The Bachelorette's Garrett Yrigoyen Explains Why He Followed Those Instagram Accounts in the First Place

Well, it’s official: Garrett Yrigoyen and Becca Kufrin are now engaged. Yes, the 29-year-old medical sales rep was the guy who ultimately won Kufrin’s heart on this season of The Bachelorette, but their courtship’s been plagued with controversy. Shortly after The Bachelorette premiered in May, an alumnus of the franchise, Ashley Spivey, posted several screen shots to Twitter claiming Yrigoyen had “liked” bigoted posts on Instagram—including one that accused a school shooting survivor of being a crisis actor. Another post Yrigoyen reportedly double-tapped mocked young boys who wear makeup, and a third made an insensitive comment about liberal women. News of this Instagram activity quickly went viral.

Yrigoyen’s since apologized for his “likes,” but why did he follow those accounts in the first place? (From the screen shots, it appears the posts came from several different accounts, including @the4thamerican and @mericasupplyco.)

“I originally followed that account because I’m a patriotic guy and I love my country and I support everybody in the military,” he tells Glamour.com. “That’s why I initially followed them.” He did not specify which account he’s referring to.

On the After the Final Rose special last night, Yrigoyen apologized for offending people. After, many fans on Twitter voiced their concern that he didn’t denounce the content of the posts he liked, but Yrigoyen tells Glamour.com he understands the criticism. “Oh yeah, once I understood it better, I was as well,” Yrigoyen said when we asked him if he was offended by the posts after he looked at them closely.

“I didn’t realize the effect of a double tap or like on Instagram, so I put out an apology,” Yrigoyen said on After the Final Rose. “I didn’t mean to offend anybody. I apologize for that still. I’m very sorry. I didn’t meant to hurt anybody’s feelings or do anything like that. So, I stand by everything that I posted in my apology.”

Bella Hadid and The Weeknd Are Once Again Blowing Up Each Other's Instagram Stories

It seems like just a couple of weeks ago that we saw Bella Hadid blowing up her ex The Weeknd’s Instagram Stories. Oh, wait—it was.

The two were on a vacation with friends in Tokyo, which led a ton of fans to believe that “Abella” was back on. (It wasn’t the first time such theories were floated either, thanks to a notable jar of pasta sauce in June—more on that here—and whispers of a reunion at Coachella in April.) Looks like it wasn’t to be the last: At Lollapalooza in Chicago this, ahem weekend, Hadid was all over The Weeknd’s Instagram Stories, and fans gathered on-the-ground evidence to fuel romance rumors.

Behold, a certain Abel Tesfaye (a.k.a. The Weeknd himself) made an appearance on Hadid’s stories, overlaid with the caption “sugar”. (If we’re going to read into this, nails that matched Hadid’s manicure appeared on The Weeknd’s Stories in June holding a sugar packet that read “Sugar Daddy.” Merely an observation.)

Next up, another blurry cameo on her Stories.

And fans at #Lollapalooza2018 said they spotted Hadid there too—right before The Weeknd performed.

Here is video:

And of course, it went both ways:

It must be said that the two have not confirmed that they’re dating—although Bella might have all the way back in June—so who really knows what’s happening here? Until official word confirms it, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more Abella sightings.

The Internet Is Freaking Out Over This Ultra-Candid Instagram Video of Beyoncé

To a wide swath of planet Earth, Beyoncé is a celestial being who towers over the rest of us mere mortals, casually doing things like making Coachella history, dominating events she didn’t even attend, and triggering applause for walking out of a room.

But every once in a while, she does something to remind us that under her carefully put-together image is a human. Case in point, this weekend: Much to the delight of the Beyhive, Beyoncé’s longtime friend Mally Roncal posted an Instagram video of Queen Bey caught in the relatable act of posing for a video that she thought was a photo.

In the clip, Roncal asks, “Who’s the most beautiful woman on the planet?” while Beyoncé shows off her best selfie-mode kiss-face. Quickly, she realizes that Roncal is shooting a video and starts cracking up. “Wait―this is a video? Sorry,” she says through laughter. “I’m over here making fish lips.”

Roncal captioned the photo by saying, “I met this Other Worldly Earth Angel when she was 19 years old and now, two marriages, 6 kids, countless makeup sessions, photo/video shoots, award ceremonies and 16 years between us, every time is see you it’s like yesterday! Thank you for your loving, kind, silly, inspiring spirit.”

Of course, fans freaked out about how shockingly normal the whole interaction seemed. They quickly turned to social media to gush about how much joy Bey’s single moment of confusion brought them.

“Cannot describe the way my heart rate LEAPS when I see a candid video of Beyoncé,” one person wrote. Someone else joked, “Beyonce invented ‘oh wait this is a video’ never heard it before today.”

It is not the first time Beyoncé has left her fans shook by doing something a regular person would do. She, at one point in human history, has held a juice box, visited Target, and worn $10 mascara.

Could it be that Beyoncé is (gasp) just like us? We can’t be sure—we’ll just have to wait for more evidence to emerge.

