Ariana Grande Reveals That Going Back to Her High Ponytail Is 'A Remarkable Feeling'


Ariana Grande and the first love of her life—by this we mean her high ponytail—are officially back together after some time apart.

The singer took a few days off from her signature look when she released her Sweetener album last week, and made headlines for her choice to wear her hair down to some accompanying events. But on Friday, she took to Twitter to reassure fans that her dabble into the world without high ponytails is officially over.

“my god going back to a high pony after a few days of not wearing a high pony is …….. a remarkable feeling,” she wrote. “i’m just ……. supposed to have a high pony u kno ? some things are just meant to be and this is jus one of those things.”

When a fan asked if her sky-high ponies ever hurt her head, she replied, “nah I can’t feel anymore the nerves in my head said fuck u a good year or two ago we’re good,” then followed up by saying, “ugh she’s up and she’s divine.”

This isn’t the first time Grande has opened up about her special relationship with her iconic hairdo. “The pony has also gone through an evolution, and I’m proud of that,” she told Fader earlier this summer. “Old pony? I don’t know if she’s that girl. But new pony? I like her. I mean, it’s like a Victoria’s Secret Angel without angel wings. It’s still her without them, but when she’s with them it’s like, ‘Ohh, I get it, she’s an angel.'”

Throughout this year, Grande and her hair have journeyed through a variety of different styles, including platinum blond and lavender dye jobs, and—gasp—a low ponytail. Even so, it seems she’ll always go back to her one true love.

Ariana Grande Reveals How Writing "Get Well Soon" Helped With Her Healing Process


Ariana Grande is opening up about her mental health, this time in song form.

In a new interview for Paper magazine’s new issue, the singer revealed that the song “Get Well Soon,” a collaboration with Pharrell Williams on her new Sweetener album, is about her struggles with anxiety.

During the interview, Sivan comments that the song “shook [him] to [his] core,” and asked Grande how she was able to be so vulnerable on the track.

“[Pharrell] kind of forced it out of me, because I was in a really bad place mentally,” she revealed. “I’ve always had anxiety, I’ve had anxiety for years. But when I got home from tour it reached a very different, intense peak. It became physical and I was not going out at all, and I felt like I was outside my body.”

“I’d have these spells every now and then where I felt like I was having déjà vu, but like 24/7 for three months at a time. It was really weird, and all that was on my mind. [Pharrell] was like, ‘You have to write about it. You need to make this into music and get this shit out, and I promise it will heal you.'”

It turns out, he was right. “It definitely helped,” Grande told Sivan. “It still took me a few weeks to feel better, but looking back at it now from a healthier place, it’s probably one of the most important songs I’ll ever write.”

The lyrics to the song are incredibly powerful, and it’s no wonder that Sivan felt like he was “punched in the gut” the first time he heard it: “Want you to get better/My life is so controlled by the what-if’s…/ Is there anybody else whose mind does this, mmm?…/ Is there such a ladder to get above this?” they read.

In an emotional interview earlier this week, she explained why it was so important to her to put a song like “Get Well Soon” into the world. “It’s just about just being there for each and helping each other through scary times and anxiety,” she said on Beats 1 radio. “There’s some dark shit out there, man, and we just have to be there for each other as much as we can because you never fucking know. I just wanted to do something to make people feel good and less alone.”

Kylie Jenner Reveals She Got Rid of Her Lip Filler


The basis of Kylie Jenner’s $420 million makeup empire might have started around her famously Juvaderm’ed lips, but it’s looking like her interest in the pillowy look is deflating. On Instagram Sunday night, Jenner revealed that she’s done with filler—for now at least.

The speculation first started when fans began commenting that she looked an awful lot like the “Old Kylie” in a new photo she’d posted; to which the new mom responded, “I got rid of all my filler,” which was captured on the Comments By Celebs account. Of course, Instagram and Twitter blew up in reaction to the announcement.

If there’s one person who can be singlehandedly credited to the rise of fillers—for better or worse—it’s Jenner. When the then 17-year-old revealed on Keeping Up With the Kardashians that her lips had been enhanced (and not just overlined, as she previously claimed), it virtually changed beauty standards overnight. “When she first talked about her minimal cosmetic procedures I saw a new trend of younger women who suddenly felt empowered to unapologetically want to look more beautiful. It’s like Kylie singlehandedly gave a whole generation the ticket to a more enhanced version of themselves,” Dr. Simon Ourian, the man behind Jenner’s signature lips, said in a WWD interview late last year.

It sounds like hyperbole, but he’s not wrong. In the year following Jenner’s reveal that she’d gotten injections, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported a double-digit increase in the number of lip procedures performed. Some clinics even reported they had a 70-percent increase in inquiries about injections the day after that famous KUWTK episode aired.

Where talking about cosmetic enhancements was once considered taboo, the stigma attached to it dissolved. Not only that, injections became a status symbol. “I had treated hundreds of celebrities before but very few of them were bold enough to share their secrets with such transparency,” Dr. Ourian added. “Her influence was much that what was once a taboo has now become a bragging right. People want to brag about having their lips done. My social media patients put up a selfie with me so that they can say they came to our office.”

