Beyoncé's Pregnancy Announcement Is the Most-Liked Instagram Photo of 2017

It’s hard to forget the day when Beyoncé revealed she and Jay Z were expecting twins. I mean, her announcement was truly bonkers—in the best way possible, of course. Queen B decided to break the news on Instagram via an original, fabulous photoshoot. She tossed on a green veil, a brown-and-blue lingerie set, and posed like a regal goddess surrounded by flowers. It was a moment, to say the least—an iconic photo from arguably the most iconic performer of our time.

The snap went viral. We covered it—several times—and so did literally every other outlet that cares about celebrities. Beyoncé’s name quickly started trending on Twitter. Social media exploded. The memes came in hot. In under an hour, Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement morphed into a bonafide pop-culture sensation. We’re still talking about it!

So we’re not exactly surprised that B’s pic is the most-liked Instagram photo from 2017. The social media platform just released the stats today, and Beyoncé’s baby bump debut racked up an impressive 11.18 million likes. The photo of Bey holding her twins, Sir and Rumi, is the fourth most popular pic of the year.

Coming in behind her is the photo Cristiana Ronaldo posted of his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, and his fourth child, who he welcomed on November 12. That photo received an impressive 11.03 million likes. (Ronaldo has two other entires on the list, as well—both family pics.)

Rounding out the top three is Selena Gomez, whose photo revealing her kidney transplant scooped up 10.31 million likes. Again, this story went completely viral—and Gomez is the most-followed person on Instagram—so this number shouldn’t shock anyone, either. In fact, five of the the top 10 celebrity Instagram photos from this year came from her account. Five!

With these numbers, just imagine if Gomez and Beyoncé posed for a photo together. Now that would actually break the Internet.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd Just Unfollowed Each Other on Instagram

In the world of celebrity relationships, Instagram follows means everything. Which is why Selena Gomez just made a huge statement about her feelings for her ex, The Weeknd, when she quietly unfollowed him, as pictures of the pop star kissing her on-and-off again ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber fuel rumors of a Jelena return.

When eagle-eyed fans first noticed she was following one less account, The Weeknd still counted @selenagomez among his list of ‘grams worth tracking. Maybe he was still pining after his ex, or maybe he just didn’t have time, or maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t take Instagram that seriously. But then, on Friday afternoon, The Weeknd’s following count dropped from 601 to 600. As of November 17, 2017, Selena and The Weekend are no more—at least Instagram officially.

This isn’t the first time the formerly amorous singers have caused a stir with their social media power moves. Last week, Selena made headlines when she liked one of The Weeknd’s Instagram posts, prompting fans to speculate that they had broken up on good terms. Towards the end of October, however, The Weeknd had unfollowed several of Selena’s friends and family, including her personal assistant, Theresa Mingus, and her best friend and kidney donor, Francia Raísa. Later that week, the pair announced the end of their 10-month relationship. Prior to that, Selena and The Weeknd both unfollowed Bella Hadid, The Weeknd’s ex. And before that, Bella had unfollowed Selena after the “Wolves” singer was photographed kissing the model’s ex for the first time, although she was still following The Weeknd.

Are you still keeping up? Good, because here’s one more doozy: Selena and Justin aren’t following each other, either. This could be nothing or everything. We’ll have to wait to hear it from Jelena themselves.

This Instagram Post Really Makes It Seem Like Meghan Markle Is Leaving 'Suits' to Be With Prince Harry

It’s been rumored for weeks that Meghan Markle is planning on relocating to England to be closer to her boyfriend, Prince Harry—but the evidence for this has been thin. First, there was the report that claimed she didn’t renew her Audi car lease in Toronto. Then, the Daily Mail said Markle moved her dogs to the U.K. Both of these stories are circumstantial, though. It’s entirely possible Markle ended her car lease for another reason besides moving across the Atlantic ocean.

But a since-deleted Instagram post from Markle’s Suits stand-in offers more concrete proof. Nicky Bursic, who served as Markle’s body double for two years on the hit USA show, posted a farewell message that seemed to imply Markle is leaving. This, interestingly, corroborates Deadline‘s report that Markle is eyeing to exit Suits after its seventh season.

“It’s been an absolute please and honour being your ‘STAND-IN’ for the last 2 seasons @meghanmarkle. Though I’ve been on @suits_usa for 6 years, the latter 2 [have] been my most memorable. Wishing you all the happiness in the world Bella,” she wrote, adding #youdeserveitall and #loveher,” she posted, according to InStyle.

Think about this for a second. Suits turned Markle into a star. She’s known for it, much like Mariska Hargitay in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit or Ellen Pompeo in Grey’s Anatomy. It seems unlikely she’d leave…unless it was for something big. Something like a move to the U.K.

Of course, we don’t know anything for sure yet. Bursic’s post was deleted, after all, so maybe there’s more to the story than we know. That being said, I think it’s safe to get a little excited about this. It’s the strongest evidence we have that points to a second royal wedding. And my heart isn’t ready.

KiraKira: All About the Sparkle Filter Taking Over Your Instagram Feed

Has your Instagram feed been looking suspiciously sparklier lately? No, you’re not experiencing delayed eye damage from #SolarEclipse2017, it’s the latest video app that’s taking the fashion and beauty worlds by storm (er, sparkle). Kirakira+, an app created by Japanese developer Kentaro Yama, enhances the shine of just about any object to a hypnotizing degree. It’s so addicting it’s become its own verb around the halls of Glamour HQ: Those sequin shoes? I have to Kirakira them! I love your glitter nail polish, can I KiraKira it? (I’m not not speaking from personal experience right now.)

