Beyoncé’s Halloween costumes make her, without a doubt, one of the undisputed queens of the holiday. The music icon has been serving us look after look every year since 2013, and each costume is better than the last. Heidi Klum is known as Hollywood’s biggest Halloween fan, with her costume choices running the gamut each year, but Beyoncé is giving her a run for her money. She may not be in the spooky game as long as Klum has been, but her costumes are just as detailed, intricate, and fun. In fact, I need a museum of Beyoncé Halloween costumes to open up immediately. The world needs to pay proper tribute to these ensembles.
So without further ado, let’s go through Beyoncé’s Halloween costumes through the years. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so feel free to draw inspiration from Queen B for your own Halloween style. It’s only a few weeks before we see what she’s got planned for 2019.

There’s nothing like snuggling up in front of the TV and unwinding with a good memory. I can nuzzle into the wedge of my couch with a faux-fur blanket and relive my childhood spent within the halls of Bayside High, on the window seat of Clarissa’s bedroom, sitting in the cozy booths of the Peach Pit, staring at the top of Stimpy’s beautiful, red butt.
For me, the words “summer vacation” evoke more memories of Wild N Crazy Kids and Brady Bunch reruns than horseback rides at camp or jumping off docks. (I tried camp once…not enough TVs. Also, I can’t really swim, but we don’t need to get into that now.) Don’t get me wrong: I had exciting summers! I danced outside of the school gym with Zack and Kelly because her dad lost his job and she couldn’t afford to go to prom. I fainted on the treadmill with DJ when she felt she had to lose weight for Kimmy’s pool party. Wakko taught me all the state capitals, and I promptly forgot them (which is probably what he would have wanted).
I watched it all, indiscriminately, everything from Family Matters to Jerry Springer to my favorite of all time (FOAT?), The Oprah Winfrey Show. This was before our attention spans became too short for theme songs, and I can place just about any of them after hearing a few notes, or even just the lyrics spoken without a melody, as I once proved on a friend’s comedy show. (No one was as excited about this as I was, BTW.) The Who’s the Boss? theme song is deeper to me than most Shakespeare:
There is more to life than what you’re living. You take a chance and face the wind. An open road and a road that’s hidden. A brand new life
around the bend.
It brings a tear to my eye to picture that van heading to a new life at Angela’s house. This was the early ’90s—the (first) golden age of television. These shows are fucking perfect. Or…at least that’s how I felt until I started a podcast about all of this.
My Raised By TV co-host, Jon Gabrus, and I both grew up with our faces melting in front of our TVs long before the concept of “screen time” would ruin everything. This core commonality instantly shot him into sibling territory like that little shooting star from “The More You Know.” (Don’t remember a single one of those lessons, either.) Finding that person who will giddily sing the Tiny Toons theme song with you is a special thing. So we started the show raring to jump back into our pasts, to bask in unbridled, nostalgic joy, to relive beautiful moments we had spent alone and realize we actually never were because we both—along with so many others, we’ve learned—had these exact same memories.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have kept a relatively low profile since they confirmed in May they’re expecting their third child. But the Pokémon Detective Pikachu actor opened up about their relationship, slightly, on Instagram over the weekend. In a new post, Reynolds revealed the best present Lively has ever given him—and of course it’s incredibly sweet and sentimental.
“This piece of art is the greatest present my wife has ever given me,” Reynolds wrote on IG alongside a photo of himself next to a painting, which depicts a young boy delivering papers in a suburban neighborhood. It turns out the image is semi-biographical. “My first job was delivering newspapers for the Vancouver Sun. The house in the painting is my childhood home. My brothers and I spent years trying to kill each other on that lawn. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the painting, including my idol, John Candy, on the front page of the newspaper. The house no longer stands but it’s a living, breathing thing in my head.”
The painting was done by American artist Danny Galieote, who shared the photo Reynolds posted to his own Instagram with the caption, “I am honored and humbled to announce that I created this painting for the man, Mr. Ryan Reynolds @vancityreynolds. (He posted this last evening and I officially have permission to mention it.) It was really such an honor to make this meaningful, personal piece for him (commissioned by his amazing wife, Blake Lively)…I’m really very VERY proud to have made this painting for them. With much gratitude. Cheers to you, Ryan and Blake.”
