Kate Beckinsale Shut Down a Troll Who Is 'Disappointed' She's Dating Pete Davidson

Kate Beckinsale isn’t here for strangers on the Internet passing judgment on her reported relationship with Pete Davidson. The Underworld actress took to Instagram over the weekend to shut down a troll who said he’s “disappointed” in her dating choices.

Here’s what happened: Beckinsale posted a selfie on Saturday, February 16, that had nothing to do with her love life, but someone in the comments section decided to make it about her love life. “Disappointed in your dating choices,” the user wrote.

Beckinsale didn’t take this lying down, though. She hit back with a little shade of her own. “Fairly let down by your wonky beard but thought possibly rude to say,” she replied. Check out this exchange, courtesy of Comments by Celebs, for yourself, below.

The comments section was soon flooded with people coming to Beckinsale‘s defense. “You don’t actually know either of them personally, and I seriously doubt you ever will,” wrote one person. “Why the hell do you care? WTF?” replied another. A third fan responded: “Your relationships are none of our business, but I do hope you find happiness because nothing is more important.”

Earlier this year Beckinsale hilariously replied to another Instagram user who shaded her relationship with Davidson. The person in question wrote, “Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson,” underneath a throwback photo of Beckinsale’s mom, to which she replied, “No that’s my mother. Easy mistake.”

Davidson and Beckinsale were first spotted chatting at a Golden Globes after-party in January. The next month they were seen holding hands leaving Davidson’s stand-up show in West Hollywood.

It’s been a few months since Davidson’s highly publicized relationship with Ariana Grande ended. The Thank U, Next singer seemingly gave Davidson’s new union her seal of approval two weeks ago. When a paparazzo asked her what she thought about Beckinsale and Davidson dating, she simply replied, “So cute!”

Gabrielle Union Just Clapped Back at a Troll Telling Her to 'Dress Her Age'

For the past couple of weeks, actress Gabrielle Union has been showing off looks from her latest upcoming collaboration with New York & Company on her Instagram, which seems to have a “eat/pray/love/travel/chill” vibe going on, in her words. Out in early January, her designs seem to encompass a range of styes, including seriously comfy (and cute) athleisure. But when she posted her latest sneak peek on Friday (December 28), a troll came for the actress with an ageist attack—and you can bet Union had the perfect response ready.

On Friday, December 28, the new mom shared a photo of herself sitting in what looks like a loose-fitting black sleeveless dress and chunky sneakers. She captioned the post: “All my unfinished work/projects from 2018 looking at me as I prepare my vision board for 2019 like ???And a glimpse of my upcoming @nyandcompany eat/pray/love/travel/chill collection available next week! Sneakers by @lining.official.”

But one user apparently wasn’t thrilled with Union’s look. Instead of keeping her thoughts to herself, she let the Bring It On star know it in the comments section: “Can you dress your age please,” they wrote.

Union—who knows her way around a clapback and, in fact, just took down a mommy-shamer on December 7—certainly wasn’t going to let that one slide. “Oh I’d loooove to hear what you think is age appropriate,” the 46-year-old actress responded. “Please gimme allll the age appropriate fashion advise I didn’t know I needed in my life.”

Union’s other followers had her back, too, dropping comments like, “Loving the look, I might steal it,” and “u look you good luv, u killed it ?.” She also got some sweet support from her friend, Khloé Kardashian, who commented this morning, “You look beautiful ?.”

Luckily, all that positivity seems to have shut the troll down. Here’s to Union’s spot-on clap-back talents, all the cute and comfortable-looking dresses a closet can hold, and Internet trolls knowing better in 2019.

Kylie Jenner Just Shut Down a Troll Who Posted Fake Travis Scott Cheating Pics

Earlier this week, obviously-very fake photos of Travis Scott cheating on Kylie Jenner made the rounds, and it turns out they were a prank orchestrated by some troll trying to “fool the Internet.” Jenner is (rightfully) peeved by this stunt, and she took to Instagram Stories last night to air her grievances.

“Idk if this is really a social experiment to some people but you’re messing with real people, real relationships, real family,” she posted next to a screen-shot of the “prank.” “I’m happy my relationship is strong because this is getting out of hand. The Internet scares me sometimes for real.”

PHOTO: Instagram

Jenner’s family, obviously, rallied behind her. “I hate that I am bringing attention to this but this is absolutely disgusting that you would find this funny to mess with Travis & Kylie who just started a family together,” Kim Kardashian tweeted. “This is really damaging to relationships, families and is just so wrong!”

Khloé Kardashian also expressed her disapproval of the incident. “People are absolutely disgusting,” she wrote, also on Twitter. “The mind games this would do to somebody… That is so completely not OK! This person should be so ashamed of themselves! What filth.” This no-doubt hits close to home for Khloé because of the cheating scandal that plagued her relationship with basketball player Tristan Thompson earlier this year.

Scott himself shut down the fake photos in a series of Instagram comments. “Only got love for my wife,” he posted. “No time to be wasting. Try again.”

Jenner and Scott welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Stormi Webster, in February 2018.

Blake Lively Had the Best Response When a Troll Told Her She Should "Fire Her Stylist"

If there are two things Blake Lively knows how to do (besides, y’know, act), it’s wear a pantsuit and troll herself on Instagram. And these special talents were on peak display this week after a “fan” suggested she fire her stylist.

