Brad Pitt Played Dr. Fauci on Saturday Night Live and People Are Obsessed

When Dr. Anthony Fauci jokingly told reporters he’d like to be played by Brad Pitt on Saturday Night Live, do you think he expected his wish to come true? Well, that’s exactly what happened.

On April 10, CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota asked Fauci if he’d prefer being played by Ben Stiller or Pitt on the now-remote sketch show. “Oh Brad Pitt,” he said at the time. “Of course.”

Well, last night’s SNL at Home kicked off with a cold open starring the Oscar-winning actor portraying Fauci, perhaps the most prominent member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

“First I’d like to thank all the older women in America who have sent me supportive, inspiring, and sometimes graphic emails,” Pitt—donning a suit, grey wig, and wire glasses—began his “address.” The rest of the sketch was dedicated to translating what President Donald Trump really means when he speaks about the coronavirus. For example, when he said “everyone can get a test.”

“What he meant was: almost no one,” Pitt’s Fauci clarified in a very heavy Brooklyn accent, before responding to further incorrect comments by the president. “So yeah, I’m getting fired,” he says later in the sketch. “But until then, I’m gonna be there putting out the facts for whoever’s listening, and when I hear things like the virus can be cured if everyone takes the Tide Pod Challenge, I’ll be there to say, ‘Please don’t.'” Really. Please don’t.

In a very welcome move, Pitt chose to end his skit by removing his costume (just the wig and glasses, relax) and thanking Dr. Fauci and healthcare workers personally. “To the real Dr. Fauci, thank you for your calm and your clarity in this unnerving time,” Pitt said. “And thank you to the medical workers, first responders, and their families for being on the front line. And now, live…kinda…from all across America, it’s Saturday night.”

It would be an understatement to say that the skit was well-received online. “Brad Pitt playing Fauci on #SNL is only going to make him more of a sex symbol,” one user tweeted. “(Fauci, I mean. But it works both ways.)” Remember, Pitt was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive twice.

Here are some more reactions to the sketch:

Honestly, the only thing that could have made the sketch better would have been if Pitt wore a Fauci nametag

The Crown Season 3 Is Finally Here, and People Are Obsessed

It’s been almost two years since we’ve had new episodes of Netflix’s The Crown—but that all changed Sunday, November 17, when the streaming platform dropped season three into our feeds.

The show picks up in the 1960s with Olivia Colman stepping into the role of Queen Elizabeth, taking over for Claire Foy. There’s a nod to this change in first episode, when the queen is looking at postage stamps of her younger self and then calls herself an “old bat.” The rest of the cast is new, as well, with Helena Bonham Carter as the queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, and Tobias Menzies (of Outlander fame) as her husband, Prince Philip. “It’s a bit like changing contact lenses,” creator Peter Morgan told Entertainment Weekly about adjusting to new actors in the roles. “I think it takes you about five minutes to get used to it.” And Colman joked about taking over for the very popular Foy. “It’s horrendous,” she said. “Everyone loves Claire Foy, so I have got the worst job in the world at the moment. You’re saying all the worst things, thanks!”

In the first few episodes, we see Queen Elizabeth facing a crumbling British economy, a new prime minister, the death of Winston Churchill, feelings of inadequacy when compared to her “dazzling” younger sisters, and a heartbreaking national tragedy in Wales. And that’s before we get into the lives of her two oldest children, Prince Charles and Princess Anne.

Needless to say, fans are stoked about The Crown‘s return, and they took to social media to rave. “I binge-watched #TheCrown and I have no regrets,” one person tweeted. “And Princess Anne! Unapologetically loving casual sex, giving zero f&%ks, throwing all the shade at her family, saving reputations, and giving her grandmother the public adoration she deserved.”

The Crown is currently in production on season four, which is when we will first meet Princess Diana. We can hardly wait.

I Tried Eyebrow Lamination, and I’m Obsessed: Brow Lamination Review

Sadly, the only photo I took the night of my service

Bella Cacciatore

It shouldn’t hurt.

If you haven’t tried microblading because of the pain factor, brow lamination is a great option. According to Richards, if you go to a licensed professional, you shouldn’t experience any irritation during the treatment, and it shouldn’t cause any damage to your brows. I had a forehead breakout before getting mine done, so I had a bit of itching after, but it quickly went away. If you have serious acne or sensitive skin, I would check with your derm, and as always, research, research, research before making an appointment. The treatment should last until your brow hairs grow out, which is about six weeks, and Richardson says not to get brow lamination more than once in that period.

It does take a little getting used to, but it’s worth it.

I’m not going to lie, the night I came home from my brow lift, I was convinced I had made a big mistake. Instead of looking like Cara Delevingne, I felt a little closer to Dan Levy. My already full brows had basically doubled in size (which could be life-changing for someone with smaller brows) and felt huge for my smaller features. This isn’t totally uncommon. “It might be a little overwhelming at first, like, ‘Oh, my God, I have a bang on my eyebrow,'” says Richardson. “But once you learn how to style them, it’s game-changing.” She also adds that if you’re truly unhappy, you can just brush them sideways instead of straight up.

I was pretty self-conscious of them for the next few days, but about four days in, something clicked. You really have to play around with brushing them—a combination up and over worked for me—to get them how you really want them to look, and I feel like they “settled in” and weren’t as stick-straight after a few days. I’m sure part of it was my brain getting used to them as well.

Bella after Brow Lamination

A week in and I’ve finally mastered my brows.

Bella Cacciatore

A week after my treatment, I’m actually super into the results. My brows somehow look more “done” and yet totally natural at the same time—very model-esque— and they really help pull the focus to my eyes. The brushed-up look and lifted arch make me look more awake, which is always a plus, and I only have to brush my brows into place once a day, which is the real saving grace for me. It also doesn’t hurt that I’ve collected at least one compliment a day on them, particularly from people in the beauty industry.

