growing up on social media,” she wrote. “They’re constantly seeing photoshopped, edited pictures and thinking that’s reality, and everyone’s eyes get used to seeing airbrushed skin, and suddenly they think THAT’S the norm. ?!!! It isn’t. It’s fake. AND FAKE IS BECOMING THE NEW REAL. We have a completely unrealistic view of a woman’s body. Girls, cellulite is normal, fat is normal. It’s beautiful and natural. I won’t buy into bullshit today!”

She signed off strongly: “I won’t buy into the bullshit today!!!! Not today Satan. And I hope you don’t either.”