On Friday, Lively posted a photo of herself on Instagram out and about in New York City earlier that week. She’s pictured wearing a plaid Roland Mouret Resort 2019 pantsuit, and in true self-deprecating form, captioned it, “Picnic anyone? I’ll bring the tablecloth…”

However, someone who apparently wasn’t a fan of the statement look to the comments to offer the star some unsolicited fashion advice. “I say this with so much love and respect for you babe, please hire a stylist or fire the one you’re currently with,” they wrote.

And Lively, who has spoken in the past about her decision to act as her own stylist, issued a fire clapback: “Thank you for the tips, sir,” she wrote. “Alas, I’ve tried to fire @blakelively so many times. But that b*tch just keeps coming back. She won’t leave me alone.”

So why doesn’t the A Simple Favor star work with a stylist, the way most of her peers do? Lively has said that styling herself is an extra outlet for creativity—plus, it’s a whole lot of fun. “I love design, and I love fashion, and it’s a way to be creative,” she explained earlier this year. “In my job I get to be creative, but it’s over a period of time and so many other people are involved, whereas this is a beginning, middle, and end, and I get to be creative and there’s an end date in the near future.”

She continued, “It’s the same reason why I like doing my friends’ hair and makeup or cooking—you get to be creative and finish it. Whereas with my job you do it, and then two years later it’s finished. It probably goes back to the control issues; it’s like, ‘OK, I did it, I completed it, it’s done!’”

Considering Blake Lively is a constant fixture on Hollywood’s “Best Dressed” lists and in the front row at Fashion Week, we’d say her “stylist” is doing just fine.

Busy Philipps Just Used Grammar to Shut Down a Body-Shaming Troll

Body-shamers just never learn. There are countless examples out there of celebrities and non-celebs alike shutting down their social media harassers with excellent comebacks. And yet, one troll still had the bright idea to make fun of Busy Philipps’ body on Tuesday (August 21).

Here’s how it all went down: On Tuesday morning, the actress uploaded a photo of herself in workout gear on a trampoline for a good cause. “Today is #TheAwesomeChallenge and my workout every morning makes me feel awesome (even on the days when I’d rather stay in bed, like today) For every post using #TheAwesomeChallenge @RocketsofAwesome will donate back-to-school clothing to a @Baby2Baby child in need. Let’s do this! TAG 3 FRIENDS!” she wrote in the caption, before tagging Jen Gotch, Tess Holliday, Kelly Oxford, Sophia Bush, and Michelle Monaghan.

Rather than following instructions and doing the “Awesome Challenge,” however, one Instagram user felt the need to comment on Philipps’ body instead. “Ughhhh, you’re rolls are showing,” he wrote, as captured by the ever-vigilant @commentsbycelebs. Big mistake. Huge. The troll soon found himself on the receiving end of a scorched-earth grammar lesson, courtesy of Philipps herself.

“I feel like a man of your age should know the difference between YOUR and YOU’RE,” Philipps wrote, according to @commentsbycelebs. “YOUR is POSSESSIVE, as in ‘YOUR rolls are showing.’ (Get it? The rolls BELONG to me.) YOU’RE is an abbreviation for YOU ARE, as in YOU’RE CLEARLY AN A**HOLE BODYSHAMING LOSER. ✌️”

It goes without saying that body-shaming is never OK. But in this case, especially, this person really, really should’ve known better. Not only does Philipps have a documented history of live-outing creeps on social media, but she’s taken on body-shamers before.

“You know how when you’re a woman, sometimes people feel like they should be able to comment about your body all the time or make laws about your body?” she said on Instagram stories back in November, according to People. “Well when you’re an actress, or any female in the public eye, everyone feels that they can comment on your body all the f*cking time. Always. The amount of people in my long, 20-year career in this industry who’ve come up to me in grocery stores and Bed Bath and Beyonds to talk with people about my weight…I think it’s a good thing to err on the side of ‘Let’s not talk to people about their bodies unless they bring it up first and they want to talk about their bodies.'”

Agreed. There are better things to do…like brushing up on your grammar.

Ryan Reynolds' Latest Blake Lively Troll Involves a Divorce Joke

Blake Lively is hard at work filming a movie, so you know what that means: Ryan Reynolds is back to his usual antics, trolling the press and his wife at the same time with some fake news about their relationship. “My wife’s been shooting a film overseas so I’ve been having a ton of time to pretend like I’m watching the kids,” the actor joked, according to E! News, at a San Diego Comic-Con panel to promote Deadpool 2 on Saturday. “She’s probably filing [divorce] papers as we speak.” As E! reported, the couple have two daughters, 3-year-old James and 1-year-old Inez.

This is far from the first time Reynolds has teased the media about his and Lively’s marriage. In March, a tabloid ran a headline that claimed the couple was “struggling to spend ‘quality time'” together. The actor immediately shut it down with a characteristically snappy tweet: “I wish,” he wrote in response. “I could use a little ‘me time.'” Then, in April, he had another cheeky comeback for a Yahoo! headline that read, “Ryan Reynolds … joins Blake Lively and his mom on red carpet after shutting down split rumors.”

“We’re never splitting. She’ll always be my mom,” he tweeted. “No matter how much jazz-cabbage she smokes with her rollerblading friends.”

Lively filming on location without her family is actually pretty unusual for her. “My husband and I don’t work at the same time, so we all go together as a family,” Lively told People last October. “If we’re away as a family, it’s never more than for a day. We stay together.” But becase the actress is shooting overseas (E! reported she’s recently been filming a thriller, The Rhythm Section, in Spain and Ireland), it would make sense if they’re making an exception because of how young their kids are.
