Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Had the Most Awkward Kiss Cam Moment at a Basketball Game

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West attended the NBA All-Star game on Sunday (February 16) and had a slightly awkward moment on the jumbotron. When cameras pointed to Kim in the audience, she smiled and blew a kiss—looking as chic as ever—but then things turned hilariously cringe-y when she went to kiss Kanye. The rapper clearly didn’t notice Kim was going in for a smooch because he just sat next to her, totally expression-less. It’s truly so, so good.

See it for yourself in the Twitter video, below:

People on Twitter are, naturally, living for this moment. Below, just a few reactions:

Of course, you shouldn’t read too much into this. It’s clear Kanye wasn’t aware Kim was trying to kiss him. If he was, things probably would’ve panned out differently. Some fans pointed out that, despite being such an open couple, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West don’t really do much PDA in the traditional sense.

“I don’t think he was paying attention lol y’all make something out of anything,” one person tweeted. Another wrote, “He’s obsessed with her. I’m sure he wasn’t paying attention lol.”

Kim’s had a string of viral moments lately. Earlier in February, the internet went bananas over her children’s playroom, which includes a mini-supermarket and concert stage.

“You guys always say my house is so minimal—well, you guys haven’t seen my playroom,” she said on Instagram Story before giving a tour of the space. And in January, people were just as infatuated with Kim’s fridge, which is walk-in. “I saw a bunch of comments from people wondering what I feed my four children,” she wrote in an Instagram Stories caption. “And since you guys are dying to know, here a little peak [sic] inside our main fridge filled with lots of fruits and veggies!”

It’s only a matter of time before the next viral Kardashian moment comes rolling in.

Why University of Notre Dame Women's Basketball Coach Muffet McGraw Says She'll Only Hire Women

It’s a pretty big weekend in the world of college basketball: Both the women’s and men’s national champions will be decided over the course of the coming days. The University of Notre Dame‘s women’s team (who also happen to be the reigning champs) secured a spot to play against Baylor University for the title by defeating the University of Connecticut on Friday night (April 5).

Their head coach, Muffet McGraw, is no stranger to the big stage, and at a press conference ahead of Friday’s game, she used her platform to powerfully speak out about gender inequality, both in the world of sports and beyond. She was asked about recent comments she made to Think Progress about how she would never hire another man. Naturally, she was more than ready with a reply.

“Did you know that the Equal Rights Amendment was introduced in 1967, and it still hasn’t passed?” she said. “We need 38 states to agree that discrimination on the basis of sex is unconstitutional. We’ve had a record number of women running for office and winning. And still, we have 23 percent of the House and 25 percent of the Senate.”

“I’m getting tired of the novelty of … the first female governor of this state. The first female African-American mayor of this city,” she said. “When is it going to become the norm instead of the exception? How are these young women looking up and seeing someone that looks like them, preparing them for the future? We don’t have enough female role models. We don’t have enough visible women leaders. We don’t have enough women in power. Girls are socialized to know, when they come out, gender roles are already set. Men run the world. Men have the power. Men make the decisions. It’s always the man that is stronger one.”

It’s a problem she sees first-hand in her sport and profession, but as a head coach, she has the very real opportunity and power to do things differently. McGraw has employed an all-female coaching staff for the past seven years. “When you look at men’s basketball and 99% of the jobs go to men, why shouldn’t 100% or 99% of the jobs in women’s basketball go to women?” she said. “Maybe it’s because we only have 10% women athletic directors in Division I. People hire people who look like them. That’s the problem.”

Watch her full response below:

By the way, not only is McGraw a feminist who’s utilizing her position to empower other women, but she’s also a helluva a dancer. This clip was captured after the team’s semifinal victory, but honestly, women supporting women is always a win.

Kendall Jenner Straight-Up Booed Tristan Thompson at His Basketball Game

When things get tough, you can usually count on your friends and family to get you through. Such is the case for the Kardashian-Jenner family, who seem to have a formal pact to always have each others’ backs when it comes to the drama in their lives—and, well, there tends to be a lot of it. In the wake of the Tristan Thompson-cheating situation, that’s never been truer, with Kim Kardashian calling out the father of Khloé‘s kids for not being sorry about cheating on Khloé while she was days away from giving birth.

And it looks like Kendall Jenner‘s taken up the fight, too: She was captured by a basketball fan at Friday night’s 76ers game against the Cleveland Cavaliers—her boyfriend plays on the former, and Thompson from the latter. This, needless to say, made the game a little more interesting.

