Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, and Their Kids Are Filming Dance Videos to Pass the Time

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are just like us. They too are social distancing and staying at home to slow the spread of coronavirus. Naturally, they have a lot more time on their hands, and they’re spending some of it filming iconic dancing videos with their kids (Emme, Max, Natasha, and Ella).

Case in point: this new clip Rodriguez posted on Instagram of him, J. Lo, and the whole fam. “Worst to best ?❤️,” he wrote in the caption. He kicks things off and J.Lo, of course, is the encore. Watch the video for yourself, below:

Talent definitely seems to run in this family. Emme, whose father is superstar Marc Anthony, performed on stage with her mom during this year’s Super Bowl and blew everyone away with her voice and poise. Those pipes!

Earlier last week, Lopez posted a funny video of her son, Max, delivering drinks. “We can’t go out to any restaurants or anything but the service and entertainment here is pretty good…? #StaySafe #familytime,” she wrote on Instagram.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have not said anything yet about their upcoming wedding. (The couple announced their engagement in March 2019. They’ve been dating publicly since February 2017.) According to reports, they were set to wed this summer. But given the uncertainty of what the next few months will look like in the United States, it’s unclear at this point if the nuptials will be postponed

In the meantime, we are very much looking forward to more dance videos from this fun-loving family. Maybe J.Lo can post some tutorials of the dances from some of her most famous videos, like “Jenny From the Block.” #JLoChallenge, anyone? With all this time at home, I should be able to master at least one combination of choreography, right? Right?!

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Had Dinner with Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez in Miami

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be enjoying their “quiet life” in Canada, since stepping down as working members of the royal family—but that doesn’t mean they’re not making moves behind the scenes.

It was recently reported that the Sussexes popped over to Miami for an appearance at a private JP Morgan event, where Harry gave a speech that touched on mental health, as well as their decision to leave the UK for North America, at least part-time. Not to diminish the importance of his speech, but I’m just as interested in a dinner that reportedly took place following the speech between the couple and Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez.

Page Six reports the two couples dined at Habitat, a restaurant inside the 1Hotel South Beach, on Thursday night (February 6). “Harry and Meghan got on really well with Jennifer and Alex, and spent some time chatting with them over dinner,” their source said. “J. Lo was overheard inviting the couple and their baby Archie to her and Alex’s house in Miami to spend time with them and their kids.”

While we’ll likely never know exactly what the foursome talked about, here are some topics that I hope came up: J. Lo and Shakira’s Super Bowl halftime performance and the ridiculous sexist backlash; the royals’ trip to a Major League Baseball game in the U.K. last summer and whether or not they’ll raise Archie as Yankees fan; Lopez’s Oscar snub and that “Criminal” dance routine from Hustlers; a personal invite to the Lopez/Rodriguez nuptials; and possible charitable projects they can all work on together.

Seriously, what a power couple dinner. It was also rumored that Markle and Harry stayed with the duchess’s good friend, Serena Williams, at her home in Palm Beach while they were in Florida. So while they Sussexes may have put some distance between themselves and the British royal family, they’re happily spending time with American royalty.

Alex Rodriguez Wrote a Heartwarming Note to Jennifer Lopez After Her Golden Globes Loss

Jennifer Lopez was nominated at the Golden Globes Sunday night (January 5) for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Hustlers. Unfortunately, she didn’t win (Laura Dern did for Marriage Story), but I have a feeling she isn’t sweating it—especially not after the sweet note her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, posted to Instagram.

Shortly after the Golden Globes wrapped, the baseball veteran wrote this tribute to Lopez:

“Jen, it doesn’t take a trophy, medal, or plaque to identify a true champion. To millions of young women who have watched you and have been inspired and empowered to do amazing things in their lives, you are a champion. For countless musicians, dancers, actresses, and performers who have seen and emulate your passion, drive and work ethic to find their own success, you are a champion. To your children, your family, your coaches, your staff, and your extended family, you are a champion. To everyone whose lives you enrich daily, you are a champion. And don’t you ever forget it.”

Of course, those who follow Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez‘s relationship closely shouldn’t be surprised by this public display of affection. He’s always showing that he’s her number-one fan—whether that’s through being the perfect Instagram fiancé on the red carpet, or just saying the most affectionate words.

“I can’t believe it’s been two years,” he wrote on Instagram in February 2019 in honor of their two-year anniversary. “Only 730 days, which have flown by, but it feels like we have been together forever. We are meant to be, and how much you mean to me cannot be put into words.” He added, “Like you there is none other. Words will never do justice to what the last two years have meant to me. Thank you for always being you, for your unwavering support and unconditional love.”

Beanie Feldstein, MJ Rodriguez, and Britney Young Are Redefining What It Means to Be Leading Ladies

Actors Beanie Feldstein, Britney Young, and MJ Rodriguez rocked the big and small screens this year in awe-inspiring ways. You probably recognize Feldstein best from the summer movie Booksmart. Meanwhile, Rodriguez brought tears to your eyes as Blanca on FX’s Pose. And Young has been killing it on GLOW for three seasons now.

