What This Couple Did With Their Postponed Wedding Favors Will Make Your Day

What do you do if you have to postpone your wedding because of the coronavirus pandemic but now have your wedding favors—more than 100 chocolate bunnies—just sitting around ? You throw a bunny wedding, obviously!

Twitter user @thaispicytravel (whose actual name seems to be Mark) posted about this hilarious dilemma, which frankly gave me something to laugh about during this time of existential dread and uncertainty.

“So our wedding has been postponed for obvious reasons and we had 115 chocolate Lindt bunnies as wedding favors—time for a bunny wedding, of course,” he posted on March 25. The tweet included four actual photos of the ceremony, complete with a bride bunny in a veil, a groom bunny in a tie, rings, and an officiant with a teeny-tiny speech.

People on Twitter are living for the chocolate bunny wedding, and they’re coming in hot with the jokes. “If I was trapped in my house with 115 choc bunnies…well by now I would be trapped in my house with 2 or 3 choc bunnies,” one user responded.

“It’s such a struggle. We had to send them away…,” Mark wrote in reply.

Meanwhile, another user whose wedding plans have been put on hold has shared their leftover party favors, which were much less delicious than Lindt chocolate rabbits. (Sorry, it’s just the truth.)

“This could be a good thread. Cancelled weddings and share your [leftover] favors!” @bobbydav1986
shared. “We’ve got 26 bars of handmade soap to use now.” Actually, they may be in much better shape. We could all use more soap at the moment.

Mark replied that he’s sure many other couples are facing a similar dilemma right now. Lucky for him, he says, “Most of our family have (unsurprisingly) already graciously offered to take the bunnies off our hands…”

Save a couple for us.

'Love Is Blind' Didn't Show Us Every Couple Who Got Engaged

Love Is Blind, Netflix‘s latest foray into the world of reality programming, is the show that everyone’s talking about on your social media feeds—and with good reason.

If you haven’t yet watched, here’s the deal: 15 men and 15 women agreed to take part in a social experiment wherein they try to find a spouse without first seeing that person. In the early days of the show, the cast basically goes through rounds of speed dating where they sit in “pods” and get to know each other to find out if they’re possible soulmates, but they have no idea what they other person looks like. The men and women live in separate quarters where they often shared their feelings about who they were clicking with.

We get to see many of the Love Is Blind contestants get engaged within days of meeting each other—and at that point they are finally allowed to see each other and then jet off on a vacation in Mexico. Interestingly, though, viewers didn’t get to see all of the eight couples who got engaged.

Netflix

“We only have so much time to tell a story, but there are lots of interesting stories. There’s the guy, Rory who features in a couple of scenes,” series creator Chris Coelen told Entertainment Weekly. “He actually got engaged to a woman who you only see for a brief moment early on named Danielle. They were together for a little while and then they broke up and she ended up dating the guy who appears at the very beginning of the show, Matt. I think they were all curious. One of the things I love about the show is, ultimately, when they go on their romantic getaway, they do get to see what the other ones look like and Jessica gets to see Barnett in the flesh for the first time and you get to see whether that matters and if maybe she made the wrong choice. I love that element of the show and I think that in real life, they were all really curious to know what the others looked like.”

The entire show is quite a wild ride, but it must also be crazy to go through the process and have your love story edited out for time. Danielle certainly thinks so, based on her Instagram.

Love Is Blind is now streaming on Netflix.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Surprised a Couple Hiking in Canada and Took Their Picture

As royal fans know, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and baby Archie spent the past six weeks chilling together as a family, away from the spotlight. Reports eventually emerged that they celebrated the holidays on Vancouver Island, where they were spotted jogging, taking hikes, and hanging around town.

But one couple got a major surprise when the royals happened upon them on a hike. Picture it: You’re in a gorgeous setting and bust out your selfie stick to try to take a photo, but you’re struggling to get the shot because selfie sticks can be annoying that way. A nice person walking by offers to take it for you—and it turns out that person is the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, with Prince Harry standing nearby. Reader, I would probably pass out, but Iliya Pavlovic and Asymina Kantorowicz kept it together and shared their story with CTV News Vancouver Island.

“We noticed a group was standing nearby and they had two dogs, one of which was approaching us,” Kantorowicz said. “She starts asking if we want her to take a photo for us. We said sure. I didn’t see who she was at that time.” But she did notice another former Suits star Abigail Spencer with the group, which should have been a sign as she’s a close friend of the duchess.

“I thought she [Markle] looked familiar, but didn’t think it could actually be her,” she added. But very quickly, the couple realized just who exactly had offered to take their photo. “I froze up. I actually couldn’t believe who it was. Then I looked over to the side, and that’s when I realized Prince Harry was standing there. I kept looking back and forth like, ‘Is this actually happening?'”

Instagram/@SussexRoyal

“In that moment the only thing I could think to say, ‘There’s only so much that selfie sticks can do,'” Kantorowicz said. “She laughed and responded with something like, ‘We’ll have to do better,’ and then Harry said, ‘No pressure.'” A “very friendly” Markle then took a few photos. “She handed the phone back and said, ‘Happy New Year!’ and we said, ‘Thanks and happy New Year!'” Kantorowicz said. “Then we kind of turned to each other laughed and said, ‘Did that just happen?’ I still can’t believe it. It feels like a dream.” The Sussexes and their crew then headed off about their day.

This is the second photo by Markle to make headlines during their trip. It was also confirmed that she took the adorable shot, above, of her husband and son, which was released on the Sussex Royal Instagram ahead of the new year.

