Céline Dion Wore the 'Titanic' Necklace During Haute Couture Fashion Week, Because of Course She Did

The Heart of the Ocean necklace may have ended up at the bottom of the ocean at the end of Titanic, but that wasn’t about to stop Céline Dion from incorporating it into her Fashion Week looks.

The Canadian singer was spotted out and about on Tuesday in Paris, where she’s attending the haute couture shows, wearing what is easily one of the most iconic jewels in film history.

Okay, fine, it’s a replica—plucked from Vetements’ spring 2020 show. Still, it made for a moment. The rest of her look—an ultra-trend oversized blazer and a T-shirt that reads “I Heart Paris Hilton”—was also from the brand.

It’s not even the first time Dion pays a fashion homage to Titanic while wearing the brand. She famously wore Vetements’ oversized hoodie with the movie’s poster featuring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio in July 2016… to Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, no less. We sense a theme here.

Dion also wore a replica of the Heart of the Ocean necklace to the 1998 Oscars, when “My Heart Will Go On” was nominated—and won— Best Original Song.

Her latest outfit was relatively laid-back, considering her recent Fashion Week style record. As we’ve mentioned, she lives, breathes, and cries couture—and she’s dressed to the nines, whether she’s sitting front row or casually leaving her hotel. And our hearts will go on for it.

The Necklace Taylor Swift's Been Wearing Lately Confirms Her New Song Is About Joe Alwyn

Taylor Swift’s new song “Call It What You Want” is filled with dozens of Easter eggs. She references several of her past songs in it, and she even starts singing at a significant time mark: Thirteen seconds, her lucky number. Fans know by now nothing Swift does is coincidence, so they’re having fun unpacking this new song, which features some of the most poignant lyrics we’ve heard from Reputation.

Like most Swift tunes, though, the question of, “Who is it about?” keeps popping up. Finding out the answer to this is difficult most of the time, but not in the case of “Call It What You Want.” Nope. All you have to do is look at her accessories.

Lately, Swift’s been spotted wearing what looks like a Tiffany necklace with a “J” initial on it. She rocked this piece of jewelry when she served as a bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding over the summer, and she’s worn it at her Reputation secret listening sessions. Check it out for yourself, below:

So how does this tie into “Call It What You Want?” Well, at one point in the song, she sings, “I want to wear his initial / On a chain round my neck, chain round my neck / Not because he owns me / But ’cause he really knows me.” Hmmm, “his initial on a chain around her neck?” Sort of like the necklace she’s currently accessorizing with all her outfits? It’s more than obvious this song is about her current boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, whose name—brace yourselves—starts with the letter “J.” See the fan tweet, below, for more information.

This is the third song from Reputation that fans think is about Alwyn. “Gorgeous,” which Swift released last week, contains several lyrics that suggest its subject is the 26-year-old actor. “You should take it as a compliment / That I got drunk and made fun of the way you talk,” she sings. (Alwyn is British.) “Ready for It,” Swift’s second Reputation single, is all about the bubbly phase of a new relationship—and Alwyn and Swift have only been dating a year.

Mind blown, right? Well, not really. I mean, If I was dating a cute British actor, I’d sing about him all the time, too.
