Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have been estranged ever since earlier this year, when news broke that he and Kylie Jenner‘s best friend, Jordyn Woods, kissed at a party. The two of them play nice for the sake of their daughter, True, but they very much are not a couple right now. Remember in April, when that video of Kardashian ignoring Thompson at True’s first birthday party went viral? That about sums up their relationship status.
But something happened on this week’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians that’s even more awkward. In one scene, we see Kardashian FaceTiming True and Thompson from Connecticut. When Thompson ends the conversation by saying, “I love you,” Kardashian’s response is a bit tense. All she says is “Thank you.”
The reply is so icy, in fact, that Kardashian’s friend Malika Haqq calls her out for it. “I love you. ‘Thank you,'” she says in the clip, laughing.
“I don’t know what to say,” Kardashian says. “I just think now, I’ve already seen how this ride goes, and I don’t enjoy it. Why would I want to do it for a third time?”
Watch this go down for yourself in the video, below. The episode aired this past Sunday on E!
Khloé Kardashian has been quite open with her followers and fans about the Tristan Thompson-Jordyn Woods situation. “This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time,” she tweeted shortly after the incident happened.
The reality star continued, “What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault. I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True.”
Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs Sundays at 9 P.M. on E!
Now, the moment has finally arrived. In a new clip from Sunday’s upcoming finale, we get to see the moment Kim Kardashian learns about the scandal and quickly loops in Kourtney, Khloé, and Kylie on an epic conference call. Kim is waiting to film some of her confessional interviews, just as she was the first time a cheating story about Thompson broke: “My friend Larsa [Pippen] called me to explain that a reporter that she knows was about to write a story that Jordyn and Tristan were at his home last night, or until 7 in the morning,” she says. “They said they were, like, making out and I immediately didn’t believe it. You know, I was, like, this can’t be true.”
We then see her on a call with Khloé and Kourt, where Khloé says she has talked to Jordyn. “It’s really weird,” she says. “She’s not giving me all the information. She was like, ‘He was trying to kiss me…’ and was like, ‘I can’t remember if we did or didn’t.'” This is when Kylie gets looped in and learns the allegation about Jordyn sitting on Tristan’s lap.

It’s all pretty dramatic—and this seems like just the tip of the iceberg. As anyone who’s been following the story knows, Thompson and Khloé broke up. Woods eventually moved out of Kylie’s house in the aftermath, and later appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk to tell her side of the story. (There have been rumors that Woods and Kylie are hanging out again.)

Khloé Kardashian threw her daughter, True, an epic first birthday party over the weekend. The pastel-colored bash was extravagant, to say the least—filled with balloons, cotton candy vendors, butterfly decorations, and actual ponies (dressed as unicorns, of course).
But the moment getting everyone’s attention isn’t exactly a happy one. True’s father and Kardashian’s estranged boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, attended the party as well, and in one Snapchat post it appears she completely gives him the cold shoulder.
It happened while Kardashian was posing for a video selfie with True. Thompson attempts to cut in, but Kardashian doesn’t speak to him or even look in his direction. Instead, she just walks away and starts talking to someone else at the party.
It’s unclear if this is the first time Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have seen each other since the cheating scandal with Jordyn Woods broke in February. (Click here for a refresh on that ordeal.)
Check out the moment from True’s party for yourself, below.
To play devil’s advocate, this is a brief snippet from what looked like an hours-long party. We can’t really deduce anything about Kardashian and Thompson’s relationship from a 30-second video. And this moment aside, everyone seemed to be in great spirits the whole day. Thompson eventually got his video with True:
“My princess❤️❤️ I love you soo much,” the NBA star posted to his Instagram.
Kardashian also published a tribute on her IG. “Happy birthday my sweet True,” she wrote. “You are my ultimate True love! I am honored and so thankful to be your mommy! Today and until the end of time, I love you!! We have forever.”
The Good American designer hasn’t directly said much about the situation involving Woods and Thompson, but in early March she tweeted, “This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time. What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.”
If you haven’t heard about the Khloé Kardashian-Tristan Thompson-Jordyn Woods cheating scandal yet, there’s a lot going on (also, welcome back from whatever deserted island you escaped to). Basically, Thompson, who’s been caught cheating before, and Woods—Kylie Jenner’s now-former BFF—allegedly kissed at a house party. The details are still vague, but it’s safe to say that Kardashian isn’t thrilled about what happened. She’s talked about the situation on social media several times—either explicitly referencing it or being a little less direct with a caption or quote we can read between the lines of. Below, a comprehensive list of all the times she’s mentioned (or hinted at) the drama:
Times She’s Explicitly Talked About the Scandal
A week after this story broke, on February 26, she posted a thank-you to her supportive followers on Twitter: “Hi loves, wanted you to know that I appreciate you! ?? I’ve been reading your kind words and they really are a blessing to me. I love you! Thank you Thank you! I’ll be back when I’m in the mood to chat with you all. Until then remember to be kind to one another ?”
She also (very problematically) called out Woods on March 1 after the latter went on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk to share her side of the story. “Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!”
She followed that up with some clarification. “Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child,” she tweeted. “Regardless of what he does to me I won’t do that to my daughter. He has been addressing this situation PRIVATELY. If Tristan were to lie publicly about what conspired, then yes I would address him publicly as well.”
Kardashian seems to have realized that didn’t quite hit the right note, either, and came back with another message on March 2: “This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.”
She continued, laying the blame squarely on Thompson. “What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me,” she tweeted. “Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.”
“I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True,” she finished.
Times She Might Have Hinted At It
On February 19, she commented on a post from Hollywood Unlocked’s Instagram about the incident with several speaking-head emojis. Her friend Malika Haqq also commented with “HARD FACTS.” Fans at the time took this as Kardashian confirming the rumor.
Kardashian has also posted several quotes to Instagram Story that may or may not be about this situation. On March 16, she uploaded a quote about deciding you want better for yourself and never looking back:

But the most telling IG Story update came on February 21 when she posted these three quotes:

Two days later, she shared this quote saying it’s not our job to fix “fucked up” people.

