Courteney Cox Is Binge-Watching Friends, and Her Thoughts Are Incredible


Courteney Cox is currently doing the same thing you’ve been doing for years before it left Netflix: She’s binge-watching Friends.

During Jimmy Kimmel’s latest at-home taping of his talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor behind Monica Gellar admitted she’s using the time she has on her hands due to the coronavirus pandemic to take a walk down memory lane. “I decided during this time—people love the show so much—I decided to binge-watch Friends,” she said.

It turns out, she would totally recommend it. “I just started season one. It’s really good,” she added. Really? I never would have guessed.

There’s also a practical reason for Cox’s latest marathon: She’s tired of failing at Friends trivia.

“I don’t even remember even being on the show. I have such a bad memory,” she told Kimmel. “I remember loving, obviously, everybody there, and having fun, and I remember certain times in my life that I was there. But I don’t remember episodes. I would never pass. I fail every test.”

Cox promised that by the end of her quarantine she’s going to know “so much more,” but Kimmel didn’t give her a chance to even get through season two before he quizzed her right then and there. He brought his cousin Anthony (a Friends superfan) into the chat to play against the person who just admitted they can’t remember what happened on their own show (to be fair, there are 236 episodes of content).

Kimmel tried to go easy on Cox by only asking questions related to Monica, but she still couldn’t even remember that Monica’s first kiss was with her brother. Seriously, who could forget that? “Ross was my first kiss? What episode was that?” Cox asked. (Season 10, Episode 11: “The One Where The Stripper Cries.” You’re welcome.)

While HBO Max’s highly-anticipated Friends special has delayed filming due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cox said the cast already had their own recent reunion. “We had a meeting except for David Schwimmer, who was in New York. So we were all in the same room, which was really fun,” Cox said.

Hopefully, by the time they all get back together to actually shoot the unscripted event, Courteney Cox will be all caught up with her trivia.

Lady Gaga Just Released Her New Song, ‘Stupid Love,’ and It's Incredible


Lady Gaga made her triumphant return to pop music on midnight Friday (February 28) with “Stupid Love,” her first solo single in nearly three years. And, my friends, it was well worth the wait.

The track is classic Gaga: big, bright, and booming, with eighties-style electronic production and an anthemic chorus. It’s a welcome return to form for the singer, whose last pop record, Joanne, was more stripped-down and acoustic than the shiny electro-dance of albums past. “Stupid Love” finds Gaga squarely back in club territory—it’s a song tailor-made for sweaty sing-alongs underneath a shimmery disco ball.

It’s also unlike anything on top 40 radio right now. Save for Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” the top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 is quite moody and downtempo—not a sugary bop in sight. If “Stupid Love” impacts radio (which fingers crossed it will), it could bring BPM and bombast back into pop. And who doesn’t need that right now?

The music video for “Stupid Love” is equally as colorful, starring Gaga as an alien princess of sorts who’s determined to bring love and light to her conflicted world. Watch the video (and hear the song) for yourself, below:

Gaga teased the video for “Stupid Love” earlier in the day on February 27. Again, the imagery—eccentric, over-the-top, and avant-garde—feels like classic Gaga.

The single art is equally as dynamic:

“Stupid Love” has had quite the journey. In January, a demo of the track leaked in full and quickly went viral. Fans loved it, and it was, confusingly, prematurely played in nightclubs, sporting events, and performed by drag queens. Gaga addressed the leak with a cheeky tweet essentially asking her Little Monsters to be patient:

But the wait for new music is over. Lady Gaga’s sixth studio album is on its way, though details and a release date are unknown at this time. Thank goodness “Stupid Love” is a supremely delicious jam that will keep us satiated for a while.

Super Bowl 2020 Halftime Show: Watch Jennifer Lopez and Shakira's Incredible Performance


Jennifer Lopez and Shakira headlined the Super Bowl 2020 halftime show, which happened Sunday, February 2, and they certainly did not disappoint. Both women are known for their impeccable, awe-inspiring showmanship: choreography, theatrics, an X-factor, the works. And they brought all of those elements to (arguably) the world’s biggest stage for 12 glorious minutes.

The performance was a seamless hybrid of Lopez and Shakira’s discographies. They performed songs both together and apart. And they didn’t miss a beat, either. That’s to be expected, of course: After all, they’re both total pros who have been in this business for decades. It’s no surprise they delivered one of the best halftime shows in recent memory.

Both Shakira and Lopez performed several of their greatest hits, including “She Wolf,” “Whenever, Wherever,” “Jenny From the Block,” “Let’s Get Loud,” and “On the Floor.”

Lopez and Shakira released the sweetest statements about each other when it was announced they’d be co-headlining the Super Bowl 2020 halftime show.

“I’m so honored to be taking on one of the world’s biggest stages in the company of a fellow female artist to represent Latinos and Latinas from the U.S. and all over the world—and to top it off, on my birthday. This is a true American dream and we are going to bring the show of a lifetime!” Shakira said, while Lopez added, ““Ever since I saw Diana Ross fly off into the sky at the halftime show, I dreamed of performing at the Super Bowl. And now it’s made even more special not only because it’s the NFL’s 100th anniversary, but also because I am performing with a fellow Latina. I can’t wait to show what us girls can do on the world’s biggest stage.”

This year has already been big for Lopez, who earned Golden Globe and SAG nominations for her performance in the movie Hustlers. Shakira, meanwhile, went on a world tour in 2018 that spanned 54 dates across Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America.

