Surprise: Bachelor in Paradise's Joe Amabile and Kendall Long Are Back Together


Caution: Spoilers for Bachelor in Paradise ahead.

It’s been a whirlwind 48 hours for Bachelor in Paradise fans, especially those who shipped Grocery Store Joe Amabile and Taxidermy Kendall Long. The once-solid couple had one of the more frustrating breakups this season, after Kendall told Joe on Monday’s episode that she didn’t know what kind of love she felt for him. Both left in tears, and all of Twitter went into full-fledged #TeamJoe mode:

But surprise! At the Bachelor in Paradise finale, Joe and Kendall revealed they’re back together. If that wasn’t enough, Chris Harrison invited a stunned Joe to compete on this season’s Dancing with the Stars, and he said yes. Talk about your life doing a 180 before your eyes.

“I had no idea that was coming! No idea. I still don’t know what’s going on,” Joe told Glamour after the finale. “I’m freaking out in my head. I don’t regret saying yes, [but] I don’t know how I’m going to do. It’s going to be interesting.”

As for Kendall, she can’t wait to see Joe out of his element. “I am so freaking excited to see Joe dance, because Joe hates dancing! Hates it. If you get a couple drinks in him he’ll dance a little bit, but he isn’t a dancer. So this is great. I’m excited for him to learn, [see] this new version of him, and grow with him.”

It’s a far cry from where the couple ended things in Mexico back in late June. “I feel like [the break-up] kind of happened for a reason, because we learned so much about each other,” Kendall says. “We had to almost be thrown in to everything in order to discover if this was actually something we wanted to work on.”

For his part, Joe thought there was no chance he’d get back together with Kendall when he left Paradise. “I thought it was over,” he tells us. “And I thought it was over because she was scared…and after that, that was it for me.” While Joe says he didn’t doubt that Kendall did care for him, he says that looking back “she was just scared because I’m the opposite of what she’s had or ever thought she’d have.”

And now? “I’m very happy,” Kendall says. “It was a really long road to get to where I am now, but overall I feel like it’s positive and everything turned out for the best. Once I got over the fear of everything I was just able to enjoy [the relationship].”

Kendall—who lives in Los Angeles—is excited to welcome Joe to her city while he competes on DWTS, but isn’t so sure she’d be willing to move to his hometown of Chicago once Joe completes his run on the show. “I think it would make more sense for Joe to move to Los Angeles as opposed to me moving to Chicago, but I do love Chicago. I just wouldn’t go there during the winter!”

Joe on the other hand, is only thinking about surviving his DWTS debut and this newfound fame. “I’m getting used to it,” he says. “It’s fun, it’s different. I don’t hate it.” He pauses. “I mean, I get nervous, but I think that’s normal. My life just majorly changed tonight.”

Kendall Jenner Just Opened Up About Her Friend Hailey Baldwin's Engagement


Kendall Jenner is in New York this week and paid an obligatory visit to The Tonight Show for a breezy chat with Jimmy Fallon. The duo chatted about everything from Jenner’s lifelong love of horses to her new gig as the ambassador of Longchamp. After Fallon was done hitting all of his talking points, the chat transitioned to Hailey Baldwin, who just happens to be one of Jenner’s closest friends. And, apparently, Fallon (like us) has been dying to know Jenner’s take on her bestie’s recent engagement to Justin Bieber.

Fallon eventually asked Jenner what she thought of her friend’s major milestone. “Are you happy [Hailey] and Justin Bieber are engaged? I think it’s perfect. They’re so in love,” Fallon said. Jenner, in turn, replied, “Yeah, whatever makes them happy, I’m happy. I’ve been friends with both of them for a very long time. So everybody’s happy, and that makes me happy.”

Well, that’s sweet of her to say. Could she be angling for a gig as one of Baldwin’s bridesmaids? Considering how close they’ve been over the years, we’re going to go ahead and assume that Jenner already had it in the bag. After all, these two buddies have been through a lot together — everything from double dates (in Baldwin’s pre-engagement days) to nights out at basketball games to getting matching finger tattoos of broken hearts. True friendship, my friends!

Kendall Jenner Keeps the Naked Dress Trend Alive and Well at Cannes


Kendall Jenner and her oft-photographed cohort—the KarJenners, the Hadids—have never shied away from a good naked outfit—short or long, formal or casual. Famously, there was her 2017 Met Gala dress, made from one (one) piece of string. A few months later, her famous sib Kim Kardashian stepped out in what was basically a transparent shift dress sandwiched between a jacket and briefs. Last year, Bella Hadid wore what basically passed as the Frozen version of the look, complete with blingy, icy embellishments, along with some casual crocheted seperates. The trend was still going strong as of September, when Selena Gomez wore an incredibly romantic Rodarte look to the #BoF500 party in New York. And of course, even more examples go back to a high point of the trend in 2016 after it exploded in 2015. But Jenner’s first naked look, courtesy of Cannes, is one of the glammest, sheerest, party-ready looks we’ve seen yet—and then she took us by surprise in a totally different version of the trend.

