Watch 'Stranger Things' Stars Joe Keery and Gaten Matarazzo Stare Into Each Other's Eyes for 4 Minutes

A strange thing happened on Stranger Things 2 this season, and it had nothing to do with the Mind Flayer, the Demogorgon, or the Upside Down. In fact, the producers didn’t even plan it, the actors didn’t expect it, and the audience certainly didn’t see it coming. In short, Joe Keery‘s Steve and Gaten Matarazzo‘s Dustin became the super couple we never knew we needed.

“I love it, but I didn’t see it happening,” Matarazzo admitted when he stopped by the Glamour Los Angeles offices to film our Intimacy Exercises video (see below). “It was always supposed to be a joke, like, ‘Aww, that will be cute,’ but then [the characters] actually connected.”

“We didn’t even know we were working together until halfway through shooting,” Keery added. I saw [Gaten’s] work last year and loved it and was really excited to work with him more. I thought our scenes were going to be pretty funny, but they had heart to them too.”

Both actors are unanimous when picking their favorite moment of the season: “The railroad scene!” they said in unison. “It was so much fun,” Keery explained. “It was also the first time having almost three pages of dialogue.”

But fans might say their favorite scene is when Steve drops off Dustin at the Snowball, complete with matching hairstyles. “I think I maybe saw a photo of his hair first [before I saw him in person],” Keery revealed. “I was like, ‘Welcome to the club!’ I was into it! I was impressed. He got more volume than I’ll ever even get close to.”

Since the show wrapped filming, the guys sadly haven’t gotten to see each other much. The last time they hung out was at the show’s second season premiere in L.A., nearly a month before our Glamour shoot. “It’s fun to hang out with this guy,” Keery said of their reunion. “The best part of today has been laughing so much,” Matarazzo added. “I never laugh this hard, ever.”

So what exactly brought the guys to tears from cracking up so much? Well, in a series of bonding activities for “Intimacy Exercises” they had to write down and tell each other compliments, stare into each other’s eyes for four minutes, and then do a trust fall. (The latter isn’t so easy when one person is nearly a foot taller than the other!) The result is the best thing you’ll see all day—trust us and watch, below:

Barack Obama Appropriately Made His Own Meme to Wish Joe Biden Happy Birthday

It’s Joe Biden’s seventy-fifth birthday, and Barack Obama just celebrated it by creating his own version of those iconic Obama-Biden friendship memes.

The former president of the United States uploaded a picture of himself to Twitter giving a televised speech while the former VP grins and points at the audience in the background with this stellar caption:

“ME: Joe, about halfway through the speech, I’m gonna wish you a happy birth–
BIDEN: IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!
ME: Joe.”

Obama’s tweet continued: “Happy birthday to @JoeBiden, my brother and the best vice president anybody could have.”

(Cue tears.)

By now you know the former POTUS and VPOTUS have been the stars of many, many online memes commemorating their endearing relationship, contrasting Obama’s cool presidential poise with Biden’s kooky vibes.

Biden himself is a fan, telling NBC News earlier this year that he’s still not over the Internet’s creativity, and even has favorites. “A couple of ones I liked were ones where I was trying on Ray Bans and he’s lying on the couch and I turn around and I said, ‘Which ones do you like?’ And he looks at me and says, ‘Joe, Joe, come on, focus here,'” he said in the interview. He’s also quite partial to the ones of him pranking Trump. #Same.

Joe Biden on Anita Hill: 'Think of the Courage It Took For Her to Come Forward'

When former Vice President Joe Biden speaks, we listen. His appearance at the 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Summit was no exception. In a surprise conversation with Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leive and Dr. Jill Biden, Biden shared deeply moving stories about his family, discussed ways women can make positive cultural changes in the years ahead, and yes, looked back on those famous Joe Biden and Barack Obama memes. When the conversation turned to Biden’s role as a Senator during Anita Hill’s 1991 sexual harassment trial, Biden made his most noteworthy statement: He voiced his unwavering support for Hill, and an issued an apology to her.

