Kendall Jenner Just Opened Up About Her Friend Hailey Baldwin's Engagement


Kendall Jenner is in New York this week and paid an obligatory visit to The Tonight Show for a breezy chat with Jimmy Fallon. The duo chatted about everything from Jenner’s lifelong love of horses to her new gig as the ambassador of Longchamp. After Fallon was done hitting all of his talking points, the chat transitioned to Hailey Baldwin, who just happens to be one of Jenner’s closest friends. And, apparently, Fallon (like us) has been dying to know Jenner’s take on her bestie’s recent engagement to Justin Bieber.

Fallon eventually asked Jenner what she thought of her friend’s major milestone. “Are you happy [Hailey] and Justin Bieber are engaged? I think it’s perfect. They’re so in love,” Fallon said. Jenner, in turn, replied, “Yeah, whatever makes them happy, I’m happy. I’ve been friends with both of them for a very long time. So everybody’s happy, and that makes me happy.”

Well, that’s sweet of her to say. Could she be angling for a gig as one of Baldwin’s bridesmaids? Considering how close they’ve been over the years, we’re going to go ahead and assume that Jenner already had it in the bag. After all, these two buddies have been through a lot together — everything from double dates (in Baldwin’s pre-engagement days) to nights out at basketball games to getting matching finger tattoos of broken hearts. True friendship, my friends!

Hailey Baldwin’s Engagement Ring Is Honestly Even Bigger Than I Imagined


After months of trying to catch a glimpse of it from grainy paparazzi photos, fans finally have a good look at Hailey Baldwin‘s engagement ring from Justin Bieber, and it’s even more stunning and sparkly than you’d expect.

The model appears on the September cover of Vogue México, and her enormous diamond ring is front and center in the photo. In the black-and-white shot, Baldwin is seen resting her head on her arm, with her hand casually draped in front of her, allowing a full view of her oval-shaped stone and 18-karat-gold band.

While this is the first time we’ve seen the ring up close, we do know a few things about what went into the selection process.

“[Justin] had certain design elements that he wanted and he had certain expectations, and I think we delivered,” Jack Solow, of New York City–based Solow & Co. Inc. Diamond Jewelers, who designed the ring, previously revealed. “It was about the diamond. I think he knew very well what Baldwin wanted in a ring, but he wanted it very much to be about a very special diamond. He left it in my hands to try and select the most beautiful diamond for someone like Hailey.” The singer was also adamant that the ring have an 18-karat-gold band, which Solow speculated was important to Baldwin.

The design process reportedly involved a series of phone calls and back-and-forth photo exchanges. After only a few weeks, the custom piece of jewelry was ready for Bieber’s proposal. “Like any other young man, he said, ‘Wow, it’s gorgeous,'” Solow said. “There was one moment when he looked into the diamond and I said, ‘What do you see inside that diamond?’ He goes, ‘I think I see Hailey’s face,’ so that was kind of cute.”

Here's When Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber Are Reportedly Getting Married


Contrary to popular belief (and their whirlwind engagement), Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin reportedly will not be getting married any time soon. According to a report by TMZ, unnamed sources claim that the two are putting off their wedding to 2019. The sources made sure to clarify this isn’t because either of them has cold feet. Instead, it’s all about commitment. The sources also told TMZ that their quick engagement wasn’t “jumping the gun,” either. “Justin’s been in love with her for a long time, so this didn’t just come from out of the blue,” a source said TMZ, adding that they had gotten together a few times outside of public knowledge.

The news comes just four days after Bieber was spotted by TMZ reading a book called The Meaning of Marriage as he left Baldwin’s apartment. When asked why the couple had been photographed crying while going out for a bike ride, Bieber responded, “This,” and pointed to the book. “You’ve got good days and you’ve got bad days. It’s not real if it doesn’t have any bad days.”

Just a month earlier, Us Weekly reported that the pair had already begun planning their wedding. “They want something private, intimate,” a so-called source told Us Weekly, adding that the “very small wedding” would probably be set in Canada. “Justin loves Canada and is at home there. It’s a special place for him and he’d love to get married there.”

Previously, the couple confirmed their engagement on their respective social media accounts after dating for around a month. “Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with!” Baldwin tweeted. “No words could ever express my gratitude.”

Meanwhile, Bieber opted for something that could not be contained within Twitter’s 280-character limit.

“Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” he wrote on Instagram. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Continue Their Engagement World Tour With an Ice Cream Date in Canada


So far, the Justin Bieber–Hailey Baldwin engagement tour has had some intense highs and lows: First there was the big reveal in the Bahamas, then there was the awkward pic of them making out in a hot tub that definitely wasn’t a selfie—and most recently there was an intense-seeming crying-while-biking excursion in New York City that we’ll come back to in a minute.

