Amy Schumer Legally Changed Her Son's Name for a Very Good Reason

Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their first son together last May and named the little guy Gene Attell Fischer. His middle name was meant to be a sweet tribute to the couple’s good friend, fellow comedian Dave Attell. However, Schumer revealed on the most recent episode of her podcast 3 Girls, 1 Keith that they have actually changed Gene’s middle name.

“So do you guys know that Gene, our baby’s name, is officially changed? It’s now Gene David Fischer,” she said. “It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realized that we, by accident, named our son ‘genital.’ Gene Attell sounds like genital.” Um, that’s hilarious and, honestly, we’d never noticed it. either. Schumer’s guest on the episode was her costar from Trainwreck, Claudia O’Doherty, who said her own mother did remark on the name. “My mom pointed that out to me, actually,” O’Doherty said. “My mum was like, ‘Amy’s called her son genital.'”

The comedian said they decided to legally change Gene’s middle name to David because it still honors Attell and is also her own father’s middle name. Hopefully, little Gene will one day appreciate the fact his parents made this change early enough in his life that he won’t be teased about it.

Amy Schumer has openly shared that she and her husband are trying to give Gene a younger brother or sister with the help of IVF treatments. “I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional,” she wrote on Instagram. “If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do. My number is in my bio. We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling. ❤️”

Fingers crossed their treatments are successful—and that they get the name right on the first go.

Orlando Bloom's New Tattoo of His Son's Name Is Spelled Wrong

Orlando Bloom, fiancé of Katy Perry and the sexiest pirate from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (don’t argue, that’s a fact), seems to have had a bit of a misstep at the tattoo parlor.

Bloom, who co-parents his 9-year-old child Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, took to Instagram to share his new tattoo: a sweet ode to his son. But then fans noticed something was off. The very cool, hella trendy tat by artist Balazs Bercsenyi is supposed to spell out his son’s name in morse code, but it…doesn’t. Before we get into what went wrong, I have some questions. What’s with this morse code renaissance? Is Bloom a member of the #BongHive? The power that Parasite has…

Anyway, back to the ink in question. On February 12, Bloom shared an artsy black-and-white shot of the sleek line tattoo with the caption, “new #tattoo can you guess who?”

If you guess “Frynn,” you’re probably good at reading morse code, like some of Bloom’s fans on the ‘gram. “If the morse code is supposed to spell out Flynn then there is a mistake,” one commenter wrote. Apparently, there’s a crucial dot missing. Who else is getting major flashbacks to the time Ariana Grande accidentally got “BBQ grill” tattooed on her palm in Japanese? Fixing that error required a removal procedure, even more ink, and some lidocaine shots for the pain. Ouch.

Fortunately, Orlando Bloom and Balazs Bercsenyi are well aware of the mistake and are going to fix it. Even better, unlike Grande’s mishap, it seems Bloom’s typo will take only a small amount of effort to rectify. “A beautiful reminder for @orlandobloom of his son,” Bercsenyi wrote in his own caption of the same picture. “Yes, a dot is missing, we know, it will be fixed :).”

All’s well that ends well, I guess. In the immortal words of that one guy’s chest tattoo in We’re the Millers, “NO RAGRETS.”

Ashley Graham Just Revealed the Details of Her Son's Birth—Including His Adorable Name

Ashley Graham‘s 2020 has gotten off to a very happy start. The supermodel and her husband, Justin Ervin, welcomed their first child—a boy—on January 18. And now she’s sharing more details about the day he was born on the latest episode of her podcast, Pretty Big Deal.

“Couldn’t hold back my tears on today’s @prettybigdealpod episode. Nothing prepares you for just how magical and intense giving birth is; I’m so grateful that I was able to deliver naturally in my home with my husband by my side for all 6 hours of labor,” she wrote on Instagram. “Holding my baby for the first time is a moment I’ll never forget. Such a special moment in my life deserved a BIG announcement!”

First, we finally learned the little boy’s name: Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin. “My sister Kia and I would have discussions about, ‘Oh, one day, when we have kids…’” Ervin said. “I brainstormed my own name for my future son, and I knew it was gonna be Isaac.” They picked the middle name “Menelik,” which means “son of the wise,” after a trip the couple took to Ethiopia last Christmas (they learned it was the name of that country’s first emperor). He also said that Giovanni (the Italian equivalent of John) is a tribute to both his and Graham’s grandfathers.

