The Bachelorette's Mike Johnson Suggests Producer Julie LaPlaca Would Make A Great ‘Future’ Lead

In July 2019, before he left the show, Lovato had posted footage of Johnson on the Bachelorette to her Instagram Stories, writing in the caption, “Mike I accept your rose.” In the video she could reportedly be heard saying, “Swing me, kiss me! Boo boo.” Just a few days later, he was sent home.

Johnson took to Twitter writing, “Jus saying, my future wife though girl you ready for smiles, adventure, comfort, growth, honesty, laughter, me falling using my inhaler and kissing your stretch marks and imperfections. Where u hiding.”

The two then had some major back-and-forths with likes and comments on Instagram and Twitter before allegedly taking it offline for some IRL dates. In September 2019, Johnson spoke out about the budding relationship. “I’m just getting to know Demi,” he told E! “I think she’s absolutely fantastic, and I don’t want no pressure on her, no pressure on me—we’re just trying to get to know each other. That’s all.” Sadly, by October, the relationship was done.

Back to the present, though—maybe Johnson was flirting with LaPlaca with those comments or maybe this is just his personality. Or, a third option: what if this is all just a setup to have her become the next Bachelorette (after Clare Crawley’s season, of course) and for Johnson to re-join the cast? Either way, we’re in.

Are ‘Bachelor’ Alums Madison Prewett and Connor Saeli Dating? Mike Johnson May Have Just Exposed Them

UPDATE: March 29, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. ET — Madison Prewett is shutting down rumors that she’s dating former Bachelorette contestant Connor Saeli.

On Friday, March 27, Prewett answered fan questions on an Instagram live session. According to E! News, she denied that she is seeing Saeli when asked directly by a fan. “We are not together. I am not with anyone right now,” she reportedly said. “I am just focusing on myself and taking it one day at a time. So yeah, so there’s that.”

However, the Bachelor alum also took some time to shed light on that “talk” Mike Johnson had mentioned. “[Saeli] seems like a really sweet guy and he, like, reached out right after the finale and just sent some encouragement and some support,” she said. “Really sweet, but that is it.”

ORIGINAL STORY: March 23, 2020—

Look out, Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron: Connor Saeli and Madison Prewett may be The Bachelor’s next will-they-or-won’t-they couple. In a recent Instagram Live stream with two of Brown’s former contestants, Mike Johnson and Saeli, it became apparent that something is going on with the latter and Peter Weber’s recent ex, Prewett.

Allow me to break it down. The coronavirus outbreak has caused most of Bachelor Nation to flock to social media (even more than usual). Pilot Pete is hosting Q&As, Brown and Cameron are hanging on TikTok, and on Sunday, March 22, Johnson and Saeli chatted about life on Instagram Live. Somehow, between talks of weighted vests and bingeing Don’t F**k With Cats on Netflix, Johnson and Saeli implied multiple times that Saeli may be starting something with Prewett.

It first came up when Saeli began reading the comments (never a good idea). “Connor and Madi, please,” someone had apparently written. Johnson seemed shocked Saeli brought that up.

“I can’t believe you said that, bro,” Johnson responded.

Then, later in the conversation when the two were answering fan questions, someone asked if the two would go on Bachelor in Paradise again. When Saeli seemed hesitant, Johnson decided to get cryptic. “If a certain individual [went], would you go?” he asked.

“Sure, yeah,” Saeli said after a long pause.

Unfortunately for Saeli, Johnson was not done. After Saeli asked Johnson if he was talking to another woman from Weber’s season, Kelley Flanagan, Johnson praised her. Then he threw it back at Saeli.

“You gonna put me on blast, Imma put you on blast,’ Johnson joked. “What’s up with you and Madison, though? You talking to her?”

“I don’t know, we’ll see,” Saeli responded, before adding, “No, dude, I can’t get into anything.”

This is why we all love Mike Johnson, am I right?

Meanwhile, Prewett recently broke up with Weber after a drama-filled season.

“As Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways, I am confident that we will both move in the direction of our purpose and never forget that God has a plan in all things,” she wrote in an Instagram post on March 13. “I will always love and respect him. I am convinced our paths were meant to cross and we are both better because they did.”

Mike Bloomberg, Women, and Sexual Harassment Allegations: An Explainer

DeMarse has also not commented on the booklet—she has signed a non-disclosure agreement.

“Kill it”

Sekiko Sakai Garrison, a Bloomberg employee from 1989 until her firing in 1995, who led the sales of Bloomberg Terminals, sued Bloomberg and his company after being fired, according to documents published by the Washington Post. She claimed in her lawsuit that male Bloomberg employees from the CEO on down “engaged in a pattern and practice of sexual harassment, sexual degradation of women, and discrimination,” that she and other saleswomen were encouraged by Bloomberg and other male employees to wear “sexually provocative” clothing, and that she endured personal comments about her Japanese nationality.

