Chrissy Teigen Just Roasted Kim Kardashian for Her Extravagant Valentine's Day Present


Kanye West pulled out all the stops for Valentine’s Day this year, gifting Kim Kardashian West with a surprise live performance by Kenny G in their house. The setup was romantic: West placed several rose vases on the floor and centered Kenny G in the middle, where he played some tunes on the saxophone.

But Twitter quickly noticed something was off about the display. If Kenny G was in the middle of the room surrounded by glass vases, how would he eventually get out? The joke that he was somehow trapped in the Kardashian-West house quickly caught on, with even Chrissy Teigen chiming in.

“Did Kenny have to stand there while the flowers were being set up? How did he get out? We need more info on Kenny,” the Cravings author tweeted shortly after Kardashian shared a video of her surprise. I can’t!

“Kanye West’s gift to [Kim Kardashian] was to capture Kenny G and hold him in a room of their house,” one person joked on Twitter. “He is forbidden from taking breaks and must remain standing, playing his romantic sax. If even a single vase of roses is overturned, an alarm will sound.” Someone else wrote: “Kenny G is 100% trapped in the Kardashian/West house and is sending out an SOS with this video.”

Chrissy Teigen didn’t share much about her own Valentine’s Day plans, but the Wests posted theirs all over social media. “Happy Valentines Day babe!!! I love you so much,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram to West alongside some throwback photos.

“He really is the most romantic, sweetest person I’ve ever met in my entire life,” she also said about her rapper husband back in 2013.

'SNL' Epically Roasted Cast Member Pete Davidson About His Summer With Ariana Grande


A lot has happened for SNL‘s Pete Davidson since the show’s 43rd season finale back in May: The cast member got engaged to one of the biggest stars on the planet (cough cough Ariana Grande) and has consequently been in the limelight quite a bit more often. It’s a chain of events that apparently made him ripe for a little playful ribbing from his fellow cast members during the show’s 44th season premiere on Saturday night.

In a pre-recorded sketch, Davidson’s fellow cast mate Kyle Mooney laments that he thought 2018 would be his year to become one of the most recognizable names on SNL, but then, he says, “this summer happens.” Much to Mooney’s frustration, Davidson has suddenly become best friends with the show’s creator, Lorne Michaels, and walks around studio 8H like he owns the place.

“I feel like this year I’ve gotta make a statement, so I’m gonna change things up a bit,” Mooney confesses to the camera, before going in for a full Davidson-inspired makeover.

He shows up to the first day of work an entirely new man, complete with a blond dye job, a wardrobe of graphic sweatshirts, and a pet pig.

“I love this, bro,” Mooney tells the camera. “People are finally starting to take me seriously. Now all I need is a hot celebrity girlfriend, and that’s fine by me.” He then shows up in the writers room with a list of demands and guest star Wendy Williams on his arm.

Davidson confronts Mooney about his copycat transformation—and it looks like there’s only room for one Pete Davidson on the show. The pair challenge each other to a Gladiator-style duel (in which episode host Adam Driver also becomes an unintended casualty) that ends with Davidson impaling Mooney with a sword.

Though Davidson came out the victor in this particular sketch, things for him weren’t all positive during the season’s premiere episode: During his turn on “Weekend Update,” he made a joke about replacing Ariana Grande‘s birth control with Tic Tacs, which many fans felt was “tone deaf” and “insensitive.”

Kylie Jenner Put Milk in Her Cereal for the First Time Ever and Immediately Got Roasted on Twitter


In her 21 years on this earth, Kylie Jenner has starred on a reality TV show, started a nearly billion-dollar company, and welcomed a daughter. Until this week, however, one major thing she hadn’t done was put milk in a bowl of cereal. If you’re shocked, flabbergasted, and/or appalled, you’re not alone: Twitter users shared all those reactions and more after Jenner announced on Tuesday (September 18) evening that she’d tried the iconic duo for the first time ever the previous night.

The saga began with a simple tweet. “Last night i had cereal with milk for the first time. life changing,” she wrote, then explained in a quick follow-up, “i always liked cereal dry i never bothered to put milk.” The Twitterverse was instantly stunned but, of course, quickly gathered its thoughts and began bombarding Jenner with questions. Type of cereal? “Cinnamon Toast Crunch. amazing,” she replied. Type of milk? “Regular,” Jenner answered. Order in which she poured the ingredients in her bowl? “Cereal first.” All correct answers; Jenner may be new to the wild world of milky cereal, but at least she got it absolutely perfect the first time around.

In the end, while Jenner revealed that she hasn’t given up on her beloved bone-dry cereal, she did admit “milk was cool.” And there you have it.