In the context of changing the culture around sexual harassment, an audience member asked Biden if he would have done anything differently in Anita Hill’s case. His response: “I’m so sorry that she had to go through what she went through,” Biden said. “Think of the courage it took for her to come forward. [S]he got put through hell during [the testimony].” He then added that, “I feel really badly that she didn’t feel like the process worked. But I tell you what, I said something at the time that proved to be right, I said this is going to be the start of a fundamental change in what constitutes harassment in the workplace and people are going to begin to change.”

Biden is a vocal advocate for women’s rights and eliminating sexual harassment; he’s spent much of his time since leaving office speaking about consent on college campuses across the country. And in keeping with his statements on consent, Biden backed up Hill’s 1991 testimony against Justice Clarence Thomas. “I’m confident he did what she asserted,” Biden stated. “I believed in Anita. I voted against Clarence Thomas.”

Aside from affirming Hill’s story, Biden went on to defend women’s right to choose if and when they share their experiences of sexual harassment. “Some argued that I should have made her come and testify. The truth of the matter is you don’t want a witness who’s going to come and testify, and be weak in the testimony, and undercut the testimony,” he said.

Biden used his platform to amplify Hill’s story, and those of all women whose cases of assault and harassment weren’t believed in the process. “Anita Hill was victimized, there is no question in my mind,” he said. “Maybe I could have handled it better from the beginning, but I made her case on the floor and I made her case in the committee.”

Taylor Swift's 'Reputation': All the Kimye, Joe Alwyn, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston References

It’s finally here, people: Taylor Swift‘s sixth studio album, Reputation. And it was well worth the wait because the record is good, plain and simple—a delectable collection of techno-heavy bops with poignant, petty, and wildly romantic lyrics. Like all Swift albums, though, fans will most likely care more about the words to these songs than the sonics.

So that’s where we come in: We went ahead and scoured Swift’s new album for all the Joe Alwyn, Calvin Harris, Tom Hiddleston, and Kimye references—and there are a ton of ’em. Swift isn’t playing games this time around, and we love her for it. Dig in.

“Delicate”: This song is one of many odes to Alwyn on this album. She references his blue eyes (“Damn, never seen that color blue”), the women in England (“Do the girls back home touch you like I do?”), and the brevity of their relationship (“Is it too soon to do this yet?”).

“Dress”: “Flashback to when you met me / Your buzz cut / And my hair bleached,” Swift reveals toward the end of this song. Alwyn had a buzzcut while filming Billy Lynn’s Halftime Walk, and Swift had bleached-blond hair for the first half of 2016. The “gold tattoo” reference could also be a nod to Alwyn’s golden blond hair.

“Don’t Blame Me”: There’s no specific references, but this entire song discusses how Swift’s “drug” is her “baby,” so it’s obvious who this is about.

“King of My Heart”: The “king” in this song is not American, because Swift says she’s his “American queen.” She also says this king “fancies” her, which is a British term. And we don’t have to remind you that Alwyn is British.

“Gorgeous”: “Gorgeous” is perhaps the most obvious tribute to Alwyn on the record. It includes lines explicitly referring to his accent (“I got drunk and made fun of the way you talk”) and his eyes (“Ocean blue eyes”).

“…Ready for It?”: Our money’s on this being yet another Alwyn song. The man on this track is “younger than her exes” (Alwyn is 26), and she references an “island.” (The U.K., where Alwyn lives, is an island.) Also, the concept of “games” comes up in this song, which might be a wink to Alwyn’s movie Billy Lynn’s Halftime Walk.

“New Year’s Day”: There’s no direct references here, but it’s a very mushy, sweet love song—who do think is the subject?

“End Game”: Similar to “Ready for It,” the “game” reference here is a possible hat-tip to Billy Lynn’s Halftime Walk.

