Katy Perry Just Posted A Heartfelt Goodbye to Her Cat, Kitty Purry

Longtime Katy Perry fans might remember her beloved cat, Kitty Purry, from her music video for “I Kissed A Girl,” the breakthrough (if somewhat problematic) song that helped make her a megastar. Perry has been known to post tons of pictures on her Instagram, showing off furry friends like her dog, Nugget—but this week, she had some sad news. After more than 15 years of providing companionship and the occasional video cameo, Kitty Purry died on April 18.

Perry wrote a sweet tribute to the cat on social media Sunday morning. “Kitty Purry crawled through my then-boyfriend’s window 15 years ago, fully pregnant and seeking shelter,” she wrote. “Two litters and many moons later, this street cat became a lovable mascot to many. Sadly, Kitty completed her 9th life last night.” Perry included a few throwback photos from the “I Kissed A Girl” that might take people down memory lane.

It’s been an emotional few weeks for Perry. She shared that she lost her 99-year-old grandmother last month, just after she’d told her that she was expecting her first child with Orlando Bloom. “A lot of what I am is because of my father… and he is because of her. She started it all, as she used to remind us and I’m so grateful she did,” Perry said on Instagram.

She and Bloom have also postponed their wedding amid the coronavirus pandemic. But Perry is pretty tough, as she pointed out herself on a recent episode of American Idol: “I’m the toughest bitch,” she said. “I’m gonna be a good mom. My kids are always gonna get it straight.”

In that spirit, she said goodbye to Kitty Purry with a happy celebration of her life. “I hope she rests in salmon fillets and tuna tartare way up in catnip heaven,” she concluded her tribute. “Kitty, thanks for the cuddles and companionship along the way.”

Everything Hannah Ann Sluss Has Said, Implied, and Posted About Peter Since The Bachelor

There’s no doubt that Hannah Ann Sluss was the real winner of Peter Weber’s season The Bachelor. She didn’t end up with a fiancé at the end, but then again, neither did Weber. Instead, Sluss got to read Weber in front of a live studio audience and millions of viewers at home during the After the Final Rose special.

Sluss dropped truth bomb after truth bomb about Weber’s indecisive nature, the ways he took advantage of her towards the final rose ceremony, and the fact that he reached out to Hannah Brown when they were still engaged. She ended the entire thing with the season’s biggest mic drop, declaring, “If you wanna be with a woman, you need to become a real man.”

But Hannah Ann Sluss keeps picking the mic back up. Since the final showdown on March 10, she has not stopped talking, writing, or liking posts about Weber. Here’s every shady thing she’s said or implied about her ex:

March 11, 2020: Sluss posted a photo on Instagram dressed in Weber’s signature flight apparel. “Flyin’ solo… no turbulence accepted. PERIOD,” she wrote in the caption.

March 11, 2020: That same day, Sluss spoke to Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and implied she regretted attending the final rose ceremony. “My instincts were telling me I wasn’t getting all the information I needed to make a decision with Peter,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “That’s intuition and that’s instincts and should I have stayed on that bed in Australia? Absolutely. But I wasn’t going to give up on someone I loved….In the end, I think he took advantage of the fact that he conveniently left out very important information prior to me making a commitment with him.” She added that, “He speaks in half-truths.”

March 12, 2020: Sluss went on The Ellen Degeneres show and implied Weber was a bad kisser. When asked directly about his, um, skills, she said she didn’t know how to answer, but her face did a lot more talking for her.

March 23, 2020: Sluss took to Instagram to talk about “trust” and how she was coping with being “let down.”

“Trust Is A Must — Trusting can be really difficult but without it, connectivity and relationships suffer. For those who have freely trusted and been let down, I feel you,” she wrote. “It takes guts to trust once again, to rebuild the courage to be vulnerable and transparent.”

Ashley Graham Posted a Pic Showing Off Her Stretch Marks, and People Are Loving It

Ashley Graham is currently pregnant with her first child, as the world learned last Wednesday (August 14), when she shared the news on Instagram. “Nine years ago today, I married the love of my life,” Graham wrote with a video of her and her husband being adorable. “It has been the best journey with my favorite person in the world! Today, we are feeling so blessed, grateful and excited to celebrate with our GROWING FAMILY! Happy anniversary, @mrjustinervin ❤️ Life is about to get even better. ?”

As it tends to happen during pregnancy, Graham’s body is changing as the baby grows—and she’s clearly excited about the process: On Sunday (August 18), she posted a nude photo of herself to Instagram, showing off some stretch marks. “Same same but a little different,” she wrote in the caption.

Other celebrity friends were here for her post: “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Lily Aldridge commented. Makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes dropped in three two-heart emojis. Even Dr. Pimple Popper got in on the emoji shower: “?????????”

Fans were also excited to see Graham’s pic: “I freaking love you for this… ” one wrote. “This is me, what I look like. Fabulous empowering amazing beautiful fearless!!!”

Graham’s shown off her body-IRL to fans before on Instagram before, and she’s long been an advocate for body positivity of all kinds. “I’m using my body to let other women know that imperfections are OK. That cellulite, rolls, curves, all of it, things that jiggle that shouldn’t be jiggling, it’s OK,” she told Glamour in 2015.

