Selena Gomez’s new song, “Lose You to Love Me,” has been out for less than 24 hours, and there is already so much drama surrounding it. As soon as it dropped, fans speculated that the lyrics were about Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, who is now married to Hailey Baldwin. Then Baldwin posted a screenshot of the single “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker and Jhené Aiko to her Instagram Stories, and people speculated this was in response to Gomez’s new music. Now Baldwin is slamming those rumors and asking people to “please stop with this nonsense.”
On its official Instagram account, celebrity-gossip outlet Just Jared posted about Baldwin’s “I’ll Kill You” photo and wrote that fans believe it was a “pointed response” to Gomez’s “Lose You to Love Me.” Baldwin wrote back directly but deleted her comment shortly after. But Just Jared has a screenshot over on its website, and it shows that Baldwin wrote simply, “Please stop with this nonsense. There is no ‘response.’ This is complete BS.”

This isn’t the first time that the gossip mill has piled up on Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and Hailey Baldwin. Bieber wrote a message on Instagram earlier this year after fans accused him of marrying Baldwin “to get back at Selena.” “I absolutely loved Selena she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heals in love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has happened to me period,” he said.
Gomez didn’t address who or what her new song is about when she shared it. She only alluded to a break she’s taken from public life to focus on her mental health by thanking fans for their support and encouragement. “Thank you all for standing by my side through the highs and lows. I couldn’t do it without you all and I can’t wait to start my next adventure with you. ‘Lose You To Love Me’ is out now,” she wrote on Twitter.
Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber have legally been husband and wife since their courtroom wedding back in September 2018. But reports say that the couple will be holding another ceremony and celebration with loved ones this weekend.
Bieber and Baldwin’s relationship has certainly had its share of ups and downs since they were first introduced by Baldwin’s father, Stephen, backstage at the Today show in 2009. They were friends, then a couple, then friends again before getting surprise engaged and married. Now, after reported postponements, it looks like the big day is finally happening. Baldwin and friends—including Kendall Jenner—even kicked things off with a wild bachelorette party in Los Angeles.
Here’s everything we know about the wedding so far.
The date. TMZ got their hands on what they say is a save-the-date for the ceremony, which will take place on September 30.
The location. South Carolina, specifically the Montage Palmetto Bluff Resort. TMZ reports that there is some drama at the venue, however. The hotel reportedly sent out emails to other guests letting them know that certain areas of the property—including the spa, pool, and one of the restaurants—would be off limits for 48 hours, from noon Sunday until noon on Tuesday. Apparently, they’re offering some refunds, free meals, upgrades, and alternate bookings to offset the inconvenience.
Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber were spotted in the area in August, perhaps doing some event planning.
The couple originally announced their engagement in July 2018. “Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” Bieber wrote on Instagram. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make.”
Last week Hilaria Baldwin, author, yoga instructor, and wife to Alec Baldwin, revealed on Instagram that she was likely having a miscarriage of her fifth pregnancy. Her post went viral, racking up more than 100,000 likes as she invited thousands of comments from people inspired to share their own stories of pregnancy loss. Here Baldwin opens up to Glamour exclusively about why she hopes sharing such a private moment—as it happens—will help drown out the stigma surrounding miscarriage.
When my husband and I found out I was pregnant for the fifth time, we hadn’t been actively trying, but we knew we wanted one more baby. Our youngest is only 10 months old, so at first there was a moment of Oh my God, we’re doing this again?! But then came the excitement. I found out my due date; my body began changing and I started dreaming: Will it be a boy or a girl? What will we name him or her?
Then, sometime before 10 weeks, I went in for an ultrasound. I know my technician so well—I’ve had four children under her care—but at this appointment she was silent. Every hopeful pregnant woman dreads this silence. She listened to the heartbeat again and again, taking new measurements, not really saying anything. I’m sure it was simply minutes, but it felt like an eternity.
And I just knew: Oh no, something is wrong.
The heartbeat was too slow for a healthy pregnancy, so she told me to come back in a week for another scan to see whether things improved. I heard the che-goom, che-goom, che-goom of the heartbeat, hopeful that it sounded faster than last time. “I can’t lie to you,” she said. “It’s not.” The embryo does not seem to be growing.
With pregnancy, you’re trained not to say anything about it for 12 weeks—the first trimester—when the risk of miscarriage is the highest. There’s superstition, but there’s also the fear that you might do something wrong and lose the baby. And that if you lose the baby, people are going to blame you, for eating the wrong way, for sleeping on the wrong side, for exercising too much or too little…the list goes on.
But this is exhausting, especially if you’re dealing with terrible morning sickness and presumptuous questions about why you aren’t drinking. I had already decided that if I got pregnant again, I would share the news right away. I’ve had so many talks with my girlfriends who either have had children or tried to have children, and just realized these first three months are really difficult and scary for a lot of women. It felt silly not to share—even if that meant sharing a loss.
Even before I got pregnant, I thought about what it would be like to have to share news like this. Having a miscarriage would hurt if I went through it in silence and it would hurt if I lost the pregnancy in front of everybody, I realized. At least sharing my story might help me and other women dealing with a miscarriage to find support.
Pregnancy loss is a topic that touches almost everyone—10 to 25 percent of all known pregnancies end in miscarriage. I’m not surprised at how common they are. Almost every single one of my friends has experienced some kind of struggle with infertility or miscarriage. I had such a fear of miscarriage with each of my pregnancies that I’d google the probability of miscarriage each day. And yet we’re still so quiet about it. For me, this doesn’t make sense. I understand why some women choose to keep this pain private, but it’s such a personal thing—some people need to process the loss on their own, and others need to process it more publicly. Women deserve to have the option to do whatever they need to heal.
Hilaria Baldwin, author, cohost of Mom Brain, and wife to Alec Baldwin, just shared an extremely personal post on Instagram revealing that she’s likely currently experiencing a miscarriage.
“This is what is going on now: The embryo has a heartbeat, but it isn’t strong, and the baby isn’t growing very much,” the 35-year-old mother of four wrote. “So we wait—and this is hard. So much uncertainty…but the chances are very, very small that this is a viable pregnancy.”
To share such an incredibly difficult, private moment, especially as it’s currently in the process of happening, is remarkable. “There is so much secrecy during the first trimester. This works for some, but I personally find it to be exhausting. I’m nauseous, tired, my body is changing. And I have to pretend that everything is just fine—and it truly isn’t,” she wrote. “I don’t want to have to pretend anymore.”
Many women choose to keep their pregnancy quiet until after the first trimester precisely because miscarriage is so common. Anywhere from 10 to 25 percent of all known pregnancies end in a miscarriage, according to the American Pregnancy Association. And that number doesn’t even account for miscarriages that happen before a woman even realizes she’s pregnant.
“I always promised myself that if I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss,” Baldwin wrote. “I think it’s important to show the truth…because my job is to help people by being real and open,” she continued. “I have no shame or embarrassment with this experience. I want to be a part of the effort to normalize miscarriage and remove the stigma from it. I’m hoping, that by sharing this, I can contribute to raising awareness about this sensitive topic.”
It’s April Fool’s Day and you’re undoubtedly stressed, so I’m gonna cut right to the chase: Justin Bieber might’ve just revealed Hailey Baldwin is pregnant. And you thought this day couldn’t get any more overwhelming….
Before you have a full-blown meltdown, let me just remind you that it is April 1, so Bieber’s announcement could very well be a joke. Which isn’t funny, by the way: More than 6 million women in the U.S. struggle with fertility, so staging a fake pregnancy stunt is a bit problematic.
That might be exactly what we have on our hands, though. So here’s what happened: On Monday afternoon Bieber posted a photo of a sonogram with no caption. Soon after, Baldwin commented, “Very funny…,” which implies this is all some kind of prank. (Also, the sonogram photo is a fake. We found the original.)
But here’s where things get confusing: Bieber then posted a second photo of Baldwin at the doctor’s office, hand on her stomach, with the caption, “If U thought it was April fools.” So what is the truth? Is Baldwin pregnant? Is Bieber just messing with us? Based on how casual these posts are, I’m thinking it’s the latter.
Regardless, fans on the Internet are (naturally) bewildered and confused. “APRIL FOOLS U GOT ME!! wait, unless ur serious and ur gonna be a dad,” one person wrote, while another commented, “Wow. So good. Huge congratulations to you both.” A third person posted, “Still not convinced tho,” and that about sums up my mood on this whole ordeal.

