How Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Are Spending Their Time in Quarantine

As people adjust to the new normal of self-isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic, we’re also getting insight into the quarantine lives of celebrities, such as Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

Reynolds was a guest (via video chat) on The Late Night Show With Stephen Colbert on April 1 and let the world in on how he and Lively are spending this time with their three daughters—and Lively’s mom, who is there as well. “We’re doing a lot of home-schooling. We’re lucky enough to have a little, tiny garden, so we’re learning a little bit about gardening. We’re trying to make this an educational experience,” he said. “But I’m mostly drinking.” Given that Reynolds owns a liquor brand, Aviation Gin, we’re guessing he won’t be running out any time soon.

“I do not miss masculine company at all,” he said of being in a house with all women. “Really, most men tend to just be the architects of someone’s demise. So it’s fine. I like just being here with the girls. I like doing the girls’ stuff,” he continued. “Like, I try not to push sort of gender normative ideas on my kids as they’re born, but each one as soon as they came out of the chute, they wanted to make dresses, they wanted to dress in hot pink all day. That’s what I’’ve been doing. This morning we made dresses out of tissue paper, which was fun for them. This is what we’re doing! We’re developing the skills that will take us into the new world.”

Like so many of us, Reynolds is overdue for a haircut and apparently Lively is going to take over those grooming duties—and we’d love if they shared this moment on Instagram. “Tomorrow, Blake is going to give me a haircut,” he said. “She did this once before. It took two-and-a-half hours. And then at the end it looked like she had done the whole thing using only a lighter or, like, those gloves that are made of sand paper. It would have been a little faster if she had just rubbed my head until the hair disappeared.”

Ryan Reynolds also stressed the importance of giving back if you are able. He and Blake Lively generously donated $1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada early on in the crisis. “I’m not really in the business of telling people what to do, necessarily, but I do think it’s incumbent upon those who can give back to do so,” he said. “Particularly at a time like this.”

Now's the Time To Learn How to Sext: 23 Sexting Examples & Tips

Sexting example: “Tell me how the sound of my voice makes you feel.”

12. Make up a scenario.

Although creativity does score points when it comes to sexting, making up a scenario doesn’t have to be complicated, according to Stubbs. Even tossing out there the possibility of you just showing up at their house as a surprise can feel exciting.

Sexting example: “What would you do if I showed up at your house in nothing but a trench coat right now?”

13. Realize this could be practice for the real deal.

If you’re sexting with someone you’ve recently met on an app but haven’t been able to meet IRL, you could be practicing for the real deal—if you do want to meet after all this. This practice allows you to know each other intimately before that first, potentially awkward date.

Sexting example: “I guess if dinner and drinks feels awkward, we already know what we want in bed. Tell me again what you’ll do to me first?”

14. Take turns being the narrator.

“At its most basic, there are two central roles that you can take while talking dirty: the director and the narrator,” says Corrado. “The director is someone who is doing the telling, while the narrator is describing what is happening around them.” One role might feel more comfortable to you and to your partner, so you just might fall into them naturally. But this doesn’t mean you can’t switch it up.

Example of director: “I want you to use your vibrator on your clit, but you can’t come until I say so.”

Example of narrator: “I love it when you tease me that way.”

15. Get creative with language.

Honestly, there’s only so many times you can say “pussy” or “cock” before it wears thin. That’s why, according to O’Reilly, creative language is a must. “Consider crafting your messages with broad and vivid vocabulary,” she says.

Sexting example: “I wish you were here to feel how wet my treasure trove is.”

16. Keep the conversation going.

There’s nothing worse than getting all hot and bothered and then there’s a lull. Like, WTF. “Engage and try not to be unresponsive during moments when the sexting is consistent,” Saynt says. “There’s nothing worse than someone losing interest or getting distracted on either side, so try to be there for your partner and be sure to call them out when they seem to not be there for you.”

Sexting example: “I’m not sure where you went, but if you haven’t come yet, let’s work on that together.”

17. Get all five senses involved.

“Your sexting partner isn’t there with you, so they only have your words (and their imagination) to figure out what’s going on,” Corrado says. “If you’re describing to them the ways that you’re touching yourself, make it a sensory experience.” According to Corrado, you want the person you’re sexting to feel like they’re right there, seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling, and tasting it all.

