Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Just Shared Pics From Their Traditional Hindu Engagement Ceremony


After weeks of speculation and little more than a “thanks, man” to guide our suspicions, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have finally confirmed that they are, in fact, engaged. If we’re being honest, it was worth the wait because they did so by posting the most stunning photos of their roka ceremony, a pre-wedding Hindu tradition that the couple held in Mumbai.

Jonas had been spotted landing in India earlier this week with his parents. On Saturday, an Indian celebrity photographer posted several images of the couple celebrating their roka, including a few pictures of them during what appears to be a Lord Ganesha puja prayer ceremony.

One of these pictures made it to Jonas’ Instagram account, where he officially shared the news with the world: “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” he wrote. It appears Chopra may have wanted to wait to make their engagement public until after the prayer ceremony, which is considered auspicious when someone is starting a new chapter of their life. Jonas seems to have very sweetly obliged and honored Chopra’s traditions.

Chopra also posted the same photo with the caption, “Taken.. With all my heart and soul..” (Jonas adorably commented, “Wow congrats… He’s the luckiest guy in the world.”)

A few hours later, Chopra posted a few more shots from the ceremony, including a sweet one of she and Jonas with their parents. Her culture and family both played major roles in the celebration, and Chopra let us know as much with a caption that reads, “The only way to do this… with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings.”

Considering this is the most we’ve heard directly from Chopra and Jonas in weeks, we can barely contain our excitement. Chopra had given us a glimpse of her ring and we’d stolen a few clues from their social media, but getting a glimpse into their special day is way better—and adds another exciting chapter to their whirlwind romance.

Chrissy Teigen Just Shared a Photo of Herself Steaming Her Vagina on Instagram


Just two days after a photo of Chrissy Teigen breast-pumping on her way to dinner went viral, she’s giving us another glimpse into her private life: On Monday night (June 18), the Cravings author posted a photo of herself steaming her vagina.

In the snap, Teigen is pictured sitting over a vagina steam with a towel draped over her legs, a heating pad over her neck, and a white face mask on. “[F]ace mask / heat pad / vagina steam,” she wrote. “No I don’t know if any of this works but it can’t hurt right? vagina dissolves.”

In case you missed it, vagina steaming entered the public consciousness in 2015 when Gwyneth Paltrow sang its praises in a Goop article. “You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al,” she wrote. “It is an energetic release—not just a steam douche—that balances female hormone levels.”

However, vagina steaming isn’t exactly endorsed by the medical community at large. As Katharine O’Connell White, M.D., told Glamour at the time, “The vagina is like a self-cleaning oven—but you don’t even need to turn up the heat (like with steam) for her to work her magic. For many women, the vagina and vulva are pretty sensitive to chemicals (even ones that come from herbs—’all natural’ is still not natural for your lady parts). Who wants to run the risk of steam burns, or vaginitis from a reaction to the herbs? Your vagina is wonderful the way it is—regular showers are all you need to be clean—you don’t need special (and pricey) services to keep yourself clean and healthy.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z Just Shared Never-Before-Seen Photos of Their Twins


Ring the alarm: Beyoncé and Jay-Z just shared the first pictures of their twins, Sir and Rumi Carter, since their iconic birth announcement photoshoot. The couple kicked off their On the Run II Tour on Wednesday (June 6) in Cardiff, U.K., and, in typical Carter family fashion, it was more than just a concert. During one segment of the show, photos of Bey and Jay holding their two younger children flashed on a video projection with the messages “LOVE IS UNIVERSAL” and “LOVE NEVER CHANGES” attached.

Twitter was quickly ablaze over these pictures, which feature Beyoncé wearing a long lace dress and blond braids embellished with beads and bangs, as well as Jay-Z wearing a black T-shirt and black pants.“THE TWINS. GEMINI LEGENDS,” one person wrote. “Rumi and Sir are so chubby and cute,” another said.

Sir and Rumi broke records in 2017 when Beyoncé posted a photoshoot announcing her pregnancy that quickly became the most-liked picture on Instagram. (As of February 2018, though, the most-liked snap is Kylie Jenner’s birth announcement.)

“We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes,” Bey wrote in that original post.

Bey’s twins have largely stayed out of the spotlight since their birth announcement, while big sister Blue Ivy, 6, steals the spotlight at just about every event she attends. Let’s hope that on the twins’ upcoming birthday, Beyoncé blesses us with even more pictures of her entire family.

Chrissy Teigen Just Shared the First Photo of Luna and Miles Together


Miles Theodore Stephens, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s second child, was born less than one month ago, and it seems big sister Luna Simone, 2, is already adjusting well to her new role. Late Sunday (May 27), the 32-year-old supermodel shared the first picture of her two children together, and, needless to say, it’s seriously adorable. In the snap, baby Miles lays in a fuzzy bassinet while big sister Luna helps with his pacifier. Just look at that concentration and tenderness!