According to the suit, when Garrison told Bloomberg of her pregnancy in 1995, Bloomberg told her to “kill it!” and that he repeated the comment when she asked him to, sure she had misheard it. Another former Bloomberg staffer, David Zielenziger, told the Washington Post that he heard Bloomberg say “Are you going to kill it?” to Garrison, in response to her pregnancy. “He talked kind of crudely about women all the time,” Zielenziger said. Another Bloomberg employee confirmed to the paper that Garrison reported the interaction to him at the time, though he didn’t overhear it personally.

In the lawsuit, Garrison claimed that she had heard Bloomberg make a series of similarly inappropriate statements:

To a female employee after a disappointing business meeting:
“If [the clients] told you to lay down and strip naked so they could fuck you, would you do that too?”

To a group of female employees after a male employee announced his engagement:
“All of you girls line up to give him a blow job as a wedding present.”

To Garrison, when she wasn’t included in a photo opportunity:
“Why didn’t they ask you to be in the picture? I guess they saw your face.”

To a female employee struggling to secure childcare:
“It’s a fucking baby! All you need is some black who doesn’t even have to speak English to rescue it from a burning building.”

Bloomberg denied the allegations, and said that he was cleared by a polygraph test, but did not release the test. Bloomberg and Garrison reached a settlement. She has signed a non-disclosure agreement.

“I’d like to do that piece of meat.”

Mary Ann Olszewski sued Bloomberg LP in 1996, according to documents published by Business Insider. She claimed in the suit that “Bloomberg, through its male managers and employees from Chief Executive Officer Michael Bloomberg on down, engaged in a pattern and practice of sexual harassment and sexual degradation of women.” In the suit she alleges that she heard Bloomberg make comments including, “I’d like to do that piece of meat,” and that Bloomberg repeatedly tried to look up her skirt. Olszewski’s suit also seems to corroborate Garrison’s allegation, when it cites Bloomberg saying, “Kill it” to Garrison when he learned of her pregnancy. But the most significant subject of the suit is her claims that she was raped by another Bloomberg employee during a trip she made on behalf of the company. (Garrison’s suit also alleges that Olszewski was sexually harassed and raped.)

According to the Olszewski’s suit, she reported the rape and asked to be re-assigned but was fired shortly after. In a deposition excerpted in the Village Voice, Bloomberg cast doubt on Olszewski’s story, saying, “My personal belief is that we have an allegation without proof.” He said that “satisfactory proof” that Olszewski’s allegation was “genuine” would be “an unimpeachable third-party witness.” When pressed to explain how there could possibly be such a witness, he said “There are times when three people are together.”

According to the Village Voice, the case was dismissed after Olszewski’s attorney missed a filing deadline.

“Drugged and raped”

Margaret Doe is the pseudonym of a woman who sued Bloomberg and Bloomberg LP in 2016, according to documents published by Business Insider. According to the suit, she was “drugged and raped”, and “tormented” by another Bloomberg employee. Doe sued Bloomberg as well as the company which, according to the complaint, had a rampant “drug culture,” and she further accused Bloomberg of encouraging “sexist and sexually charged behavior.” Bloomberg, Bloomberg LP, and the employee have all denied Doe’s allegations, and a judge removed Bloomberg from the suit.

Bloomberg—a New Yorker, billionaire, businessman—has billed himself in election materials as a Good Guy version of Trump. He even spent campaign ads skewering Trump for calling Hillary Clinton “such a nasty woman.” Maybe soon, Trump will run ads featuring Bloomberg’s on the record comments on a random woman’s ass.

Elizabeth Warren Called Out Mike Bloomberg's Treatment of Women at the Latest Democratic Debate

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) came out hot for the latest Democratic debate, held on February 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her first target? Billionaire and former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg, who took the debate stage for the first time since entering the 2020 presidential race.

Warren set the tone within the debate’s first minutes, comparing Bloomberg to Donald Trump. “I’d like to talk about who we’re running against a billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians.’ And, no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg,” Warren said. “Democrats are not going to win if we have a nominee who has a history of hiding his tax returns, of harassing women, and of supporting racist policies like redlining and ‘stop and frisk.'”

Bloomberg’s controversial “stop and frisk” policy, which disproportionately targeted black and Latino New Yorkers and was ruled unconstitutional, was a major subject of conversation last night, with Warren adding, “When the mayor says that he apologized, listen very closely to the apology. The language he used is about ‘stop and frisk.’ It’s about how it turned out. No, this isn’t about how it turned out. This is about what it was designed to do to begin with.”

Warren also took Bloomberg to task over allegations within his company of sexual misconduct and gender discrimination against women. Bloomberg tried to highlight women he’s promoted and supported over the years, but Warren wasn’t having it. “I hope you heard what his defense was—’I’ve been nice to some women. That just doesn’t cut it,” she said. She further called on Bloomberg to release women from the the NDAs they’d signed at his company so that the country could hear their stories. “We are not going to beat Donald Trump with a man who has who knows how many nondisclosure agreements and the drip, drip, drip of stories of women saying they have been harassed and discriminated against,” Warren continued.

