Taylor Swift has a long history of going above and beyond for her fans. Remember that Christmas when she sent handwritten notes and personalized gifts to her Swifties? Or the house that she reportedly bought for a pregnant woman? Well, yesterday, February 23, the Reputation singer was at it again: This time, surprising a fan and his new fiancé at the couple’s engagement party.

Alex Goldschmidt and his new fiancé, Ross Girard, were celebrating their engagement at Sycamore Tavern in Hollywood when Goldschmidt instructed his friends and family to gather around for what the guests likely thought was just going to be a meaningful toast. “There was a person who is not here who sort of played a part in all of this,” Goldschmidt told his friends and family. “So I would like to welcome, and you to give a warm welcome to my friend Taylor.” And then, none other than T. Swift herself, wearing a navy floral dress, walked into the party with her guitar in hand.

Swift explained that Goldschmidt, who is an associate director at Digital Media Management, emailed her and told her that “King of My Heart” is very meaningful for him and his fiancé. “I haven’t been on tour for a while, but hopefully I’ll do alright,” Swift added before beginning an acoustic performance of the song. “So this is from Alex, but sung by me.”

The groom-to-be explained its meaning further on his Instagram account. “I decided to propose to Ross listening to this song in my car,” he wrote. “❤️ I can’t thank Taylor enough for wanting to help make this day so special. #RossAndAlexForever.”

Goldschmidt later shared more on Twitter, writing, “I have never felt so overwhelmed with love and exhaustion in my life. Thank you for all the messages. I can’t possibly respond to them all, but know that your love and support means the world to me. And holy shit, Taylor Swift is an angel who gives the best gifts.” Uh, that’s for sure.

Birthday celebrations always feel special, but for a lucky few out there, having a late-November birthday in the U.S. also means that, at one point or another, you could find yourself celebrating another turn around the sun on Thanksgiving Day. Add in the fact that it’s your golden birthday and you have yourself the makings of a pretty epic celebration. For Hailey Baldwin (or Hailey Bieber, as she’s now known on Instagram and the backs of denim jackets), her birthday was exactly that—especially when you factor in her cake surprise from the new hubby.

Hailey, who turned 22 on November 22, had a lot to be thankful for while celebrating the holiday. She and Justin were together for their first Thanksgiving as a married couple—and in front of both of their families, the singer surprised Hailey with cake. But rather than just set her cake down on the table, the Biebs took a different approach, giving his wife a, well, up-close-and-personal look at her dessert.

Lucky for us, Hailey and Justin’s families were there to document the entire messy ordeal, and the birthday girl’s adorable reaction to her husband’s cute trick. Later on, the singer brought out a second cake for Hailey—this time for eating—and the families sang “Happy Birthday” to her. After she blew out her candles, Justin gave a brief speech about her, with Mallette, capturing a few seconds of it on her Stories: “Happy birthday to the love of my life,” the singer said in the video. “She’s absolutely amazing.”

Messy cake trick aside, Hailey’s birthday seemed altogether magical. And she seemed to think so, too,taking Instagram to thank everyone for the birthday love. “Thanks for all the birthday wishes,” she said in her Insta stories. “22 is already AMAZING!!!”

It seems like we’ve been waiting forever to find out what Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra‘s celebrity couple nickname is (Niyanka? Jopra?). Now, it’s finally been revealed by the couple themselves… and it’s just a little, uh, NSFW.

Jonas sat down with Jimmy Fallon for Friday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, and at one point in the interview, Fallon asked him the question we’ve all been wondering about: What is their couple nickname?

Before Nick could answer, Priyanka piped in from off-stage with a cheeky response: “Prick!”

“She likes ‘Prick,'” Jonas confirmed with a shrug—which Fallon was vehemently not on board with. “No, absolutely not,” the host joked.

Safe to say, that’s not the couple’s actual nickname—and although they might still be workshopping their portmanteau, Jonas revealed that some of the other milestones in their relationship are going decidedly well. He opened up about the Roka ceremony they shared with their families in India shortly after they got engaged.