I honestly didn’t expect to love them as much as I now do, but I didn’t know just how much it could lift my whole face. Add in the fact that I no longer have to brush my brows into place everyday, and consider me hooked.

Everyone Is Obsessed with Shiv Roy’s Outfits from the ‘Succession’ Finale

There are many things that will be missed now that HBO’s Succession has wrapped up its masterful second season: super-rich people telling each other to “fuck off,” the shenanigans of Tom and Cousin Greg(ory), Roman and Gerri’s interesting dynamic, Kendall’s sad eyes. But I’ll especially miss Shiv’s phenomenal fashion.

The only daughter in the Roy clan had a serious sartorial glow-up in season two, and the Internet loved every second—to the point that there will surely be an uptick in turtleneck and high-waist pants this fall. (See our ranking of her best outfits here.) Coupled with a perfect bob haircut and a renewed desire to get back into the family business, Shiv was all about power moves this season. And as the family took to their massive yacht in the finale, Shiv’s vacation outfits did not disappoint.

If you thought Shiv would abandon her signature style just because she was headed to warmer climates, you’d be very wrong. My personal favorite was the creamy white high-waist number that was such perfect “rich lady on a gazillion-dollar ship.” Or maybe the blue halter look.

She also worked in some floral prints and a large sun hat. “Shiv Roy in boat clothes! #Succession,” one fan tweeted.

Social media was very much here for all of her outfits, really. “Shiv’s white outfit, I need it. #SuccessionHBO,” one person wrote. “Every outfit Shiv wears, I want it. I want the entire LOOK! Sarah is BAD!!!!!!! #SuccessionHBO,” another said. This tweet sums up the general sentiment: “Fuuuuuuck, the Succession finale was so good. Also I want every one of Shiv’s outfits in this episode, her styling was fantastic.”

Sidebar: Her character’s reading Sally Rooney’s Conversations with Friends was perfection too.

I cannot wait to see what the styling team brings for Shiv in season three with yet another shift in the family dynamics after that finale—but I’m fairly certain I’m going to love it.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte Are Reportedly as Obsessed With Baby Archie as We Are

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor may be one of the most famous babies in the world—his parents are out here sharing his milestones with the likes of Beyoncé and Jay-Z—but to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, he’s simply their adorable little cousin.

Us Weekly reports that George and Charlotte are especially taken with the newest member of the royal family. “They dote on him,” a source told the magazine. “Charlotte treats Meghan and Harry’s son like a little doll and is always asking after him.”

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle recently took all the kids to watch their fathers, Prince William and Prince Harry, play in a celebrity polo match—and from the photos, it looks like a good time was had by all. Even Prince Louis got in on the action, playing with his mom’s sunglasses and making faces for Aunt Meghan and Archie.

Us Weekly also reports that George, who will turn 6 on July 22, and Charlotte, 4, also include their little brother in playtime. But it sounds like Charlotte may be running the show. “Charlotte’s a bit of a tomboy and loves climbing and sports,” their source said. “Although Charlotte’s much bossier than George, she looks up to him. They squabble over small things like toys, but the majority of the time they get along.”

Recent reports indicate that the splitting of the royal households has eased whatever tension might have been present between the Cambridges and the Sussexes. Middleton and Markle, who have been the subject of many a tabloid headline about a “royal feud” are apparently getting closer, too. “They’re each a little more relaxed,” a source says. “They have more in common now.”

It’s not surprising, then, that the royal cousins are also bonding. Harry and William are famously tight with their own cousins—Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie. After all, who else could truly understand what growing up in the royal spotlight is actually like?

Star Nails Are the Trend L.A. Girls Are Obsessed With

If, like us, you’re guilty of trolling Instagram for hours looking for nail inspo, you’ve likely stumbled across art courtesy of Olive & June. From actually chic French manicures to ditsy florals and even llamas, the salon has had a hand in all of the season’s biggest nail trends. Since it’s opening in 2013, Olive & June has been the go-to salon for all of L.A.’s fashion girls and celebs (Lady Gaga stopped by earlier this year, NBD) and is well-loved for it’s minimal nail art and cozy environment. It’s so popular, in fact, the brand just launched its own line of nail polishes.

“Having fun with your mani is back in, especially telling a story across a few nails,” Olive & June founder Sarah Gibson Tuttle tells Glamour. But there’s been one style of nail art that she says has been particularly popular this summer: star nails. More specifically, a sprinkling of minimal, graphic stars on a crisp background color. It could be that we’re all so in tune with our horoscopes, or maybe left over spirit from the Fourth, but Tuttle has a more practical hunch: they’re low effort, high payoff.

The simple style is also relatively easy to do at home. Tuttle recommends starting with a clean summery polish color, like bright white (try Olive & June’s brand new HD). While you can freehand stars, the easiest and cleanest way is to use the brand’s star sticker packs, and then seal in with a top coat.

The placement is up to you, go for a random sprinkling of stars across a few fingers, one on each cuticle, or a cluster on a single finger for an unexpected accent nail.

If you’re not feeling star nails, Tuttle has also noticed that Evil Eyes and florals are having a moment as well, although they’re much harder to re-create at home.

Nail art not your thing? Tuttle notes that minimal nails have also been very popular at the salon this season. “Pretty manis are everything right now,” she says. “Our Nail Polish in GH has been one of our best sellers, and it’s a gorgeous shade of pink that feels right for any moment.” In addition to soft pink, she says sheer, barely there nude manis have also been a top request.
