Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth of 'SATC' Just Had a Moment on Instagram

We’ve had a lot of Sex and the City goings-on lately, no? After Carrie Bradshaw, technically named Sarah Jessica Parker, told us in February that SATC 3 has “never been a no” (we see you with that clever double negative, SJP), she went on to break all of our hearts in late September with the news that the movie would not be happening—despite a script existing. Charlotte York Goldenblatt, AKA Kristin Davis, called the decision “deeply frustrating,” a verdict as restrained as we’d expected from Charlotte. Then, we had Samantha Jones/IRL Kim Cattrall saying that SJP “could have been nicer” when it came to SATC picking up again—and that she had always passed on the opportunity but would be happy to have Samantha be re-cast if a third installment were made. Even Stanford, known outside the show as Willie Garson, had a little frustrated shade to throw.

Recently, however, we had a sweet moment that helped all the drama of the past few weeks melt blissfully away (as blissfully as it can since we’ll never get a SATC 3, but it’s fine; really, it’s fine). Chris Noth, who played the ever-divisive Mr. Big in the series, shared a brooding throwback pic featuring some truly illustrious locks (“hair” does not cut it here) in support of Stephen Colbert and Nick Kroll’s #PuberMe campaign, for which celebrities have been sharing awkward childhood pics to raise Hurricane Maria relief money for Puerto Rico.

See the “before” image of Mr. Big’s haircut below:

But commenters didn’t think his submitted pic was awkward. Instead, Instagram got pretty swoony—including SJP herself, who commented “Beeeeeautiful!!!!! xx”. And he responded with a kissy-face emoji.

To be honest, I was never a fan of Mr. Big, but if this comment is proof of his and Carrie’s undying love and support in the face of adversity, then sigh count me in. (JK he left her at the altar, but this exchange is very sweet and somewhat restorative, and isn’t that what we all need right now?)

Busy Philipps Just Dyed Michelle Williams' Hair Pink on Instagram

PHOTO: INSTAGRAM / @BUSYPHILIPPS

Legend has it that celebrities are just like us, and watching Busy Philipps dye Michelle Williams’ hair pink, well, let’s just say we’re starting to buy into that idea a little more. On Wednesday night, the real-life best friends recorded the whole night for Instagram, and it’s impossible to look away.

The action began while the duo and a friend were staying up for a flight back to LA from Paris. After going out, they were back in a hotel room (with white wine) when the pink-haired Philipps whipped out her leave-in hair tint. “Guys, we’re going to dye her hair pink. What do you think? Is this a good idea? Look at that hair. It’s going to be pink,” Philipps explained to the camera.

PHOTO: Instagram / @busyphilipps

Philipps says she uses the tint for 20 minutes to get her pink color, so they decided to put it into William’s platinum pixie for five minutes. The goal: “perfectly millennial pink” hair. Philipps massaged it in; Williams’ face is, in a word, incredible. In two words, incredible and relatable.

PHOTO: Instagram / @busyphilipps

Five minutes of wine time later, and Williams’ was freshly pink.

PHOTO: INSTAGRAM / @BUSYPHILIPPS

For how it happened, the color looks great—like pink champagne (alcohol pun not intended), strawberry blond’s platinum-based sister.

PHOTO: INSTAGRAM / @BUSYPHILIPPS

In a Leslie Knope way, Philipps said what we were all thinking: “She has slightly pink hair, and it’s fucking beautiful. She’s like a little nymph asleep next to me.”