Twitter was buzzing over Warren’s fiery performance. “I don’t know why you guys are surprised. Elizabeth Warren has been taking down rich guys trying to run a grift on you her whole career,” Ashley Nicole Black tweeted. “This is what she was made for. This is just a taste of how she’s going to handle Trump.”

And it would appear that it wasn’t just lip service on social media—the Warren campaign announced they raised $2.8 million last night, the best 24-hour period of fundraising ever.

The next Democratic debate will take place on February 25 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Demi Lovato and Mike Johnson’s Relationship: A Complete Timeline

Johnson also “liked” this photo of Lovato:

September 18: E! reports on new details about Lovato and Johnson’s weekend date, saying that the two went to dinner in Los Angeles, and he had her “laughing the entire date.” They are reportedly texting each other and planning for a second date. “She has always had a huge crush on Mike, and once they met in person, there was an instant connection,” the source says.

September 22: The romance seems to heat up. During an interview with E!, Johnson spoke about the budding romance for the first time, singing Lovato’s praises while letting fans know that they’re taking things slow. “I’m just getting to know Demi,” he said. “I think she’s absolutely fantastic, and I don’t want no pressure on her, no pressure on me—we’re just trying to get to know each other. That’s all.”

Still, he made it clear that even though they’re taking their time to get to know each other, Lovato is the only girl in his phone right now. When E! asked if he was seeing any other women, Johnson said, “No, it’s just Demi. That’s the only person I’m talking to.” Seems like very casual exclusivity.

September 30: Johnson spills more details about his relationship with Lovato on Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti’s podcast. “We’ve gone on more than one date,” Johnson said, according to People. “I like her tattoos—we both have a lot of tattoos. Demi has more than me.”

He continued, “And, uh, she kisses really well.”

Johnson also added that Lovato was the one who made the first move on him. “She definitely was the aggressor, you know, I find it incredibly sexy,” he said. “I love that, like, ‘Come at me. You want me, come at me.’ I want you, I’m [going to] come at you. I’m coming at her as well.”

October 14:

People reports that Johnson and Lovato are “done.” That same day, during an appearance on Good Morning America’s third hour, the Bachelorette alum asked Keke Palmer out on the air. “I made a mistake, I don’t like dating in public,” he said. “But, if I were to ask you, if we could go on a date…?” Palmer didn’t give him an answer, however.

YouTube

October 28:

E! News reports that Johnson and Lovato’s relationship is totally done. “Demi and Mike’s fling has fizzled out and they aren’t seeing each other or texting like they were before,” their source said. “Nothing happened, it just ran its course.”

“Demi was definitely interested in Mike at one point, but it was short-lived and she wasn’t ever planning on dating him seriously,” the source added.

We’ll update this post with more info as it comes in.

Is Mike Johnson in a Relationship? Here's What the 'Bachelor in Paradise' Star Says About His Relationship Status

I’m not saying that I stayed all the way out of it. I wouldn’t say I’m not in any drama. I definitely wanted to stay out going into it. But I would say, being the man that my mom taught me to be—just being a good human being, a good person—helps to avoid a lot of conflict.

What’s your take, then, on the drama surrounding Hannah and Blake?

Hannah is such a sweet woman that I was kind of feeling bad for her because she’s growing and learning how to deal with, you know, letting someone down while on camera. You know, it’s not the easiest thing to do, but she handled herself well. You’ve got to continue to watch. With Dylan and Blake, I’m completely biased because Dylan’s my little brother. I love Dylan, and I tried to instill confidence in him and let him know that he has to speak things into existence and continue to go after Hannah.

I know you can’t share any spoilers, but what was your mindset leaving the show?

Great question. I’m happy that I went on Paradise. We’ll see in the near future what my Facebook relationship status is…

Speaking of relationship status, a lot of people would like to see you as the next Bachelor… What can you say about that?

I can say that it’s incredibly awesome and a great feeling that people even consider me or think I’ll be a great Bachelor. Quite honestly, that warms my spirit. Like, straight up.

Let’s just say for fun you’re single when you leave Paradise. What are you looking for in a partner?

I like core values. I like loyalty, ambition, and women who are feisty. I find that a feisty woman, I’m attracted to for some reason. Even if they get on my nerves, I’m attracted to it still. I look for sexiness. And I look for someone who can teach me something. Say you’re a dental hygienist or an astronaut, just teach me something.

Any deal-breakers?

Oh, deal-breakers. Yeah. I’m personally not into someone that smokes nicotine.

You talk a lot about how close you are to your mom and grandma. Who would they want to see you with?

I know this is cliché, but they just want me to be happy. I mean, they think they know what I like, but they just want me to be happy. You know how parents are. They’ll be like, “Oh, you’ll like this person!” And I’m like, “No, mom, I don’t like them.” [Laughs]

Have they given you good relationship advice?