Alongside messages addressing shame and resilience.
“I was drunk. I was not tipsy. I was drunk, but I was not beyond the point of recollection. I know where I was. But on the way out, he did kiss me. No passion—no nothing—on the way out. He just kissed me. It was a kiss on the lips, but no tongue kiss, no making out. Nothing. And I don’t think he’s wrong, either, because I allowed myself in that position. And when alcohol’s involved, people make dumb moves or people get caught up in the moment.
“I didn’t know how to feel. I was like, That didn’t just happen. I was leaving already, so I walked out immediately after. And I got in the car and I was like, No, that didn’t happen. I was just like, I need to go. I was in shock. I was more so like, Did this really [happen]? I was like, Hmmm, let me just pretend like that didn’t happen…. That’s where I’ll take responsibility to where I can’t be doing that…. Because there’s so much history involved, I wasn’t thinking right. I take full responsibility for that.”
Why did Thompson do it? “I’m there until the sun’s coming up. He’s like maybe, Let me just shoot my shot.”
What Woods did the next day. “I had talked to Kylie and Khloé in the morning. I told them I was there. I had talked to Khloé, and she asked me what was going on. Is everything fine? And in my head of trying to forget that part of the story, I was just like, ‘No, he was chillin’. Everything was OK. There were girls there, but he wasn’t all over the girls.'”

Why did Woods lie? “I was honest about being there, but I wasn’t honest about the actions that had taken place. I just knew how much turmoil was going on that I was like, Let me not just throw more fuel on the fire. I know I was trying to protect Khloé’s heart. She doesn’t deserve this, either. People have even dehumanized her in this situation to where they can’t feel for her. And it’s not fair that she has to deal with this, either. The last thing I wanted to do was be that person.
“I’m no home-wrecker. I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love and someone who has a beautiful daughter. I never was trying to steal someone’s man. I don’t need your situation. I really just hurt so many more people by not telling the truth.”
Does Woods blame herself for why Thompson and Kardashian aren’t together? “I know I’m not the reason that Tristan and Khloé are not together. This situation may have made it harder for her to want to be with him, and I understand that. But I know I’m not the reason.”
Did she consider having sex with Thompson? “Never. Never a thought. Never a consideration. Never happened. And never will I. And that’s why I’m willing to be put up to the test. Attach me to a lie detector, whatever it is. I need people to know the truth and, more importantly, I need the people involved to know the truth.”
Has she talked to Thompson since since? “There has been no communication with Tristan. No relationship over time. There’s been no relationship. No communication. No plans on meeting up. No conversation. Nothing.”
Woods says her intention wasn’t to hurt anyone. “I think if that [was] the case, I wouldn’t have been friends with these people for so long. Now I have to deal with my family and all the people I hurt. That family also has to deal with the hurt. This story that didn’t have to be what it was turned into, the biggest scandal or betrayal of the year. I’ve seen what has been been done to my life in only a week based on how the media circulates. They don’t put their focus on the real-world problems. They’re putting their focus on a young black woman who made a mistake, and not a mistake that’s worth public crucifixion. It’s a mistake that should’ve been dealt with internally.”
How Woods coped with the aftermath. “The first few days of this were definitely the hardest. I couldn’t eat. I didn’t eat for days. I couldn’t look at my phone, even. I would just try to sleep and wake up and hope this wouldn’t be true. Every day it was a new headline. Every time you refreshed the page, it was another person bullying me or wishing death upon me or telling me something like, ‘Your father deserved to die.’ I may have done something wrong, but whatever I did, I don’t think I deserve this.”
Since the Harvey Weinstein story broke in the fall of 2017, a steady stream of powerful (and often famous) men have been accused of sexual misconduct. But the era of #MeToo has also seen a cycle of redemption and comebacks for some of these accused men. Louis C.K. is back doing stand-up. Ousted CBS chief Les Moonves is already working on a new venture. Brett Kavanaugh is sitting on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Now Emma Thompson has reportedly quit an upcoming film project over the hiring of one such man: John Lasseter, the former chief creative officer of Pixar. Allegations about Lasseter first became public knowledge in November 2017, though claims of a “whisper network” surrounding him existed for much longer, after he was accused of “grabbing, kissing, making comments about physical attributes.”
Lasseter apologized for his behavior, saying, “I’ve recently had a number of difficult conversations that have been very painful for me. It’s never easy to face your missteps, but it’s the only way to learn from them.” Then, this January, he was hired as the head of Skydance Animation, which is set to produce the film Luck.
That’s where Emma Thompson comes in. The actress was slated to voice one of the characters, but Variety confirms that she dropped out of the project after Lasseter’s hiring. Skydance has not commented on the departure.
She may not have released a big statement about this decision, but it’s major that a Hollywood A-lister of Thompson’s caliber is walking away from what is likely a lucrative deal in response to the hiring of a man with sexual harassment allegations. This is one powerful way allies in positions of influence can show support for the survivors who have been brave enough to speak out about inappropriate behavior.
