Chrissy Teigen's 'Headband of the Day' Series Is the Best Thing on the Internet Right Now


If you need to kill some time at the office before the weekend arrives, we have the content for you: Chrissy Teigen has been meticulously documenting each and every headband she’s worn for the past two weeks. Called “Headband of the Day” (obviously), the entire series is available on her Instagram. The riveting saga begins with Teigen welcoming her followers to gaze upon all the headbands she wears to work out. First up, a colorful printed number with bold lines and a black background. “Just wanted to update you all on my headband,” she says in the next video, in which she shows off a white floral headband at a restaurant while John Legend goes “ooh lah lah” in the background.

As the series continues, Legend starts starring in guest spots as an honorary headband commentator. “OK, in this episode of ‘what headband is Chrissy wearing,’ despite these dog ears, you can see that it’s very jungle-inspired,” he says in the next video. “She’s got green, orange, specks of gray and white, it’s gorgeous.” He even comes up with a theme song — “Headband of the day/ It’s the headband of the day/ Push your locks away/ It’s the headband of the day,” — which he reprises several times as the true magnitude of Teigen’s headband collection is revealed.

This being the golden age of #sponcon, naturally, some fans were concerned about the authenticity of Teigen’s headband enthusiasm. Turns out, it’s totally genuine. “Not an ad! All my own headbands I’ve collected through the years,” she tweeted. “I just always want to wear headbands to events and no one ever lets me so I am FREE now to do ALL THE HEADBANDS I WANT.”

She also cleared up that her love for headbands has nothing to do with aesthetics. “I don’t either,” she replied when a fan tweeted her, saying they don’t look good in headbands. “They make my forehead even bigger. I look like a moron. That is why it’s so fun. Do it.” Sounds like great inspo for your weekend lewks.

Chrissy Teigen's Reaction to Her Post-Pregnancy Stretch Marks Is So Relatable


If you’ve ever had any questions about the realities of pregnancy or motherhood, check out Chrissy Teigen’s social media feeds—chances are, you’ll find the answer, which she’ll somehow turn into something hilarious, no matter what it is. The topic she’s tackling this week? Stretch marks.

Teigen, who gave birth to her second child with John Legend, Miles, earlier this month, took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday night to show off one of the lasting side effects from her pregnancy. “No! I thought I did such a good job with my creams! My hips!” she cried in the background of the video, which panned across a series of stretch marks on her hips.

Teigen has been open about her “stretchies” in the past, once posting a photo of her inner thighs with the decidedly awesome caption, “Whatevs.” Obviously, her opinion on skin dimples still stands, which is that they are NBD and fully worthy of sharing with 1.7 million followers.

Per usual, the model hasn’t held back (like, at all) about the realities of motherhood the second time around. Though baby Miles left his mama with a few extra post-pregnancy marks, he’s at least been kind to his mama’s body in another way. In a kind-of-explicit-but-totally-real tweet shortly after Miles’s birth, she wrote, “I can confirm postpartum life is 90% better when you don’t rip to your butthole. Baby boy: 1 point. Luna: 0.” She then posted a photo of herself wearing hospital-issued, high-rise mesh underwear.

And when actor Taye Diggs recently commented on an adorable photo of baby Miles and Luna that he “wanted one,” Chrissy immediately warned him against it. “TAYE DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE INSTAPHOTOS THERE’S SO MUCH MORE TO IT,” she wrote, fully dispelling any myth that being a mom is as easy as it looks on Instagram. Oh, Chrissy. Never stop keeping it real, so that the rest of us know exactly what we’re getting into.

Kim Kardashian Roasted Kanye West on Twitter and Now Chrissy Teigen's Involved


Can you name anybody savvier at managing a public persona than Kim Kardashian? OK, fine, anybody savvier than Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian. No? Exactly. Kim is so good, she even knows when she should clarify her own jokes.

Case in point: On Tuesday afternoon, her husband, Kanye West, went on a bit of an unfiltered tweeting spree now that he’s back on Twitter, with one of his tweets catching the eye of his partner. “Sometimes you have to get rid of everything,” West tweeted, among other helpful sentiments such as “try to avoid any contractual situation where you are held back from your ideas,” and “distraction is the enemy of vision.” (It’s true! Great advice.)

“Wait…EVERYTHING?!?!?! ??” Kardashian responded. It was clearly meant to be a one-and-done joke until her next social media musing about, we don’t know, Kimoji, but Chrissy Teigen joined the conversation to keep the good times going: “I have an air mattress here and I have been itching to bust it out if you need.”

“Might need some more for the kids? Just not clear on what everything really means. I need clarity,” Kardashian retorted. “Thanks for being such a good friend. Maybe John can call and inquire? But maybe he means friends too? This is confusing.”