“So It Goes…”: Swift says, “I’ll wear you like a necklace” on this tune, possibly referring to the “J” pendant she’s been spotted wearing at the Reputation secret sessions (and at her best friend Abigail’s wedding). Also, she talks about how she and this guy have done “numbers” on each other; Swift used numbers in the “…Ready for It?” video to reference herself (1989) and Alwyn (1991, his birth date).

“Call It What You Want”: The most obvious Alwyn reference on this tune is, “I want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck,” which references the “J” pendant mentioned in “So It Goes…” However, “My baby’s fit like a daydream / Walking with his head down” could also be a shout-out to Billy Lynn’s Halftime Walk.

“Dancing With Our Hands Tied”: Swift references a locket on this song, and Harris infamously gave Swift a locket when they were dating. She also mentions she was 25 at the start of this relationship, which is how old she was when she started dating Harris.

“I Did Something Bad”: “If he drops my name, then I owe him nothing,” Swift sings on this tune, which might be a reference to Harris’ Twitter tirade against her after the “This Is What You Came For” drama exploded. (Remember: Swift was a secret contributor to the song, but all hell broke loose when she confirmed her participation in it.) Harris has also gone on the record several times about Swift and their relationship. Other lyrics from this song that point to Harris: “If a man talks shit, then I owe him nothing” and “If he spends my change, then he had it coming.” (Because Harris is listed as the artist and producer on “This Is What You Came For,” he’ll receive more money for the song than Swift, even though she contributed to it.) Also, the title of the song, “I Did Something Bad,” is damning, since Harris said in July 2016 it was hurtful Swift’s team was going out of their way to make him “look bad.”

“Don’t Blame Me”: Swift talks about toying with “older guys” on this song. Harris is 33.

“End Game”: “I’ve got some big enemies,” she sings. That’s sort of self-explanatory.

“Gorgeous”: “I’ve got a boyfriend / He’s older than us / He’s in the club doing I don’t know what.” Harris, Swift’s ex-boyfriend, is a DJ (and presumably always in clubs)…and he’s older.

“Call It What You Want”: “All the liars are calling me one,” Swift sings here. It’s not far-fetched to think this is yet another mention of the “This Is What You Came For” falling out.

“Getaway Car”: “The ties were black / the lies were white,” Swift says at the top of this song, which could be a reference to the Met Gala, the star-studded, black-tie event where she and Hiddleston first got together. The “getaway car” here might personify Swift’s relationship with Hiddleston, which she presumably jumped into to end her time with Harris. “There were sirens in the beat of your heart,” Swift also a notes—a reference to that “I Heart T. Swift” shirt, perhaps? Another obvious jab: “With three of us, honey, it’s a sideshow”—the Swift, Harris, and Hiddleston love triangle was popular tabloid fodder in the summer of 2016.

“Don’t Blame Me”: Same as Harris. Hiddleston is 36—another “older guy” Swift “toyed” with.

“I Did Something Bad”: “They’re burning all the witches even if you aren’t one / They got their pitchforks and proof / Their receipts and reasons,” Swift laments toward the end of this song—a clear nod to when Kim Kardashian posted a conversation between West and Swift to Snapchat about the song “Famous.” Kardashian asserted the conversation proved Swift consented to the “that bitch” line on “Famous,” but Swift said it didn’t.

“This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things”: “It was so nice being friends again / There I was giving you a second chance” could possibly be referring to the fact Swift and West briefly made up in 2015 (she presented him with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at that year’s MTV Video Music Awards). She also clearly nods to the infamous phone call she and West had here: “Friends don’t try to trick you / Get you on the phone and mind-twist you.” And her lyric, “Here’s a toast to my real friends” mirrors this line in West’s song, “Runaway”: “Let’s have a toast for the douchebags.” It’s also plausible that Swift references West and Jay Z’s falling out when she sings, “I’m not the only friend you’ve lost lately / If only you weren’t so shady.”