Halloween 2017: The Best Mermaid Makeup Tips From Instagram Beauty Stars

  • <img src=”https://media.glamour.com/photos/57d5f5aca12e2b5b18328b77/master/pass/rachel-bourne-mermaid-makeup.JPG” alt=”The Best Mermaid Makeup Ideas for Halloween”/>

The Best Mermaid Makeup Ideas for Halloween

Consider this your look if you like to go all out for Halloween. According to makeup artist Rachel Bourne (@rachbournemakeupx), you can DIY it with just a handful of extra-pigmented products and glitter. She recommends shimmery, purple eyeshadows on both your lids and brows and a bright blue eyeliner all over your lips as lipstick. Once that’s set, press M.A.C. Cosmetics Trolls Collection Glitter in Reflects onto your lips to make them pop. And if you really want to look like you just emerged from a tide pool: Add pastel tones to your hair using colored hair sprays.

The first rule of mermaid-ing: Don’t forget the scales! “I use a mesh wig cap over my face and a dense stippling brush to layer three different eye shadow shades: Pussy Cat and Purr from the TooFaced Cat Eyes Palette and Wham Bam from the TooFaced The Power of Makeup Palette by Nikkie Tutorials,” says makeup artist Yasmine Violet (@lifeiswhatyoucakeit). Concentrate the color at your contour and along your hairline, remove the mesh, then add to lids for a mesmerizing monochromatic face.

This look—by makeup artist Emily Dear Heart (@emilydearheart)—begins with fishnet stockings (we know, so appropriate), instead of a wig cap, to create a scale-y finish on skin. “Put one whole leg over your face,” Emily explains. “It’s easier than holding the fishnets. If they move while you’re applying a color it can muddy the scales.” Another pro tip: Use a tightly-wound dome-shaped brush to deposit your pigment. The tighter the bristles, the more opaque the result will be. We love this $14 mini version from Sephora.

Mermaid makeup isn’t just for your face. Extending the scaly effect to your neck and shoulders, like Instagram makeup artist Ilinca Bulai (@ilincabulai), really commits to the costume. “I started by placing the scales where my normal face contour and highlight would go, and then added more scales to my body,” Ilinca says. Concentrate on the outside edges of your shoulders and collarbone for the most eye-catching result.

Who says merpeople can’t wear a rainbow of hues? Kat Smith (@Kat_v_Smith) combined pink, purple, and blue here. After applying primer, foundation, eyeshadow, and blush, Smith cut a tube out of fishnet panty hose and placed it over her head. She then layered extra-bright blue and purple shades on her cheeks and forehead for a pretty two-tone effect. And that lip? NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in Little Denim Dress.

Don’t limit yourself to just eyeshadow to create scales. Instagram makeup artist Mari (@awakened17), used a nail art kit, complete with sparkly stick-ons, to add a textured feel to her cheek. The rest of her tool kit: M.A.C. Eyeshadows in Aquadisiac and Nylon and M.A.C Mascara In Extreme Dimension.

If scales feel too advanced, this half-mermaid, half-avatar vibe, created by makeup artist Becca Geary (@beccagearymakeup), is slightly more simple. Geary blended blue shadows around her face, neck, and—yes—ears. It’s one of the most important steps for making the look appear realistic, she says.

The Best Mermaid Makeup Ideas for Halloween

Makeup artist Kat Winter (@_katwinter) used different tones of blue and orange eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Vice4 Eyeshadow Palette and the Make Up Revolution Mermaids vs Unicorns Palette on top of full-coverage base for her mermaid moment. Our favorite detail? The gorgeous highlight on the inner corner of her eye—a “water droplet sparkle.”

The Best Mermaid Makeup Ideas for Halloween

Take away the scales, and this makeup could pass for an awesome everyday style—ideal for anyone who wants to take the fishiness out of mermaid makeup. Makeup artist Orianne Vialo (@na_noune) used green and silver to recreate subtle fish scales then added a few shimmering details: “I defined the edges of some of the scales with a gold-colored liquid eyeliner,” she says. The same gold lined her crease to tie it all together.