Now, obviously this is just banter among friends that’s meant to be humorous, but since tabloids are, well, tabloids, and haters gonna hate, hate, hate, Kardashian made a point of defending her sense of humor: “For anyone who has absolutely no humor in their soul please know my tweets are a joke and I will die laughing if I see blogs and media really think I am being serious. So don’t even try it.”

Chrissy Teigen's Search for the Perfect Baby Name Is Too Real


Chrissy Teigen, ever the queen of relatable social media, is apparently experiencing some struggles with picking out a baby name for her and husband John Legend‘s second child. There’s still plenty of time to go—she just announced their pregnancy at the end of November—but they’ve been getting a head start on figuring out exactly what they’re going to call the newborn.

Chrissy shared a list to Twitter on Friday featuring a list of gender-neutral baby names, many of which happened to be plants: Ash, Aspen, Basil, Bay, Berry, and Cedar were among them (also Blaze and Brook/Brooke). “Jesus Christ my baby will have no name,” she captioned the post (although, frankly, there are Hollywood baby names that are far more ridiculous than these).

They already know that the baby’s sex will be male, because that was the embryo that they had left after rounds of IVF, so it seems like the couple is trying right now to find a name that would fit whatever gender the child identifies as. Pretty cool, parents.

Teigen, of course, is currently in Tokyo (after the world’s worst journey to get there involving her flight’s return to LAX after four hours, police, and then a Star Wars-themed second flight). She and Legend wanted to eat sushi in the city over New Year’s Eve, which sounds way more fun than spending it in an overcrowded bar with an increasingly sticky floor, TBH. (Those staying in tonight where it’s warm and stocked with prosecco might want to check out these 20 things to stream on Netflix, BTW.) Apparently there’s been a little bit of culture shock, though:

Chrissy Teigen's Dad Gave John Legend the Most Awkward Christmas Present


Just when we think we’d do anything not to see another six-pack of socks under the tree from our parents—for us or for our S.O.—Chrissy Teigen comes through with the world’s most awkward Christmas present story that, frankly, makes us want to curl up with the socks and jot off a grateful thank-you note.

Chrissy, husband John Legend, and little Luna have all been hanging out in a very picturesque part of the desert, but apparently that didn’t stop Santa from making his delivery on time. Chrissy took to Twitter on Tuesday to show off a present that Teigen’s dad had gifted John.

On second thought, maybe “show off” isn’t the right word: Given the nature of the gift, we’re pretty sure John might be keeping this one in the back of the sock drawer. (Or not; we’re not the type to judge here!)

“Thank u dad,” Chrissy captioned the post. Ready for the surprise?

Yep, it appears to be a (very warm) knit sock for um, a penis and balls. That’s a lot to handle from a father-in-law, but it appears commenters are finding it pretty hilarious. Alternative marketing lines were suggested, along with a very improbable, but nonetheless impressive, success story. Yes, there are lots of funny penis-related comments coming up; please excuse us as we revert to our teenage selves.

“Instead of ‘heater for your peter’ it should say ‘when your willy’s feelin’ chilly,'” one clever commenter suggested.

One spoke some truth: “Your dad is a very thoughtful man.”

Another threw Chrissy’s infamous GIF into the mix:

A different user pointed to practicalities: “Realistically though, what does one get the couple that has 25 bottles of A1 Sauce?”

“Omg I got this 5 years ago for my boyfriend for Christmas ??? Now he’s my fiancé so I guess he think I’m kind of funny lol,” wrote one user. Easier to make than Engagement Chicken, we suppose. And, um, considerate?

Twitter Hilariously Granted Chrissy Teigen's Dream of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Glory


Although she already has a heap of accomplishments to her name, Chrissy Teigen—Queen of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, Empress of Twitter, Goddess of Kitchens—has conquered yet another goal on that list of hers: She’s become a Victoria’s Secret model. Well, sort of.

First things first: She’s not actually slated to walk in the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which tapes on November 21. Even so, on Saturday, she tweeted, “Crazy nervous to close the Victoria’s Secret fashion show tonight!!! Better get one last gym sesh in LOL!!!!” A little later, she encouraged her fans to check her Instagram story for further proof: “Check my instagram story !!! I am live in shanghai baby WOOOOOOOOOO”

Literally one minute went by, and she was getting impatient: “no one is answering my phone calls or emails but I am here in shanghai and ready for my fitting !!!!!!”

Of course, this is Teigen tweeting, and if there’s something we know about Teigen, it’s that she loves to carry out well-timed, Twitter trolling (and when it comes to actual trolls, she knows how to dish it out at them).

And this is when it all happens: “I wish I knew how to photoshop,” she tweeted a few minutes after her last missive. And then—and THEN: “Can someone photoshop me into this[?]” (“This” being a screenshot of a Victoria’s Secret Instagram featuring an ensemble of the models heading to Shanghai to walk in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.)