As of Friday, Jenner hadn’t attended any films—but she was at the Secret Chopard Party that night, wearing a short, sheer green Alexandre Vauthier minidress blinged out with glitter (and accessorized with Chopard earrings, of course) that caught the camera flashes. No bra, no worries.

She caught the look on her Instagram stories, too.

But a new day calls for a new dress, and on Saturday, she hit the red carpet for the premiere of Girls of the Sun (the only female-directed film in competition at this year’s Cannes, BTW) in an naked dress that was otherwise opposite in every way: long to Friday’s short, tulle to Friday’s mesh, white to Friday’s black. It’s sort of like if a Bond girl was also an angel. Should you be considering a major investment, it hails from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2017-2018 couture collection.

Kendall Jenner Just Opened Up About the Cause of Her Anxiety


Last year, the Kardashian-Jenner family got real about their struggles with anxiety, especially Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner. The sisters shared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians that they felt unsafe while traveling due to anxiety (Kim) and sleep paralysis (Kendall).

In the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Jenner opened up to interviewer Cara Delevingne about how much her anxiety has affected her and what’s at the root of the problem.

“I have such debilitating anxiety because of everything going on that I literally wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks,” Jenner said when Delevingne asked about what keeps her up at night.

What’s causing her panic attacks? She says it’s all of the negative things going on in the world—but especially on social media.

“Where do I even start? Everything is so horrible, it’s hard to name one thing,” Jenner said. “You go online and you see everyone saying the worst things to each other, and it’s hard to stay positive. It’s hard not to get eaten alive by all the negativity.”

She added that there are times she’d just rather escape on a trip to Disneyland or just go lay on the beach: “Some days I just want to go live on a farm and not talk to anyone and just exist in the middle of nowhere.”

Jenner announced in December that she would no longer be updating her app because she needs a break from social media.

“Lately I’ve just tried to stay off it, and I definitely don’t look at comments,” she told Delevingne. “I think Instagram is still a fun place for the most part. I like going on and seeing what people are up to.” Most of the accounts she follows are pictures of cute animals.

Twitter, however, just makes her sad, Jenner said. But recently she did hop on the platform to respond to a fan’s comment about her acne on the Golden Globes red carpet.

“I just think that the world needs so much love. I wish I had the power to send Cupid around the planet, as cheesy as that sounds,” she told Delevingne.

To be honest, that sounds pretty nice right about now.

Kendall Jenner Shuts Down Comments About Her Acne at the Golden Globes


Plenty of us get breakouts. Adult acne is actually on the rise in women ages 20 to 40. But few of us, god forbid, have to stand on a red carpet with it like Kendall Jenner did at last night’s Golden Globes—where, even despite the evening’s central theme around women’s empowerment, people didn’t hold back from picking apart the model’s appearance. (Check out Twitter and you’ll see people sharing thoughts on everything from her acne to her lips to her attendance at large.)

Jenner, for her part, usually stays above petty comments on social media. But she actually had a pretty great response to a fan who tweeted her in solidarity about her acne. The fan wrote, “Ok but @KendallJenner showing up and strutting her acne while looking like a gorgeous star is what every girl needs to understand.” Kendall’s reply? “Never let that shit stop you! ?✨” Yeah, people were here for it.

Back in January 2017, the last time fans criticized her for getting “facial reconstruction” when really she’d done her makeup differently, Kendall called it “exhausting,” and said it ultimately made her think the world was rooting against her. “I feel like people just want me to lose,” she said. “People forget that they’re talking about real people who have real feelings and actually live their everyday lives (for the most part) just like everyone else.”

What we should be talking about instead? Time’s Up.

Kendall Jenner Wore a Casual Tee-and-Jeans Outfit With $10,000 Boots on Her Birthday


Apparently, Kendall Jenner is very into wearing sparkles on her birthday. Last year, the model rang in her 21st year in a shimmering (and teeny-tiny) slip dress inspired by Paris Hilton. She continued the trend when she was feeling 22 with none other than those $10,000 YSL glitter boots from the brand’s Fall 2017 collection—you know, those made famous by Bad Gal Rih Rih.

Jenner showed up to Petite Taqueria in Los Angeles for her birthday dinner wearing a cropped white tank and some slouchy denim. This pretty typical jeans-and-a-tee outfit was stepped all the way up, though, with the addition of YSL’s Niki 105 thigh-high boots with all-over embroidered white crystals and its five-figure price tag.

Before Kendall took the glitter boots out for a spin, they’ve been spotted on the legs of Rihanna, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Céline Dion. Why none of them took advantage of the Kirakira filter to document their outfits, we’re not sure.

WWD reports that the YSL boots are covered in 3,000 rhinestones per shoe, and had initially racked up “many”-person waiting lists at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman, despite the hefty price tag. (Hey, if we had $10,000 to spare, we’d probably be on that waitlist, too.) That’s one literal interpretation of “glitz and glamour” fashion.