Ivanka Trump Just Called Karlie Kloss Her 'Sister' on Instagram

Karlie Kloss revealed on Instagram earlier this week that she and her longtime boyfriend, Joshua Kushner, are engaged, and fans have been celebrating in their comments sections ever since. Both Karlie and Joshua’s engagement posts are flooded with messages from well-wishers, friends, and family members—including Ivanka Trump, who’s married to Joshua’s brother, Jared.

Ivanka posted not one but two Instagram comments congratulating Joshua and Karlie on their engagement. The one she left on Joshua’s page is pretty standard: “So incredibly happy for you Josh,” she wrote. “You and Karlie are blessed to have found one another. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter + adventure for you both!”

But the comment she left on Karlie’s page has the Internet buzzing. “So, so happy for you and Josh,” she wrote. “I feel blessed to have you as a sister (!!!) Karlie and look forward to the decades of happy memories we will create together as a family!” Yes, you’re reading that second sentence correctly: Ivanka calls Karlie her sister.

Check out the comment for yourself, below:

Ivanka isn’t technically wrong; after Karlie marries Joshua, they will, in fact, be sister-in-laws. Even still, people have mixed emotions about her declaration. Below, just a few reactions from Twitter:

“I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over,” Karlie wrote in her original Instagram post announcing her engagement to Joshua.

She opened up about their relationship in W magazine earlier this year, too, saying, “I’m incredibly busy, but I love what I do, and my boyfriend’s incredibly busy, but he loves what he does too. I think it’s important to make time to be with your loved ones—to work hard, play hard. That’s the way I live my life.”

Pete Davidson Just Deleted All His Instagram Pics

UPDATE: July 23, 2018 at 5:13 P.M.— Pete Davidson took to Instagram Stories to explain why he deleted his posts. He says there’s nothing cryptic behind his decision and simply just wants to go off social media for a while.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande disabled comments on her Instagram and tweeted this:

ORIGINAL STORY:

Pete Davidson just deleted every single one of his Instagram posts. That’s right—all those adoring snaps of Ariana Grande? Gone. All the photographic evidence of his platinum blond phase? Lost forever—at least to us. As of Monday, July 23, 2018, the only thing that’s left on the comedian’s account is a video on his Story of Machine Gun Kelly having “arrived in Syracuse.” Otherwise, the entire page is blank.

It’s unclear why exactly Davidson decided to wipe his Instagram. The unexplained decision does, however, come just a day after he received quite a bit of criticism from some of Grande’s fans who misinterpreted a comment he left on one of her posts. As Teen Vogue reported, he commented “omg what a cutie” under a photo of Grande and her late grandfather, which she’d posted on the fourth anniversary of his death, prompting angry comments aplenty. Davidson clarified his intentions in a follow-up post, writing, “Are you guys all insane? I was talking about how cute her grandpa is. What’s wrong with that? You guys will really look for anything to attack people. It’s sad.”

This isn’t the only online hate that Davidson has received recently. Last week he was called “disrespectful” for giving the FDNY pendant of his late father, who was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack, to his fiancée (as is, obviously, his right). As if that weren’t enough, the poor guy was bashed again when another commenter called him out, thinking he had given the same gift to his ex Cazzie David. “Actually, I didn’t give that to my ex,” he replied. “Yes, she had one but it was a replica. I had a bunch of replicas made. My sister and grandpa also have one. The one that Ari has is the one my dad actually died in and the one he wore his entire career and the one I’ve worn for over 17 years. I’ve actually never taken it off other than for SNL or work. So it means a lot to me. Hope this helps. Please learn to be nicer and not to assume the worst in people. It’s a terrible way to live. Much love.”

It looks like people didn’t take his advice to heart.

Bella Hadid Was All Over The Weeknd's Instagram Story This Weekend

Instagram is the perfect place to see what’s going on with on-and-off celebrity couples, and let’s just say The Weeknd’s account has been quite telling lately. As preserved by Instagram account @bellahnews, Bella Hadid made plenty of cameos in her ex’s Instagram Stories on Sunday.

According to People, the two are currently on vacation with their friends in Tokyo, and the Stories in question were taken at the Robot Restaurant. In one, Bella can be seen sitting next to him and enjoying an onstage battle between two performers. In another, The Weeknd (né Abel Tesfaye) zooms in to a mirror, where he can be seen embracing Bella as they’re serenaded by their friends during karaoke. Then, there’s the picture on his account of him posing with two friends, which he credited to Bella in the caption.

Naturally, the comments are full of fans taking all these posts as confirmation that “Abella” is back on. These aren’t the only Instagram shenanigans that have led fans to jump to this conclusion. In June, the same jar of pasta sauce appeared in both of their Instagram posts, leading fans to speculate that they were having a dinner date (the paparazzi later took pictures of them hanging out in Paris). Then, in July, Abel was caught liking Bella’s bikini selfie. And a couple weeks later, Bella captioned one of her photos “as long as u know that when I land ur mine… ?,” which is a line from Abel’s 2013 song “Pretty.”

Of course, while these Instagram clues are certainly interesting, none of them mean anything concrete about Bella Hadid and The Weeknd’s relationship — neither of them has spoken publicly about whether they’re back together. Until they do, this is nothing more than “evidence” of two exes hanging out as friends and enjoying each other’s Instagram presence.