Sexting example: “The leather chair I’m sitting in feels so good on my skin right now.”

18. Role-play.

It’s exhausting always being the same person, isn’t it? Stubbs suggests setting up a role-play situation. This is another place where you can let your mind run wild. Did you just receive a text from a stranger that must orgasm ASAP to save the planet?! It’s totally okay to be silly while sexting!

Sexting example: “You don’t know me, but I’m from Venus and I’ve been given your number to make you wetter than you’ve ever been before.”

19. Communicate what you want.

Unless your sexting partner is a mind reader—or you’ve been together that long, you’re going to have to communicate and maybe even steer the direction of the sexting. “Want your partner to engage in a little fantasy play? Looking to have them say dirty things to you? Communicate what you want and ask for all the naughty things you know you deserve,” Saynt says. “Most likely your partner will be down to comply with giving you exactly what you’re looking for.”

Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, and Their Kids Are Filming Dance Videos to Pass the Time

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are just like us. They too are social distancing and staying at home to slow the spread of coronavirus. Naturally, they have a lot more time on their hands, and they’re spending some of it filming iconic dancing videos with their kids (Emme, Max, Natasha, and Ella).

Case in point: this new clip Rodriguez posted on Instagram of him, J. Lo, and the whole fam. “Worst to best ?❤️,” he wrote in the caption. He kicks things off and J.Lo, of course, is the encore. Watch the video for yourself, below:

Talent definitely seems to run in this family. Emme, whose father is superstar Marc Anthony, performed on stage with her mom during this year’s Super Bowl and blew everyone away with her voice and poise. Those pipes!

Earlier last week, Lopez posted a funny video of her son, Max, delivering drinks. “We can’t go out to any restaurants or anything but the service and entertainment here is pretty good…? #StaySafe #familytime,” she wrote on Instagram.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have not said anything yet about their upcoming wedding. (The couple announced their engagement in March 2019. They’ve been dating publicly since February 2017.) According to reports, they were set to wed this summer. But given the uncertainty of what the next few months will look like in the United States, it’s unclear at this point if the nuptials will be postponed

In the meantime, we are very much looking forward to more dance videos from this fun-loving family. Maybe J.Lo can post some tutorials of the dances from some of her most famous videos, like “Jenny From the Block.” #JLoChallenge, anyone? With all this time at home, I should be able to master at least one combination of choreography, right? Right?!

Every Time Kate Middleton and Prince William Have Shown PDA

The Polo Match Congrats

In 2011, the newlyweds set off on a North American tour, and the world became even more enamored of the couple. They shared a quick kiss after a polo match in California, and that’s not something we’ve seen often over the years.

The Side Hug

The duke and duchess have proven they’re very competitive with each other during their many royal engagements. But there’s nothing but love when it’s over, like after this boat race in 2011.

The Olympic Spirit

Middleton and Prince William were often in the stands during the 2012 Olympics in London—and they weren’t afraid to get excited while cheering on their fellow Brits.

The Snowball Fight

The world (rightfully) doesn’t usually see photos when the Cambridges go on vacation. But during a 2016 ski trip to the French Alps, they did a photo call that resulted in a highly adorable snowball fight.

The Honey, You’ve Got Something Right There…

Nothing says, “We’ve been together forever” like getting some schmutz off your partner’s face while sitting in the royal box at Wimbledon.

The Wedding Feels

During Princess Eugenie’s 2018 wedding, cameras captured Middleton affectionately touching her husbands leg. Prince William also lent a gentle hand to his wife’s back as they walked through the church. Weddings make everyone feel sentimental, guys—even royals!

The Irish Walk

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s most recent royal tour in Ireland has given the world a couple of very sweet moments as they walked in the country to Howth Cliff. Honestly, they should frame that one of them from the back.

Normani Just Commented on Camila Cabello’s Past Racist Posts for the First Time

Normani just broke her silence on Camila Cabello‘s past racist social media posts, which the “Havana” singer apologized for last year. (The two performed in the pop group Fifth Harmony together from 2012 to 2016.)