A fan in the crowd managed to capture one moment on her phone: the classic moment Jenner starts booing Thompson at the free throw line.

And guess who noticed it? Khloé wrote her response to the video on Twitter with a good dose of humor. “Look at my baby heckler ?? I’m dying at Kenny trying to heckle on the low low! #ItDidntWork,” she wrote.

It’s safe to say she’s probably had a little bit of a stressful Thanksgiving this year, which she spent in Cleveland with Thompson and their daughter True. And we don’t mean cooking stress: Instead, social media followers were hounding her about why she didn’t spend dinner with her family back home and speculating about drama between her and her sisters.

She dealt an efficient clap back on Twitter late Friday night, reminding people that it a) wasn’t unusual for her to spend Thanksgiving in Cleveland and b) calling out users for trying to stir up drama.

“Y’all are reaching now. I’ve spent the past 3years in Cleveland for Thanksgiving,” she wrote. “Not sure why people are trying to create drama between my family and I. My sisters and I are perfectly fine thank you! All of their families were able to travel but TT being in season, he can not.”

Fair enough: We’re not in the relationship with those two—and the only people who can decide how they want to contextualize their relationship is Khloé and Tristan.

But still, Jenner booing him at the game? A classic reminder that sisters will always have your back.

Basketball Fans Chanted 'Khloé!' During Tristan Thompson's Game Last Night

I hate all sports, but there’s one basketball game I’m livid I didn’t attend: the Toronto Raptors–Cleveland Cavaliers match on Tuesday night (May 1), where people started chanting Khloé Kardashian’s name to throw off Tristan Thompson.

Tristan, if you don’t know, is a power forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s also Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend who reportedly cheated on her just days before she gave birth to their daughter, True. Kim Kardashian more or less confirmed this on The Ellen DeGeneres show last week when she said Khloé’s doing “the best she can” and that her situation is just “so fucked up.” Regardless of the truth, though, fans are using this story as a way to throw off Thompson’s basketball performance—and that’s the kind of petty drama I live for.

So here’s what happened. Right before Thompson shot his free throws in the playoff game against the Raptors last night, a wave of people in the crowd began shouting, “Khloé! Khloé! Khloé!” But did the intimidation work? Not exactly: Thompson made his throws, and the Cavs ultimately won the game 113–112. Watch this go down for yourself, below:

Win or lose, Twitter is cheering for these (apparently) TMZ-obsessed sports fans. And I am too. Had I known I could talk celebrity gossip at a basketball game, I would’ve attended way more. Here are some hilarious responses to the drama that we found:

This is almost as good as when someone brought a “We love Khloé” sign to a Cavs game last month.

Khloé hasn’t commented on this situation yet, but something tells me she’ll have millions of people in her corner when she does. And they’ll chant for her loudly.

Katy Perry Attempts to Play Basketball in the 'Swish Swish' Video

PHOTO: KatyPerryVEVO/Youtube

Choosing to unveil her newest music video on a day that’s also dominated by the return of another popular female musician, Katy Perry nonetheless gave her all in the video for “Swish Swish,” which features a whole lot of basketballs and a strange mix of celebrities.

The video for the Witness single finds the inexperienced Perry and her Tiger team—including one of those adorable Stranger Things kids!—forced to play a basketball game against the very jacked-up Sheep, and the first half goes about as well as you’d expect: Perry trips a bunch of times, flails around, and generally has no idea what the concept of a basketball is. (She even gets an IV drip of something called “Kobe Sweat.”) But after a much-needed wake the hell up, girl from featured rapper Nicki Minaj at halftime, things start to look up for these feisty felines. Who knows? They might even stand a chance at winning.

While Perry has never confirmed that “Swish Swish” was written as a Taylor Swift diss track, the song’s many double-entendre references and lyrics—such as “don’t come for me” and “your game is tired, you should retire”—certainly point to that possibility, owing to the duo’s highly-publicized, multi-year feud.

“I think it’s a great anthem for people whenever someone’s trying to hold you down or bully you,” Perry explained while doing some late-night rounds this summer. “‘Swish Swish’ represents the liberation from all the negative that doesn’t serve you.” With their bad blood seemingly a thing of the past, though, who knows what the next era of Swirry could bring forth. A performance at this weekend’s VMAs, perhaps?
