Nick and Joe Jonas Hid Love Notes to Priyanka and Sophie in the New Jonas Brothers Album


The Jonas Brothers released their first album in over 10 years on Friday, June 7. Titled Happiness Begins, the record is chock-full of bops, including “Sucker,” which has found immense success on Billboard‘s Hot 100. But the album is also emotionally resonant, filled with lyrics about Kevin, Nick, and Joe‘s personal lives. All the brothers are happily married now, and that’s evident on a few of the songs—particularly “Hesitate” and “I Believe,” which contain love notes of sorts to Joe and Nick’s significant others, Sophie Turner and Priyanka Chopra.

Let’s start with “Hesitate,” which is Joe’s ode to Sophie. “Kiss the tears right off your face,” Joe sings on the track. “Won’t get scared, that’s the old, old, old me. I’ll be there time and place. Lay it on me, all you’re hold, hold, holding.”

Joe is the emotional rock here, which tracks with some of the soundbites Turner has given about their relationship. “He was like, ‘I can’t be with you until you love yourself. I can’t see you love me more than you love yourself,'” she told the Sunday Times in May. “That was something, him doing that. I think he kind of saved my life, in a way.”

Priyanka Chopra Just Clapped Back at People Who Think She Overshared Her Wedding


Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had one of the most elaborate and talked-about weddings in recent celebrity history—and Chopra made sure to document a ton of it on her social media accounts. But for anyone who thinks she got a little too share-happy along the way, Chopra has some words: “If I wasn’t a famous person and I’d just got married, don’t you think my Insta would have photos of me and my husband?”

She makes a good point. Chopra talked about her wedding posts in a recent interview with The Sunday Times. In it, she clapped back at people who’d said she went overboard with wedding content on social media: “Just because I’m famous, don’t I have the ability to be proud of being a newlywed without people saying that I’m using my marriage? I gave up my right to privacy when I became a public person; it’s the deal you make with the devil. But trust me, there are lots of things I still keep personal.”

And Chopra really did have a lot to post about. If you remember, she had a massive, multi-day celebration that included a traditional Hindu ceremony and a lavish, more American-style reception. Even India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was among the 225 guests on the big day. There were multiple dress changes, afterparty events, and, of course, photo opps.

And she and Jonas have a thing for shouting each other out on social media. Their flirty Instagram activity is what made people realize they were dating to begin with, and they haven’t slowed the PDA down since becoming husband and wife.

Recently, Jonas left her a sweet post in honor of their very first date. ” I am so grateful for our journey together so far. You make me smile every day and you inspire me to be the best version of myself. I am honored to be your husband,” he wrote.

Priyanka Chopra Calls Out Press Treatment of Meghan Markle: 'It Has to Do With Racism'


Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle have been friends for a while, and they’re both used to being frequent tabloid fixtures (they’ve even had to deal with fake stories written about their relationship). But although Chopra knowns firsthand what it’s like to be unfairly scrutinized in the media, she made sure to point out that the British press has been especially “unfortunate” when it comes to Markle, saying that some of the portrayals of the Duchess of Sussex have been fueled by racism.

In an interview with the Sunday Times published this weekend, Chopra praised how resilient and strong Markle has been in the face of negative press. Still, she didn’t shy away from noting that racism has been a factor in what’s been written about the royal.

“Of course it has to do with racism, it’s an obvious reason. But the beauty of Meg is that she’s been herself through all of this,” Chopra told the Times. “A lot of people got to know her after everything [once she started dating Harry], but I knew her before, and she’s the same chick. Now that she’s got a real platform, she talks about the same things she always did. We spent hours speaking about the difference that influence and dialogue can make to the world before this whole thing happened, so what you see now is authentically her. She’s always been the girl wanting to move the needle.”

It’s not the first time someone close to Markle has blasted the racist harassment she’s received. When he was dating her in 2016, Prince Harry issued a public statement through Kensington Palace condoning the behavior toward her. “Some of this has been very public—the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments,” the statement read. “Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her.”

Markle herself addressed the scrutiny around her ethnicity when she spoke about her engagement publicly for the first time. When asked how she’d dealt with scrutiny around her ethnicity, her response was self-aware and eloquent, showing off the grace Chopra mentioned in her interview.

“Of course it’s disheartening,” Markle said. “It’s a shame that that is the climate in this world, to focus that much on that…but at the end of the day, I’m really proud of who I am and where I come from.”

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Reportedly Visited Baby Archie—And Brought Expensive Gifts


UPDATE: 10:15 A.M., June 1, 2019:

Priyanka Chopra has said that The Sun‘s story about her meeting Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby Archie is not, in fact, true. “While these are great gift ideas… this story is untrue, and I was actually in town for work,” she tweeted. “I hope whoever this ‘source’ is starts checking their facts more often.”

