Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin Have Reportedly Split After Nearly Two Years Together

After an eventful near two years that included an accidental gender reveal for a baby they weren’t going to have, a co-holiday with the ex, many dates, and parental approval, Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin’s relationship has reportedly come to an end.

“There was talk of engagement, but now he says they have gone their separate ways, which has come as a real surprise to everyone,” a source told the Sun in a report that came out Friday. “Chris and Dakota were very easygoing and always seemed really happy together.” The split apparently occurred without much fanfare last month; since then, Martin has been spotted partaking in such quintessential post-breakup activities as somber bike rides in his home of Malibu—“look[ing] downcast,” as the Daily Mail put it in a recent report. There’s nothing like some vigorous exercise to clear out the pores and the emotions.

Of course, this being an anonymously sourced post by The Sun, any reports should be taken with an appropriate measure of wariness. Still, Martin and Johnson haven’t been seen together publicly since the fall, and, in March, Martin took out a restraining order against a stalker who was convinced she was dating him (Johnson was also named in the restraining order, as were Apple and Moses, Martin’s kids with Gwyneth Paltrow, according to The Blast). Both Johnson and Martin’s reps hadn’t responded to requests for comment by the Daily Mail as of the time of publication, so there’s no confirmation directly from either of their camps yet.

So—if the reports are true—as Johnson and Martin’s relationship goes the way of that of Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk, Alex Greenwald and Brie Larson, and other such seemingly rock-solid, under-the-radar pairings that met their end in the year of our lord 2019, we wish them the best in their endeavors to consciously uncouple.

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Split After Four Years Together

This just in: Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have broken up after four years together, People confirms. The actor, 44, and model, 33, are now reportedly “amicably working out how to share custody” of their daughter, Lea De Seine, who they welcomed in March 2017.

A source told E! News that they’ve been “questioning” their relationship for a while. “They want to stay together for their daughter,” the source continued, “but neither of them are very happy.”

No further details about why Cooper and Shayk split have been given, though rumors of their relationship issues have been circulating since Oscar season. At the time, the stories seemed like they might just be wild conjecture—considering a lot of it was based on people simply thinking he had better chemistry with his A Star Is Born costar Lady Gaga. But I guess the saying “where there’s smoke there’s fire” exists for a reason, huh?

And earlier today, June 6, Shayk was seen leaving the Los Angeles airport wearing a very chic breakup jumpsuit and a big smile. One thing that was noticeably absent: the emerald many thought was an engagement ring. (Take a look, below.)

Miley Cyrus Just Addressed the Rumor She Feuded With Demi and Selena During Their Disney Years

Let me take you back to 2009: Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez were all queens on Disney Channel, and there were rumors that they hated each other. Well, it was more so Cyrus versus Gomez and Lovato. There were opposing YouTube channels, squabbles over boys—all the makings of catfight fodder that fed tabloids for years.

But none of it was grounded in reality. Gomez confirmed as much in 2016, telling W magazine that she and Cyrus “never feuded.” And now Cyrus is echoing this sentiment. In a new interview with Capital FM, the Younger Now singer says there was never any competition between herself, Gomez, and Lovato. She mentioned this while defending these lyrics in her new song, “Cattitude”: “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” Some fans thought these words were fueling the alleged feud between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, but Cyrus says they do just the opposite.

“I don’t think there is beef now anymore,” Cyrus told Capital FM in regards to the rappers. “I think that you’re allowed to enjoy two artists who fill a similar lane.”

Just like fans can enjoy Cyrus’ music and Gomez’s and Lovato’s. “I just always grew up collaborating with Selena [Gomez] and Demi [Lovato], and there was never competition. Ariana [Grande] is one of my best friends,” she said.

Listen to Cyrus explain this for yourself in the clip, below.

Miley Cyrus further proved squashed any beef by posting pics from her concert over the weekend and captioning them, “I love you Selena but I listen to Demi” and “I love you me but I listen to Ari”

And in March, she uploaded this video of her and Gomez rocking out at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards:

So it’s safe to say there was never any actual drama between these women. Just people looking it, which, sadly, is nothing new.

Migraine Relief Is Finally Accessible to Patients Living in Years of Migraine Hell Thanks to a New Drug

In my decades dealing with the vicious pounding in my skull, I’ve tried just about everything to get it to stop: I cut out alcohol, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, chocolate, aged cheeses, overripe bananas (banana bread is bad news), bacon, pizza, gluten, down pillows, crack-of-dawn flights, exercise, ponytails, hats, movie theaters, dinner parties, social small talk, sleeping in rooms over 70 degrees, too much screen time… The list went on.

I tried every over-the-counter medication (the equivalent of jumping into a bull pen armed with a toothpick); every available prescription drug (only useful once an attack had already brought me to my knees); and every natural tincture I could get my hands on (ironically most herbal concoctions actually gave me migraines). I tried acupuncture, mouth guards, osteopathy, Reiki, massages, and a migraineur’s fave: banging my head against a wall. At best, I found little relief.

In the nineties, pharmaceutical companies released a class of drugs called triptans, which helped significantly with stopping migraines once they started—but still, no magic pill existed to prevent them. That didn’t stop doctors from trying all the options available; faulty-brained folks like me could be prescribed antidepressants, anti-seizure meds, and beta blockers—all pills for another purpose that patients had accidentally discovered reduced their migraines.

I was throwing an entire arsenal of drugs and therapies but none could shove the bully in my brain aside. Instead, they unleashed insomnia, jitters, weight gain, fatigue, uneven brows, and a near nervous breakdown. I felt like I was living my life in purgatory—always waiting for the next blow to my head.