It’s particularly heartwarming to see Luna interacting with Miles after her dad joked that there have been some difficulties with their new addition. “I think she’s just becoming aware that he’s the competition,” Legend told Entertainment Tonight shortly after Miles was born. “We’ll see how that plays out, but I think it might be good because it’s making her, like, she’s doing more to ingratiate herself to us, which means it might be a good thing for her to have a little competition.”

Teigen also previously suspected that it might be hard for Luna to adjust to her new sibling, so she preemptively began prepping her daughter. “She’s got her little baby doll now that she’s been really taking care of,” the Lip Sync Battle host told ET in January. “It’s hard though, because she’s definitely jealous of John and I.”

Teigen added, “[Lunas’] so protective of John and when we kiss, she, like, looks [up] from no matter where she is. You see her little dark eyes somewhere. It’s a little scary.” Despite her jokes, Teigen is seriously working on her relationships with her kids, like any new mom. “I think the balance is hard. I mean, you want to be able to give one so much attention and shower them with love and affection, but then you have a little baby too, and that’ll be rough to balance,” she continued in the same interview. “I’m excited to figure it out, because, hopefully, we won’t stop at two, and we’ll be on our way to Todville.”

Ciara Just Pissed Off a Lot of Single Women with a Video She Shared on Twitter


A decade after singing about being an independent woman who refuses to let men dictate her life in songs like “Goodies” and “That’s Right,” Ciara is under fire for reposting a video on Twitter in which a pastor seemingly reduces women to nothing but wives and girlfriends — as if a woman’s worth can only be derived from the men in her life. In the video, which Ciara posted on Twitter on Saturday night, Pastor John Gray, who has his own show on the Oprah Winfrey Network and has posted openly homophobic statements on Twitter in the past, encourages women who are looking for a relationship to carry themselves like wives. “A wife is not the presence of a ring, but it is the presence of your character. Too many women wanna be married, but you’re walking in the spirit of ‘girlfriend,'” he says, adding, “When you carry yourself like a wife, a husband will find you.” Ciara captioned the video, “#LevelUp.”

The Twittersphere was largely unimpressed with the fact that Ciara — who called off her engagement to rapper Future (the father of her 3-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn) in 2014 and married NFL star Russell Wilson in 2016 — had endorsed the video. While some took a more lighthearted approach to criticizing the sexist video — “This Ciara business is another reminder that Rihanna is always right,” one person tweeted — others took the post much more seriously. “Ciara is doing what many women do when they overcome trials and get married. She’s using her marital status as a weapon against women who are not married. And it’s clear that she’s tied her value and sense of self worth to her marriage, otherwise she wouldn’t have shared that,” writer CiCi Adams tweeted. “Ciara telling women to ‘Level up’ and live ‘like a wife’ so they can b married is astounding to me. Didn’t you need grace, mercy & compassion when you were being dragged up and down the Internet for the Future situation? How quickly ppl forget when they reach a perch of privilege.”

Others, however, were supportive of Ciara’s decision to repost Gray’s sexist message, although many of those supporters appeared to be men expecting women to cater to them and conform to their ideals. “We love a Queen who knows herself worth and has no problem admitting she had to grow to get there! #LevelUp” one Twitter user wrote.

On Sunday, Ciara attempted to clarify her endorsement of the video with a message about self-love and self-respect. “I was once that girl wanting to be loved a certain way but was making the wrong choices. I found myself at my lowest moment. I was a single mom sitting at home, and I then realized that the perfect love I was looking for was how God loves me, how He wants me to be loved, and who He was calling me to be as a mom and as a woman. Thats when I realized married or not married… I needed to love myself. #LevelUp.”

The Obamas Shared Their 2017 Christmas Card, and Twitter Caught Some Feelings


‘Tis the time of year to reach out and give back, and former President Barack Obama and the rest of the Obama family are doing just that. Already this holiday season, he transformed himself into Santa to deliver presents to the Greater Washington Boys & Girls Club. And just last month, he brought former FLOTUS Michelle Obama, as well as his royal BFF Prince Harry with him to visit a Chicago high school. But it was the season’s greetings he recently tweeted out that really got Twitter feeling all the feels.

On Monday, Obama wished the world a merry Christmas with the family’s first holiday card since he left office. It prompted Twitter to add a time machine to the top of their wish list: “Please, PLEASE come back!!” some begged. “WE MISS YOU,” others pleaded.

“On behalf of the Obama family, Merry Christmas!” Obama wrote on Twitter. “We wish you joy and peace this holiday season.”

The accompanying photo features a smiling Obama flanked by Michelle, Sasha, and Malia. Some cute little helper elves and a Scooby Doo wearing reindeer antlers (why not?) also pose for the photo, which is backgrounded by a giant Christmas tree.

Honestly, we don’t know that Twitter users have wore their hearts on their sleeves so much since the Obama family released their final White House Christmas card. The tweet quickly racked up 1.4 million likes, nearly 450,000 retweets, and 40,000 comments, many of them begging the then-President and -First Lady to return to office.

Maybe Michelle will change her mind and make #michelle2020 a thing after all. (Hey, the odds are good!)