Oh, how we love relatable royals.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Cutest Couple Moments of 2019

It’s been quite the year for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. They welcomed their first child, Archie, went on a royal tour of southern Africa, launched a battle with the tabloids, and, oh yeah, casually met Beyoncé. Truthfully, it was all just in a year’s work for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are currently taking a well-deserved break out of the spotlight for the holidays.

While Meghan and Harry are kicking back, we figured it’d be fun to go through their cutest moments of the year—both as a couple and new parents. We already know parenthood has profoundly impacted the both of them. “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. This Couple Had an Olive Garden-Themed Wedding, and the Pictures Are Incredible

Is there anything more magical than an Olive Garden breadstick bar at your wedding? Not for Samantha Roberts and Jeff Gilleland, a couple from Grand Rapids, Michigan, who got married this year after spending several years bonding over their shared love of Olive Garden. According to The Knot, Roberts grew up going to the chain with her family, while Gilleland fell for Olive Garden later in his adulthood. They often had date nights at the restaurant, so, naturally, they served its food at their wedding.

Olive Garden didn’t just feature prominently in the bride and groom’s wedding celebration; it played a huge role in their engagement story, too. According to The Knot, Gilleland had been one of 50 lucky customers who bought the restaurant’s limited and highly exclusive Pasta Passport to Italy, which offered purchasers an all-inclusive, one-week trip to Italy for just $200, along with an all-access pass to Olive Garden for a year. He and Roberts jetted off to Italy, where Gilleland eventually proposed. Later, there was a full-on Olive Garden-themed engagement photoshoot, but that was just a preview before the big event.

“When you love the chicken parm as much as we do, it becomes a pretty easy decision where to eat,” the couple told Insider about their love of Olive Garden.

Their wedding included dinner options for chicken parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo, and spaghetti. There was also a full breadstick bar set up with bowls and bowls of marinara sauce. And as if getting to attend this iconic wedding wasn’t enough, guests left with a very special wedding favor: never-ending pasta passes, which allows restaurant patrons to eat as much pasta as they want for nine weeks. Consider us jealous—and also very hungry.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s Best Couple Moments

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth threw everyone for a loop back in December when they confirmed they had secretly tied the knot. Well, it wasn’t that much of a surprise, when you think about it. The two dated nearly a decade, after all, and news or rumors of an engagement existed for basically half that time.

Whether or not you saw this coming, the actual photos of Hemsworth and Cyrus’ low-key wedding have been breaking the Internet for weeks. That’s probably because Cyrus keeps updating her Instagram with more pics from the day. Regardless, there’s a resurged interest in Cyrus and Hemsworth’s relationship—that’s undeniable.

And one thing that keeps fueling it? All the funny things both Cyrus and Hemsworth post about married life. They’ve been husband and wife for over two months, but the honeymoon stage is still very strong. Let’s have a look at all the hilarious—and, yes, cute—things these two have done since saying, “I do.”

Let’s start with this amazing video Cyrus posted for Hemsworth’s birthday. He’s getting his life—and she’s getting hers by watching him.

But this kooky post led to an actually sweet tribute. “L, HBD to my #1 … When we met, you were 19. Today you are 29…,” she wrote on Instagram back in January. “…I love the way we speak in our own language. Sometimes with just a look. I love laying on the couch eating Chinese when we’re hung over from the night before. I love going to a random party and remembering basically everyone is fake AF out here and how lucky I am to share a life with someone so REAL.”

Their 10-year challenge post was iconic, obviously. Awww. This makes me think of The Last Song.

They made their first public appearance together in late January at the G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles. And looked fire, of course.

At the event, Cyrus had the most priceless reaction to Hemsworth calling her his “beautiful wife.” Watch it for yourself, below.

Two weeks later, Cyrus went to the premiere of Hemsworth’s movie Isn’t It Romantic by herself because he was sick. “I am proud to represent him and his incredible work,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “So happy to see him shining in this comedy! He is the funniest person I know , and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day.”

Then, on Valentine’s Day, she shared even more photos of her gorgeous wedding. This one, below, is a whole mood.

But don’t think she went through all of V-Day without cracking some jokes. She literally kicked off the day by posting this A+ meme and tagging Hemsworth.

As for Hemsworth’s Valentine’s post, he went with this throwback pranking video. He pranks Cyrus all the time—and promises to keep doing it, even in marriage.

In between all these posts, there have been some sweet soundbites too. Like Hemsworth talking about why Cyrus decided to take his name after they married. “She took my name, which was great,” Hemsworth said on Live With Kelly and Ryan. “I think that was honestly one of the best things about it. I didn’t ask her to take my name, and then she’s like, ‘No, of course I’ll take your name.’ And I’m like, ‘That’s awesome. That’s really good. Thank you.’”

He also revealed when he knew the time was right to get married. “We’ve been through so much together over the last 10 years, so [I] felt like it was time,” Hemsworth said in an interview with Today. “I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person.”

And get this: Their relationship almost didn’t happen. Yet another thing we learned from Hemsworth’s post-wedding interviews. It turns out he wasn’t the first choice to play Cyrus’ love interest in 2010’s The Last Song , which is where they first met. “My agent calls me, like, whispering, like, ‘You’ve got to go to Disney right now. It’s not working out with the other guy,’” he also said on Today. “’You’ve got to go in and read with Miley again’…I come in and everyone starts clapping like, ‘We should have gone with you first!'”