I thought I would be forever doomed to this migraine-induced hell, but recently science (praise you, science!) has delivered a breakthrough to those of us desperate to leave our days of writhing in pain in dark rooms behind.

In 2017, my neurologist, Peter McAllister, M.D., co-founder and medical director of the New England Institute for Clinical Research, told me about a promising new drug. Researchers had discovered a specific peptide released during a migraine episode, part of a chain reaction that triggers that ice-pick-in-eyeball pain I’d been trying to eradicate for four decades. Dubbed a “CGRP Blocker,” the drug travels directly to the site of this pesky peptide and stops the bugger in its tracks. “This is the first preventative drug designed specifically for migraine,” says Dr. McAllister, who was a principal investigator on the studies behind the development of the drug. In his experience as a neurologist, it was like night and day for migraine sufferers, he told me.

Only one issue: the please-let-it-be-a-miracle drug wasn’t yet available. I held my breath for six months, fantasizing about the new life I might have—as I had every time I heard about a potential “cure.” I would spend time with my kids every morning, instead of hiding under the damp towels they fetched for my head. I would enjoy a vacation without inevitable days spent locked in my hotel room whimpering after the blows of another migraine. I would feel the simple bliss of being able to take a yoga class or leisurely swim without paying in pain the next morning.

Then in happened: in May of last year, the FDA approved the first CGRP blocker (Amgen’s Aimovig) and it was as if heaven itself had opened up. Cue the chorus of angels: ahhhhhh! I tried to manage expectations. It might not work for me—until this point nothing had—but when my first cooler pack containing the drug arrived last September, I could barely contain my excitement.

Anne Hathaway Is Quitting Drinking for 18 Years

Anne Hathaway has never had a public reputation as a big partier or drinker. Even so, she didn’t love the role alcohol was playing in her life—so she quit last October.

The actress opened up about her decision in a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, though she says the change isn’t necessarily permanent. It does, however, have a lot to do with Jonathan, her two-year-old son with husband Adam Shulman. “I’m going to stop drinking while my son is living in my house,” she told DeGeneres, “just because I don’t totally love the way I do it, and he’s getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the morning.”

“I did one school run one day where I dropped him off at school; I wasn’t driving, but I was hung over and that was enough for me,” Hathaway continued. “I didn’t love that one.”

Hathaway shared a story about another time drinking impacted her work: a hungover business meeting after a night out with Matthew McConaughey, her costar in the upcoming film Serenity, and his wife, Camila Alves. “We drank the night away, and then I had to go to a meeting with Steven Knight, our director, the next day, and I was just kind of…have you guys ever had to go to a meeting hungover?” Hathaway asked the audience. “I was just kinda stumbling in with one eye open, and I was trying to convince him about certain things about my character.”

“And at the end of it I said, ‘Listen, I have a confession. I was hungover the entire time.’ And he just goes, “Oh, really? I couldn’t tell,'” Hathaway said. “Then two days later we had another meeting and I showed up and he said, ‘Oh, now I can tell.'”

Kelsea Ballerini's New Years Eve 2018 Playlist and 2019 Resolutions

December has always been a special month for Kelsea Ballerini: Two years ago on Christmas Day, she got engaged to fellow country singer Morgan Evans. In December 2017, she and Morgan became husband and wife, and on December 2 they celebrated their first anniversary. To cap it all off, Ballerini, 25, will close out the year with her first performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

“It’s a perfect way to end a beautiful year and begin this next season,” Ballerini tells Glamour.com. “I’ve watched New Year’s Rockin’ Eve every year growing up, so I can’t wait to count down to midnight and jam!”

Personal highlights aside, 2018 was full of professional achievements: She celebrated the success of her third studio album, Unapologetically, toured with Keith Urban, collaborated with The Chainsmokers, joined The Voice as a special coach, and was nominated for her second Grammy award (Best Country Album). “This was a year of pushing myself,” she says. “Everything was intentionally out of my comfort zone.”

Ballerini says that because of those risks, she feels stronger as an artist and more inspired than ever. Case in point: Next month she’ll join Kelly Clarkson on “The Miss Me More” tour, and then in February it’s off to the Grammys.

Until then—and before the ball drops—we asked Ballerini to take one more look back and tell us about the songs that meant the most to her this year. From a “badass” jam to a Taylor Swift fave, there’s something for everyone. Play on!

“Without Me” by Halsey

“[You can] leave all the heartbreak behind with this jam.”

“Dance to This” (ft. Ariana Grande) by Troye Sivan

“Whether you’re celebrating with friends and family [at home] or out at a big party, this one makes you move.”

“La Di Da” by Lennon Stella

“[My] 2019 resolution to things that don’t matter: ‘la da da di da.’”

“Closer to You” by Carly Pearce

“This one is for all the new lovers that 2018 brought together. The best feeling in the world!”

“The Way You Look Tonight” by Michael Bublé

“This song makes all of my party playlists. It’s the classic that takes everyone to a sweet, nostalgic place.”

“Get the Party Started” by P!nk

“This is the perfect song to play when you’re getting your glitter on before the big night. Plus, singing along to P!nk in the mirror makes you feel like a badass.”

“Day Drunk” by Morgan Evans

“I get to share my midnight kiss with this handsome guy, and this song can put anyone in a celebratory mood.”

“This Feeling” by The Chainsmokers (ft. me!)

“Being a part of this song has been one of my favorite parts of 2018. I love these guys, and I love the message of always leading with your heart.”

“There’s No Way” by Lauv (ft. Julia Michaels)

“Two of my favorite voices and songwriters together made one of my favorite jams of the year.”