Reporter Emily Andrews also responded on Twitter, writing, “Not quite sure what’s going on with this, but I wouldn’t publish something without having it confirmed. I had three separate sources for this story but if Priyanka says she didn’t visit Meghan & Archie then fair enough…”

He’s not even a month old, but Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the first child of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has had quite the schedule since he was born on May 6.

Archie’s met Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Kate Middleton and Prince William, and Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, of course, but it’s not just his famous family who have stopped by. Serena Williams visited Frogmore Cottage ahead of the French Open to meet Archie, and now another A-list friend of Markle’s has come to Windsor as well.

The Sun‘s Emily Andrews reports that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have also met Master Archie. “They thought baby Archie was just adorable and Meg is loving her new life,” a friend told the paper. “She looked fantastic and has taken to life as a mum swimmingly.”

Unsurprisingly, the Chopra-Jonases came bearing gifts for the youngest royal. The Sun reports that Chopra picked out a few items from Tiffany, including a $250 sterling silver bubble blower with a Tiffany blue accent.

Chopra was a guest (sans Jonas) at Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding last May, and the two have been friends for years. Unfortunately, though, the women were at the center of rumors a few months back alleging they were feuding because the Sussexes didn’t attend Chopra’s wedding in India.

“Their friendship is over unless Meghan apologizes,” a source told Page Six in February. “Priyanka is a huge international star with a tremendous social media following. She is probably more famous worldwide than Meghan is. She feels Meghan didn’t respect her, and didn’t respect their friendship.”

But Chopra put those rumors to rest in March during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live when she was asked if this alleged “feud” was why she didn’t attend Markle’s New York baby shower. “Oh my God, no. It’s not true,” she said, laughing.

Nick Jonas Arranged a Truly Incredible Anniversary Surprise for Priyanka Chopra


Singer Nick Jonas has probably earned himself some major points after surprising his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, with a chance to meet Mariah Carey backstage at her London concert this weekend. (Celebs getting giddy over meeting other celebs? Love.) The couple, who are celebrating the first anniversary of their first date together in their typically extra way, couldn’t be together for the relationship milestone, so the Jonas Brothers singer arranged a meeting between Chopra and her idol instead.

The Quantico actress shared a photo with the singer on Instagram, thanking Jonas for making her dreams comes true.

“The best husband ever,” the actress wrote. “Even though he was busy and we were apart, he made sure I celebrated our one year anniversary with my fave! The incomparable @mariahcarey #Mimi—you were amazing! So lovely meeting you and thank you for the incredible show… you will always be my baby @nickjonas Happy one year love!”

But in case you needed another reason to prove Jonas deserves the “Really Extra Husband” award, the 26-year-old also penned his wife the sweetest message on Instagram to mark the aforementioned anniversary. (That first date wasn’t at the 2017 Met Gala, by the way.)

“One year ago today I went to go see Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood bowl with a group of friends. One of those friends was the woman that would become my best friend, my confidant, my muse, my beautiful wife,” he wrote. “I am so grateful for our journey together so far. You make me smile every day and you inspire me to be the best version of myself. I am honored to be your husband. I love you.”

He shared the caption alongside a stunning Cannes photo of the two looking completely smitten by one another.

Considering how over-the-top Jonas and Chopra’s couples style is—and we mean that in the best way possible, of course—we didn’t expect anything less from the power couple. Safe to say, we can only imagine what Jonas is planning (has planned??) for their first wedding anniversary in December.

Nick Jonas Paid the Sweetest Tribute to Priyanka Chopra One Year After Their First Date


It’s hard to believe that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have only been dating for a year. (A year!) So much has happened: Flirty Instagram activity evolved into a summer (and fall) of headline-grabbing dates, which turned into a Tiffany engagement ring, which became a wedding at a palace in Jodhpur, India—and just a few wedding receptions. And that was all in 2018! This year, the couple’s been popping up on date nights with the other power couple in their Fab Four (Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas), killing it with their Met Gala red carpet return, and making their Cannes debut with plenty of outfit changes in tow. It’s safe to say they’ve had a pretty busy past 365 days.

Today, Jonas took a minute to write a super-sweet tribute on Instagram to Chopra to make the one-year anniversary since their first date (which, no, wasn’t the 2017 Met Gala—although that was the first time they were spotted together publicly). It features a picture of the two of them wearing one of their coordinated Cannes looks, with Jonas dipping Chopra romantically in front of a balcony.
