Megan Markle's Close Friend Might Have Just Revealed the Sussexes' New Brand Name

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared the announcement that they’re be stepping back as senior members of the royal family, there’s been a lot of talk about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s use of the word “royal.”

You see, after their wedding, the pair officially registered their website, social media handles, and charity as Sussex Royal. However, as part of the agreement to sever royal ties with the family, Queen Elizabeth forbid the couple from using the word royal on any of their work.

In a statement, the couple wrote that dropping the word royal was just fine with them. “While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal’ or any iteration of the word ‘Royal’ in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs Spring 2020.”

Though many viewed the response as snarky toward the Queen and the monarchy as a whole, the couple might have just been stating facts. Besides, it appears they already have a new name in the works already.

According to The Daily Mail, stylist Jessica Mulroney, who happens to be Meghan’s closest confidant, registered a new domain in Harry and Meghan’s name sometime last week. As The Daily Mail wrote, she “registered the website sussexglobalcharities.com last Wednesday through her charity the Shoebox Project Foundation, which supports vulnerable women.”

Look at the name again: “Sussex Global Charities.” No “royal” in sight.

“While the duke and duchess are focused on plans to establish a new non-profit organization, given the specific UK government rules surrounding the use of the word ‘royal’ it has been therefore agreed that their non-profit organization when it is announced this spring, will not be named Sussex Royal Foundation,” a spokesperson for the couple told The Guardian. The spokesperson reiterated, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘SussexRoyal’ in any territory post-spring 2020.”

Though little else is known about just what Harry and Meghan will call their endeavors right now, we likely won’t have to wait long: The couple’s last official day as working members of the royal family is March 31.

Ashley Graham Just Revealed the Details of Her Son's Birth—Including His Adorable Name

Ashley Graham‘s 2020 has gotten off to a very happy start. The supermodel and her husband, Justin Ervin, welcomed their first child—a boy—on January 18. And now she’s sharing more details about the day he was born on the latest episode of her podcast, Pretty Big Deal.

“Couldn’t hold back my tears on today’s @prettybigdealpod episode. Nothing prepares you for just how magical and intense giving birth is; I’m so grateful that I was able to deliver naturally in my home with my husband by my side for all 6 hours of labor,” she wrote on Instagram. “Holding my baby for the first time is a moment I’ll never forget. Such a special moment in my life deserved a BIG announcement!”

First, we finally learned the little boy’s name: Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin. “My sister Kia and I would have discussions about, ‘Oh, one day, when we have kids…’” Ervin said. “I brainstormed my own name for my future son, and I knew it was gonna be Isaac.” They picked the middle name “Menelik,” which means “son of the wise,” after a trip the couple took to Ethiopia last Christmas (they learned it was the name of that country’s first emperor). He also said that Giovanni (the Italian equivalent of John) is a tribute to both his and Graham’s grandfathers.

Graham says she gave birth to Isaac at home because her “anxiety would have been through the roof” at a hospital. “I have to say, now that I gave birth and I did it naturally and I felt everything, I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do,” she said. “There’s nothing that could come my way where I say, ‘Oh, that’s too hard, I can’t handle that.’ I went through laboring for six hours naturally.”

“To go straight from the pool to the bed with our son and just hold him, what a bond,” Ervin added. The couple then brought little Isaac out for his big debut—and Graham nursed him on camera. How cute is he in his tiny camouflage outfit?

Ashley Graham also shared another photo of Isaac on her Instagram feed. “At 6:00PM on 01/18/2020, we welcomed 7lbs 5oz of love into our world. Meeting our son has made our hearts incredibly full,” she wrote.

Many congrats to the happy family!

Amy Schumer Revealed She’s Going Through IVF Treatments

Comedian Amy Schumer has always been one to share what’s on her mind—in her stand-up sets, in interviews, and on her own social media feeds. That has become especially true since she got pregnant with and gave birth to her first child with husband Chris Fischer, Gene, who’s now eight months old.

This week Schumer revealed that she is going through IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatments in order to have a second child—and asking fans for advice in dealing with the grueling process.

“I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional,” she wrote in a caption next to a photo of her bruised belly. “If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do. My number is in my bio. We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling. ❤️” And there is indeed a phone number in the bio (+1 (917) 970-9333) for anyone who wants to reach out.

The comments section was filled with supportive comments from fellow celebs like Katie Couric who wrote, “You got this mama❤️❤️ Sending you lots of love ! ?” and Selena Gomez who said, “I’m praying for you and chris. I’m sorry!”

