Scott Disick, of Kardashian fame, launched a line of tees and hoodies over the weekend with a phrase we’ve recently turned into a mantra: Please wash your hands. We can’t tell whether this is a moment of genius or an early April Fools’ joke, but only Lord Disick and the Kardashian-Jenners can turn a global health crisis into a brand moment and opportunity to sell merch.
Obviously, the entire family took to Insta to spread the news.
Lord Disick practicing what he preaches.
The collection dropped over the weekend as a way to spread the word you need to take handwashing extra seriously if you haven’t already. If you’re thinking what we’re thinking (“wow, they move fast”), the merch may too. It’s a limited-edition line from the 36-year-old dad’s brand Talentless. Founded in 2018, the brand “is an homage to the new wave of creators, innovators, and influencers who’ve made a name for themselves by going against the conventions of what it means to be ‘Talented.’” Cool.
You can shop two styles—a T-shirt ($49) and a sweatshirt ($129) with an objectively nice-looking font—directly from Disick’s brand’s website. The products are available in black and white, and “seasonal” colors like mustard yellow and navy blue.
Real talk: We’re not one to agree with Lord Disick on most matters, but he is leaning into the CDC’s call for people to wash their hands often, so maybe this hoodie is the reminder we didn’t know we needed. Remember folks: Clean hands save lives.
Yes! I don’t think Four Weddings and a Funeral or Notting Hill can be surpassed in that genre. Love Actually must also join the list.
What’s a dating or relationship “rule” you think is BS?
I honestly don’t know what they are but my guess is all of them.
Fill in the blank: “I love when my partner…”
… has seen Sinead O’ Connor’s performance of Mandinka at the 1989 Grammys on YouTube because it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen or heard.
You have a full day to binge-watch whatever you want: What do you pick?
The Wire. Or for comedy, the US version of The Office.
What’s the sexiest thing about yourself?
I can do a really shit handstand. I’m also from Ireland and so is Colin Farrell. Aren’t we all just trading on that?
What’s the weirdest thing you do in your alone time?
You have no idea how much that question appeals to my sense of humor. But probably the weirdest thing I do in my alone time that I will tell you is stare at a picture of Albert Camus on my wall.
Have you ever ghosted someone?
I hope not. I think that’s so shitty and boring and mean. But I probably have, unfortunately.
Screw, marry, kill: weed, pizza, a cocktail?
Kill weed, screw the cocktail, but in a non-committed considering imminent regret fashion, and happily wed the pizza.
What’s your hangover cure?
More alcohol. Nothing else at all makes a dent for me.
You stop by a convenience store on your way to a house party. What are you buying?
Cigarettes and chewing gum. I like in the States that you can buy the little cans of beer so I’d buy a bunch of those too.
One of the internet’s most talked about couples is no more—at least for now.
TMZ was the first to report that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are on a break from their relationship. “We’re told they’ve been trying to make the relationship work for a while, but several weeks ago they decided to step away,” TMZ reports.
“They are taking some time but not done,” a source told People. “They still have some trust issues but their problems have stemmed more from the stress of their lifestyles.”
The couple, who have been together for over two years, were first linked to each other publicly at a Coachella party in 2017 after Jenner’s breakup with Tyga. In February 2018, Jenner gave birth to their daughter, Stormi Webster—Scott’s given name is Jacques Berman Webster II—and received a $1.4 million Ferarri as a push present from her boyfriend.
Neither Jenner nor Scott have publicly confirmed the split, but Scott appeared to be absent from Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin‘s wedding festivities in South Carolina, where Kylie’s mom, Kris Jenner, and sister Kendall were also present.
Last December, Jenner and her sisters shut down fake rumors about Scott cheating. (They ended up being a prank.) “Idk if this is really a social experiment to some people but you’re messing with real people, real relationships, real family,” Jenner posted. “I’m happy my relationship is strong because this is getting out of hand. The Internet scares me sometimes for real.”
Jenner and Scott have not been seen together publicly since the August 28 premiere of the rapper’s Netflix documentary Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly. And he last appeared on Jenner’s Instagram with a teaser photo from their Playboy photo shoot on September 10.
TMZ notes this isn’t the first time they’ve taken a break and that co-parenting Stormi is the top priority—so we’ll probably just need to wait and see if this break turns into an actual a breakup.
What’s a dating or relationship “rule” you think is B.S.?
I don’t know, I really got lucky. My wife and I don’t have any sort of hard-and-fast rules. Actually, this just came up: A friend of mine was dating a guy who is very generous—sort of overly so—but she wasn’t feeling it. She didn’t want to hurt his feelings because he’s so nice, but I [told her], “You can hurt someone’s feelings.” You know, being brutally honest is better than being sweetly dishonest.
That’s good advice. Okay, fill in the blank: “I love when my wife…”
Oh man, there are so many things. I’m like, How much do I want to give away? Well, I’ll say a couple: I love when my wife encourages me to go out and do my thing with my guy friends. And then a slightly more intimate thing is that I love when my wife initiates, you know, intimate times.
You have a full day to binge-watch whatever you want: What do you pick?
