Serena Williams Celebrates Two-Year Wedding Anniversary to Alexis Ohanian With Sweet Instagram Posts

It’s been two years since Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian tied the knot in a gorgeous New Orleans wedding attended by everyone from Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé. This week, they celebrated their anniversary with a bunch of super sweet, gushy Instagram posts that illustrated how tight-knit their bond is. But they also added one very unexpected and relatable twist to the festivities: They took a trip to Popeyes to try the highly-coveted new chicken sandwich, solidifying their place as one of our favorite couples ever.

Williams uploaded a cute, never-before-seen shot of the two of them on their wedding day, writing, “2 years and counting…. @alexisohanian is still putting putting up with me.” Later, she added a photo slideshow that chronicles their moments dating and becoming parents together, setting it to music and writing in the caption, “2 years and counting happy anniversary my love.”

But it was on her Instagram stories that Williams revealed their fast-food anniversary journey. “I did not want to try it,” she joked in one slide. “But it’s my anniversary … This is a no judgement me zone.” She then shared a video of Ohanian walking toward her car with a bag of Popeyes in his hand, explaining to her that the chain had the sandwich but they had run out of pickles. The next few clips features Williams saying, “Oh my God,” as she enjoyed the sandwich. Ohanian asks her how it is a few times before Williams finally cracks, “Have I known life before this day?” This is pretty much the wedding anniversary of our dreams.

Ohanian also celebrated their big day on social media by sharing a photo of the couple posing near a decorated swing. “Celebrating 2 years with my ride or die @serenawilliams ? always ready for the next black tie event … Or Netflix & Chill night in,” he captioned the image.

The Reddit co-founder previously wrote about the success of their marriage for Glamour, explaining that for him, the most important lesson is that “you have to show up” for the person that you love. Pretty sure it makes things even better when you show up—and bring a Popeyes sandwich with you.

Barack and Michelle Obama’s Anniversary Messages Are the Energy We All Need Right Now

The internet has been…a dismal place, a heat wave hit a huge swath of the country in October, the president of the United States tweeted 14 times before 8 a.m., and it was dark outside when I woke up this morning. Let’s be honest: Americans are on edge.

Enter Barack and Michelle Obama to brighten this bleak moment with their glorious love for each other. Today the former POTUS and FLOTUS celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary. And because they knew we needed it, they let us in on a sliver of their joy. It’s all deeply adorable and the truest of #relationshipgoals.

Let’s start with President Obama, who is completely unafraid to call his wife “babe” in front of the whole wide world. “Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time. Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a sweet photo of the couple watching the sun set over a beautiful vista.

For her part, the former FLOTUS reflected on the newest stage in their lives, with daughters Malia and Sasha both now in college. “27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure,” she wrote. “I’d say he’s delivered. Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack. ?” And just look at the smiles on those crazy kids.

The photos represent the kind of sweet, simple gesture that could make a person believe in love again, or at least decide not all of social media is hot trash.

Happy anniversary—and thanks for the good vibes.

The Friends Cast Celebrated the Show's 25th Anniversary in the Sweetest Way

It’s hard to believe, but this month marks the 25th anniversary of Friends. And to celebrate, the cast members who are on Instagram posted touching throwback shots from the show’s early days. Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc each shared the same photo, which depicts the beloved group walking down the street in evening wear. They used the opportunity to thank their fans for loving and supporting the sitcom for more than two decades.

“Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. Thank you to all of our loyal fans across the world. You’ve certainly been there for us! I love these guys!” Cox wrote. She also teased Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry for not having social media: “#seriouslyjen? #youtoomatthew.” Kudrow made a similar joke in hers: “Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. We might be in different places but we are connect.ed. #STILLTHEREFORYOU #FRIENDS #friends25thanniversary #TWITTER@MATTHEWPERRY #COMEONALREADYJEN.”

Meanwhile, LeBlanc wrote, “Seems like yesterday. Thanks to all the fans for watching.” And Schwimmer added, “THANK YOU to all the fans out there!! We couldn’t have done it without you.”

These joint posts coincide with a few other recent tributes to Friends. Just this week, Ralph Lauren dropped a collection inspired by Aniston’s character Rachel Green. Over the summer, there was also some buzz that a Friends reunion could happen; Aniston got our hopes up when she said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, “Listen, I told you this: I would do it. The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I’m sure.”

We’re crossing our fingers, especially because we learned in June that Friends is leaving Netflix in 2020. So, if these posts gave you serious nostalgia, be sure to stream your favorite episodes while they’re still available on the site.