Other people shared their own personal experiences like one woman who wrote, “Ugh. I did 7 rounds to get my b/g twins. It was such an emotional roller coaster. I remember the bruises like you have and feeling like a giant bloated pin cushion. Thank you for normalizing and bringing this topic out into the open.”

During her pregnancy, Schumer suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum—which is like an extreme form of morning sickness—and wasn’t afraid to show its effects on her body and life. Including daily bouts of vomiting. (Kate Middleton also had the same condition when pregnant with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.) And after giving birth, Schumer didn’t stop bringing her characteristic humor to the struggles of mom life.

The emotional and physical toll IVF takes is only made worse by a culture of silence. For women dealing with fertility issues, it’s amazing to see women like Schumer opening up the conversation.

UPDATE: January 11, 3:13 p.m.: Amy Schumer provided an update about her IVF process to her followers, explaining that she and her husband have decided to freeze their embryos.

The comedian also shared some of the tips she received from fans who have undergone IVF, listing things like eating salty foods, drinking Gatorade, icing the area, and, most importantly, being “patient and kind” to yourself.

“There are sooooo many of us willing to be there for each other,” Schumer penned in the caption. “Your stories helped me more than you can imagine. I feel incredibly lucky. I’m really hoping this works and staying positive. Much much love!”

Kelly Clarkson Proudly Revealed How Often She and Her Husband Have Sex

Kelly Clarkson is not one to shy away when it comes to personal questions, so when she was asked about her nighttime routine, she got candid about her sex life with husband Brandon Blackstock.

During a round of “Ask Me Anything” on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer sat down with The Voice Season 14 winner Brynn Cartelli who asked her former coach: “What is the last thing you do before you go to bed every night?”

The question seemed innocent enough so many expected Clarkson to reveal her bedtime skincare routine or what TV shows she binges before bed. Instead, she provided everyone with a refreshingly unfiltered response.

“Well, Brynn, I was single for many years so,” she said. “I have children, and how one makes children is generally what I do before bed—that’s not a lie.”

“That’s real,” Clarkson added. “And it’s not weird. It’s natural.”

You can check out a clip of Clarkson’s upcoming interview below:

The American Idol Season 1 winner started dating Blackstock in 2012 before tying the knot the following year. The couple share two children, 5-year-old River and 3-year-old Remington.

This isn’t the first time Clarkson has gotten real about sex with her husband. In 2017, she told Redbook that she was happy to finally find “someone I was truly passionate about, who I wanted to stay in bed with all day.”

“Any time we’re in a discussion about sex with a bunch of couples, Brandon and I stay pretty quiet,” she told the magazine. “To keep it family appropriate, let’s say we’re just a lot more active than other couples.”

In fact, Clarkson said that before meeting Blackstock, she wasn’t sure she’d ever find someone she was genuinely attracted to.

“This isn’t a downer to anybody I dated before him, but I’m just going to be real: I never felt like, honesty, sexually attracted to anybody before him,” she explained. “And I’m not downing my exes. You know, everybody’s different. But there was something about him.”

She added, “I honestly thought I was asexual—I’d never been turned on like that in my whole life. I was like, ‘Oh, that’s that feeling… okay!”

Taylor Swift Revealed the One “Lover” Lyric That Was Almost So Different

Two seconds into Taylor Swift‘s “Lover,” you can tell the dreamy ballad is destined to play at weddings for years to come. But the first lyric, “We could leave the Christmas lights up ’til January” confused some listeners since the song’s release. January starts just a few days after Christmas—so what’s romantic about Swift’s decoration schedule? Isn’t that the norm?

Well, Swift just said a change to “Lover”‘s lyrics is to blame for fans’ questions. For the New York Times series “Diary of a Song,” the singer joined Times music journalist Joe Coscarelli to explain how she brought “Lover” to life. In the interview, she explained that her Christmas lights weren’t supposed to stay lit only until January in the original lyrics.

Swift said the songwriting process for “Lover” involved meticulously reviewing her lyrics, making sure each one says exactly what she wants it to say. “Were there lines that changed in that process?” Coscarelli asked. “I had toyed with the idea of ‘We could leave the Christmas lights up ‘til April,’” Swift responded.

