Rihanna Made an Undercover Visit to a Winter Market in London and No One Noticed


Earlier this year, global music and fashion phenomenon Rihanna revealed to T Magazine that she had quietly moved to London. She explained to the outlet that she frequently goes on walks around the city, but she tries to “keep it a little incognito.” And now, thanks to Instagram Stories, we have an idea of just how covert the siner can be when she wants to skirt by the London paparazzi.

The Daily Mail reports that earlier this week Rihanna paid a visit to “Winter Wonderland,” a seasonal market in London’s Hyde Park. The visit wasn’t noticed by market goers or members of Rihanna’s Navy at the time—the visit only came to light after Rihanna’s assistant, Tina Truong, posted about their trip on Instagram Stories.

In videos published by The Daily Mail and the Rihanna Twitter fan account @FentyStats, Truong follows Rihanna—who wears an oversized black coat with the hood pulled up—through a packed crowd at the Winter Wonderland. The singer also concealed her face with a black scarf so just her eyes were peaking out. Considering Rihanna loves nothing more than wearing enormous coats, the look is both a disguise and an on-brand fashion moment.

Rihanna’s undercover trip ultimately was just for a snack run. At one point in the videos, Truong loses track of Rihanna and finds her again at a hot dog stand. “Lmaooo found her y’all,” Truong wrote on the video. In it, Rihanna can be seen giggling and holding her hot dog out to Truong for a bite. Celebrities: They’ll risk it all for a holiday hot dog, just like us.

Hiding under coats and scarves isn’t the only thing keeping Rihanna from being spotted by fans these days—she’s simply been busy. Earlier this month, the singer took home her first British Fashion Award, the Urban Luxe award, for Fenty. And she’s also apparently holding on to a new album, which she’s cryptically referred to as R9. But on Instagram this week, Rihanna said she’s “refusing to release it.” We clearly need a Christmas miracle.

Ellen DeGeneres Has a Sweet Story About Her Visit With Meghan, Harry, and Baby Archie


Ellen DeGeneres paid a visit to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in London over the summer, and she has the—no joke—sweetest story about baby Archie.

The talk show host told her studio audience about the visit on Monday, September 9. “They are so amazing—the cutest couple and so down to Earth,” DeGeneres said of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. “I hate it—I see them get attacked, and it’s not fair. They’re just two of the most down-to-Earth, compassionate people. They’re doing so much good work.”

DeGeneres is no-doubt referring to the wave of criticism Meghan Markle and Prince Harry received last week for chartering a private jet on their vacation, which some view as contradicting their stance on environmentalism. DeGeneres was one of the first celebrities to come to the couple’s defense. “Portia and I met Prince Harry and Meghan in England to talk about their work on wildlife conservation…Imagine being attacked for everything you do, when all you’re trying to do is make the world better,” she wrote on Instagram August 19.

What DeGeneres said on her talk show this week echoes that sentiment. “Portia and I talked to them about all the conservation they’re doing for wildlife,” she said. “They’re doing all this work in Botswana for elephants, and I love that. And they like what I’m doing for the gorillas in Rwanda. So we’re all going to do something together.”

Then, she told the anecdote to end all anecdotes about meeting Archie for the first time. “I can’t tell you how sweet they are, but the most important thing is I got to hold little Archie, the baby. I fed Archie. I held Archie.”

Megan Rapinoe Won’t Visit the White House if the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Wins the World Cup

On Friday evening (June 29), following the U.S. Women’s soccer team’s victory over France in the FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinals, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez invited U.S. co-captain Megan Rapinoe and her fellow teammates to the House of Representatives for a tour. “It may not be the White House, but we’d be happy to welcome @mPinoe & the entire #USWMNT for a tour of the House of Representatives anytime they’d like. ??,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

And it looks like the team is down: “Consider it done @AOC,” Rapinoe responded, adding a celebratory emoji.

The U.S. Women’s soccer team is currently battling it out in the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The team just made it to the quarterfinals, but their success in the tournament wasn’t what made headlines on Wednesday (June 26); instead a social media frenzy exploded around co-captain Megan Rapinoe’s recent comments.

When asked whether she was excited to go to the White House (if the team does indeed take the tournament) by a reporter from the outlet Eight by Eight, she responded, “I’m not going to the fucking White House.” She then added, “We’re not gonna be invited…. I doubt it.”

For context, Rapinoe’s reaction is in keeping with her past political statements. She’s been an outspoken critic of President Trump and was one of the first white players to join Colin Kaepernick and other footballers in taking a knee during the national anthem back in 2016. Rapinoe is also part of her team’s discrimination lawsuit against U.S. Soccer.

Later on Wednesday morning, Trump responded to Rapinoe’s comments in a series of three tweets. “Women’s soccer player, @mPinoe, just stated that she is ‘not going to the F…ing White House if we win.’ Other than the NBA, which now refuses to call owners, owners (please explain that I just got Criminal Justice Reform passed, Black unemployment is at the lowest level…in our Country’s history, and the poverty index is also best number EVER), leagues and teams love coming to the White House. I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job! We haven’t yet….invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!”

While Rapinoe has yet to speak out about Trump’s tweets, many others have taken to social media about his remarks. Adam Serwer, a staff writer at The Atlantic, wrote, “Trump is now going after Megan Rapinoe because the ‘f**k your feelings’ president flips out when members of groups targeted by his policies criticize him rather than knowing their place. I might add that for all the thoroughly insincere ‘free speech’ rhetoric from his supporters, Trump most frequently deploys his authority as head of state to chill criticism of himself. Like it’s not even close.”