Besides all those probing questions, Twitter users also sent Jenner suggestions for the next basic food combos she should try, with Seth Rogen even jumping in to recommend a PB&J. Groundbreaking! Others pointed out that although Jenner previously pronounced 2016 the “year of, like, realizing stuff,” she seems to have upheld that old New Year’s resolution for three years running. Others were so baffled by Jenner’s admission that they searched for something, anything, to make sense of it, with a few landing on a complex conspiracy theory that connects older sister Kim Kardashian West‘s recent discovery of hit 2014 podcast Serial with Jenner’s recent breakfast discovery. Spooky stuff.

John Legend Just Achieved EGOT Status—So Chrissy Teigen Obviously Roasted Him


Chrissy Teigen loves to roast John Legend. She’s been doing it for years now. The Cravings author never misses an opportunity to throw some (playful) shade at her singer husband—and last night’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards was no exception. At the ceremony, Legend scooped up a trophy for his producing work on Jesus Chris Superstar Live in Concert—making him the youngest person and first black man to achieve EGOT status—which is an incredible feat. Obviously, Teigen was proud and posted accordingly on social media. “EGOT GOATS,” she captioned over a photo of Legend and his JCS teammates Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

She also put this sweet pic on Instagram and wrote, “My incredible man. What a surreal life.”

But it wasn’t before long that the roasting kicked in. Shortly after her nice congratulatory posts, Teigen uploaded a video to Instagram of Legend placing his Emmy on a shelf. That’s all well and good, but she captioned it, “And I say hey, what a wonderful kind of day,” a.k.a lyrics to the Arthur theme song.

Context: It’s been a long-running joke on the Internet that Legend looks like Arthur, something Teigen herself has indulged many, many times.

Seriously: Many times.

Teigen wrapped up her EGOT commentary with this video of Legend making pancakes in honor of his win. “What are you doing?” Teigen asks in the video. “Making EGOT pancakes,” he replies. “You got pancakes?” she says back, jokingly. And this is why the Internet is obsessed with them.

Kim Kardashian Roasted Kanye West on Twitter and Now Chrissy Teigen's Involved


Can you name anybody savvier at managing a public persona than Kim Kardashian? OK, fine, anybody savvier than Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian. No? Exactly. Kim is so good, she even knows when she should clarify her own jokes.

Case in point: On Tuesday afternoon, her husband, Kanye West, went on a bit of an unfiltered tweeting spree now that he’s back on Twitter, with one of his tweets catching the eye of his partner. “Sometimes you have to get rid of everything,” West tweeted, among other helpful sentiments such as “try to avoid any contractual situation where you are held back from your ideas,” and “distraction is the enemy of vision.” (It’s true! Great advice.)

“Wait…EVERYTHING?!?!?! ??” Kardashian responded. It was clearly meant to be a one-and-done joke until her next social media musing about, we don’t know, Kimoji, but Chrissy Teigen joined the conversation to keep the good times going: “I have an air mattress here and I have been itching to bust it out if you need.”

“Might need some more for the kids? Just not clear on what everything really means. I need clarity,” Kardashian retorted. “Thanks for being such a good friend. Maybe John can call and inquire? But maybe he means friends too? This is confusing.”

Now, obviously this is just banter among friends that’s meant to be humorous, but since tabloids are, well, tabloids, and haters gonna hate, hate, hate, Kardashian made a point of defending her sense of humor: “For anyone who has absolutely no humor in their soul please know my tweets are a joke and I will die laughing if I see blogs and media really think I am being serious. So don’t even try it.”

'SNL' Just Roasted E! Network's Coverage of the Golden Globes


SNL has been known to deliver comedic gold when it comes to crafting skits around zeitgeist-y political and cultural topics—and the episode that aired this weekend was no exception. Where it really shone, though, was when it came time for a skit about E! and what famously went down on the Golden Globes red carpet this past weekend.

ICYMI, E! has been in the headlines recently as a result of a wage gap between its male and female employees. The news first came to light at the end of last year, when longtime E! News host Catt Sadler announced she was abruptly leaving the network after learning that her colleague, male co-host Jason Kennedy, was making nearly double her own salary—despite the fact that the pair had begun working at the network at the same time and juggled comparable workloads.

SNL tends to turn its sharp wit on situations like this, so it naturally devoted one of its sketches to poking fun at the celebrity news network and the difference between the questions it was finally asking actresses on the red carpet and its usual coverage (more about work, less about their outfits). The result? Cringe-y (because these are the times we live in)—but also pretty hilarious.

The hilarious skit begins a Fashion Police-style program titled “The Look” dedicated to dissecting the Golden Globes red carpet (a clear reference to the network’s trademark awards show fashion coverage). But as soon as the male and female co-hosts start the segment, you know the skit is gearing up for an onslaught of gender inequality-based jabs.

It starts when a male and female cohost decide to proclaim their salaries in unison, only to discover—while on air—that the male anchor’s salary is significantly higher than the female anchor’s (a clear throw to Sadler’s recent departure). From there, the anchors attempt real-time commentary on red carpet looks—without actually commenting on anything being worn. “The times are changing and we’re trying to keep up,” Cecily Strong’s character says at one point. “I’m so out of breath.”
