Jennifer Aniston Says She'll Never Stop Coloring Her Hair: 'I Don't Want Gray'


Jennifer Aniston might have moved past her famous Rachel cut, but there’s one thing she says she’s never changing about her hair: her regular appointments with her colorist.

In a new interview with InStyle magazine, the actress admitted that she no intention of ever going gray.

The interview was part of the Instyle‘s October beauty issue, in which the publication asked Aniston about her favorite beauty tips and routines. At one point in the conversation, the reporter noted that in Aniston’s new Apple+ TV series The Morning Show she plays an ambitious television host with “perfectly highlighted tresses.” To this, Aniston confided that “she plans to keep her monthly colorist appointments until the bitter end.”

She added, “I’m not gonna lie — I don’t want gray hair.”

The gray hair topic is especially interesting because Aniston, who just turned 50, also opened up about how she thinks society should address beauty and aging. “Fifty was the first time I thought, ‘Well, that number,’ ” Aniston says. “I don’t know what it is because I don’t feel any different. Things aren’t shutting down in any way. I feel physically incredible. So it’s weird that it’s all of a sudden getting telegraphed in a way that’s like, ‘You look amazing for your age.’ I think we need to establish some etiquette around that dialogue and verbiage.”

She might not want gray hair, but she did have a lot to say about maintaining soft, glowing skin. “I think it’s because my mom told me to start moisturizing when I turned 15,” she said. “I’ve been using Aveeno since I was a teenager.” She also shared that her skin standbys include a daily glass of celery juice, superfood supplements, and a 24-karat-gold sculpting bar made by the makeup artist Jillian Dempsey. “It feels so damn good to put oil on your face and just roll.”

Kim Cattrall on Why She'll 'Never' Be in Another Sex and the City Movie


If you’re one of those Sex and the City stans still holding out hope for a SATC 3 with the full cast…sorry, friend. Kim Cattrall has made it clear that she will never, ever participate in Sex and the City 3. Of course, Cattrall—who brought PR exec by day, heartbreaker by night Samantha Jones to life—has long been outspoken about not wanting to return to the beloved franchise, but a recent interview with The Daily Mail is the most definitive she’s been yet.

When asked if she would appear in another SATC film, she told the publication, “Never. It’s a no from me.”

She then added, “You learn lessons in life, and my lesson is to do work with good people and try and make it fun.” The Daily Mail dubbed this “a swipe” at her former costar Sarah Jessica Parker, though Cattrall doesn’t name check Parker—or any Sex and the City costars, for that matter—in the interview.

While there have been rumors of tension between Parker and Cattrall for years, things came to the surface last winter after Cattrall’s brother passed away. Parker shared her condolences on Cattrall’s Instagram, to which Cattrall replied, “Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

Here's What Meghan Markle's Friends Think She'll Be Like as a Mom


It was only a little less than two weeks ago that Meghan Markle gave birth to her first child, Archie, but already her friends are sharing what they think she’ll be like as a mom. Spoiler: She’s going to be great.

In the new CBS special, Meghan and Harry Plus One, Gayle King spoke to Markle’s close friend—and wedding-day makeup artist—Daniel Martin and fellow actress Janina Gavankar about the duchess’s parenting style, among other things. (Buckingham Palace released a rare statement about the special saying, “The Duchess has not had any involvement in the CBS special, nor has she requested or given permission to friends to participate.”)

Gavankar thinks, in many ways, the Duchess of Sussex will be like all the other doting new moms out there. “She’s gonna be such a good mother,” she said. “I think she’ll be very low maintenance, very hands-on. The way she would have been if she hadn’t married into the royal family.” However, she also believes Markle will “run a tight ship.”

“Parenting is difficult in the beginning, but I feel like they got this,” Martin told King. “They’re ready for this…there’s just gonna be so much love for that baby. I feel like Meghan and H are really going to keep this kid real.”

It also seems like Markle’s foodie nature and California roots will come into play as she and Harry raise Archie “with lots of healthy home-cooked meals, no doubt,” Martin said. “I’m sure the baby’s gonna be raised, like … definitely clean and green. She loves to cook … eating organic whenever she can.” He also says he wouldn’t be surprised if the duchess makes her own baby food. (If only she could still post recipes on The Tig!)