Luckily, their latest adventure is a little less weepy: Fans posted photos of the newly engaged couple hitting up the Bieb’s home country and stopping for ice cream in Stratford, Ontario. Apparently, they dropped by to get some quality time in with Bieber’s younger siblings, Jazmyn and Jaxon, who were also photographed flashing some gigantic cones.

Later, there also seems to have been some sort of outing involving a baby pig, which Baldwin dutifully documented on her Instagram stories.

The couple hasn’t been shying away from the cameras—at least since news of the engagement slipped out into the public. Shortly after rumors started swirling, Bieber confirmed he’d popped the question with a gushy Instagram post dedicated to Baldwin. “My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first,” he wrote. “You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!”

Bieb-and-Baldwin stans got a little bit worried when just a few weeks later, the couple was photographed on a pair of Citi Bikes, with Bieber looking like he was having a proper meltdown en route.

Could there be trouble in Jailey paradise? Apparently not, Bieber confirmed later—he’s just been reading “The Meaning of Marriage” by Timothy Keller and feeling a bit emotional about his relationship. He didn’t reveal too much but told TMZ, “You got good days and you got bad days. It’s not real if it doesn’t have any bad days.”

Luckily, their Canada date seemed to be much more cheerful, but it’s hard to break down in tears when you have ice cream in front of you.

Here's Who Hailey Baldwin's Bridesmaids Will Be For Her Wedding to Justin Bieber


Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber have already dived headfirst into planning their wedding, beginning, apparently, by hand-picking the friends and family they want standing by their sides on the big day. Though we don’t know yet whether we’ll see Hailey’s pal Kendall Jenner wearing a bridesmaid dress at the wedding or if Justin’s “brother” Tony will serve as a groomsman, we now know at least two of the women Hailey has chosen for her half of the wedding party.

In an interview with Us Weekly on Tuesday, Kim Basinger, mom of Hailey’s cousin Ireland Baldwin, spoke about Hailey and Justin’s wedding plans. “Oh, it’ll be fun. Alaia and Ireland, they’re in the wedding,” Kim said, referring to Hailey’s older sister, Alaia Baldwin Aronow. “It’s cool! I think it’s sweet. It’s a very sweet thing. Happiness. We’re living in some really dire times right now,” she added. “I’m very, very happy for Hailey. I think it’s a good thing. I think Justin’s a cool guy. I don’t really know him at all, but Ireland does, you know? I think he’s come through a rough road. He’s a really cool kid. I pray for them. I hope they’re cool. I hope they’re happy!”

Hailey, Ireland, and Alaia have stood side by side at the altar before, when Alaia got married last September. At the time, Hailey served as her sister’s maid of honor — and, perhaps, will ask Alaia to return the favor — while Ireland joined five more of Alaia’s closest friends as bridesmaids. In an uncanny twist of fate, during the wedding reception, Hailey shared a selfie with her dad Stephen Baldwin on her Instagram Story with the caption, “Dad said me next…..” Though she added an adamant “NOT,” her dad has, in fact, turned out to be correct.

Both Alaia and Ireland took to Instagram shortly after news broke of Hailey and Justin’s engagement to share their excitement. Ireland shared a throwback photo of the trio playing in a bathtub, writing, “There’s gunna be one less lonely girl ? … and only one lonely girl left ?my other chicken is soon to be a beautiful bride ♥️. congratulations to the two of you @haileybaldwin @justinbieber.”

The following day, Alaia posted a photo of her and her sister at her own wedding. “From one bride to the next…..congratulations to my baby sister on this exciting next chapter! I love you and wish you both the best. Can’t wait to celebrate with you! @haileybaldwin @justinbieber ????” she wrote.

Well, the rumors are true: Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber really are engaged. Reports surfaced over the weekend that Bieber proposed to Baldwin while in the Bahamas; soon after, his father maybe-kinda confirmed the news with an Instagram post telling his son that he’s “proud” and “excited for the next chapter.” But no need to second guess now because Bieber and Baldwin have just confirmed themselves.

Baldwin kept it simple with a tweet, writing, “Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with! No words could ever express my gratitude.”

Bieber, meanwhile, posted a cute photo of the two snuggling on Instagram with a long, gushing caption about their relationship.

“Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast,” the singer wrote on Instagram today (July 9). “Listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! Bieber may not have planned for this proposal to be on a day of “spiritual perfection,” but he did predict their marriage two years ago: Back in 2016, the singer told GQ that he wanted their relationship to be pure. “I don’t want to put anyone in a position where they feel like I’m only theirs, only to be hurt in the end,” he told the magazine. “Right now in my life, I don’t want to be held down by anything. … I don’t want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility. I know that in the past I’ve hurt people and said things that I didn’t mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I’m just more so looking at the future, making sure I’m not damaging them.