Graham says she gave birth to Isaac at home because her “anxiety would have been through the roof” at a hospital. “I have to say, now that I gave birth and I did it naturally and I felt everything, I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do,” she said. “There’s nothing that could come my way where I say, ‘Oh, that’s too hard, I can’t handle that.’ I went through laboring for six hours naturally.”

“To go straight from the pool to the bed with our son and just hold him, what a bond,” Ervin added. The couple then brought little Isaac out for his big debut—and Graham nursed him on camera. How cute is he in his tiny camouflage outfit?

Ashley Graham also shared another photo of Isaac on her Instagram feed. “At 6:00PM on 01/18/2020, we welcomed 7lbs 5oz of love into our world. Meeting our son has made our hearts incredibly full,” she wrote.

Many congrats to the happy family!

Kourtney Kardashian Had the Best Response to a Fan Who Said She Needs to Cut Her Son's Hair

Kourtney Kardashian isn’t here for fans offering unsolicited opinions about her children. Exhibit A: This Instagram comment she wrote in response to someone saying she needs to cut her son Reign Disick‘s hair.

Let’s back up for a second: On Sunday, October 27, Kardashian posted several photos to Instagram of her children enjoying a weekend away in Santa Ynez, California. Reign is in a few of the pics having the best time and enjoying the outside. But a follower couldn’t help but make a comment about the 4-year-old’s hair. “She really need to cut his hair,” the person wrote.

Kardashian’s response was swift, though. “She really need to not worry about kids that aren’t her own,” she wrote. “He is a happy boy.”

Check out the original post and the comments exchange for yourself, below:

@kourtneykardash

Kourtney Kardashian is the mother of three children: Reign, Penelope, and Mason. Both Reign and Mason share the same birthday, December 14, just five years apart.

“They’re my priorities,” Kardashian told Harper’s Bazaar a few years back about her children. “No matter what’s happening—they always come first. As far as filming in our homes, I think just making sure that they feel comfortable enough that they can walk in any room—even if we’re filming they don’t notice. I want it to always be a comfortable household. Schedules change, so I’ll say, ‘Everybody has to leave by this time, so we can unwind and go to bed.’ This is their home, and I’m always conscious of how they feel.”

When asked about her favorite part of motherhood, she said, “Watching your kids grow every day—watching all the little moments. I actually think my favorite part is that you relive your own childhood—going to Disneyland and watching all the movies I watched when I was a kid. I have so many of the books we read when we were little—so reading all the same books again. It’s really fun—you almost get to be a kid again and do all those magical things.”

Ayesha Curry Shut Down an Instagram User Who Commented on 10-Month-Old Son's Weight

Ayesha Curry is a cookbook author, cooking show host, restaurant owner, Covergirl spokesperson, and a mom to three kids—Riley, Ryan, and Canon—with her husband, NBA superstar Steph Curry. In other words, this is a woman who does not have time for rude people on Instagram.

But this being the Internet, there will always be some troll waiting in the wings with less-than-kind commentary. And when someone recently made a comment about her 10-month-old son’s weight, Ayesha was having none of it.

But let’s back up a bit before we get to her response: Earlier this week, the entire Curry extended family was together to watch Steph’s Golden State Warriors play for a chance to make the NBA Finals against his younger brother, Seth Curry, who is on the Portland Trailblazers. After the Warriors’ victory, the Curry clan posed for a big group photo that included Steph and Ayesha and their three children.

“Infinitely proud of these guys. Gods grace and mercy continues to cover our family and we are so grateful. Not about wins and losses, it’s all about family. Moments like this simply put it all into perspective,” she wrote in the caption. “‘But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’ – Matthew 6:33” Most of the comments were positive; the feed was filled with fans congratulating the family on the team’s victory and remarking on how adorable (and grown up) the kids look.

It’d be nice if the story just ended there, but one commenter decided to chime in and ask if Ayesha is pregnant again. (Sigh, how many times do we have to tell people that is not a question that needs to be asked?) Anyway, Ayesha took it in stride and replied, “Absolutely not LOL. My 30 lb son is just breaking my back in every Photo.”

To this, another commenter said, “If that kid is 30 lbs he’s got some serious health issues going on.”

Ayesha quickly shut that down, though, with a succinct, “Excuse you? No. Just no.” Soon after, more fans joined in the conversation to support her. “F her! ‘Just NO’ is right! You & your family look fantastic. Your husband is gorgeous & best in NBA. Congratulations to y’all & your fam,” one wrote. Another said, “People are so rude!!! You look beautiful and your kids are adorable!!!!!”

We wholeheartedly agree. Nice shot, Ayesha.