“I want to be very clear about what I’m going to say on this uncomfortable subject and figured it would be best to write out my thoughts to avoid being misconstrued, as I have been in the past,” she told Rolling Stone magazine. “I struggled with talking about this because I didn’t want it to be a part of my narrative, but I am a black woman, who is a part of an entire generation that has a similar story.”

“I face senseless attacks daily, as does the rest of my community,” she continued. “This represents a day in the life for us. I have been tolerating discrimination far before I could even comprehend what exactly was happening. Direct and subliminal hatred has been geared toward me for many years solely because of the color of my skin.”

“It would be dishonest if I said that this particular scenario didn’t hurt me,” she said, referring to Cabello’s past posts and also online bullying she experienced from fans during the Fifth Harmony days. “It was devastating that this came from a place that was supposed to be a safe haven and a sisterhood, because I knew that if the tables were turned, I would defend each of them in a single heartbeat. It took days for her to acknowledge what I was dealing with online and then years for her to take responsibility for the offensive tweets that recently resurfaced. Whether or not it was her intention, this made me feel like I was second to the relationship that she had with her fans.”

Normani added, “I don’t want to say that this situation leaves me hopeless because I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity for personal growth. I really hope that an important lesson was learned in this. I hope there is genuine understanding about why this was absolutely unacceptable.”

Cabello was called out in 2019, when a Twitter user posted a thread of screenshots allegedly from her old Tumblr account that showed her using racially insensitive language and reblogging a number of racist and xenophobic tropes and images.

“When I was younger, I used language that I’m deeply ashamed of and will regret forever,” Cabello wrote in December 2019, referencing the posts. “I was uneducated and ignorant and once I became aware of the history and the weight and the true meaning behind this horrible language, I was deeply embarrassed I ever used it.”

“I apologized then and I apologize now,” Cabello continued. “I would never intentionally hurt anyone and I regret it from the bottom of my heart. As much as I wish I could, I can’t go back in time and change things I said in the past. But once you know better, you do better and that’s all I can do.”

Cabello added, “I’m 22 now, I’m an adult and I’ve grown and learned and am conscious and aware of the history and the pain it carries in a way I wasn’t before. Those mistakes don’t represent the person I am or a person I’ve ever been. I only stand and have ever stood for love and inclusivity, and my heart has never, even then, had any ounce of hate or divisiveness.”

Goldie, Bette, and Diane Are Reuniting for the First Time Since First Wives Club

First Wives Club hive, it’s time to get excited. That’s because Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and Diane Keaton are set to reunite on the big screen for the first time since their beloved 1996 film.

Unfortunately, it’s not a sequel—but we’ll take any combination of these three icons we can get. Deadline reported the trio will star in Family Jewels which they called as a “multigenerational family comedy” and production will hopefully start later this year. Here’s what they had to say about the plot: “Hawn, Midler and Keaton’s characters are forced to spend the Christmas holidays together, along with their kids and grandkids, after the man they were all once married to drops dead in a New York City department store.”

Okay, there’s enough of that First Wives Club DNA to make us feel all the good nostalgia feelings. “The chemistry of Diane, Bette and Goldie is unmatched and irresistible, and I’m thrilled to help reunite them on screen for generations of fans,” Bradley Fischer, one of the producers, told Deadline.

In case, for some wild reason, you have missed out on the hilarity and heart of The First Wives Club—Hawn, Midler, and Keaton play college besties Annie, Elise, and Brenda who have lost touch, but come together after a fourth friend, Cynthia, dies by suicide after her ex-husband remarries a much younger woman. Each is dealing with her own philandering husband and together they concoct plans to get revenge on the men. Thus, The First Wives Club is born.

It is truly one of the most rewatchable movies ever and you won’t want to miss a hilarious turn by Sarah Jessica Parker as Shelly, the much younger girlfriend of Brenda’s Morty. The movie is currently available to rent on Amazon Prime Video and iTunes, so you can watch for the first or the fortieth time over the weekend and sing along to the iconic “You Don’t Own Me” scene.

In the meantime, we’ll be anxiously awaiting the first trailer for Family Jewels.