Or, as she captioned another iconic pic, “I workout. I do my best to eat well. I love the skin I’m in. And I’m not ashamed of a few lumps, bumps or cellulite.. and you shouldn’t be either. #beautybeyondsize #lovetheskinyourein.”

During pregnancy or otherwise, we’re here for all of the positivity and realness Graham has to share, whenever she wants to share it.

Prince Harry Posted the Sweetest Instagram Tribute to Meghan Markle for Her Birthday

Meghan Markle, duchess of Sussex, is celebrating her 38th birthday on Sunday (August 4), and although she’s reportedly keeping things pretty chilled out for her celebration, that doesn’t mean that there’s not going to be some public acknowledgement of her big day. Leave it to Prince Harry, who wrote a super-sweet birthday tribute to Markle via the Sussexes’ official royal Instagram handle, @sussexroyal.

The account shared a photo of Markle smiling brightly and looking elegant in a sky blue shirt dress tied at the waist. “Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday ?,” the caption reads.

Prince Harry himself also chimed in in the caption with a public tribute to Markle: “‘Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!’ – Love, H,” his well-wishes read.

Others left their birthday greetings in the comments, too, including Jameela Jamil and Edward Enninful, the editor in chief of British Vogue who worked with Markle as she guest-edited the magazine’s September issue.

Kensington Palace’s Instagram account, which represents Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the rest of the Cambridges, also wished Markle a happy birthday. No drama here!

“Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today! ?” @kensingtonroyal captioned the picture they posted, which features Prince Charles, William, Middleton, Markle, and Harry walking together at Christmas last year.

Markle was initially reported in June to be joining the queen at Balmoral in Scotland to celebrate her big day, but later reports indicate that she’ll be keeping it low-key at Frogmore with a quiet celebration with the family.

“The Sussexes have been so busy this year that I can imagine her birthday will simply involve a well-deserved day of rest with a few friends—and, of course, precious moments with Archie,” royal commentator Omid Scobie said on Friday. Given how full Markle’s plate is—she guest-edited the September issue of British Vogue on maternity leave, after all—here’s hoping she has a wonderfully chill birthday with friends and family.

Demi Lovato Just Posted a Powerful Message About Her Relapse

Demi Lovato took to Instagram Story on Friday afternoon, March 15, to open up about the relapse she experienced last summer.

“Today I would’ve had 7 years sober,” the singer wrote. In July 2018, news broke Lovato had suffered from an apparent overdose. The next month, she announced she was taking a step back from social media to heal and focus on her recovery. Lovato returned to Instagram in November 2018 with an important message about voting in the midterm elections, and in January 2019 she celebrated six months of sobriety.

“I don’t regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes but I must never forget that’s exactly what they were: mistakes,” Lovato continued on Instagram this afternoon, in reference to what happened over the summer. “Grateful that AA/NA never shuts the door on you no matter how many times you have to start your time over. I didn’t lose 6 years; I’ll always have that experience but now I just get to add to that time with a new journey and time count.”

She ended her Instagram Story with a message for people who are also struggling with addiction. “If you’ve relapsed and are afraid to get help again, just know it’s possible to take that step towards recovery,” she wrote. “If you’re alive today, you can make it back. You’re worth it.”

The speculation surrounding Lovato’s relapse has been nonstop. In December 2018, she attempted to shut down the chatter by tweeting (and later deleting), “Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened, and what my life is like today…but until I’m ready to share that with people, please stop prying and making up shit that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal.”

The Queen Just Posted Her First Instagram

While many of our grandparents are still trying to figure out what social media even means, the queen of England is out here fully on Instagram. That’s right: Queen Elizabeth II—grandmother to Prince William and Prince Harry, and great-grandmother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and soon-to-arrive Baby Sussex—just posted her very first Insta on @theroyalfamily, the crown’s official handle.

This all took place at an an engagement at London’s Science Museum on Thursday, March 7. Someone captured footage of the queen hitting “publish” on her Insta, which she signed “Elizabeth R.” (That’s how she signs all her documents. “R” stands for “regina,” which means queen.)

“Today, as I visit the Science Museum I was interested to discover a letter from the Royal Archives, written in 1843 to my great-great-grandfather Prince Albert,” the queen wrote. “Charles Babbage, credited as the world’s first computer pioneer, designed the ‘Difference Engine,’ of which Prince Albert had the opportunity to see a prototype in July 1843. In the letter, Babbage told Queen Victoria and Prince Albert about his invention the “Analytical Engine” upon which the first computer programmes were created by Ada Lovelace, a daughter of Lord Byron. Today, I had the pleasure of learning about children’s computer coding initiatives and it seems fitting to me that I publish this Instagram post, at the Science Museum which has long championed technology, innovation and inspired the next generation of inventors. Elizabeth R.”

Watch the moment the queen hits publish below:

I have so many questions. Did she ask granddaughter-in-law Meghan Markle for any tips on being an Insta influencer from her time running The Tig? Does she read the comments? (I’m guessing that’s a hard no.) Is Prince Philip a good Insta husband?

But what inquiring minds really want to know is: Does the queen have a finsta?
