Pale Pink Gowns Ruled the 2018 SAG Awards Red Carpet

Oh, you thought we’d move past the millennial pink trend? Well, it appears celebrities aren’t going to let that happen without getting some last bit of mileage off the trendy hue. At the 2018 SAG Awards, many actresses decided to bring back that familiar shade pink, this time through their red-carpet formalwear. Uzo Aduba did so in chiffon (by Christian Siriano), while Connie Britton and Millie Bobby Brown preferred sequins (by Elisabetta Franchi and Calvin Klein by Appointment, respectively). Thanks to its surprising renaissance on the award show circuit, we’re thinking that the #1 color of 2017 might still carry some weight in 2018. See how seven celebrities wore millennial pink (or pale pink, or light pink—however you call it) at the 2018 SAG Awards.

Hailey Baldwin Just Dyed Her Hair Watermelon Pink

In terms of celebrity hair changes, the bar for 2018 is high—Kim Kardashian-going-silver high. It’ll take a lot to beat Selena Gomez going platinum (and back), Cara Delevingne going buzzed, and all of the other major transformations that last year saw. But thanks to Hailey Baldwin, we’re off to a good start. The model just showed up with pink hair, and the shade is all-out beautiful.

Baldwin was spotted with her new color on the beach in Miami, and at first glance, it looks like another case of millennial pink. But in a turn of events, Baldwin found a way to make the color—the color that’s been everywhere for the last few years—feel brand new. Case in point: Baldwin herself went pale pink in November 2016. But where that brush with pink fit into the pale, millennial pink category, Baldwin’s new shade leans more vivid. And by that we mean, the model’s gone neon.

Or at least partially so. The interesting thing about Baldwin’s new color is that it’s actually pretty two-tone, and while that’d look out-there with two different colors, sticking within the pink family, it looks gorgeous. From Baldwin’s Instagram, it looks like the back of her hair is a dusty, rose-gold color that skews strawberry blond.

Closer to her face, the pink’s intensity picks up and it turns into a saturated, vivid hot pink, the likes of which we haven’t seen since Gigi Hadid’s pink pony. Baldwin also manages to make streaky, chunky pink roots look appealing. No surprise, coming from the woman who was wearing “soft roots” before everyone else.

Baldwin’s dabbled in temporary colored mousse for a single-use change, so there’s no telling how long her pink will stick around. The model’s known for her buttery blond color, but with the amount of intrigue she’s brought to pink, we’re hoping it sticks around.

Pink Has the Easiest, Best Advice for Self-Critical Moms Everywhere

Pink‘s music has always carried the message of embracing your flaws and finding power in your imperfections, and the way she lives her personal life is no different. Pink and husband Corey Hart are the parents of 6-year-old Willow and 1-year-old Jameson Moon, and she seems totally upfront on social media about all the messiness and difficulty that comes with being a parent. As it turns out, she’s been an inspiration to at least one other mom out there, according to a message she posted on Twitter early Wednesday morning.

“A really sweet Mama came up 2me tonight at the grocery store and told me some nice words about how she gets strength from my parenting cause I’m not afraid to fuck up in public. We cried together. It’s so hard. Y’all. I wish us mamas could give ourselves and each other a break,” she wrote on Twitter.

The story has already gained more than 5,500 retweets and 63,000 likes, showing just how much this powerful message of patience and honesty resonates. Many Twitter users responded with similar stories of times when strangers publicly allowed for a little messiness from kids.

Pink’s Twitter also has a gem of advice for parents who want to help their kids deal with their emotions in a healthy way, too. She recently retweeted a video of a dad explaining to his daughter how to honor and move past bad feelings without holding on to them.

And just like parents need to be kind to kids and kind to themselves, they should also probably be kind to one another. Khloe Kardashian, pregnant for the first time, is already being mommy-shamed for working out, and her kid isn’t even born yet. Wouldn’t parenting be a little easier on everyone if we all trusted each other to be doing the best we can?

Looks like things are definitely working out for P!nk’s adorable family, at least:

Pink and Kelly Clarkson Perform a Cover of R.E.M.’s 'Everybody Hurts' at American Music Awards 2017

Two of the music world’s strongest women combined forces for the first time on Sunday night in one powerful duet. To open the American Music Awards, Pink and Kelly Clarkson sang a moving cover of R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” that paid respect to everyone affected by the tragedies of 2017.