As for new dad Prince Harry? “He’s so good with kids … even when they were doing the family portrait after the wedding with everybody, he was on the floor, just playing with the kids,” Martin adds. “And that’s when I knew, like, he’s gonna be the coolest dad.”

It sounds like baby Archie is in very capable hands indeed.

Why University of Notre Dame Women's Basketball Coach Muffet McGraw Says She'll Only Hire Women


It’s a pretty big weekend in the world of college basketball: Both the women’s and men’s national champions will be decided over the course of the coming days. The University of Notre Dame‘s women’s team (who also happen to be the reigning champs) secured a spot to play against Baylor University for the title by defeating the University of Connecticut on Friday night (April 5).

Their head coach, Muffet McGraw, is no stranger to the big stage, and at a press conference ahead of Friday’s game, she used her platform to powerfully speak out about gender inequality, both in the world of sports and beyond. She was asked about recent comments she made to Think Progress about how she would never hire another man. Naturally, she was more than ready with a reply.

“Did you know that the Equal Rights Amendment was introduced in 1967, and it still hasn’t passed?” she said. “We need 38 states to agree that discrimination on the basis of sex is unconstitutional. We’ve had a record number of women running for office and winning. And still, we have 23 percent of the House and 25 percent of the Senate.”

“I’m getting tired of the novelty of … the first female governor of this state. The first female African-American mayor of this city,” she said. “When is it going to become the norm instead of the exception? How are these young women looking up and seeing someone that looks like them, preparing them for the future? We don’t have enough female role models. We don’t have enough visible women leaders. We don’t have enough women in power. Girls are socialized to know, when they come out, gender roles are already set. Men run the world. Men have the power. Men make the decisions. It’s always the man that is stronger one.”

It’s a problem she sees first-hand in her sport and profession, but as a head coach, she has the very real opportunity and power to do things differently. McGraw has employed an all-female coaching staff for the past seven years. “When you look at men’s basketball and 99% of the jobs go to men, why shouldn’t 100% or 99% of the jobs in women’s basketball go to women?” she said. “Maybe it’s because we only have 10% women athletic directors in Division I. People hire people who look like them. That’s the problem.”

By the way, not only is McGraw a feminist who’s utilizing her position to empower other women, but she’s also a helluva a dancer. This clip was captured after the team’s semifinal victory, but honestly, women supporting women is always a win.

Stacey Abrams Promises She'll Be Back: "I Do Indeed Intend to Run for Office Again"


Just two days after ending her Georgia campaign to become the first black female governor in the United States, Stacey Abrams indicated that her political ambitions are far from over. The Democratic candidate said in an interview with CNN’s State Of The Union that although she wants to take a break following her highly contested gubernatorial race in Georgia, she still plans to run for office some day.

“I’m going to spend the next year as a private citizen, but I do indeed intend to run for office again,” Abrams said. “I’m not sure for what, and I am not exactly certain when. I need to take a nap, but once I do, I’m planning to get back into the ring.”

Following the midterm elections earlier this month, Abrams had refused to concede the nail-biter of a race to her opponent, Republican Brian Kemp, saying that she wanted to wait until every single vote had been counted. After an intensely publicized 10-day standoff, she finally recognized Kemp as governor-elect but used a fiery speech to call out voter suppression tactics and said she would be filing a federal lawsuit challenging the election’s “gross mismanagement.”

Abrams’ campaign had been embraced by many high-profile celebrities, including Michael B. Jordan, Uzo Aduba, Rashida Jones, and even Oprah, who helped rack up support by going door-to-door in Georgia—and fired back at a racist robocall that had targeted her and Abrams by urging voters to make their voices heard in the face of ugly political tactics.

“I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election,” Abrams said Friday in a speech announcing the end of her bid. “But to watch an elected official who claims to represent the people in this state baldly pin his hopes for election on suppression of the people’s democratic right to vote has been truly appalling.”
