Anna Faris Confirms She’s Engaged—And Says She Would Officiate Her Own Wedding


Anna Faris is engaged to cinematographer Mike Barrett, she confirmed on February 11 to James Corden. The Scary Movie actor sparked engagement rumors earlier in February, when she posted a photo with Jason Biggs in which she shows a massive ring on that finger. Corden asked Faris about the ring on The Late Late Show.

“This is quite the ring, congratulations,” Corden said, to which Faris replied, “Thank you” and then asked him whether he’d consider officiating the wedding.

“You would want me to officiate your wedding?” Corden asked, and Faris cheekily responded, “Well, I would love it if you auditioned. If you came in and read!”

Faris told Corden she wants someone to officiate her wedding who’s “humorous that also brings heartfelt sentiment and doesn’t talk too much about themselves.”

That’s when she made the best joke ever: that she could officiate her own wedding. At least, I think it was a joke. Can someone officiate their own wedding? If that’s actually allowed, Faris should be the first one to do it.

“I could [officiate my wedding],” Faris quipped. “I need a lot of attention, James!”

Anna Faris and actor Chris Pratt were married for eight years and announced their split in December 2017 (they share a son together named Jack). Pratt is now married to Katherine Schwarzenegger. Last year Faris revealed on her podcast, Unqualified, that Pratt actually texted her after he popped the question to Schwarzenegger.

“Chris texted me this morning and he was like, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night,'” the Mom actor said. “And I was like, ‘Ahh, that’s amazing.’”

She continued, “I’m so happy for them. I knew that it was gonna happen and I love her and I love him and I’m just so happy that they found each other…. I so subscribe to the idea of, like, expanding, like, family and love with [my son] Jack. [Katherine’s] awesome.”

Jennifer Lopez Confirms She Paid Homage to 'Hustlers' During Her Super Bowl Performance

“That was my little nod to Hustlers,” Lopez confirmed to Fallon. “I was like, ‘I learned some pole things, lemme see what I could do, we can put it in there.'”

In addition to putting her hours learning to pole dance for the movie to use, she also wanted her performance to be a demonstration of power. “I just felt, again, like it was a very powerful move,” Lopez said. “It was like, ‘Look Ma, no hands!'”

Power moves weren’t limited to Lopez’s quick Hustlers call-out. She started her performance on top of a replica of the Empire State building to represent female power. “I wanted it to be like women were on top of the world, we’re on top of the world right now!” Lopez said. She added that she chose “Jenny From the Block” as her song for that moment because, “I’m a New York girl,” she added.

Lopez had a lot of choreography to pull off, but she told Fallon it didn’t faze her. “I’m good!” she said. “That’s what happens, right before you go on you start getting in the zone. That’s why I’m doing all of those crazy things and my face is like dead face, because you have to stay so calm.”

Even with her experience on the stage, pole dancing was a challenge for Lopez ahead of Hustlers. “That steel pole is unforgiving, and you just have to figure it out,” she said perviously. And on her YouTube channel last year, Lopez revealed that she trained for her Hustlers role with the help of an aerialist and practice poles installed in each of her homes.

Rihanna Confirms She Turned Down the Super Bowl Halftime Show


Last year it was reported that Rihanna had turned down an offer to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in support of the NFL players who opted to kneel during the national anthem. (The athletes did this to peacefully protest police brutality in black communities.) This movement started with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who eventually filed a grievance against the NFL. In a new interview with Vogue, Rihanna confirmed that she did, indeed, pass on the Super Bowl to stand with Kaepernick.

“I couldn’t dare do that,” she said. “For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.”

Rihanna addressed other political topics in her Vogue interview, as well. When the writer brought up President Donald Trump, who urged the NFL to fire players who kneeled during the anthem, and his recent characterization of shootings in El Paso and Dayton as part of a “mental illness problem,” she didn’t hold back.

“People are being murdered by war weapons that they legally purchase,” she said. “This is just not normal. That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist…. Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem. The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the president.”