“This year, more than perhaps any other in recent history, we needed the power of music to help us heal, from hurricanes, wildfires, hate, hatred-fueled violence. 2017 was a year that tested our faith,” began Jamie Foxx, before he introduced the police officers, EMTs, and other first responders who work tirelessly to save people this year. “In these moments of crisis, heroes emerge. With us tonight are some of the first responders who ran toward the danger, when it would have been so easy to run away.”

“As this year comes to a close, we look forward to 2018 with hope,” Foxx continued. “For even as we mourn those who were lost, we know this: Together, our strength will pull us through. Together, we shall overcome the pain. Together, we can unite as a people and as a nation. Here to pay respect to all those affected by the events of 2017 are two of the world’s most powerful voices coming together for the first time: Pink and Kelly Clarkson.”

The two women joined each other onstage, collaborating for the first time in a stirring rendition of R.E.M.’s hit. Pink opened the song, striding regally across the stage in a leather moto jacket and a black gown covered with red flowers. She was then joined by Clarkson, looking just as queenly in a gold-stitched black gown befitting of her diva status. They belted out the final notes of their emotional duet to a standing ovation.

The two legendary singers had been fans of each other’s work long before this collaboration. Prior to their performance, they tweeted support at each other, each insisting the other was cause for nervous excitement.

“Gonna play it super cool whilst singing with @Pink this Sunday at the #AMAs ….but know on the inside I will be freaking the &$@! out ? #oneofthegreatestvocalistsofourgeneration #sheissorad #sundayissofarfromnow,” Clarkson tweeted on Thursday.

Pink replied, “You’re joking! I am humbly prepared to be outsung:) I adore you and I cannot wait.”

Then, earlier Sunday, both singers captioned the same rehearsal photo with some awwwww-inducing mutual fangirling.

Later on, both vocalists will sing solo. Pink is expected to treat viewers to the title track of her new album, Beautiful Trauma, a performance that will involve an aerial performance by the singer. It’s unclear what Clarkson will perform, but whatever it is, it will no doubt be just as potent as her duet with Pink.

This Video of Pink Watching Fans Cover Her Songs Will Warm Your Heart

Pink‘s voice is among the most recognizable in Hollywood. Her songs are powerful, her messages are clear, and above all, she remains true to herself. That’s why her fans are so loyal to her. If you type any of Pink’s song titles into Youtube, you will find an endless number of covers by her loyal following and young artists who are inspired by her music.

Whether these YouTube singers want to get discovered or they just can’t get enough of Pink’s music, it’s clear that each cover was carefully crafted with the hope that Pink will one day hear it. So when Pink stopped by the Glamour office the other day, we decided to play some of them for her.

And we may or may not have found her some new backup singers, considering many of them actually gave her chills. From fun guitar renditions to soulful acoustic covers, it’s awesome to see how differently her fans interpret her music. You can check them all out in the video, above, and watch Pink’s incredible reactions.

In fact, the singer was inspired to try out new melodies and renditions of her own songs after hearing some of the covers. “Who is this?! That’s better than I will ever sound,” she said in response to one of the cover artists. “Actually, now I know how it’s supposed to sound. That was incredible. Is she a recording artist that makes records and puts records out?” When someone in the background responded “no,” she said, “OK, well, that needs to change. I love that. I want to own that.”

Pink Reveals She Once Went a Year Without Having Sex With Her Husband

Pink has been married to her husband, motocross racer Carey Hart, for 10 years, but it hasn’t been an easy road. In February 2008, the couple announced they were separating, but thanks to couple’s counseling they reconciled two years later. Glimmers of their love story appear all over Pink’s discography, from her music video “So What”—in which Hart appears—to her songs “Just Give Me a Reason” and “True Love.”

And the singer reveals even more about her relationship in a new interview with The Guardian. Pink openly admits that being in a monogamous relationship is difficult. Somedays, she doesn’t even like Hart.

“There are moments where I look at [Hart] and he is the most thoughtful, logical, constant … he’s like a rock,” she told the publication. “He’s a good man. He’s a good dad. He’s just the kind of dad I thought he’d be and then some. And then I’ll look at him and go: I’ve never liked you. There’s nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I don’t like any of the shit you like. I don’t ever wanna see you again. Then two weeks later I’m like, things are going so good, you guys.”

She delves even deeper during this chat, as well, revealing there was a period when she and Hart didn’t have sex for an entire year.

“When you’ll go through times when you haven’t had sex in a year,” she said. “Is this bed death? Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me? Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it’s good again.”

It’s refreshing to see a celebrity be this candid and transparent about their personal struggles. Thanks, Pink, for showing all of us that maintaining a solid relationship isn’t easy—even when you’re rich and famous.
