In case you were wondering how Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes were spending time during the coronavirus outbreak, they’re social distancing together.
On Friday, March 20, The couple took to Instagram Live to perform for fans, joining the ranks of John Legend, Chris Martin, and Mandy Moore—all of whom have put on virtual shows to entertain the masses during this tough time. Cabello and Mendes sang some tunes for fans as part of Global Citizen’s “Together At Home” concert series, kicking off their set with a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Kiss Me”.
They also took questions from commenters and made some suggestions about how people should be spending time while we’re all stuck at home. “I think everybody should start Harry Potter from top to end,” Mendes said. “That’s the way to go.”
“We started watching it yesterday. I knew everything about it, of course,” Cabello joked before admitting, “I didn’t really know much. He knows a lot about it.” This led to a conversation about which Hogwarts house they think the other would be assigned to. Mendes told his girlfriend he believed she would absolutely be Gryffindor. “Really? That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me,” she replied and revealed she thinks he would be assigned to the same house by the sorting hat.
The couple performed for about 24 minutes and did a number of their hits like “Havana”, “Lost in Japan”, and, of course, “Senorita.”
Cabello and Mendes have been friends for years, but only got romantically involved last year. “It’s so funny because when we first started going out it’s so weird… [dating] somebody who was your friend for a really long time,” Cabello told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show back in December. “The people around you already know them because you’ve known them for a long time, so it’s just like, ‘Now we kiss and hold hands.'”
The final character posters for Game of Thrones gave fans a lot to talk about ahead of the season 8 premiere, especially Sansa Stark. Sansa (played by Sophie Turner) sits on the Iron Throne in a navy outfit that has added fuel to a popular theory about Sansa’s allegiances at Winterfell this season. (Specifically, its scale and fur motifs are references to her Tully and Stark lineage, implying that she’s more interested in restoring her family’s status than buddying up with Daenerys Targaryen to give her the Iron Throne.)
Nothing’s for certain until the show premieres on April 14, but Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton confirmed to Glamour that Sansa’s season 8 wardrobe is “absolutely” a reflection of her loyalties on the show. The scaly fabric seen in her season 8 poster is “reference in the fabric to her mother’s family sigil the fish.” Then, “the fur cape at her neck [pays] respect to her father’s family, the Starks.”
Compare this symbolic final season outfit with the dresses she wore eight years ago, and you’ll recognize how far Sansa has come over the past seven seasons. Where her early looks were heavily influenced by the people around her, her final season outfits represent a fully realized individual. “I think you can see that she is influenced throughout her journey until she finally comes into her own style in season 7,” Clapton says. “The look is a culmination of her difficult story.”

The Sansa audiences see in the final season is a hardened version of her younger self. At the beginning of Game of Thrones, Sansa relocates from Winterfell to King’s Landing. The journey saw her adopt colorful styles worn by Cersei, and later, Margaery, as she tries to assimilate to her new home. “The ‘Little Bird’ initially copied the style of Cersei, when she first arrives in Kings Landing,” Clapton says.
At King’s Landing, Sansa often mimicked Cersei’s early hair and clothing.

Her departure from King’s Landing in season 4 and gradual journey north to Winterfell leads to dramatic changes in her appearance. As she encounters more difficult circumstances, her dresses get darker and more subdued. “She then retreats to the cut of her mother’s costume, a refuge, showing how she feels, wounded and scared, but she can’t speak it,” Clapton says. “She tells of her pain through embroidery and color.”
Littlefinger, master manipulator and her companion for much of that journey, has a profound impact on these outfits. The patterns in Sansa’s dresses and her pin are close to his own, to show that she’s paying close attention to his tactics. (Which, as fans know, will help her take control later on.) “This was supposed to imply that she now understands that she can learn and take from those that hurt her,” Clapton says. “She copies Littlefinger’s look not because she’s impressed by him, but that she needs him.”
By the time Sansa has returned to Winterfell and reunited with her surviving family members, her outfits carry subtle cues referencing her long journey home. “She suffered at the hands of Joffrey, her mother’s sister, and Ramsey [Bolton]; this influences the design of the belt in season 7 that wraps around her body, protecting her. The wrap over front and laced dress, the shorter length and the stitched, quilted heavy cloth—all tell of protection and the ease of movement if needed.”
As Sansa journeys north with Littlefinger, her outfits begin to resemble his.