So why make the jump to January? Swift added she wanted “Lover” to be about quiet, normal moments that make a relationship special—so she changed the month to something simpler. “It’s not about that being a crazy thing,” Swift said. “It’s about how mundane it is. It’s about like ‘We could put a rug over there. We could do wallpaper or paint.’ When young adults go from living in their family to then combining their lives with someone else, that’s actually, like, the most profound thing.”

She added that the rest of “Lover” touches on similarly universal, simple moments and feelings. “I wanted the chorus to be these really simple, existential questions that we ask ourselves when we’re in love. ‘Can I go where you go’ is such a heavy thing to ask somebody. ‘Can we always be this close’ has so much fear in it,” Swift said.

Hear her describe the making of “Lover” in her own words below:

The 30-year-old also recently released “Christmas Tree Farm,” an upbeat ode to the farm where she grew up. Like “Lover,” Swift wrote “Christmas Tree Farm” in just 24 hours. She documented the process in a series of iPhone clips shared on her Instagram earlier this week. “24 hours and a lot of xmas spirit,” she captioned the video.

Swift told the New York Times she’d been waiting for a song like “Lover” to make its way into her repertoire. “I’d been thinking for years that, God, it’d be so great to have a song that people who are in love would want to dance to,” she said. “In my head, I had the last two people on a dance floor at 3 A.M., swaying.”

Her vision will probably come to life in a few months. Swift takes “Lover” on tour in 2020.

Selena Gomez Revealed How Taylor Swift Helped Her Get Over Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez is back on the charts with her first new songs in years, “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now.” Fans wasted no time combing through the lyrics of the singles for references to Gomez’s breakup from Justin Bieber last year.

And while Gomez hasn’t directly addressed her songs’ ties to her old relationship, she has gotten candid about the period after her breakup—and how her close friend Taylor Swift helped her move on and get back in the studio.

The details about Swift’s role in helping her pal move on from a broken heart emerged when the singer stopped by BBC Radio’s Beats 1 show for an interview with Zane Lowe this week. Lowe asked Swift what she thought of Gomez’s new music, and she couldn’t stop gushing about it. “Lose You to Love Me,” Swift said, is “the best thing [Selena’s] ever done.”

“She’s been through so much,” Swift added. “I’ve watched so much happen in her life and had a front-row seat to so much, and I’m so proud of her. She is such a revelation because now she’s making her best stuff.”

Swift continued: “The things that she’s overcome, the situations she’s risen above, it’s been a long time since we were friends and she’s the best. She’s just the best. I’m really excited because when somebody has had great life experience, has had really tough things they’ve had to go through and they can process that and make art that’s going to help other people, that’s what kind of song this is. I’m stoked.”

Swift added that she can’t speak for Gomez’s experience entirely, but she’s thrilled at how far her friend has come. “Just from my perspective as her friend, I’ve just never been more proud,” she said.

Later that day, it was Gomez’s turn to chat with Lowe. He played her the recording of Swift’s interview on the air, asking her to respond. Needless to say, things got emotional.

Gomez choked up, revealing that Swift has been by her side through every high and low over the past several years. “She was frustrated when I was frustrated; she was sad when I was sad,” she said, per Elle. “I think [my friends] visibly saw me in so much pain. And they didn’t want it for me but they—sorry—they never stopped loving me.”

As it turns out, Swift was also by Gomez’s side in and out of the studio. The “Lover” singer was one of the first ones to hear “Lose You to Love Me,” Gomez explained. “I played her the song, and I played it with her mom and dad, and I showed her the video and her mom and Taylor started crying,” she said. “And it wasn’t because the song was emotional. It was just because the first thing they said to me was, ‘We’re so happy that you’re here. After seeing all of that, this is such a cool moment.’ And that’s a huge thing for me.”

Gomez added that her rollercoaster relationship with Bieber took its toll, but opening up about it to her closest friends made healing possible. “My heart was just so tired, and I think that allowing myself to just say that was important for me,” she said.

The singers met in 2008 while they were dating two of the Jonas Brothers (Joe and Nick), and have remained close friends ever since. In a 2017 interview, Gomez said that becoming friends with Swift was “the best thing we got out of those relationships.”

Over the past week, Gomez has continued to open up about her new music and the pain that inspired it. In an earlier interview with Ryan Seacrest, she admitted that healing after her breakup wasn’t easy, but she’s channeled it into her album that’s four years in the making. “It took me a long time to get through it,” she said. “Now it’s fine. I’m smiling. It’s so great.”