Chrissy Teigen's Anniversary Tribute to John Legend Is Peak Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary on Saturday (September 14)—and to mark the occasion, the Cravings author shared a tribute to her husband on social media, just like she does every year. And no, her tributes aren’t the usual sappy stuff—who can forget last year’s, when she straight-up called him an asshole? (But, you know, in a loving way.) This year, however, Teigen out-Teigened herself for her most relatable, most Chrissy post yet.

This year, she showed fans exactly what it’s like to be in a committed, loving, years-long relationship by sharing a candid photo, timestamped from Saturday, showing the two in a super-fancy hotel room. But there’s no lovey-dovey moment going on here: Teigen’s slumped in a chair, appearing to sleep with a pair of sunglasses on, while Legend is behind her, engrossed in something on his computer screen. True love at its realest.

“happy anniversary, baby!!!” Teigen captioned the shot.

But it seems things picked up from there: Teigen also showed her followers a glimpse into her anniversary celebrations, which consisted of jetting off to Paris for a one-day romantic getaway. She shared a video on Twitter that opens with a shot of a massive bouquet of flowers before panning to Teigen, who’s sitting in a chair getting her hair and makeup done.

“What the fuck am I even supposed to do with that?” she jokingly says, referring to the flowers.

Legend later responded to the tweet a bit more poetically, writing, “Our love is impeccable and impractical.”

The couple, who have been together for more than 12 years now and continue to define #RelationshipGoals, got married in a romantic ceremony in Lake Como, Italy back in 2013. And it turns out, the two took their dating relationship back in the day to the next level in a very Teigen way, too: As she tweeted earlier this year, “I didn’t date much. I moved in with people. like hello, I live here now. this is how John ended up in this situation.” Gotta love these two—happy anniversary to the lovebirds!

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade's Anniversary Trip Is All Kinds of Goals

As far as celebrity power couples go, you’d be hard pressed to find one who seem to have as much fun as actress Gabrielle Union and her husband, former NBA superstar Dwyane Wade.

These two are the definition of living their best lives, and luckily for us, they’re fond of sharing the good times on their social media channels. Actually, Union and Wade are also super open about the tougher times in their marriage—like their struggles with infertility before having daughter Kaavia James via a surrogate—which makes the celebrations even more joyous to see.

Do some of their posts inspire insane vacation envy? Sure, but we can live with that. The couple even has a hashtag for the frequent travels: #WayneWorldTour. The latest fabulous trip is a celebration of the Union and Wade’s fifth wedding anniversary, and they’re living it up with friends on a yacht in the Mediterranean.

To kick it off, they both shared sweet anniversary posts to each other. “I had THE best time at our wedding and I’ve been smiling ever since. To see this video & so many of our loved ones & all the fun we had…man, we partied till the sun came up. 8-30-2014
If you were there, tell the tale in the comments ❤?❤,” Union wrote on Instagram.

“The first 5 rounds was light bring on the next 5‼️ Happy 5th anniversary @gabunion ?,” Wade echoed.

Then it was off to live that jet-set life—where it looks like Wade might be giving Alex Rodriguez a run for his title of “Best Instagram Husband Who Used to Play Professional Sports.”

‘Friends’ Is Coming to the Big Screen for Its 25th Anniversary

When Friends first debuted on NBC almost 25 years ago, it was pretty much an instant hit. Millions upon millions tuned in every week to see what Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Joey, and Chandler were up to in New York City. You have to remember this was a time before DVRs and streaming services, so the show was definitely appointment television.

The cast—Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry—became household names overnight. And now, all these years later, the show is just as popular as ever thanks to new generations of viewers’ discovering the Central Perk gang on Netflix.

To celebrate the show’s big anniversary and long-lasting popularity, Friends will be appearing on the big screen. According to Entertainment Weekly, on September 23, September 28, and October 2, more than 1,000 theaters across the United States will feature four episodes per night. Not only that, the screenings will feature exclusive new interviews and never-before-seen content.

Cue us jumping around the room like Phoebe and Rachel when they’re trying to distract Ross from finding out about Chandler and Monica.

“The cultural impact that Friends continues to have, 25 years after its premiere, is astounding, a true testament to the genius of Marta Kauffman, David Crane, Kevin Bright, and the incredibly talented cast,” Warner Bros. Television Group president and chief marketing officer Lisa Gregorian told EW. “It is so amazing to know that the series is still bringing people of all ages together. We could not be more excited to deliver these digitally remastered episodes to theaters—for the first time ever!—so that together, in a shared experience, our loyal fans can enjoy some of their favorite Friends scenes in a new way.”