Sansa’s outfits aren’t the only barometer for her influences and relationships on the show. Sophie Turner revealed that her character’s hair styles also mirror the people around her. “Sansa’s hair is constantly reflecting the people she’s learning from, or mimicking, or inspired by at the time,” Turner toldRefinery29 in 2017. “When she’s Cersei’s prisoner, and she’s kind of absorbing all her manipulative techniques, it’s reflected in her hairstyle, and when she’s finding the spirit of Margaery in herself, she wears her hair like Margaery.”
Nick Jonas, the patron saint of six-packs, may or may not be engaged to Quantico actress and overall queen Priyanka Chopra. They haven’t confirmed anything yet—in fact, they haven’t even said if they’re dating—but the evidence is piling up.
The two have been inseparable since Memorial Day Weekend 2018, when they hung out on a boat with Chord Overstreet and Wilmer Valderrama. Their weekend fling then turned into several trips around the world: India! Brazil! New Jersey! They’ve reportedly met family members, attended weddings together, and Chopra’s even danced to Jonas’ music in public on multiple occasions. If that’s not indicative of a relationship, and maybe even an engagement, then what is?

For those still skeptical about Jonas and Chopra’s situation, though, this new report from Us Weekly might help clear things up. According to a source from the magazine, Jonas said, “Thanks man” when a fan congratulated him on his engagement to Chopra while at an event in New York City. Did you read that?! “Thanks, man!” That’s the straight-male equivalent of, “Oh my God, thank you! We’re already talking about cake flavors!” (Although I already know that Jonas’ wedding cake—if he’s, in fact, getting married—should taste like bacon. He literally has a song called “Bacon.”)
Is this true? Who knows! Because it’s coming from a source, take this story with a grain of salt. That being said, it is suspicious Jonas and Chopra haven’t denied these engagement rumors. Maybe they just don’t care what people think…or maybe we should gear up for the sexiest wedding of all time. Either way, I’m now hungry for bacon.
The next episode of This Is Us isn’t airing until after the Super Bowl, but don’t worry: It’ll be worth the wait. Based on NBC’s hyperbolic promos instructing us to set our DVRs for “extra time,” it seems like this is going to be the episode: the one where all our questions are answered, including how Jack died. Cue that GIF of Rose from Titanic saying, “It’s been 84 years”—because it feels like that’s how long we’ve been waiting for this moment.
Granted, we did receive a tease with last week’s episode. The final five minutes revealed the cause of the fire that presumably killed Jack (spoiler: it was a Crock Pot—long story), but there’s still so much we don’t know. Why couldn’t Jack get out of the house in time? Did Kevin ever come home? Is Kate’s dog actually to blame for all of this?
Unfortunately, the photos NBC just released of the Super Bowl episode don’t answer these questions, but they do reveal something important: The episode doesn’t take place entirely on the night of the fire. In fact, these photos suggest the bulk of the episode happens in the preset-day, which is both confusing and intriguing. Is This Is Us going to wrap up the entire fire mystery in five minutes and then spend 37 on the Pearson’s Super Bowl shenanigans? Is what Beth and Randall cook on Game Day more important than Jack dying?
Peep the pictures for yourself, below, to get a taste of what’s to come. They’re pretty standard—but it’ll only be a matter of time before fans start with the theories.

2018 is off to a great start for Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk. Not only are they the cover stars of Goop magazine’s second edition, but inside the new “Sex & Love”-themed issue, they’re finally confirming their engagement.
The magazine, which goes on sale this week, attacks its romantic theme from all angles. The issue’s main story is a “deeply personal conversation” between Paltrow and relationship psychologist Esther Perel about finding love the second time around. Elsewhere in the mag, besides features on romantic getaways, couple’s therapy, and “luxurious, toxin-free yoni products,” Jean Godfrey-June writes about the “intense and often fleeting energy” of crushes, and Jancee Dunn shares an essay about “the sad reality of the orgasm gap.” And in an accompanying online video, Falchuk will take Goop’s signature “How Goopy Are You?” quiz.

Inside the second issue of her namesake magazine, Paltrow opens up about her “conscious uncoupling” from Chris Martin and impending second marriage to Falchuk. “Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be. I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy,” she writes about Falchuk. “For the first time, I feel like I’m in an adult relationship that is sometimes very uncomfortable—because he sort of demands a certain level of intimacy and communication that I haven’t been held to before. What came up in the first couple of years of our relationship was how incapable I was in this realm—how I feared intimacy and communication.”
Ahead of their official engagement announcement inside Vol. 2 of Goop—and several weeks after Entertainment Tonight reported that they’ve actually been engaged for over a year—Paltrow and Falchuk confirmed the big news to Good Morning America on Monday. “We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship,” they said in a joint statement.

Of course, it could be mean absolutely nothing—the Kardashian-Jenner sisters post photos of themselves with each other almost daily. But the caption is strangely cryptic. Leading us to wonder if Kim—who’s been vocal about clapping back to a bunch of uninformed reports—originally confirmed it all.
If the family is dropping clues, it feels like we’re following some sort of trail of breadcrumbs until we finally find out the truth. Until then, we’ll wait patiently, refreshing out Instagram feeds every few minutes for the next hint.