“If there’s ever a fire, I’m grabbing this first. I’ll come back for Blake,” Reynolds also joked in his caption.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively confirmed their third pregnancy not by words, but with a red carpet look. Lively attended the New York City premiere of Pokémon Detective Pikachu earlier this summer wearing a yellow dress that showed off her growing baby bump (see above). And just like that a viral moment was born.
Kanye West pulled out all the stops for Valentine’s Day this year, gifting Kim Kardashian West with a surprise live performance by Kenny G in their house. The setup was romantic: West placed several rose vases on the floor and centered Kenny G in the middle, where he played some tunes on the saxophone.
But Twitter quickly noticed something was off about the display. If Kenny G was in the middle of the room surrounded by glass vases, how would he eventually get out? The joke that he was somehow trapped in the Kardashian-West house quickly caught on, with even Chrissy Teigen chiming in.
“Did Kenny have to stand there while the flowers were being set up? How did he get out? We need more info on Kenny,” the Cravings author tweeted shortly after Kardashian shared a video of her surprise. I can’t!
See her A-plus tweet for yourself, below:
“Kanye West’s gift to [Kim Kardashian] was to capture Kenny G and hold him in a room of their house,” one person joked on Twitter. “He is forbidden from taking breaks and must remain standing, playing his romantic sax. If even a single vase of roses is overturned, an alarm will sound.” Someone else wrote: “Kenny G is 100% trapped in the Kardashian/West house and is sending out an SOS with this video.”
Check out some more reactions from people on this hilarious train:
Is Kenny G OK? Someone needs to check on his ASAP.
Chrissy Teigen didn’t share much about her own Valentine’s Day plans, but the Wests posted theirs all over social media. “Happy Valentines Day babe!!! I love you so much,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram to West alongside some throwback photos.
“He really is the most romantic, sweetest person I’ve ever met in my entire life,” she also said about her rapper husband back in 2013.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’sfirst child won’t be here until spring 2019, but he or she is already a celebrity in their own right. In keeping with the news frenzy surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s announcement, Entertainment Tonight has unearthed an old interview from Hello! magazine in which Markle revealed she already has a present in store for her unborn child.
“I’ve always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch,” she told Hello! back in 2015. “When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season—which, at the time, felt like such a milestone—I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version.”
While that’s already quite a fitting gift for a tiny royal-to-be (ET discovered it retails for around $6,900), it’s what she says next that might clue us in to Markle and Prince Harry’s baby name choices.
“I had it engraved on the back, ‘To M.M. From M.M,'” she added. “And I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.”
Markle wore the watch back in 2013. Check it out for yourself, below:

If Markle decides to stick with what she said in the interview, then she might be thinking about naming the child something that starts with ‘M’ (and maybe even with a matching middle name) to make the inscription all the more special. Of course, the duchess could have changed her mind since then (and it’d be a cool gift even if the baby’s initials aren’t M.M.), but it’s something to keep in mind as you place your baby name bets.
Apparently North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is already well on her way to embracing the KarJenner lifestyle—which involves, among other things, very nice bags. The almost-5-year-old has officially become the proud owner of a $750 Alexander Wang Marti Micro leopard print shoulder bag, which retails for a casual $750 and includes plenty of room for crayons and other preschooler essentials.
North, the oldest of the Kardashian-West kids, received the handbag from its designer, Alexander Wang, who sent the gift to the toddler in advance of her fifth birthday.
“North, happy birthday! Every girl needs a lil sparkle. Hope you <3 it. Alex,” the note accompanying the gift read. (Alex, if you’re reading this: My birthday’s in December, I’m approaching my late 20s, and like you said, every girl needs a little sparkle.)
On Friday, Kim Kardashian West posted the gift to her Instagram Stories, showing off her daughter’s brand-new designer item. “Oh my God, North is the luckiest girl in the world,” she says in the video. “Who gets like, this bag from Alexander Wang? I wanna steal it. Alex, thank you so much. I might steal this.”
But that wasn’t all: Kim also showed off another smaller clutch in the video, this one embellished with tiny crystals. “Wait, look at this Wang bag that North got,” the TV star said. “I cannot even believe it. Love it.”