This Couple Had an Olive Garden-Themed Wedding, and the Pictures Are Incredible


Is there anything more magical than an Olive Garden breadstick bar at your wedding? Not for Samantha Roberts and Jeff Gilleland, a couple from Grand Rapids, Michigan, who got married this year after spending several years bonding over their shared love of Olive Garden. According to The Knot, Roberts grew up going to the chain with her family, while Gilleland fell for Olive Garden later in his adulthood. They often had date nights at the restaurant, so, naturally, they served its food at their wedding.

Olive Garden didn’t just feature prominently in the bride and groom’s wedding celebration; it played a huge role in their engagement story, too. According to The Knot, Gilleland had been one of 50 lucky customers who bought the restaurant’s limited and highly exclusive Pasta Passport to Italy, which offered purchasers an all-inclusive, one-week trip to Italy for just $200, along with an all-access pass to Olive Garden for a year. He and Roberts jetted off to Italy, where Gilleland eventually proposed. Later, there was a full-on Olive Garden-themed engagement photoshoot, but that was just a preview before the big event.

“When you love the chicken parm as much as we do, it becomes a pretty easy decision where to eat,” the couple told Insider about their love of Olive Garden.

Their wedding included dinner options for chicken parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo, and spaghetti. There was also a full breadstick bar set up with bowls and bowls of marinara sauce. And as if getting to attend this iconic wedding wasn’t enough, guests left with a very special wedding favor: never-ending pasta passes, which allows restaurant patrons to eat as much pasta as they want for nine weeks. Consider us jealous—and also very hungry.

Nike Released an Incredible Commercial After the U.S. Women's Team's World Cup Win


Following the U.S. Women’s National Team’s beautiful victory over the Netherlands in Sunday (July 7)’s World Cup final, Nike released a one-minute ad that pays tribute to the soccer champions while touting a message of empowerment for women and girls in sports.

The commercial is made up of images of athletes like Alex Morgan, Alyssa Naeher, and Tobin Heath, who just helped the U.S. cinch its fourth women’s World Cup win in a row. The ad features a single voice leading a crowd in the well-known “I Believe That We Will Win” sporting chant. However, the narration starts to trail into a different direction and settles into a powerful affirmation about just how historic the current team is—and how they’ve been working to change the course of history for other women.

“I believe that we will be four-time champions and keep winning until we not only become the best female soccer team, but the best soccer team in the world,” the voiceover declares. “I believe that we will be four-time champions and keep winning until we not only become the best female soccer team, but the best soccer team in the world, and that a whole generation of girls and boys will go out and play and say things like, ‘I want to be like Megan Rapinoe when I grow up,’ and that they’ll be inspired to talk and win and stand up for themselves.”

The ad coincides with not just the women’s impressive victory but also with the fight the team has led for equal pay. Several members of the team first filed a complaint with the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission in 2016, pointing out that they were paid less than their male counterparts on the U.S. Men’s National Team (who had consistently lost games at the time).

Although they signed a collective bargaining agreement that helped boost how much they made, the athletes have continued striving for a more equitable paycheck. In 2019, they officially sued the U.S. Soccer Federation and accused the institution of gender discrimination.

While any form of corporate feminism deserves critical inspection (especially as Nike deals with claims of pregnancy discrimination), the company’s ad does nod to the team’s equal pay lawsuit, and a quote at the end reflects the message that the women’s team has been pushing this entire time as they try to change massive institutional gender disparities.

“I believe that we will make our voices heard, and TV shows will be talking about us every single day and not just once every four years… And that we will keep fighting not just to make history, but to change it forever,” the ad continues. “This team wins. Everyone wins.”

Nick Jonas Arranged a Truly Incredible Anniversary Surprise for Priyanka Chopra


Singer Nick Jonas has probably earned himself some major points after surprising his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, with a chance to meet Mariah Carey backstage at her London concert this weekend. (Celebs getting giddy over meeting other celebs? Love.) The couple, who are celebrating the first anniversary of their first date together in their typically extra way, couldn’t be together for the relationship milestone, so the Jonas Brothers singer arranged a meeting between Chopra and her idol instead.

The Quantico actress shared a photo with the singer on Instagram, thanking Jonas for making her dreams comes true.

“The best husband ever,” the actress wrote. “Even though he was busy and we were apart, he made sure I celebrated our one year anniversary with my fave! The incomparable @mariahcarey #Mimi—you were amazing! So lovely meeting you and thank you for the incredible show… you will always be my baby @nickjonas Happy one year love!”

But in case you needed another reason to prove Jonas deserves the “Really Extra Husband” award, the 26-year-old also penned his wife the sweetest message on Instagram to mark the aforementioned anniversary. (That first date wasn’t at the 2017 Met Gala, by the way.)

“One year ago today I went to go see Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood bowl with a group of friends. One of those friends was the woman that would become my best friend, my confidant, my muse, my beautiful wife,” he wrote. “I am so grateful for our journey together so far. You make me smile every day and you inspire me to be the best version of myself. I am honored to be your husband. I love you.”

He shared the caption alongside a stunning Cannes photo of the two looking completely smitten by one another.

Considering how over-the-top Jonas and Chopra’s couples style is—and we mean that in the best way possible, of course—we didn’t expect anything less from the power couple. Safe to say, we can only imagine what Jonas is planning (has planned??) for their first wedding anniversary in December.
