Women Are Sharing Pics of Their 'Food Babies' on Twitter

Food is delicious—and sometimes, it happens to trigger bloating in the stomach. There’s no shame in a “food baby,” as the effect is often nicknamed, but it’s not something we normally see talked about on social media. Considering that’s how we consume most images we see, though, it can make a food baby feel like a solitary experience. But let’s be real: It’s a relatable moment for many women—one of whom kicked off a huge stream of responses on Twitter over the weekend.

It began when London-based influencer Fatimah Waheeb sparked an online discussion after posting a photo of her “food baby” on Twitter with the caption, “i can’t be the only one that gets extremely bloated and starts imagining myself being pregnant??”

She then encouraged others to do the same. “If you do have bloated pics post them in the thread looool,” Waheeb wrote.

“I had just finished eating a bunch of wasabi while watching anime and I realized how bloated I was, and I thought it would be funny to share how bloated women can get,” she told Buzzfeed News. “I wasn’t that surprised because I know if I get extremely bloated loads of other women would too and it’s nice to know other women get as bloated as I do and pretend to be pregnant!”

She also posted a pic sans bloat because, of course, some trolls were asking her if she was actually pregnant.

The responses to her original post were as heartwarming as you’d expect. Because really, who among us hasn’t been there? For these women, seeing Waheeb’s post—and sharing about theirs—helps normalizes a common experience.

Waheeb loved the responses, tweeting, “I love the replies!! i’m so glad bloating is normalised, fuck anyone that said my bloating wasn’t normal lmao it very much is.”

Kylie Jenner Just Shut Down a Troll Who Posted Fake Travis Scott Cheating Pics

Earlier this week, obviously-very fake photos of Travis Scott cheating on Kylie Jenner made the rounds, and it turns out they were a prank orchestrated by some troll trying to “fool the Internet.” Jenner is (rightfully) peeved by this stunt, and she took to Instagram Stories last night to air her grievances.

“Idk if this is really a social experiment to some people but you’re messing with real people, real relationships, real family,” she posted next to a screen-shot of the “prank.” “I’m happy my relationship is strong because this is getting out of hand. The Internet scares me sometimes for real.”

PHOTO: Instagram

Jenner’s family, obviously, rallied behind her. “I hate that I am bringing attention to this but this is absolutely disgusting that you would find this funny to mess with Travis & Kylie who just started a family together,” Kim Kardashian tweeted. “This is really damaging to relationships, families and is just so wrong!”

Khloé Kardashian also expressed her disapproval of the incident. “People are absolutely disgusting,” she wrote, also on Twitter. “The mind games this would do to somebody… That is so completely not OK! This person should be so ashamed of themselves! What filth.” This no-doubt hits close to home for Khloé because of the cheating scandal that plagued her relationship with basketball player Tristan Thompson earlier this year.

Scott himself shut down the fake photos in a series of Instagram comments. “Only got love for my wife,” he posted. “No time to be wasting. Try again.”

Jenner and Scott welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Stormi Webster, in February 2018.

See the Gorgeous Pics From Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' Pre-Wedding Mehendi Ceremony

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding weekend has already kicked off in India—in fact, they’ve already tied the knot, according to Saturday reports. But no, we don’t have any wedding photos yet (although you can be sure we’ll update you when we do). But the couple did jointly post a series of images on Instagram just hours after they reportedly finished their first ceremony, a Christian one in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. (The Hindu ceremony will be held tomorrow.)

The mini-gallery features a series of photos from the couple’s Mehendi ceremony, a Hindu pre-wedding ritual that takes place usually two days before the wedding. Per People this is a ceremony in which “all of the women in the bride and groom’s families, along with close friends, gather together while the bride has elaborate henna designs applied to her hands and feet. Guests will usually get a few designs on their hands as well.”

As the two wrote in their captions, “One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so Amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi.

Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.”

Jonas posted the same gallery and caption. (Hey, they were busy).

Stunning, no? Both Priyanka and Nick were wearing Khosla Jani by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, according to a statement from the company—and the brand did the stunning jewelry too. “A Mehendi calls for joyous and exuberant celebration. Priyanka’s outfit is a burst of colour. Nick’s aqua is the perfect balance. They looked like a dream together,” it read.

The same company was also apparently the brains behind the event, which was themed “The Blue City,” a reference to Jodhpur. “There’s a distinct joie de vivre and playfulness as America mingles with India too, with both a cricket and baseball match to boot,” a statement from the company read.