This neon mermaid vibe is not for the faint of heart. But, man, if it won’t get you a million likes. Using cut-up fishnet gloves, makeup artist Noelle Uranga (@mindcreation_makeup) traced a fish scale pattern against her face with bright blue and fluorescent green eyeshadow. “I kept the scales on my forehead and cheekbones so they would stand out above the rest of the makeup,” she says. If you’re going this bright, keep the color theme consistent throughout: “I added those same colors to my eyelids, eyebrows, and lips.” Last but not least: a little glitter above the brows. Because obviously.

No mermaid forgets her brows. Makeup artist Erika Marie (@erikamariemua) layered NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk under iridescent blue eyeshadow to make hers pop. For lids, Erika applied frosted purple shades, accentuating the inner corner and center of her eyes with Illamasqua Powder Eye Shadow in Cascade (the same shade highlighted her cheekbones). Last but not least: a few false lashes and Lime Crime’s Liquid Lipstick in Wisteria, a lilac shade.

Doing Halloween on a budget? Good news, makeup artist Hannah Reed (@hmillmakeup) used almost all $5 NYX products here. “I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk as a base for the scales, NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow in Epic as the second layer, and finished NYX Prismatic Color in Mermaid to give a nice sheen,” she says.

Did Kim Kardashian Confirm Khloe and Kylie's Pregnancies on Instagram Weeks Ago?

They say good things come in threes, although whoever invented that line probably wasn’t referring to reality stars. Still, we’re positive that one of the three Kardashian-Jenner pregnancy rumors is, indeed, fact. Kim and Kanye West will be having a third baby via surrogate, but Khloe and Kylie’s reported pregnancies have yet to be officially confirmed by the women themselves. There have been a few hints though. We’re not talking about any physical evidence—their bodies are not here for you to scrutinize—but rather a sneaky Instagram pic Kim posted that may reveal all three sisters are pregnant at the same time.

On September 3, the 36-year-old posted a photo of herself wit Kylie and Khloe by the pool. Innocent enough, yes, except for the caption that reads, “The 3 of us…”

    Kind of telling, no?

Of course, it could be mean absolutely nothing—the Kardashian-Jenner sisters post photos of themselves with each other almost daily. But the caption is strangely cryptic. Leading us to wonder if Kim—who’s been vocal about clapping back to a bunch of uninformed reports—originally confirmed it all.

If the family is dropping clues, it feels like we’re following some sort of trail of breadcrumbs until we finally find out the truth. Until then, we’ll wait patiently, refreshing out Instagram feeds every few minutes for the next hint.

This Gorgeous Woven Bag Beyoncé Posted on Instagram Is $150

It’s pretty much undisputed that Beyoncé is the queen of Instagram fashion shoots and of couture: we’ve caught her ‘grams of a stunning $7,560 date-night outfit—and who can forget that $22,000 kimono she wore…to a basketball game? But what’s a little less visible is that she knows good design doesn’t necessarily mean a high price tag. Three of her most recent Fashion-with-a-capital-F posts, in fact, feature her working a more affordable accessory: the woven Parme Marin bag that hangs from her hand is $150.

On Friday, she posted three images of herself in 16 different poses showing off some high-waisted plaid shorts, a denim top with a ruffled neckline, a pair of black heels, and a killer blue lip. The star of the look, however, is Parme Marin’s circular Tadlak Small Bag, which is handwoven with palm leaves and lined with African fabric.

Not in its product description? Considering there are 1 million likes and counting on the images, chances of the Bey-approved bag selling out are probably pretty high.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen her play the other side of the high-low fashion game recently: earlier this month, she showed up to Rihanna’s Diamond Ball in a $165 House of CB gown. Then there’s her activewear line, Ivy Park, which is also fairly affordable with workout leggings for $65 and T-shirts for $30. Even Bey’s stylist recommends shopping at Target, which we can so get behind.

Straw, wicker, and other woven bags have been big for a few seasons now, along with straw hats—and after this, we’re pretty sure they’ll continue to be. It has to be said: it feels good to know that even if we will never be Beyoncé, at least we can dress like her.