These performances couldn’t be more different, but they’ve all had similar effects on viewers: We were captivated and transformed by them. Credit for that goes to Feldstein, Rodriguez, and Young, who have changed the landscape for women in Hollywood just by being themselves. They’ve each pushed the needle forward for representation in various ways—be it race, gender, sexual orientation, size. At Glamour’s Women of the Year Summit, these three women got together and talked about how they’re disrupting the system.

Growing up, Rodriguez, Feldstein, and Young didn’t really see themselves reflected on screen. “There wasn’t a lot of representation for young African American trans women,” Rodriguez told Vogue senior culture editor Estelle Tang, who was moderating their panel at the summit. “But I found comfort in watching shows like Will & Grace and Noah’s Arc. It made me feel included at a young age.”

Young, meanwhile, didn’t see good representation for either plus-size women or bi-racial people. “There were larger people on film and TV, but they were never shown in a positive light” she said. “They were always the bully, the prison guard. I never saw a nice plus-size girl who wasn’t being mean to people. [Bi-racial representation] was never shown in a positive light, as well.”

Feldstein had a similar experience growing up. People constantly told her she’d grow up to play Tracy Turnblad on Hairspray, but that role never interested in her. She wanted to be seen for all her complexities and nuances. , “[Tracy] is not who I am. I’m so many other things, let me show you all the other roles I can play,” she said. “Thank God things changed as I got older, and we have so much room for growth.”

We do have room for growth, but these three women are playing a huge part in moving things along. They’re using their positions of fame and power to impact the sets and projects they work on. Feldstein says she learned a lot from her Lady Bird co-star Saoirse Ronan on how to set the tone of a set. “Stepping into slightly bigger roles [like Monica Lewinsky in American Crime Story, her next project] at the center of a story, I think, ‘What would Saoirse do?’ To be the center of a story and hold that space is intimidating, but watching her do it was [inspirational].”

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Just Had a Star-Studded Engagement Party

It looks like Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are finally starting to ramp up their wedding celebrations. First up? An engagement party so over-the-top that it could’ve doubled as a wedding.

People reports that the singer and former baseball player celebrated their love amongst friends and family Friday night in Los Angeles. Few details have emerged about the evening, but if Lopez’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this summer are any indication — the party included a 10-tier cake, head banging and several A-list celebrities — it was surely a lavish fête.

Lopez’s bestie Leah Remini did share some pictures of the night, giving us a glimpse at JLo’s glam for the party: smoky eyes, heavy lashes and a nude lip. Lopez opted for a romantic hair style, featuring a deep part and and subtle curls, to pair with her one-shouldered blush pink outfit. The pictures only offer a peek at the evening’s venue, a glamorous ballroom, where it seems guests were seated for dinner amongst candlelight and crystal dish ware.

A-Rod popped the question during a dreamy sunset in the Bahamas in March with an incredible 15-carat diamond ring. But considering Lopez’s incredibly busy schedule — which has included promoting the Oscar-buzz generating film Hustlers, walking in Versace’s latest fashion show and being named a Super Bowl 2020 headlining act — it’s no surprise the pair had to wait almost six months to celebrate the relationship milestone.

But Lopez has admitted neither of them are in any rush to head down the aisle. In a video shared on her YouTube channel in June, she revealed that the couple will tie the knot “next year.” She also said that she wants to have a “big wedding.”

“I’d like to get married in a church this time. Never been married in a church,” Lopez, who has previously been married three times, added.

The star also recently said to Entertainment Tonight that she and Rodriguez have yet to set an official wedding date, but she knows who she wants to walk her down the aisle: her 11-year-old son, Max.

Alex Rodriguez Was Just as Floored by Jennifer Lopez's Versace Moment as You Were

The world is still reeling at the sheer power of Jennifer Lopez, who at age 50, walked the 2020 Versace runway in a reimagined version of the famous green dress she wore 20 years ago — looking just as good, if not better. She got a standing ovation at the show and tons of love online, but her fiancé and forever cheerleader Alex Rodriguez may have been the most floored of all.

On Saturday, A-Rod was obviously still thinking about the show-stopping moment. He posted a behind-the-scenes shot of J.Lo posing in front of a mirror in the gown. His caption was short but pretty direct: “This woman…,” he wrote.

The former baseball player has always shown his love for the singer through very public displays of affection. Not that that’s surprising; he said 20 years ago that Lopez was his dream date — which, we should point out, was right around the time she first wore the iconic plunging-neck sheer dress to the 2000 Grammy Awards. The couple got engaged this year after dating for two years, but J. Lo has said that they’re not in a rush to start wedding planning. She’s been busy on tour and wrapping up Hustlers, which is being called the “movie of the year” and is getting some serious Oscar buzz.

In an interview with Vogue, J.Lo opened up about the iconic garment, and how it marked a major fashion and pop culture moment (and made her fans’ jaws collectively drop both in 2000 and today).

“That was a moment that captured people’s imaginations, I think . . . in terms of my career, this dress really marked a moment in time,” she said. “Even if you don’t know my music and you don’t know my movies, people know about that moment and that dress. That was it.”