For what it’s worth, Bieber did write on Instagram last week he was “very focused” on “being the father he wants to be.” Was that actually a confession?
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin‘s relationship sure feels like it’s been a whirlwind—both in how quickly they went from “back together” to “engaged” to “married,” but also in the pace of the rumors about them constantly flying around. But the two have actually known each other for some time. “It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks,” a source told People after the couple got engaged. “He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”
Bieber proposed in July 2018 in the Bahamas and confirmed the news in an Instagram post, writing, “Listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make.” The couple married in a secret courthouse ceremony that September and now find themselves amid a new round of rumors about “trust issues” and a postponement of their wedding celebration with friends and family.
So how exactly did we get here? Below, a complete timeline of Baldwin and Bieber’s relationship.
2009: A preteen Baldwin met her future husband for the first time when her father, Steve Baldwin, introduced her to Bieber backstage at the Today show. The two kept it just as awkward as you’d expect from tweens:
2011: Once again Steven Baldwin brought Bieber and his daughter together—this time on the red carpet at the premiere of Bieber’s movie Never Say Never. The pair smiled (ever so slightly) for the cameras. That same year Bieber confirmed his budding relationship with Selena Gomez.

2014: By 2014 Bieber and Gomez were broken up. Baldwin, meanwhile, had struck up a close friendship with Kendall Jenner, who also happened to be friends with Bieber, and the three were spotted at the Hillsong Church in New York City that November.
A month later, though, Baldwin shut down any dating rumors, telling E! News, “I’ve known him since I was so young—since I was like 13—and we’ve just been good friends over the years. We have just stayed close and there’s nothing more to it than that.”
2015: On New Year’s Day Bieber posted an Instagram video featuring a cameo of Baldwin. But once again, Baldwin denied dating rumors. Baldwin told E! News, “He’s just going through a time in his life where he’s transitioning in a really positive way and he needs good people around him. And I’m trying to be a good friend and be there for him and support him.”
But wait, there’s more: In December of 2015 the pair rang in the New Year together yet again. This time in Anguilla.
2016: Finally, in January of 2016, Baldwin and Bieber reveal they’re an item when Bieber shared a snapshot of the two kissing on Instagram. However, both Baldwin and Bieber tell the press the relationship is a low-key one.
“We are not an exclusive couple,” Baldwin told E! News. “He’s about to go on tour. Relationships at this age are already complicated, but I don’t really like to talk about it because it’s between me and him.”
Bieber, meanwhile, told GQ that Baldwin is someone he “really loves” but he’s too busy for a relationship. “I already have a lot that I have to commit to. A lot of responsibilities,” he said. “I don’t want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility.”