Immediately upon downloading the app, the world becomes your shimmering oyster again and everything in sight is a dang pearl. Because it’s practically a girl-on-girl crime to keep a secret filter this great to yourself, here’s everything you need to know about KiraKira.

1. It’s been around since 2015
While the app has only recently resurfaced on social media, it’s technically been around for a couple of years now. We can’t pinpoint exactly when or how it came back with such a vengeance, but all signs point to London Fashion Week. (See Eva Chen’s sparkly boots above.) Word of mouth too, no doubt, has helped it catch like fire among editors, bloggers, and celebrities.

2. It has seven different filters
From clean, bright sparkles to multicolored shine on a black and white background, you’ve got options when it comes to your Kirakira personality. The seven filters include Twinkle, Airly, Color, Shine, Bling-bling, Blare, and the titular Kirakira itself. Similar to Snapchat, you swipe left and right to change the filter.

3. You can adjust the intensity of sparkle
Whether you’re going for in-your-face shine or a barely detectable glimmer, the amount of sparkle you want to show is completely up to you, thanks to a toolbar in the top right corner. I find that with objects that are already pretty light-reflective (sequin clothing, metallic jewelry), it’s better to tone the filter down a bit so it’s not too overwhelming. On finer, smaller surfaces that are harder to pick up light (think glittery lipstick or nail decals) it makes a big difference to add an extra boost. Natural light also helps and is particularly helpful when you’re filming forward-facing, so, for selfies.

4. You can now take both videos and photos.
While the app previously only worked in video mode, a recent update allows you to take still images as well, with both the front camera and in selfie-mode. The photos and videos you take immediately save to your camera roll, so don’t be confused if it seems like nothing happened after you stop recording. Unlike Instagram videos, there’s no need to hold down the button when you’re recording, so it’s easier film.

5. Turn on the flash for extra shine
While it works best on light-emitting objects, adding extra light can dramatically help the app pick up more sparkles. In the top right corner, you can turn on your phone’s flash to help spotlight your objects in a lower-light settings.

6. It does cost money
But only 99 cents! And it’s worth its weight in comments. At the moment, the app is only available on Apple’s App Store.

7. Creator Kentaro Yama has two other apps
A-HDR and AHDR2, which are two photo-editing apps that let you create an HDR-like images from a single photo. While we haven’t tried these for ourselves yet (also at 99 cents each), we can imagine they’re pretty promising if they’re anything like Kirakira. Hey Eva Chen, want to check them out and let us know? Thanks in advance.

John Legend Just Serenaded Chrissy Teigen and Luna Over Instagram

John Legend lives up to his last name when it comes to his soulful, smooth voice: the crooner has brought us romantic, sexy feel-goods like “All of Me,” “Save Room,” and “Ordinary People.” (We don’t hate it when he brings in the ol’ piano, either.) He can also count on his family to appreciate his talent: little Luna, an arbiter of taste at just 18 months, has been known to have a good time at his concerts and get super-excited when her dad cameos on toddler classic Sesame Street. And yesterday, Chrissy and Luna got their own show when John serenaded them (over Instagram, but it was still kinda their own show). Leave it to Chrissy, however, to come back with the perfect response.

Here is the ‘gram in question. It appears to have been filmed Saturday night in what looks very much like a bathroom, the acoustics of which make his magic vocal cords even more resonant.

We all know Chrissy hates it when John doesn’t answer her calls, and this was no exception: apparently the Insta-concert didn’t make up for earlier rejected FaceTime calls (because it doesn’t, right?).

Here’s her response to his gorgeous vocals (screen-capped by HelloGiggles):

Oh, the sass. The wit. The banter. Never change, you two.

Mandy Moore Shuts Down Trolls Who Said She Photoshopped Her Instagram Photo

Mandy Moore is currently on a whirlwind press tour for NBC’s This Is Us, America’s favorite form of catharsis, in which she plays the show’s matriarch, Rebecca Pearson. It’s a role that’s made Moore the most visible she’s been in years, and with that, unfortunately, comes online trolls.

Moore brushed with a few of them last night on Instagram. The actress and singer posted a picture of herself on set at The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, encouraging people to tune in. “Love any time I get to hang with the sweetest @jimmyfallon on @fallontonight. Watch us at 11:35 on @nbc,” she wrote.

But a few people on Instagram thought Moore had digitally altered the photo to make her waist look smaller. “Why are the lines of the wood panels straight until her midsection? That’s a very clear indicator of Photoshop,” one person wrote. “Seriously, with a bicep that looks like that, Photoshop took over the waist. Unfortunate from you…no one’s waist is that thin,” wrote another.

To be clear, whether or not Moore Photoshopped her image isn’t the issue here. She has every right to present herself how she wants on social media. The problem is anonymous users on social media thinking they have the right to critique people’s bodies. All this speculation and shaming is just gross.

Moore, for the record, didn’t Photoshop this post and clapped back accordingly. “Not nice or true. Do better,” she wrote in response to one of the comments. She then updated the photo’s caption with,” I am 5’10″ and a size 6. I have NEVER Photoshopped pictures. That’s not what I’m about. If you’re going to be rude about people’s bodies, go elsewhere.”

See the post for yourself, below:

Somewhere in an alternative universe, the Big Three are cheering Moore on.