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Had a Date Night, and Pics Actually Exist

Taylor Swift has been dating British actor Joe Alwyn since late 2016, and the two are even reportedly living together. However, the couple has very much kept mum about the relationship—and tend to keep the cameras out of it as well. But last night, they went on date night and, in a rare gift to the universe, there are photos to prove it.

The evening kicked off as Swift, taking a break from her Reputation tour, snuck into a screening of Alwyn’s new movie, The Favourite at the New York Film Festival—literally going through the back door to meet up with him.

After the screening, the couple attended the afterparty: According to People, the two hung out in a VIP area and “a relaxed Swift laughed and hugged Alwyn throughout his big night.”

Cameras caught them leaving the event at Tavern on the Green in Central Park—and the resulting shots are honestly adorable.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Just Shared Pics From Their Traditional Hindu Engagement Ceremony

After weeks of speculation and little more than a “thanks, man” to guide our suspicions, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have finally confirmed that they are, in fact, engaged. If we’re being honest, it was worth the wait because they did so by posting the most stunning photos of their roka ceremony, a pre-wedding Hindu tradition that the couple held in Mumbai.

Jonas had been spotted landing in India earlier this week with his parents. On Saturday, an Indian celebrity photographer posted several images of the couple celebrating their roka, including a few pictures of them during what appears to be a Lord Ganesha puja prayer ceremony.

One of these pictures made it to Jonas’ Instagram account, where he officially shared the news with the world: “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” he wrote. It appears Chopra may have wanted to wait to make their engagement public until after the prayer ceremony, which is considered auspicious when someone is starting a new chapter of their life. Jonas seems to have very sweetly obliged and honored Chopra’s traditions.

Chopra also posted the same photo with the caption, “Taken.. With all my heart and soul..” (Jonas adorably commented, “Wow congrats… He’s the luckiest guy in the world.”)

A few hours later, Chopra posted a few more shots from the ceremony, including a sweet one of she and Jonas with their parents. Her culture and family both played major roles in the celebration, and Chopra let us know as much with a caption that reads, “The only way to do this… with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings.”

There were also a few more outtakes from the engagement celebration, including some of the couple’s family and close friends:

Considering this is the most we’ve heard directly from Chopra and Jonas in weeks, we can barely contain our excitement. Chopra had given us a glimpse of her ring and we’d stolen a few clues from their social media, but getting a glimpse into their special day is way better—and adds another exciting chapter to their whirlwind romance.

Pete Davidson Just Deleted All His Instagram Pics

UPDATE: July 23, 2018 at 5:13 P.M.— Pete Davidson took to Instagram Stories to explain why he deleted his posts. He says there’s nothing cryptic behind his decision and simply just wants to go off social media for a while.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande disabled comments on her Instagram and tweeted this:

ORIGINAL STORY:

Pete Davidson just deleted every single one of his Instagram posts. That’s right—all those adoring snaps of Ariana Grande? Gone. All the photographic evidence of his platinum blond phase? Lost forever—at least to us. As of Monday, July 23, 2018, the only thing that’s left on the comedian’s account is a video on his Story of Machine Gun Kelly having “arrived in Syracuse.” Otherwise, the entire page is blank.

It’s unclear why exactly Davidson decided to wipe his Instagram. The unexplained decision does, however, come just a day after he received quite a bit of criticism from some of Grande’s fans who misinterpreted a comment he left on one of her posts. As Teen Vogue reported, he commented “omg what a cutie” under a photo of Grande and her late grandfather, which she’d posted on the fourth anniversary of his death, prompting angry comments aplenty. Davidson clarified his intentions in a follow-up post, writing, “Are you guys all insane? I was talking about how cute her grandpa is. What’s wrong with that? You guys will really look for anything to attack people. It’s sad.”

This isn’t the only online hate that Davidson has received recently. Last week he was called “disrespectful” for giving the FDNY pendant of his late father, who was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack, to his fiancée (as is, obviously, his right). As if that weren’t enough, the poor guy was bashed again when another commenter called him out, thinking he had given the same gift to his ex Cazzie David. “Actually, I didn’t give that to my ex,” he replied. “Yes, she had one but it was a replica. I had a bunch of replicas made. My sister and grandpa also have one. The one that Ari has is the one my dad actually died in and the one he wore his entire career and the one I’ve worn for over 17 years. I’ve actually never taken it off other than for SNL or work. So it means a lot to me. Hope this helps. Please learn to be nicer and not to assume the worst in people. It’s a terrible way to live. Much love.”

It looks like people didn’t take his advice to heart.