Rihanna also talked about her recent move to London and said that, although she’s thousands of miles away, she doesn’t feel removed from the political climate in America: “When I see something happen to any woman, a woman of any minority, kids, black men being murdered in the streets—I can’t remove myself from that.”

Miley Cyrus Confirms Cody Simpson Dating Rumors With an Epic Clap Back


Just one day after Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson were spotted kissing in Los Angeles, the “Slide Away” singer has responded to critics who say she’s moving on too quickly from her relationship with soon-to-be ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

In a lengthy message posted to social media, Cyrus made it very clear that she’s a grown woman now and can and will date whomever she wants.

“I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning,” Cyrus began her post, seemingly referencing her marriage to the actor, which ended over the summer. “I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up.”

She continued, “But I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet.”

The 26-year-old pop star went on to say she there shouldn’t be a double standard when it comes to how men and women date. In fact, she doesn’t believe she should be expected to stay quiet following her break up.

“Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut-shamed,” she wrote.

“They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence,” she explained. “They are usually referred to as ‘legends,’ ‘heartthrobs,’ ‘G,’ ‘Ladies Man,’ etc…. where women are called sluts/whores!”

“I am just trying to thrive in a man’s world. If we can’t beat ’em, join ’em! If our president can ‘grab em by the p****’…. can’t I just have a kiss and an açai bowl?!?!” she concluded the first part of her statement.

Cyrus later asked her fans and the public to be patient with her and allow her to date publicly without the scrutiny.

Meghan Markle Is in Labor, Buckingham Palace Confirms


It’s happening, people: Meghan Markle is in labor. Buckingham Palace confirmed the news on Monday, May 6. “The Duchess went into labour in the early hours of this morning. The Duke of Sussex was by Her Royal Highnesses’ side. An announcement will be made soon,” the palace wrote in a statement.

In October, news broke that Markle and Prince Harry were expecting their first child, and a few months later we learned her expected due date was in late April/early May. The speculation about when Markle would give birth has been wild, especially these last few weeks, so Buckingham Palace released a rare statement saying it would announce when she was in labor. It appears the palace stayed true to its word.

Jennifer Lopez Confirms What We All Know, Says A-Rod Is the Ultimate Instagram Husband


If you’re looking to find the perfect inspiration to showcase your Instagram-official relationship, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez—masters of the art form—have some advice.

The newly engaged pair have diligently documented their entire romance on Instagram, straight from the moment they went public. From vacations to events, product launches, and even their engagement, it’s all up there for the world to see. And, according to Lopez, it’s all thanks to A-Rod’s hard work as an Instagram (future) husband.

“He loves taking pictures and documenting the moment,” Lopez shared with People. Rodriguez echoed his fiance’s statement, adding that he’s more than happy to photograph and share their every move—especially now that he’s retired from baseball.

“I don’t have to play 162 games anymore, so I have a lot time on my hands,” he said. “I like to have fun.”

But, let’s be real, it’s not like A-Rod developed these Insta skills on his own: He happily admitted that he receives a little bit of advice from his daughters Natasha, 14, and Ella, 10, on exactly how to capture a moment for social media the best way.

“My coaches are my girls—they’re my biggest critics,” Rodriguez said. “I know immediately if I posted something dorky, because both of the girls start blowing me up. They’re like, ‘Dad take that down, we’re teenagers. We’re going to be ragged on at school.’ We have fun with it, but they know best because that’s more their strength.”

Of course, the relationship between J.Lo and A-Rod is a symbiotic one. Although Rodriguez has lent even more shine to his future wife’s Insta game, she’s returned the favor by helping him with his own (more literal) style.

“Jennifer has taught me that it’s less about what you wear and more about the fit,” Rodriguez told People. And you can definitely tell—after all, this couple is basically famous for dressing in adorably coordinated outfits.

But in the end, the duo noted that it’s really about getting to do things together, as a couple.

“Everything that we do, we do together,” Lopez said. “We’re constantly supporting each other in our individual endeavors and then we’re thinking about all the things that we can build together. He knows my dreams and I know his dreams, and together we feel like we’re stronger. He is my biggest collaborator and my biggest supporter.”