Journalist Jemele Hill also came out in support of Rapinoe. “So as I’ve said previously about @mPinoe: Given this administration’s attitude toward the LGBTQ community (which they’ve enacted into policy), how do people not understand why she is upset,” Hill tweeted.

But some applauded Trump for inviting the team to the White House in the midst of his tweets. “Megan Rapinoe insults the president and the president still invites the US Women’s Soccer team to the White House win or lose after the World Cup. This is a big win for Trump. He makes Rapinoe look small here,” wrote Fox Sports Radio host Clay Travis.

Rapinoe isn’t the first athlete to decline an invitation to visit Trump’s White House. Last year, after the Golden State Warriors won the NBA title, the team opted out of meeting with the president.

Chrissy Teigen Got Mommy-Shamed Over Luna's First Visit to the Dentist


We should know by now that Chrissy Teigen is not one to mess with when it comes to mommy-shaming. In the past, she’s expertly skewered her social media haters with the click of a button, and on Tuesday she struck again after trolls gave her a hard time about Luna’s dentist appointment.

Earlier this week Teigen shared a video of her daughter’s visit to the dentist’s office and captioned it, “So proud of my toons at her first dentist appointment!!” It didn’t take long for the hate to roll in. One person commented, “What age do they start over there? My daughter started seeing a dentist at a yr old.” But Teigen swiftly hit back: “Was waiting for this. U guys never fail me.”

This isn’t even the first time this month that Teigen has had to clap back at snarky comments. A few weeks ago, she posted an adorable clip of Luna asking her for candy (and showing off some impressive negotiation skills.) One person used the sweet moment to take aim at Luna’s locks, remarking, “Finally someone brushed her hair.” Teigen quipped, “All by herself! Maybe she can come do your makeup.” Zing.

As quick as she’s gotten with the comebacks, Chrissy Teigen told Glamour recently she’s learned to handle criticism better and now takes a minute before letting something get to her.

“I’ve noticed that I’m really sensitive if I read Twitter first thing in the morning, so I let myself breathe for a little bit,” she said. “Then the same comment won’t affect me the same way in the afternoon. President Trump Reportedly Called Meghan Markle 'Nasty' Ahead of Royal Visit


President Donald Trump is set to visit the United Kingdom, Ireland, and France next week, and in advance of his Monday arrival in London, he sat down with British tabloid The Sun for a wide-ranging chat—including his thoughts on Meghan Markle.

During the interview, Trump spoke to The Sun about his upcoming visit on Monday to Buckingham Palace. Although he’ll meet again with the Queen—and multiple other members of the royal family during scheduled events like lunch with Prince Harry—Markle reportedly won’t be joining.

Of course, Markle’s still officially on her maternity leave. However, in 2016, before she became a royal, she also spoke out about her dislike for Trump and his politics, calling him “misogynistic” and “divisive.”

During his latest interview with The Sun, the reporter told Trump about what Markle said in her old interview. According to the tabloid, Trump replied, “I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty.”

Trump also said he thought she would be “very good” in her role in the Royal Family. However, he apparently wasn’t aware he wouldn’t be meeting her at Buckingham next week until his interviewer told him. The President mentioned too that he’d be bringing Ivanka, Eric, Donald Junior, and Tiffany with him because he wants them to hold a “next-generation” meeting with Prince William and Prince Harry.

Trump also spoke about meeting the Queen again, after a 2018 visit in which he reportedly broke royal protocol not just once but a few times (he kept her waiting for 15 minutes and walked in front of her after forgetting to bow to her). “It will be great seeing the Queen for the second time,” he said. “We had a very good talk the first one. We had a lot of interesting things to say. It really was a great visit. My mother also loved the Queen.”

Serena Williams Paid a Secret Visit to Meet Meghan Markle's Baby Archie


The littlest royal isn’t even a month old yet, and he’s already been visited by some of the most famous people in the world—one of which includes Meghan Markle‘s close friend Serena Williams. The tennis star paid a surprise visit to the Frogmore Cottage last week to see Markle and Prince Harry and to meet baby Archie for the first time.

According to The Daily Mail, Williams was joined by her husband Alexis Ohanian and 1-year-old daughter Olympia. After the visit, the family continued on to Paris, where the pro will compete in the French Open.

Williams, who is among the first of Markle’s friends to meet baby Archie, also posted a photo of herself on Instagram last week during her visit. Although it’s unclear if the pic was taken in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s home, we gotta say: Things are looking pretty regal.

Following baby Archie’s arrival, there have been rumors swirling about who his godparents will be. Harry and Markle have yet to announce their decision, and since Prince William and Kate Middleton are unlikely to be the baby’s godparents, there’s been a lot of speculation about who will take on the important role. One rumored contender for the role of godmother is Markle’s close friend and maid of honor, Jessica Mulroney, who reportedly also visited the newest member of the royal family last week with her daughter Ivy. Williams definitely seems to be in the running as well: After meeting in 2014, she and the Duchess have remained incredibly close—not to mention Williams also helped organize Markle’s lavish baby shower at the ritzy Mark Hotel in New York City in February, which is, um, a very godmotherly thing to do.

Back in September, Williams also revealed the two had been in touch more than ever. “We were actually just texting each other this morning,” she told Australia’s “The Sunday Project.” “We have known each other for a long time, but we really are relying on each other a lot recently.”

No matter who winds up being godmother—and it’s not a competition—either of these royal-adjacent ladies is just lucky to have met Archie and hold the newest royal addition. Those cheeks!