“After we got engaged, we went to India, to her home country, to Mumbai, and my parents came along,” he said. “We did this beautiful Roka ceremony… It’s a confirmation from both sides of the family that they approve of the engagement. There’s some beautiful prayers and a connection just for the family to have a chance to meet and hang out. It’s really incredible.”

“We both left that ceremony so full of joy,” Jonas continued. “For she and I, I think it was just nice to have that time with the family first. Have that private moment then be able to share with the world afterwards.”

According to an interview Chopra’s mom, Madhu Chopra, gave to Daily News and Analysis India, Jonas and his family have been embraced by the Chopras. “Nick enjoyed the prayers during the puja,” she told DNA. “It was a new thing for him, and he took it seriously. He followed what our panditji said and chanted the Sanskrit mantras accurately. Both he and his parents did it beautifully. They are nice people.”

Jonas and Chopra were first linked romantically earlier this year, and news of their engagement broke in July (he reportedly shut down the entire Tiffany store—à la Sweet Home Alabama—to pop the question!). Though they haven’t confirmed any details about when or where the wedding will take place, you can be sure we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears out if the couple decides to share them. The Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” policy on immigration has drawn an outcry from people across the country, and many have wondered how to help families who have been separated at the border.

One couple—Charlotte and Dave Willner from the Bay Area—faced this same question before deciding to start a Facebook fundraiser to help immigrant and refugee families access legal services in Texas. Now, that campaign has collected more than $5 million, becoming the largest single fundraiser on Facebook in history.

According to the New York Times, the Willners were moved to action by an image of a baby crying as her mother was held at the border. They set a goal of raising $1,500 for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, or Raices, a nonprofit organization that provides low-cost legal defense to people from immigrant and refugee communities. Donations began pouring in and, at one point, NBC News reports that it was collecting $4,000 per minute.

“When we look at the faces of these children, we can’t help but see our own children’s faces,” Ms. Willner told The Mercury News, according to the Times.

Jonathan Ryan, the executive director of Raices, told the Times that the organization plans to hire and fund training for volunteer lawyers, who will join the ranks of the nonprofit’s 50 lawyers on staff. In addition to legal representation, the funds will also go toward paying bonds so that parents can be released from detention centers.

The Willner’s fundraiser is just one way to help families who have been separated at the border. You can also sign up to volunteer with Raices here, or support other organizations that provide legal aid, including Arizona’s Florence Project and Refugee Rights Project. The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights and Kids In Need Of Defense (KIND) work on the rights of children caught in immigration proceedings.

The organization ActBlue has also compiled a list of organizations here. Other ways of assisting including buying essentials, like baby wipes and soap, for children. Baby2Baby and KIND have set up a registry through Target here.

It’s back to work for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, apparently. Just three days after their gorgeous royal wedding that captivated millions, the newly anointed Duke and Duchess of Sussex completed their first engagement as a married couple: at a garden party celebrating Prince Charles’ patronages ahead of his 70th birthday.

The event took place at Buckingham Palace, and Prince Harry and Markle looked gorgeous, as per usual. Markle opted for a white and cream-colored dress by British brand Goat with a dramatic peach sunhat by Philip Treacy. Prince Harry kept things simple and classic with a black suit underneath a a gold vest and powder blue tie.

It may feel like Kate Middleton and Prince William are the only parents welcoming a new baby today, but that’s not the case. In fact, one British woman gave birth at the same hospital as Middleton—and around the same time, too. As a result, she accidentally received the royal baby media treatment.

An unsuspecting couple not connected to the royal family emerged from the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital, where Middleton gave birth, on Monday (April 23), and they were met with a crowd of photographers who were all eagerly awaiting the public debut of Middleton and Prince William’s new son..

Emily Nash, a reporter for Hello! magazine, captured the shell-shocked faces of the parents holding their baby carrier and facing down the paparazzi. “Gotta feel for these new parents who have just emerged with their newborn to a sea of cameras,” Nash captioned her pic.

The Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital has been the backdrop for the first snapshots of both Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The archway with the name etched into the stone has been associated with royal babies for decades. Prince William and Prince Harry were even photographed in front of it as newborns with Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her third child on Monday morning, April 23. Kensington Palace tweeted out an official statement with a few details about the latest addition to the royal family: “The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