The reactions, suffice to say, have been coming in hot and fast on social media, with responses ranging from everything including how great Jenner looks to wondering whether this means injections are dead or not.

While it’s too soon to tell what—if any—effect her move will have, knowing her influence, if she says injections are dunzo, it could be the end of the Insta look as we know it. Or at least the beginning of a Kylie “Natural Lips” Kit.

Kim Kardashian Reveals That She Gave Khloé a Leg Up (Literally) in the Delivery Room


In case you were worried, rest assured that yes, Khloé Kardashian‘s sisters did make it to Cleveland in time for the birth of her daughter on Thursday. In fact, as older sister Kim Kardashian West revealed on Twitter early Friday morning, she actually played a crucial role in helping Khloé deliver her baby.

“I’m so happy for you! Your baby girl is so beautiful! You are so strong, you made that look so easy! I can’t wait for our baby girls to grow up as best friends the way we are!” Kim tweeted at her sister, referring to her own newborn daughter, Chicago, who arrived on January 15. “I’m so happy I was able to return the favor of holding your leg while you pushed LOL.” In a follow-up tweeted directed at her followers, Kim added, “You guys she’s so gorgeous!!!!!”

The rest of Khloé’s tight-knit family have also congratulated her on the birth of her first child. On Thursday, mom Kris Jenner retweeted a W magazine video in which daughter Kendall Jenner repeats the word “baby” over and over, adding, “BLESSED!!!” Also on Thursday, Khloé’s youngest sister Kylie Jenner posted a video on Snapchat while riding in the passenger seat of a car; a pink filter reading “Kongrats, Khloé! It’s a girl!” was overlaid on top of the video, while Cardi B and Chance the Rapper’s song “Best Life” plays in the background. And while Kourtney has yet to post a message explicitly about Khloé’s daughter, she did take to Instagram on Thursday, shortly after reports of Khloé’s delivery first broke, to post a photo of her daughter Penelope, Kim’s daughter North, and a friend with the caption “GIRL POWER.”

New 'Fifty Shades Freed' Trailer Reveals Ana Is Pregnant


The third and final film in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, Fifty Shades Freed, hits theaters in just a few weeks, and fans are flipping out. It seems like just yesterday college graduate Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) was beginning her kinky and occasionally problematic relationship with billionaire Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan)—but so much has happened since then. The two of them still have wild sex on the reg, but they’re now engaged and dealing with vengeful ghosts from the past: Ana’s former boss, Jack, and Christian’s former…erm, something, Elena.

A major portion of Fifty Shades Freed centers on Ana and Christian facing off with Jack and Elena. Of course, when they’re not doing that, they’re banging in Christian’s Red Room. And when they’re not doing that, Ana’s finding out she’s pregnant. Yup. Didn’t see that one coming, did you?

Well, you did if you read the books—but that doesn’t make the reveal any less exciting. Yes, my friends, Ana becomes pregnant in the third Fifty Shades film, and this new trailer shows her hearing the news for the first time.

It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment. In the last four seconds of this trailer, which debuted last night, someone—presumably a doctor—tells Ana, “It seems you’re pregnant, Mrs. Grey.” All you see is Ana’s face drop to the floor before the trailer abruptly ends. Ahhh, cliffhangers! Check it out for yourself, below:

It’ll be interesting to see how Ana’s pregnancy plays out in the film compared to E.L. James’ 2012 novel. Add this to your ever-increasing list of reasons to check out Fifty Shades Freed when it drops on February 9.

'Omarosa' Reveals How Her White House Firing Really Went Down on 'SNL'


‘SNL’ has been quick with its hot takes this season, and after yet another White House casualty, they couldn’t resist the chance to add their own thoughts on what really went down.

ICYMI, Omarosa Manigault Newman joined the long—like, really long—list of people whom President Donald Trump sent packing this year when it was announced on Friday that she had resigned from her position with the Trump administration, effective January 20, 2018. At first the news didn’t seem all that interesting given the amount of White House turnover we’ve seen during the past months. But then reports started to surface that she had to be removed from the premises after she was fired by chief of staff John Kelly, which were then followed by Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts‘ “Bye, Felicia” quip on the show. Naturally, Saturday Night Live writers and cast decided to take a closer look at what might have gone down.

Michael Che introduced the segment on last night’s “Weekend Update” by saying, “It was announced that Omarosa Manigault Newman was fired from her White House job. Whatever the hell that was.” (His best guess is that she was “Secretary of the Sunken Place.”)

“Man, when you get a ‘Bye, Felicia’ from Robin Roberts, you know you suck,” Che says after a clip of Roberts’ diss of the ex-Apprentice contestant plays (echoing a much re-tweeted tweet from earlier in the week). That’s when Leslie-Jones-as-Omarosa makes her second appearance of the night.

“I demand a retraction,” she tells Che. “I left that job by choice.” Then she spells it out for him: “That’s right, I quit. I deactivated my ID card. I changed the locks on my own office. I escorted myself off the premises. And then I threw myself into the bushes.”

When “security” arrives and tries to escort Jones’ Omarosa off the stage, she remains defiant. “Yeah, you better take my arm,” she tells the bearded guy in a suit. “Because I’m escorting you out of the building. And you better throw me into the Christmas tree!”