I’m really looking forward to the next season of Mindhunter, so I’m definitely going to be binge-watching that. I love anything dark. I’m fascinated by serial killers and con men and things like that. That’s what the show really gets into—what goes on between the ears of a serial killer. I think that’s really cool.

What’s the sexiest thing about yourself?
My wife says it’s my sense of humor. I like that it’s something sort of intangible, which, to me, is always the sexiest thing about someone else too.
What’s the biggest romantic fail you’ve experienced?
My wife and I were in Mexico for a wedding for one of her best friends. We were not yet married—so, you know, the notion of marriage was certainly looming. My wife ended up having to go to the hospital with horrible food poisoning. At one point in the hospital, I had to help her poop in a cup, and I think we’d only been together for, like, eight months or something like that. In that moment, I was like, “Wow, I think I’m going to marry this girl.” So not the most romantic weekend, but…
Oh my God. I hope she’s fine with you telling this story?
Oh yeah. We laugh about this quite a bit.
That’s true love.
True love. That’s how I knew.
Hard to move on from that, but let’s try. What’s the weirdest thing you do in your alone time?
It sounds like the plot of a knock-off A Star Is Born, but Willa Ford‘s 2001 hit single “I Wanna Be Bad” stemmed from her being, well, bad. The then unknown singer tells me she was working with a record label at the time that asked her to make more “wholesome” music. She had other ideas.
“Everything I was writing was funky and, you know, like me,” Ford says. “I remember one day I was like, ‘I’m going to do the opposite of what they’re telling me.’ If somebody gives me an authority figure, I’m like, ‘Let me go the other way.'”
That’s when her “aha!” moment came. “I said [to my writing partners], ‘I want to write something where I just wanna be bad,'” Ford recalls. “And they were dying. They were like, ‘This is hilarious. The record label’s gonna kill us, but let’s do it.'”
“I Wanna Be Bad,” a stomping anthem with lyrics like, “I’m losing all my cool / I’m about to break the rules” was born. Ford says the record label liked the song but wanted a softer (read: cheesy) pre-chorus. But then a record executive from another label, Jason Flom, heard Ford’s original version and saw her potential. The rest is pop history: Flom signed Ford, and “I Wanna Be Bad” became a smash, reaching No. 4 on Billboard‘s dance charts and 11 on the Top 40. She was 20 years old.
“Doing the opposite of what I was constantly being told to do and being defiant is how that song came about,” Ford says.

Defiance is in Ford’s DNA. It’s what ignited her pop-music career—and what gave her the courage to walk away when things went awry. Her journey to career fulfillment isn’t so well-known, but anyone contemplating a professional reinvention should hear it.
Born Amanda Lee Williford in Ruskin, Florida, her music talents appeared at an early age. She even scored a spot studying opera in a competitive program. “I was getting free opera training from about 12 to 17. I loved it,” she says. Her chops were strong (listen here), but Ford found herself rejecting opera’s rigid practices. “I was a 16-year-old girl, and my teacher was telling me, ‘You can’t talk on the phone because you’re straining your vocals’ and, ‘You can’t drink that’ and, ‘You can’t eat this.'”
Ford just wanted to let loose, so she pivoted. “I knew in my soul that I wasn’t meant to wear a black dress in front of an orchestra and sing,” she says. “In that moment I decided, ‘I want to dance and have fun and write fun music.'”
The industry was ready for her. Bombastic, bubblegum pop dominated radio in the early aughts, and most of the women making it looked like Ford: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson. Ford crossed paths with most of them as she made her transition to pop. “Britney was always the loveliest human—just a really cool, sweet, normal girl back in the day,” she says. “Jessica was always a doll. The only person I didn’t know was Christina, believe it or not. For whatever reason, we never came into each other’s circle.”
Remember all those rumors that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s relationship was in peril? Yeah, neither do we. The couple looked more united than ever this past week, after Jenner threw Scott an absolutely bonkers 28th birthday party, which included its very own tattoo station.
Thanks to a video from celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy (Jonathan Valena), we know that at one point in the evening, Jenner took control of the needle and gave Scott a tattoo. While we don’t know what the final image looks like, JonBoy’s caption, “T.S. [heart emoji] K.J,” might be a hint. In another video from the night, Jenner and Scott appear to be getting tattoos from JonBoy himself. With the Met Gala set to unfold on Monday, it’s possible we get our first look at the couple’s brand new ink as early as tomorrow.
That was just one of the many (many) highlights from the party, which Jenner said she creative-directed herself. Among the guests who enjoyed burgers and a giant birthday cake in the shape of an Air Jordan, were Madison Beer, Kanye West, and Kendall Jenner. Kim Kardashian was also on hand, and documented the extravagant evening on her Instagram Stories. “We’re in a fun house. I don’t know what’s going on here,” she said after walking through the mouth of a giant blow-up version of Scott. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Earlier in the day, Jenner paid tribute to Scott on Instagram, with a series of photos and a steamy caption. “Watching you evolve into the partner, friend, son, and father you are today has been so fulfilling ♥️ my real life bestie & hubby all wrapped into one,” she wrote. “i love you and I’m so so proud of you. happy happy birthday ?? let’s f*ck around and have another baby.”