“End Game”: Similar to Harris, the “I’ve got some big enemies” line could be about West and Kardashian.

“Look What You Made Me Do”: “Don’t like your tilted stage,” Swift quips here, which is assumed to be a dig at West’s Life of Pablo Tour, where he had a tilted stage. Plus, she sings about how the “old Taylor” can’t come to the “phone”—and West and Swift’s infamous feud is about the contents of a phone call.

“Call It What You Want”: “All the liars are calling me one / All the drama queens taking swings / All the jokers dressing up as kings,” Swift notes here. Swift contests what Kimye said about the Snapchat-leaked phone call isn’t true—this lyric could be a reference to that.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' Engagement Party Was L-I-T

Sophie Turner, of Game of Thrones, and Joe Jonas, of DNCE and formerly of a certain eponymous late-2000s boy band composed of brothers, are engaged. The two announced they’d be getting hitched mid-October after a year-ish of dating—marking the commitment with a stunning pear-shaped ring for her. On Saturday night, they had a party at Mamo in New York City to celebrate the wedding (date still TBD, y’all).

Honestly? The soiree for Jophie—we cannot handle this portmanteau; it is too good—looked incredible. We just know our invitations got lost in the mail. First, the guest list was great: the full pack of Jonas brothers, plus Ashley Graham, Ansel Elgort and Spider-Man star Tom Holland. There was an impromptu concert from Joe, who sang “Cake by the Ocean,” a friend’s rendition of “I Would Do Anything for Love,” and sparklers for toasting that soon became fake swords.

For further proof, all you have to do is look at the evidence. Instagram evidence, that is. And there is plenty of it.

We present Exhibit A, a series of photos from what looks like that amazing, Kardashian-approved photo booth that makes your face look (even more!) #flawless.

Exhibit B: More photobooth evidence from Jonas’ bro, Nick.

Exhibit C: Turner followed up this morning with a photo of her in sweats and sunglasses, both of which might have been necessary after their thoroughly lit party.

Case closed! If this is how their engagement kicks off, we can’t wait to see their wedding pics. Congrats to the two lovebirds!

The Necklace Taylor Swift's Been Wearing Lately Confirms Her New Song Is About Joe Alwyn

Taylor Swift’s new song “Call It What You Want” is filled with dozens of Easter eggs. She references several of her past songs in it, and she even starts singing at a significant time mark: Thirteen seconds, her lucky number. Fans know by now nothing Swift does is coincidence, so they’re having fun unpacking this new song, which features some of the most poignant lyrics we’ve heard from Reputation.

Like most Swift tunes, though, the question of, “Who is it about?” keeps popping up. Finding out the answer to this is difficult most of the time, but not in the case of “Call It What You Want.” Nope. All you have to do is look at her accessories.

Lately, Swift’s been spotted wearing what looks like a Tiffany necklace with a “J” initial on it. She rocked this piece of jewelry when she served as a bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding over the summer, and she’s worn it at her Reputation secret listening sessions. Check it out for yourself, below:

So how does this tie into “Call It What You Want?” Well, at one point in the song, she sings, “I want to wear his initial / On a chain round my neck, chain round my neck / Not because he owns me / But ’cause he really knows me.” Hmmm, “his initial on a chain around her neck?” Sort of like the necklace she’s currently accessorizing with all her outfits? It’s more than obvious this song is about her current boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, whose name—brace yourselves—starts with the letter “J.” See the fan tweet, below, for more information.

This is the third song from Reputation that fans think is about Alwyn. “Gorgeous,” which Swift released last week, contains several lyrics that suggest its subject is the 26-year-old actor. “You should take it as a compliment / That I got drunk and made fun of the way you talk,” she sings. (Alwyn is British.) “Ready for It,” Swift’s second Reputation single, is all about the bubbly phase of a new relationship—and Alwyn and Swift have only been dating a year.

Mind blown, right? Well, not really. I mean, If I was dating a cute British actor, I’d sing about him all the time, too.
